Transcripts
plug it in charging started see it
charging started there we go AR
augmented reality navigation looks like
traveled 300 km 410 km that I'll be able
to clock now the eye pedal is engaged
when reversing I am all serious to find
out what this EV3 has got to offer let's
go check it
out come check this out isn't this
gorgeous show you the brake lights as
well oh my God 624 km to go on the
odometer and maximum range of 721 but
that's just mostly driving on the cities
only and let me turn off the AC
655
752 km to go well that is certainly
going to drop because we will be driving
long distance pretty much a lot on the
freeway shooting at 74.2 KW well let's
get started too
much been some time since I put the car
on a freeway average battery consumption
is just dropping consistently and I
think that 5.9 figure will last for some
time driving distance left constantly
changes depending on how I drive and the
route that I am using and that is also
one of the reasons why I am also using
the onboard navigation right now because
the car will utilize the on board
navigation as well as the battery
preconditioning system if you set your
route to be the charging station within
the rest area on your way look at that
it actually went up to 6. oh 6.1 now so
slight drop of speed due to the traffic
in front of me and going to use the
automatic Lane change as you can see all
I have to do is just press down the turn
signal and keep my hand on the steering
wheel two or more fingers and the car
does that on its own and just like that
as soon as the car picked up the speed
it dropped down to 6 km per Kow hour I
think it's going to drop down to 5.9
once again I will show you and give you
more updates as I drive along stay tuned
for that next stop I will stop over at a
rest the tire pressure has gone up to 39
all around and let's do that automatic
Lane change one more time and as you can
see it is a huge it takes away a lot of
burden on your freeway drives you might
not be used to it just yet but trust me
once you get used to it there is no
going back I even set my tire pressure
to suggested PSI which can be found on
the driver door when you open it up I am
all serious to find out what this EV3
has got to offer let's go check it out
5.8 after charging and 5.0 since the
last reset so that's actually the whole
throughout the entire travel that I did
with the EV3 and I assure you that
number is only going to go up after the
test drive is complete that AR augmented
reality navigation working just
beautifully that certainly is one of the
texts that you want to brag about when
you have a friend sitting and haven't
seen the tech before I have about an
hour left along with 100 km to go so now
is about time where I show you the trip
you see right now in the middle the
current trip that is 100% driving on the
freeway and freeway only and I actually
have went down to about 5.9 km per Kow
hour and all the way up to 7.6 is so
that kind of averaging out to be 6.0 or
6.1 km per Kow hour as you can see my
tire pressures are kept at 38 this will
all be covered and I will go over this
but the created along with the hda2
the car is just really really smart
clear Vivid HUD I will check and see if
I can actually project Apple carplay
information on my way up tomorrow and
the ambient lighting you can set two
different colors top and bottom when you
run the voice recognition system the
ambient light is also Dynamic ambient
light
schedule showing interacting that the
car is listening to me and also the same
case when you are going over speed I
think I can show it to you right now
just a little more
push there we go so you see that solid
red telling me to slow
[Music]
down day two fully charged 100% s so
good to go we are going to find out
driving range both in cities and freeway
we will have family of four and a dogo
sitting inside the EV3 so this will be
the ultimate real world city driving
range test day two let's go s so 100% as
you can see 550 km to go with 725 km of
Maximum driving distance but I found out
yesterday that maximum distance you have
to milk that every last k in order to
get that finally arrived at one of the
destinations check this out it just
Blends in with a city and the background
beautifully I actually really love this
color too well do keep an eye out for
this gray color too I will put the
precise name on the screen right now it
just looks beautiful don't you think got
a little messy because of that
longdistance drive the digital starf
signature lighting found in the rear and
also the tip of the car as well just
like so and this stands out a lot
including the footage as well because I
actually came across a geia Picanto
which is the smallest size geia that you
can find in the market and that one had
all this Starmap signature lighting rear
tail light all turned on it's absolutely
gorgeous it looks amazing FYI if you
find this bolt pattern covers look
towards the top that's where the valve
is and it's not by a coincidence it's
actually done on every single car every
single wheel you can find so where they
are might differ depending on the wheel
patterns and design but they always are
at the same position so some might be
right next to the Gia emblem all the
rest of the four other wheels will have
precisely where you found it there are
cats a
duck a pat dock we're going to head back
to so the trip navigation is telling me
right here 4 hours and 37 minutes to go
arriving at 510 in the morning it's
pretty much all the Way Southeast to
North West the average based on how I've
been driving the car given the fact that
I've been driving quite a lot on City
roads this morning I think that number
might not be it but once again I will
find out the hard way I mean I will be
stopping at AR rest to get the car
charged up because I have not yet tested
out the rapid charging speed on the EV3
just yet and as I've been doing
throughout the entire travel I always
have been running the AC 22ยฐ C set
usually I would recommend you set it to
23.5ยฐ and just run it at Auto these are
the electric vehicle status as you can
see very direct and self-explanatory
intuitive and nearby stations the
battery use all throughout utility mode
and also to show you given with the
battery you have left this is where you
can travel within South Korea so it's
covering pretty much everywhere well
once again it's not fully charged it is
at 79% right there well we'll find out
we'll find out so you can see the usage
of the EV battery right over there 232
km I've driven right so just like so AC
charging settings you can always check
this too and the charging limit you can
set it with the DC charger and so forth
and the v2l battery conditioning you can
always activate it if needed it's
unavailable cuz it's already all warmed
up you can see the status it's normal it
will also work together with the onboard
navigation so if you set the rest area
or charging station in between your
routes the car will also ready the
battery so it will yield the maximum
performance right there when you
actually stop at the charging station
you can change all of this settings you
can read it go through it feel free to
pause the video now the ey pedal is
engaged when reversing so this is to
maximize the battery efficiency as you
can see more about this I will cover
along my my way up 4 hours and 37
minutes to go stopped at a rest area I
will show you what I've clocked thus far
bit ironic cuz there is the rapid
charging station behind me but I skipped
it and I will be heading over to the
next rest where I will be charging the
car Kia R EV casually sitting right over
there that one runs on lfp batteries and
I do have in depth review on the car in
my my channel so feel free to check it
out the smallest Gia EV you can get in
the market although it's only limited to
Korea domestic Market I have 112 km left
with s so at 27% I nearly traveled 300
km as you can see so that is about 410
km that I'll be able to clock so I guess
my way up to soul is pretty much uphill
hence I'm not getting that that much of
the battery efficiency that I used to
get on my way down which averaged out to
be 6 km but as you can see it is 5.1 km
per Kow hour however that is well within
the suggested range and once again it is
mostly covering the freeway if you do a
good mix of City drives and so forth
you're going to see much more than that
for sure the next stop right there
chungju service area I'm going to head
over there and well let me show you the
automatic Lane change as well during the
nighttime you see to it all hand free
I'll be heading over to chungju service
area and show you what the charging
speed is what the AR augmented reality
navigation looks like during the
nighttime and also automatic high beam
so it it's not that delicate automatic
high beam which is called ifs
intelligent front lighting system of
Hyundai Motor Group cars we know gav
brand is more than capable of doing so
because we've seen it on ev9 already and
many other hyunda Motor Group cars once
again do not forget the fact that this
is the EV3 lowest numbered EV from Gia
family I honestly cannot complain about
that things like this being fully
automatic that is what really sets apart
how comfortable your longdistance drives
and travel can be all right so coming to
the final rest service area to get
charged up
arrived at the lost service area the
rest the remaining s so is 8% with 30 km
left to go add these up together it's
slightly over 400 km and that is after
charging after charging it to 100% so
I've accumulated slightly over 400 km
100% charged NCM battery that this EV3
long range has a few things though as
you can see from the timer that is
running I actually have been running the
car because it was super hot today just
staying inside the car with the AC on
and once again that is putting together
the passengers of four adults and also
on my way up so there was no traffic
whatsoever so I've been going on a high
speed without using much of a region
break so those are the factors that I
want you to calculate and consider day
one when I was heading down to Busan for
the first time I actually managed to
clock 6 kilm per kilowatt hour however
as you can see the current trip I did
not turn it off on purpose so let's head
outside plug it in and get that reading
of the real world fast charging speed
let's go and as you can see this comes
in real Handy just just like that so
let's get charged
up oh look at that this F actually
rotates and you can choose which ever
the side you want and of course I want
it on the right that's where my charging
port is so grab this guy plug it in
charging started say it charging started
there we go 60 KW per hour shooting all
the way up to 320 volts nice nice keep
it up keep it up EV3 made from the egmp
electric Global modular platform however
unlike the ionic 5 or ev6 the car that
we are seeing right next to my EV3 it
does not support 800 volts so that car
can actually charge from 10 to 80% in
just 18 minutes whereas the EV3 supports
up to 400 volts 330 I think that is
going to be the maximum charging speed
at
65.5 because it's only been 2 minutes
since I plugged it in see you in about
what 10 15 minutes 49 minutes until 80%
ionic 5 and ev6 can charge from 10 to
80% under 18 minutes and Nero EV pulling
away after charged I will soon be test
driving that car and also making
comparison with the EV3 where I will
also be test driving the car for a few
hundred kmet I will give you a
comparison to that of DV3 so you can see
ionic 5 shooting at 800 volt mine is at
345 volts and there is also this robot
coffee maker it's
dancing
3611 there we go hey thank
you pushed up to 74 371 volts seeing the
same number and the figure shooting at
74.2 KW hour let's go go I actually just
got back from Busan driving 5 hours
straight let's really do move on to the
questions now smart region breake now
also stops the car too I did mention
about this
