Summary

TLDRThe speaker, a clinical psychologist, shares insights from their work with clients, highlighting a common journey many people embark on. The journey begins with following a metaphorical map provided by society, which outlines a path to fulfillment. However, upon reaching adulthood and achieving societal milestones, individuals often find themselves unfulfilled. This leads to a search for meaning, which can manifest in various ways, including seeking youth, new careers, or relationships. The speaker emphasizes that the search for meaning is universal and not confined to midlife, as it can be triggered by life-altering experiences at any age. They offer seven key learnings to navigate this journey, focusing on the importance of inner exploration, confronting past wounds, embracing pain as a catalyst for growth, moving towards wholeness, enduring a 'dark night' of the soul, becoming one's own hero, and understanding that the journey itself is the destination. The speaker encourages the audience to answer the call to self-discovery and authenticity, as it is the path to true contentment and inner peace.

Q & A

  • What is the metaphorical map mentioned in the transcript?

-The metaphorical map is a guide provided by society, family, and other institutions that outlines the expected path in life, promising fulfillment and contentment if followed.

  • Why do people often feel unfulfilled even after achieving societal milestones?

-People may feel unfulfilled because the societal milestones, while part of the journey, do not constitute the whole of life's purpose. There is often a deeper search for meaning and authenticity that these achievements do not satisfy.

  • What does the speaker suggest is the cause of the void that people feel despite their achievements?

-The void is caused by a lack of connection with one's authentic self and a failure to address and heal the wounded parts of oneself. It is a sign that one needs to embark on an inner journey.

  • Why does the speaker say that the journey towards wholeness might involve going back to unresolved issues from the past?

-Going back to unresolved issues is necessary to reclaim energy and to heal the split-off parts of oneself. This process is crucial for entering the second half of life with a renewed sense of purpose and authenticity.

  • What is the 'prima materia' in the context of the speaker's discussion?

-The 'prima materia' refers to the initial substance or the pain experienced in one's life that is necessary to start the transformative process, akin to the great work in alchemy.

  • How does the speaker describe the process of moving towards wholeness in adulthood?

-The process involves integrating unexpressed aspects of oneself, allowing for the full expression of one's potential. This may include changes in life direction, such as independent people settling down or codependent people breaking away from defining relationships.

  • What does the 'dark night' mentioned in the transcript signify?

-The 'dark night' is a period of intense introspection and transformation where one feels disconnected from previously enjoyed activities and relationships. It represents a gestation period necessary for the rebirth of one's authentic self.

  • Why is it important to be one's own hero during this transformative journey?

-Being one's own hero signifies taking personal responsibility for the journey of self-discovery and healing. While guides and companions can be helpful, there are aspects of the journey that each individual must face alone.

  • What is the significance of the 'holy trail' mentioned at the end of the transcript?

-The 'holy trail' symbolizes the realization that the journey itself is the destination. It emphasizes that the process of self-discovery and transformation is more important than any external treasure or achievement.

  • How does the speaker suggest one should respond to the 'call' of a deeper life purpose?

-The speaker encourages individuals to answer the call by embarking on a journey of self-exploration and healing. This involves facing one's inner wounds, reclaiming energy from unresolved issues, and living a life aligned with one's personal values.

  • What is the role of an inner guide in the journey towards authenticity?

-The inner guide is a source of wisdom and intuition within each individual that can help navigate the journey of self-discovery. Cultivating a relationship with this inner guide is crucial for finding one's way through the transformative process.

🗺️ The Map of Life's Journey

The speaker, a clinical psychologist, discusses the common pattern they've observed in people's life journeys. They note that individuals often start feeling stuck or adrift when they've achieved societal milestones but still lack a deep sense of fulfillment. The speaker aims to share seven key learnings that can help transform these feelings of being lost into a sense of connection, purpose, and groundedness. The metaphorical map given by family and society outlines a path with promises of fulfillment, but upon reaching adulthood's apex, many find the promised treasure of contentment and peace is missing.

05:02

🔍 Searching for the Missing Treasure

The speaker elaborates on the quest for meaning that arises when external achievements no longer provide a sense of fulfillment. Individuals may try to recapture youth, seek new experiences, or change their lifestyles in an attempt to fill the void. The speaker acknowledges that this search is not limited to midlife but can happen at any age, especially when faced with life-altering experiences. They introduce the concept that the second half of life is about an inner journey towards one's authentic self, emphasizing that the path forward involves delving into one's psyche and addressing unresolved issues from the past.

10:03

🌑 The Dark Night of the Soul

The third paragraph delves into the process of transformation, where individuals confront their inner pain and unfinished business from childhood. This pain is described as the 'prima materia' or the essential starting material needed for the 'magnum opus' or great work of self-discovery. The speaker explains that the second half of life involves moving towards wholeness, where unexpressed aspects of oneself emerge. This process can involve a 'dark night of the soul,' a period of intense introspection and transformation, similar to the metamorphosis of a caterpillar or the growth of a seed.

15:05

🏆 Becoming Your Own Hero

The final paragraph focuses on the heroic journey of self-discovery and the necessity of being one's own hero. The speaker advises that while guides and companions can be helpful, there are aspects of this journey that each individual must face alone. They emphasize the importance of connecting with one's inner guide and the lifelong nature of this quest. The speaker concludes by stressing that true peace and contentment come from living authentically and bringing one's unique gift to the world. They encourage the audience to answer the call to this journey, regardless of their age, and to embrace the transformative process as the destination itself.

Keywords

💡Life Journey

The concept of life journey refers to the personal path one takes through life, including experiences, challenges, and growth. In the video, it is depicted as a metaphorical map given by society and family that outlines the expected path to fulfillment. The speaker discusses how individuals often find themselves feeling unfulfilled despite following this prescribed journey, leading to a search for deeper meaning.

💡Fulfillment

Fulfillment is a state of being satisfied and content with one's life. The video script describes the pursuit of fulfillment as a primary goal, with the metaphorical 'treasure' at the end of the life journey representing this sense of contentment. However, the speaker notes that many people do not find the expected fulfillment even after achieving societal milestones, which triggers a deeper search for meaning.

💡Stuck

Feeling stuck is a state of being trapped or unable to move forward, often due to a lack of progress or change. In the context of the video, individuals may feel stuck when they reach a point in their life where they have achieved the expected goals but still lack a sense of fulfillment, prompting them to seek new paths or revisit past experiences in search of meaning.

💡Authentic Self

The authentic self refers to the true essence of a person, unfiltered by societal expectations or external pressures. The speaker emphasizes the importance of embarking on an inner journey to discover and connect with one's authentic self, which is a key part of finding fulfillment and purpose in the second half of life.

💡Wholeness

Wholeness is the state of being complete or undivided. The video discusses the pursuit of wholeness as a central task in the second half of life, where individuals strive to integrate all aspects of themselves, including the unexpressed or suppressed parts, to become fully realized and authentic versions of themselves.

💡Dark Night of the Soul

The 'dark night of the soul' is a term used to describe a period of intense emotional and spiritual crisis, often associated with feelings of despair, loss, and a sense of being lost. In the video, this concept is used to illustrate the deep internal struggle one may go through when confronting their inner self and the need to transform and heal in order to find their true path.

💡Magnum Opus

The term 'magnum opus', derived from alchemy, refers to the greatest work one can create or achieve in their life. In the video, it is associated with the process of turning one's life experiences, including pain and challenges, into a transformative journey towards becoming one's authentic self.

💡Prima Materia

Prima materia, in alchemical tradition, is the essential substance or base material from which all things are derived. In the context of the video, the speaker uses this term to describe the pain and experiences that serve as the starting point for personal transformation and the creation of one's 'great work' or magnum opus.

💡Hero's Journey

The hero's journey is a narrative framework that describes the stages a character goes through in their quest for self-discovery and growth. The video script applies this concept to the personal development process, where individuals must take on the role of their own hero, facing internal and external challenges to achieve authenticity and fulfillment.

💡Inner Guide

An inner guide refers to the intuitive or inner wisdom that individuals can tap into for guidance and insight. The speaker suggests that everyone has an inner guide that can help navigate the journey towards self-discovery and authenticity, and encourages the audience to cultivate a relationship with this inner wisdom.

💡Lifelong Journey

A lifelong journey implies a continuous process of personal growth and development that lasts a person's entire life. The video emphasizes that the pursuit of self-understanding and fulfillment is not a one-time event but an ongoing process that involves repeated cycles of healing, learning, and transformation.

Highlights

The journey of life is guided by a metaphorical map given by family and society

People feel stuck or lost when they reach the 'apex of adulthood' but don't find fulfillment

Seven key learnings can help transition from feeling lost to feeling connected, purposeful and grounded

The first half of life is about accomplishing tasks and building a sense of self

The second half of life is about taking an inner journey towards your authentic self

Feeling like you're taking one step forward and three steps back means you need to go back and tend to unfinished business

The pain you've experienced is the necessary starting material for your 'great work' as an adult

The second half of life is a journey towards wholeness, where unexpressed parts of you come to the surface

You will go through a 'dark night' where life loses its taste and you are pulled to the depths of yourself

There is a shift from motivation (pushing yourself) to inspiration (being pulled towards your calling)

You need to be your own hero on this journey, with the help of an inner guide

The journey is a tough terrain but it is the only path to inner peace and fulfillment

Each person has a unique gift they must bring into the world as their 'debt' to life

The journey is a lifelong spiral where you keep coming to the same wound at different layers

With every pain you heal, you assume more spiritual authenticity, authority and live with courage and commitment

The journey itself is the destination - there is no 'treasure' at the end, you are the treasure

Answering the call to this journey is essential, whether it comes as a whisper or a loud call

play00:13

i have worked as a guide and a witness

play00:17

as i have companioned people on their

play00:19

life journey

play00:21

as in my work as a clinical psychologist

play00:25

having worked with hundreds of clients i

play00:28

have noticed a pattern about the journey

play00:30

and i want to share that with you today

play00:34

i've also noticed when and why people

play00:37

start to feel a bit stuck or they start

play00:40

to feel like they're drifting through

play00:42

life and then lastly i want to share

play00:45

with you seven

play00:47

key learnings

play00:49

which will help you to go from feeling

play00:51

lost

play00:52

lonely

play00:53

and disillusioned

play00:55

to feeling

play00:57

connected purposeful

play00:59

and grounded

play01:02

so before i go into this talk i really

play01:05

want you guys to just

play01:07

open yourself up

play01:09

and see if what i am talking about or

play01:12

what i'm sharing with you guys today

play01:15

resonates with you guys and if you can

play01:17

see yourself in any part of this journey

play01:20

all right

play01:21

let's begin

play01:23

okay so the journey begins something

play01:26

like this

play01:28

when we're born we're given

play01:30

a metaphorical map

play01:33

we are given this map by people like

play01:36

family society

play01:38

and this map charts out the path we have

play01:41

to follow

play01:43

and if we follow this path it is

play01:45

promised

play01:46

we will get to a place marked with an x

play01:49

and there will be the treasure

play01:52

treasure being a sense of fulfillment a

play01:55

sense of contentment

play01:57

peace

play01:59

so

play02:00

because we trust these family members

play02:02

and we trust these institutions we take

play02:05

this map

play02:06

and we start on our journey without

play02:08

question

play02:09

and debate

play02:11

and every seven years the journey shifts

play02:14

a little bit

play02:16

7

play02:17

14

play02:19

21

play02:21

28

play02:22

33

play02:24

we do everything that is expected of us

play02:28

we go to school

play02:30

we go to college we graduate get a

play02:33

degree

play02:34

get a job become financially independent

play02:39

we find a partner we settle down have a

play02:41

kid or two or four

play02:45

and we

play02:47

we do everything basically we we travel

play02:51

we buy nice things

play02:53

and then one day we're like okay i got

play02:55

this

play02:56

i think i've gotten here i've arrived

play02:59

i'm at the apex of adulthood and i think

play03:02

this is it this is the place marked with

play03:04

an x

play03:07

but there's no treasure

play03:11

we look around

play03:12

we look for some sense of contentment

play03:14

some sense of fulfillment and sure there

play03:17

were moments where we felt really happy

play03:19

and there were moments where we felt

play03:20

really proud but that deep sense of

play03:23

fulfillment

play03:25

it's not there it's not there

play03:28

so

play03:29

we go off into google websites

play03:32

we go to spiritual retreats definitely

play03:35

go to the bookstore and start

play03:37

downloading all kinds of content and

play03:39

saying okay give me some clue give me

play03:42

something that tells me that

play03:45

where i'm supposed to go from here i've

play03:47

gotten here i've done everything where

play03:49

am i supposed to go from here

play03:51

we find nothing and right around this

play03:53

time we start to hear things like

play03:55

it's all downhill from here

play03:58

and we think well that can't be it

play04:00

it can't be that i'm just supposed to

play04:02

hit the cruise control button and just

play04:03

like ride out the rest of my days that

play04:06

not feel right

play04:08

it's also right around this time that we

play04:11

start to hear things you know we've

play04:13

heard these things before but like it

play04:14

really starts to stand out right around

play04:16

that time where 50 is the new 30

play04:20

and 40 is the new 20. so we think oh

play04:23

that's it

play04:24

maybe i missed something back there

play04:27

maybe i just need to go back there and

play04:29

start and find something maybe i'll find

play04:31

the treasure back there

play04:33

so

play04:34

we go back and this is when you start to

play04:36

see adults

play04:38

living out the glory days of adolescence

play04:41

you know where they're

play04:43

clinging tightly onto their youth their

play04:46

self-image there's some sense of

play04:48

relevance

play04:50

there's also the time you start to see

play04:52

people searching for meaning

play04:54

and purpose or fulfillment

play04:57

in the offices of plastic surgeons

play05:00

maybe in new careers

play05:02

far away land travels

play05:04

or in younger romantic partners

play05:08

but with every attempt

play05:11

with every attempt the void gets bigger

play05:16

and this is probably right around the

play05:18

time where depression

play05:20

and anxiety starts to show up on the

play05:23

path and soon after you will see

play05:26

addictions show up

play05:28

because we need something to numb

play05:32

or distract ourselves from this growing

play05:35

angst inside of us

play05:38

so yeah sound familiar yup sounds like a

play05:41

midlife crisis yes

play05:44

well

play05:45

i'm sure the next question is going to

play05:47

be

play05:47

does it only happen at midlife because

play05:49

i'm sure that there are some 25 or 29

play05:52

year olds here thinking hey that sounds

play05:54

like me

play05:55

well

play05:56

the answer is yes and no

play05:59

yes

play06:00

for a lot of us it does actually take us

play06:03

35 to 40 years to go through all of the

play06:07

checklists and all of the outwardly

play06:09

achievements to realize that wait

play06:11

that's part of the journey the the

play06:14

achievements are part of it but it's not

play06:16

the whole thing

play06:18

and no because

play06:21

i have noticed in my work that people

play06:24

are arriving to this place a whole lot

play06:27

earlier

play06:28

and that's probably because the maps of

play06:30

yesterday are just not as relevant today

play06:33

right the institutions don't hold the

play06:35

same amount of weight

play06:37

marriage college parenthood

play06:40

people don't want some of these things

play06:42

anymore it's not that cookie-cutter way

play06:44

of doing things anymore

play06:47

but it's also not just age that sort of

play06:50

results in a person having this

play06:53

search for meaning

play06:55

it also could be

play06:56

a um a life shattering experience that

play07:00

they have early in life earlier in life

play07:04

for example

play07:06

oh wait but life chattering i mean

play07:08

reality shattering experience so for

play07:11

example

play07:13

it could be a diagnosis of an illness

play07:16

that you or someone that you love gets

play07:20

it could also be a death of a loved one

play07:23

someone very close to you

play07:25

or a great betrayal that you experience

play07:29

that rocks your world and makes you

play07:31

question everything you believe

play07:34

to be good and true

play07:37

in any case

play07:38

and in every case

play07:41

the search for meaning is universal

play07:45

the search for something other than our

play07:48

outwardly experiences

play07:50

is universal so it doesn't matter your

play07:53

age

play07:54

it doesn't matter what you've

play07:55

accomplished it actually doesn't matter

play07:58

if you're man or woman

play08:00

if you invested your whole life

play08:03

into

play08:05

adjusting and adapting and achieving and

play08:08

accomplishing

play08:10

you will arrive at a place in your point

play08:12

you will arrive at a place in your life

play08:16

where you will

play08:18

long for something more

play08:22

so what do you do when you get to this

play08:24

place now some of you might already be

play08:26

here so

play08:27

i will tell you what to do

play08:29

but some of you might already be here

play08:31

and i

play08:32

assure you some of you will get here at

play08:35

some point so take note

play08:37

so i will share with you seven key

play08:39

learnings

play08:40

that will help you navigate the path

play08:42

forward

play08:44

okay

play08:45

so the first one

play08:46

is

play08:47

when

play08:49

everything in the outside world

play08:52

loses

play08:53

its meaning when you no longer can feel

play08:56

fulfilled from anything in the outside

play08:58

world that is when you are being

play09:00

summoned that is when you are being

play09:02

initiated into the inner world

play09:06

the first half of life is really about

play09:09

accomplishing tasks it really is about

play09:12

accomplishing a sense of self

play09:14

but the second half of adulthood is

play09:17

really about taking the inner journey

play09:20

towards your authentic self

play09:22

and no it doesn't mean that you no

play09:24

longer achieve and you no longer

play09:25

accomplish don't worry you still get to

play09:27

do those things

play09:28

but how you do those things

play09:31

and why you do those things

play09:33

changes

play09:35

the second thing is

play09:38

if you feel like you're taking one step

play09:40

forward

play09:41

and three steps back

play09:43

that's probably because you need to go

play09:46

back

play09:46

and while it isn't downhill from here it

play09:50

sure is down under

play09:52

you will need to go to the depths of you

play09:56

you will need to go to the wounded and

play09:58

split off parts of you

play10:01

where

play10:02

that lay dormant since you were a

play10:04

childhood

play10:05

you will

play10:07

need

play10:08

to

play10:08

tend to all of that unfinished business

play10:12

to reclaim energy to do the second half

play10:15

of life

play10:17

now if you don't

play10:18

do that if you don't go back and you

play10:20

finish the unfinished business

play10:23

you will come to a point in your life

play10:25

where you will start to feel weighed

play10:27

down you'll feel stuck you feel burnt

play10:31

out you feel diseased

play10:34

and so

play10:36

um you need that you need to reclaim

play10:39

that energy for the second half

play10:42

now you know all those times where you

play10:45

said oh what doesn't kill me makes me

play10:47

stronger or those times when you said oh

play10:51

it's all for the best and you sort of

play10:53

spiritually bypassed experiencing those

play10:56

difficult feelings let me just

play10:58

move on

play10:59

that's probably where you need to start

play11:02

okay

play11:02

that's where you are going to reclaim

play11:05

recollect

play11:07

and remember

play11:08

who you are

play11:10

the third thing

play11:12

you know that pain

play11:14

all that pain you experienced it wasn't

play11:17

for nothing

play11:18

the pain is the prima materia

play11:22

in the tradition of alchemy

play11:24

they call the necessary starting

play11:27

material the prima materia

play11:30

and you need the prima materia to do the

play11:33

magnum opus the great work

play11:37

the great work being

play11:40

the

play11:41

the great work being

play11:43

turning lead into gold

play11:47

and so now as an adult you finally have

play11:49

the opportunity and you have the

play11:51

capacity to do your magnum opus

play11:55

your great work

play11:57

and that is to reclaim your authentic

play11:59

self

play12:01

number four

play12:03

you will meet the other side of you

play12:06

now you'll also start to say things

play12:08

around this time that goes something

play12:10

like this i don't know what's gotten

play12:12

into me i just i'm acting not like

play12:15

myself or i've never been like this i

play12:18

don't know i'm not sure what this is

play12:19

about well that's precisely what's

play12:21

supposed to happen at around this time

play12:24

because see the second half of life the

play12:26

task of the second half of life

play12:28

is to move towards wholeness okay so all

play12:32

that unexpressed stuff inside of you is

play12:35

gonna come to the surface and i'm not

play12:37

saying this is one side better than the

play12:39

other this is moving towards wholeness

play12:41

so you can be fully and holy yourself

play12:44

your full potential

play12:47

you'll also see things like you know

play12:50

independent people having this urge

play12:53

to settle down and get married and have

play12:55

children you'll see like really

play12:57

codependent people

play12:59

actually break off from these really

play13:02

defining relationships

play13:04

this is all part of the great plan

play13:07

all of this is supposed to happen

play13:10

this is a journey towards wholeness

play13:13

number five

play13:15

now

play13:16

all the previous points sort of

play13:18

culminate into the fifth point which is

play13:21

that you will go through a dark night

play13:24

and it will be a dark dark night i've

play13:26

had some clients tell me that it feels

play13:28

like death

play13:29

it certainly will feel like a great

play13:31

depression

play13:33

this is when all the life force is

play13:35

pulled from anything that you enjoy all

play13:38

the things you used to enjoy all the

play13:40

people you used to like to hang out with

play13:42

food doesn't taste the same nothing

play13:44

feels the same i feel bored

play13:46

i feel it's everything loses its taste

play13:50

this is when the psyche is pulling you

play13:52

under this is where you are to go to the

play13:55

depths of you

play13:57

and i've heard also clients say things

play14:00

like well i just don't feel motivated

play14:01

anymore by anything

play14:04

and there will be a period of gestation

play14:07

where you are going from motivation to

play14:10

inspiration

play14:11

so let me explain what that means

play14:13

motivation is where you have to push

play14:16

yourself to move towards something

play14:19

where inspiration is where you are

play14:21

pulled

play14:22

towards the calling so there is a period

play14:25

where you will have to wait where one

play14:29

part of you is laid to rest and another

play14:32

part of you is awakening

play14:34

and in the alchemy in the tradition of

play14:37

alchemy they say as above

play14:40

so below and so if we look at nature if

play14:42

we look at the caterpillar

play14:44

it must endure some darkness in the

play14:48

chrysalis as it transforms into a

play14:50

butterfly

play14:52

and the seed must be buried in the

play14:54

depths of the earth before it rises up

play14:58

onto the earth as the great oak tree

play15:02

just like that you will too

play15:04

need to endure a sense

play15:07

of loss

play15:08

pain

play15:10

sadness grief

play15:13

where parts of you are being laid to

play15:15

rest and the other parts of you are

play15:17

rising and awakening into your authentic

play15:21

self

play15:22

transforming into your authentic self

play15:25

number six

play15:27

you will

play15:29

need to be your own hero

play15:32

now there are some of you that are like

play15:35

i'm doing this i'm gonna keep doing the

play15:37

same thing i've been doing i'm gonna

play15:39

ride out the rest of the days

play15:41

no thank you

play15:42

you know what and those people will have

play15:44

their journey and it will look just like

play15:46

the way it did last year and the year

play15:47

before that however

play15:50

if you choose to answer this call

play15:52

and you take this heroic quest let me

play15:55

tell you honestly it is not for the

play15:58

faint at heart

play16:00

you are gonna have to dig deep and

play16:01

you're gonna have to pull out the hero

play16:03

and sure there will be companions and i

play16:06

absolutely suggest you have a guide i

play16:09

absolutely suggest you have a guide but

play16:11

there will be some things that you will

play16:13

need to do

play16:14

on your own all alone

play16:18

just part of the plan

play16:20

and the good news is that we all have an

play16:23

inner guide we have an inner guide that

play16:26

we have had our whole life and at this

play16:29

point you now have even more access to

play16:31

it and so if you don't have a

play16:33

relationship with that inner guide i

play16:35

would really suggest you start

play16:37

cultivating that now

play16:40

and then lastly

play16:42

know that this is a tough terrain

play16:45

yes it is a tough terrain but it is the

play16:47

only path to inner peace

play16:50

guys

play16:52

we

play16:54

our life means something

play16:56

and each person's

play16:58

life means something different

play17:02

and each person has a different gift

play17:04

that they must bring into this world

play17:07

and that is our debt

play17:10

to life

play17:11

you will never

play17:13

find peace and contentment

play17:15

until you repay this debt and until you

play17:19

bring your personal gift

play17:22

into this world

play17:24

so

play17:25

the journey from here on

play17:26

it will actually be a lifelong journey

play17:29

and it will be a spiral it will be

play17:31

circular and you will keep coming to the

play17:34

same wound just a different layer with a

play17:36

different perspective a different sense

play17:37

of wisdom and you will keep doing the

play17:39

work and that's it that's the lifelong

play17:42

journey

play17:43

and the more you do the work with every

play17:44

pain you transform with every pain that

play17:46

you heal

play17:49

you start to assume your spiritual

play17:52

authenticity and your spiritual

play17:54

authority

play17:55

with every pain that you transform

play17:58

you will start to live your personal

play18:00

values with courage and commitment

play18:04

you will live consciously and less

play18:06

reactively

play18:07

you

play18:08

will stand fully and freely in your

play18:11

power and not shackled to fear or

play18:15

need for approval

play18:17

and so

play18:18

one day you will come to a point

play18:20

where it will feel like homecoming

play18:24

it will actually feel like freedom

play18:27

and as you walk the path there will be a

play18:31

point where you get to where you will

play18:33

realize that there was no treasure there

play18:35

never was there is no treasure you are

play18:38

the treasure there is no holy grail only

play18:41

a holy trail

play18:42

and you will realize that the journey

play18:45

was the destination

play18:48

so i want to leave you with these few

play18:50

parting words

play18:51

for the younger ones i want to say that

play18:54

you know at some point or another you

play18:57

guys will get the call it's a little bit

play18:58

ways away perhaps it's a little bit of a

play19:00

whisper this isn't it this isn't it for

play19:03

the older ones it's getting louder this

play19:05

isn't it this isn't it right there's

play19:07

something more

play19:09

and i do hope whenever whenever you get

play19:12

that call

play19:13

i do hope that you answer it

play19:16

thank you guys
