news for weathering waves and we're just
going to go through all of it it's quite
a read with a lot of interesting things
so without further Ado let's just uh
yeah let's take a
look unfortunately no webcam and stuff
like that rolled out of bed so I look
like absolute garbage but now this
article they published on June 1st I
believe actually so I guess I'm a little
late to the party but I just saw this
this morning so we are going to go over
it now announcement on weaing waves 1.0
version and future adjustment directions
dear Rovers greetings we are the weaing
waves Dev team since the official launch
weathering waves we've received a lot of
valuable feedback and suggestions
through social media and in-game surveys
we're genuinely grateful for your
attention and support we apologize for
the deficiencies and issues present in
weathering waves our first fully
independent developed and globally
published game at crew games
congratulations to crew games for you
know publishing their first uh I didn't
realize this is their first
independently developed uh game there so
we understand that this has affected
your gaming experience and we are
working to improve it for those who love
the game we've been working on
optimization and iterations for the
current 1.0 version and the development
of subsequent version updates is also
under way below we will address some of
the most discussed and concerned issues
as always I do really appreciate how
prompt they are with you know responding
to the community as well as to provide
us with updates so this is aw for C
games and their at least how often and
frequently they do communicate with the
player base which is great now number
one on the echo development experience
Echo development feels grindy and
inadequate energy materials and oh boy
this is so true uh you pretty much have
to spend like one to three entire days
worth of stamina in order to just level
up a single Echo up to level 25 at least
from onion level 30 or so now it does
get a little bit better as you get
further into the game now we are aware
of the common concern in the community
that the current Echo leveling
experience feels too grindy and the game
lacks a wave plate storage system we
have confirmed and will implement the
following adjustments while we are
working internally on solutions to
address other common concern concerns in
the current version we will launch a
limited Echo material double yield event
cord cleansing so this will likely just
double the rewards from the tacit Fields
similar to genin impacts layline events
where they double it for a few days now
in version 1.1 we will adjust the
progression system to reduce the Shell
credit costs of echo development so I
didn't notice a huge amount of shell
credits going into Echo development but
less resources need to level Echo is
always good in version 1.1 we will
remove the reward cut scene Tass field
yes that reward cut scene is very buggy
and it just waste time and yeah if you
try to claim rewards after you complete
it and the cut scene isn't like fully I
don't I don't know what the spaghetti
code is in there but basically if you
talk to it you get an error message and
you have to wait another 5 Seconds to
claim the reward oh boy curo code out is
finest now from version 1.1 and4 the
yield of Echo and Echo development
material will be increased this is
actually an important one and that means
that outside of farming for this limited
event double yield event I'm assuming
that you are better off saving your
resources if you can hold off on it um
and you should be farming other stuff
because perhaps the amount of echo
reward and Echo development material
will be increased from the tcid fields
which means that obviously stamina you
spend on it now won't be as effective in
the future now as for me I'm going to be
too impatient and I want to build my
characters now so I'll still be spending
a amount of stamina on the tcid fields
now in upcoming updates we will
introduce the wave plates storage system
so they didn't mention a specific
version but this is good to be able to
you know just kind of like Store wave
plates probably similar to condensed
resin or perhaps an overflow system like
Hong Kai star whale we'll have to see
how they implement it no further details
on that regarding our handling of the
reward system air when recycling
developed echos on May 29 2024 we were
notified of an issue with the echo
recycling system where the amount of
shell credits players obtained when
recycling developed Echo was wrong since
this is an issue that directly impacts
the game balance we fixed this problem
through an emergency live update on the
same night and issued compensation to
all players as part of the measure to
minimize the events impact on the
fairness within the player community we
informed the players of the situation
and announced that we would remove all
additional shell credits obtained
unexpectedly as a result of this bug
within 14 business days and issue
compensations accordingly however due to
the urgency of this issue we failed to
issue an announcement of this issue in
the first instance which regrettably
caused negative experience for our
players we sincerely apologize for our
improper way of handling the situation
and the inconvenience caused following
an internal discussion we have decided
to compensate all players with the Shell
credit based on the maximum amount of
Shell credit that had been unexpectedly
yielded through this bug to address the
negative impact CA will round up to the
nearest whole number and provide extra
compensation to all players sh credit X1
million so this is really interesting
because I didn't notice this I also
didn't see it and I did do a lot of like
Echo
recycling I I didn't even know that you
get shell credits from that but um
supposedly I guess the rewards were too
high for what it's worth and maybe some
players got up to 1 million Shell credit
that let's be real for them to feel the
necessity to remove the 1 million Shell
credit already shows that you know their
systems are kind of on fire they don't
know what to do this reminds me of kind
of like the JP weapon compensation where
they're like hey uh why don't you fill
out this Google form to let us know how
much money we should give back to you I
never personally saw the form so I can't
corroborate that detail but just hearing
about that you know really shows that
they are kind of panicking they're not
really sure how to handle all these
issues it's likely they subtracted shell
credits maybe potentially even you know
making some players confused as to why
they had so many less all of a sudden I
didn't notice this if any of you guys

below the good news is that everyone
will be getting 1 million Shell credit
by the end of day on June 10th UTC Plus
8 anyway we apologize again for the
Hasty way we handled this issue and for
any inappropriate wording in our
announcements we promise that all our
future decisions shall reflect thorough
consideration and professionalism
additionally to address the poor
experience with the ecosystem we will
compensate all Rovers with Crystal
solvents X20 which is is 60 wave plate
potions and thank you for your
understanding and support so I'm
absolutely not complaining about getting
20 more Crystal solvents so the next
issue is the whole five-star weapon and
JP um translation error and on the error
in five-star weapon description as has
been discovered by our players the
description of the five-star weapon ver
Dawn Summit in the game in certain
languages contained a Mis transation
upon discovering this issue we promptly
corrected the description and issued
compensations to all Rovers we've also
initiated a comprehensive internal
review of the localized versions of the
in-game text across all languages that
we support any corrections or
improvements made during the process
will be included in the upcoming Updates
this is interesting to me they're
implying that they didn't have a
comprehensive internal review of the
localized version in game text as we can
see ingame texts descriptions and stuff
do have a big impact on player decision
as well as experience you know I mean
the game is full of a lot of translation
errors and stuff like that now I don't
really blame them there's a ton of text
to really uh go through and stuff but
when it comes to you know deciding
whether you should spend money on a
certain weapon for a certain character
um it is a bit of an issue and they
ended up um you know basically having a
pretty big debacle over on the JP side
where they also accidentally leaked a
whole bunch of the emails of the GP
players that were Ed by this by this
mistranslation so just bungle after
bungle on that side but you know they
are still a smallish company I believe
and they are they will certainly be
learning from their mistakes and
experiences here so hopefully things
will improve as they move forward now in
the meantime we will offer a one-time
compensation of forging Tides X5 to all
Rovers for the known localization issue
so this appears to just be going out to
to everyone not just the JP players that
were really affected by this
mistranslation so yeah I mean five
forging tight polls isn't much but of
course free stuff is free stuff and we
cannot complain about that now on
version events and this is interesting
um as we can see version 1.0 for
weathering waves is a bit dry um now to
be completely fair I believe after
talking to Goa gamer and stuff uh we I
don't recall version genjin impact
version 1.0 having a major event and of
course the version 1.0 tends to be
carried by just all the sheer amount of
content of the game that's released so
you know the major events don't tend to
be the biggest thing they're talking
about the over Dash Club event and they
are redesigning the rules and rewards
schemes for upcoming events and the
Immediate Solutions are as follows we
will introduce a new limited time
special event weing exploration offer
new rewards and content to improve your
gaming experience so this event will
begin on June 13th and it looks like
we'll be getting 800 asites one
morphable Elite Class Echo 1 and
morphable Elite Class Echo 2 so these
are great because these are basically
you can choose the main stats of the
Elite Class I believe these are the same
ones that we get from the current
Labyrinth now moving forward we shall
ensure we make greater Collective
Endeavors internally and designing the
version events to improve event content
quality and rewards for your better
experience expence so I got to be
completely honest it's likely they just
kind of copied the amount of rewards
that certain genjin impact events give
and they slapped it into the overd Das
club and they called it a day and
unfortunately it looks like the player
base for weing waves is far more
demanding in terms of rewards and we're
not quite happy with that so they are I
guess just giving us more rewards uh
can't complain and yeah this is really
showing that you know Kur games
definitely bends over for these issues
and they absolutely cater to player
feedback uh so you know I guess keep the
feedback coming in uh everyone because
it's just getting us more free stuff so
it looks like they are releasing yinlin
story Quest I believe a bit early on
June 6th I mean that's cool I guess that
also means more onion experience for
those of us that want to progress a
little bit faster through uh onion
leveling now weathering WS version 1.0
will last until June 28th after which
they will release version 1.1 wow I
wouldn't have saw that coming and
version 1.1 though interestingly will
have a new area called Mount firmament
now I do wonder if this is similar to
Dragon spine um so yeah I guess uh we're
going to get a new Mountain Area I do
wonder if it's covered in snow and if
it'll be very cold and we will have new
resonators Jin s and chongle and the new
boss as well what's nice about this and
I guess I'll just read it do comment say
for any inconvenience caused by this
version timing adjustment we will issue
compensation to all Rovers radiant tide
X10 so basically they're just giving us
10 additional featured Banner polls for
whatever issue that they're claiming
this is which is great um not going to
complain about that and that will be
distributed on June 3rd as well so keep
your eyes peeled it's basically today
for na players and June 3rd for well you
know players in other time zones and
next is on combat and control experience
optimizations oh my gosh this game's
combat while also being one of its best
points it also has a few issues to say
the least now we have heard your
feedback regarding poor experience with
auto aiming and auto lock on yes thank
you the auto aiming and lock on is
absolutely atrocious basically you will
just snap back to an enemy that you're
not even looking at on the screen
because it appears that the auto aiming
doesn't really focus on the direction
that your camera is looking in
whereas like in gench and impact one of
the main factors for determining which
enemy you actually Target is based on
which enemy your camera is faced towards
and this game that is not the case you
will just snap back behind you while
looking forward to try to hit the enemy
in front of you and it just feels
absolutely terrible based on the issues
that repeatedly come up in player
discussions we have identified the
following issues and we'll address them
accordingly while working on a solution
to other known issues not listed below
in recent updates we have disabled the
combat camera correction feature on PC
by default we've also optimized the
default value and ranges for combat
camera settings now I'm not exactly sure
what this combat camera correction
feature did but whatever it was doing it
was absolutely horrible it was super
hard to see the bosses it's super hard
to adjust the camera when you're doing
certain abilities and I haven't noticed
them change this personally but maybe
there are some nuances and small things
but either way the important thing is
that they are aware of these issues and
hopefully they can fix these issues now
bosses existing combat State
unexpectedly okay so I'm not sure what
that's saying but in recent updates we
have optimized the aggro ranges for
certain bosses including thring Memphis
crownless and lampy and the Heron as
well so I guess there's just something
about the boss's aggro State I
personally haven't noticed this issue
but hey now ghost touch issues on mobile
in recent updates we expanded the anti-
ghost touch areas around buttons all
right so they're fixing some mobile
things and we have some custom key Bing
stuff blah blah blah future versions
will support controller mode on mobile
devices so adding mobile um adding
controller support to mobile is great
now poor game field design and impact
signification I'm going to be completely
honest they should have you know kind of
a more PR focused individual don't just
call it poor game design like I mean you
know for a company to just call their
own game poor game field design I mean
it's a certain level of self-awareness
but personally you know I think a
different word choice could be better
they're basically say hey look our game
is poorly designed right here but hey
you know uh I'm not working for them and
I'm also not PR so what do I know in
future versions We Will constantly
improve the event signification and game
field design for characters and monsters
enhancing the overall combat experience
and positive feedback during battles on
other content no purchase limits for
store items like flower oh yeah that's
that's actually really funny so you
could accidentally end up purchasing
like you know a thousand flowers and
just deplete all your all your shell
credits oh that's so funny I wonder how
many people accidentally made this
mistake now audio and sound effect bugs
in recent updates we have addressed
issues regarding sound effects and Loud
ambient sounds all right yeah for a
little bit of time the music was
actually just completely broken in the
game where you couldn't hear any of the
Music In weing Waves their jurab board
for bugs has got to be I I can't even
imagine it as a developer I don't even
want to think about how many bugs they
have listed on their Jer board but
anyway performance issues crashes and
instability in recent updates we fixed
crash and instability issues affecting
certain devices this is great um I
believe people have noticed some
performance improvements and they're
just going to keep on doing that
especially as more people play the game
uh they're going to have a lot more
crash logs and things like that so
they'll be able to utilize that data to
hopefully fix the game even further now
depths of elusive realm event
optimization and updates so yeah I guess
they're just going to add more stuff to
it to the Labyrinth mode of the game
including new playable characters new
challenges new

mechanics so to summarize we are getting
1 million Shell credit we are getting 20
Crystal solvents we are going to be
getting five featured weapon Banner
poles we're getting a new event I guess
that's going to give us an additional
800 asterite morphable Elite Class Echo
1 morphable Elite Class echo2 plus some
premium tuner and premium sealed tubes
we are also getting the radiant tide X10
which is 10 featured character pulls um
all in this notification so look forward
to a bunch of additional rewards now me
personally I'm still having a blast with
this game and I hope that it continues
to improve I find a lot of the bugs to
be uh fun and amusing but I'm sure that
a lot of the bugs are having a negative
impact on player experience so hopefully
this game sorts it stuff out before it
is too late and um great communication
from the devs always happy to get new
