when people think about making money

blogging a lot of people go straight to

display ads like that is the most common

way that people make money from their

blogs and articles by putting up display

ads so basically the way you would

monetize with ads is join a ad Network

such as Google AdSense mediavine which I

am a part of I thrive as zoic I think is

one and these networks will help you to

add a code on your site now of course

the amount of money that you make

through ads is highly dependent on the

amount of traffic that you're getting to

your blog if you're getting a lot of

traffic you're gonna get a lot of money

paid out to you by these ad networks and

it also depends on the network that you

join how much you get per click and per

view and some of these networks will

also have traffic requirements so when

you are just starting your blog it's

highly unlikely that you're gonna make a

nine to five type of income just through

ads unless you are getting saying like a

million page views per month but I get

it I get why people want ads on their

sites because it's very exciting to see

those first dollars those first cents

roll in it makes it all feel super

possible I am making money online and if

I can make a few cents I can make a few

Millions I get it it's really really

exciting but in 2023 I would not I would

not put up ads on my site if I were just

starting my blog I would wait until I

met the requirements for ad Thrive or

mediavine and then I would just look at

it as a sweet little bonus because in my

honest opinion I'm gonna say my honest

opinion A Lot in this video traffic

doesn't matter nearly as much as

building a community online that's what

matters that's where your focus should

be in my first year of blogging I had 1

million pages to my blog I had ads on my

site but I wasn't making 10K months I

was making very you know far less than

that I didn't know how to monetize that

traffic and there were just a bunch of

people coming into my website not

signing up for my email list not joining

my community so community and building

your email list is so so important but

what I want to say before we get on to

the next way to make money vlogging is

that yes use display ads as a little

bonus but don't do it just yet if you're

not getting at least 20 000 page views

per month because if you're not it's

just not worth it in my opinion all

right so the next way that you can make

money with your blog is affiliate

marketing now what affiliate marketing

is is you go out there and you promote

other people's products write about them

in your blog post you have links to them

on your resources page you link to them

in emails or on Instagram wherever you

show up online and create content I made

my first five dollars online by

promoting the productivity planner again

very exciting to see that it's all

possible but is affiliate marketing

worth it in 2020 A3 let's see shall we I

think you should look at affiliate

income like you're looking at your

display ads strategy like a sweet little

bonus the cherry on top on the income

that you're already making because

here's the thing you are not in control

of the product tools services that you

provide if the owner of that product

decides to take it off the internet or

cancel their affiliate program you don't

want to be dependent on that they're

going to take away your income I

remember when I started my blog I got

very excited about affiliate income and

it is exciting I signed up for Amazon's

affiliate program and I was so excited

to make all this money but the thing is

if you want to make a lot of money

through affiliate income you need to

promote products that are very expensive

because most of the commission that

you're gonna get I mean it's anywhere

from five to fifty percent of the sale

so the higher the price of the product

that you're promoting the more money

you're gonna get with Amazon Affiliates

it's not very lucrative you're not going

to make a lot of money by promoting and

talking about a low ticket offer on

Amazon for example books but again I get

it you can feel exciting to see that

you're actually making money online but

you're not in control of the products

the only thing that you're in control of

is the marketing of the product it's

just very unpredictable because you

don't have any control so I wouldn't

make affiliate income the only way of

making money through your blog the next

way to make money blogging in 2023 is

through sponsorships writing a blog post

for another business or company to

promote and showcase their products and

services this isn't something that I've

done a lot to be honest it's just not

worth my time my energy because I'm the

kind of person who wants to make money

while I'm watching friends and living my

life and doing other introvert-friendly

activities because with sponsorships

although they can pay bro relatively

well you're trading your time for money

so that's just something to be aware of

I think when you're just starting your

blog it's going to be harder to land

those high-paying sponsorships so in the

beginning I just don't think it's worth

your time all right coming up we have

products and now I'm not talking online

courses we're gonna get into that I'm

talking ebooks mini guides audio

downloads planners templates PDFs that

you sell on your website on your blog

definitely experiment with digital

products you know take the freebie idea

that you have expand on that and turn it

into a paid low ticket offer this is a

great way to see if your audience are

interested in that topic and are willing

to pay for that kind of product and if

you're basing it off of your freebie

they should already be into that so

that's another thing to think about and

then you can turn that digital product

let's say that you have a goal setting

planner that you're selling for for

twelve dollars you could turn that into

a full-blown course and charge a much

higher price so definitely Implement a

digital product into your blogging

business this is the first thing that I

ever created it was my ebook dream

morning and it gave me the idea for my
