job was not there tomorrow through no

play00:24

fault of your own you had the income

play00:26

that you needed to take care of you and

play00:28

your family to continue to go on trips

play00:30

and things like that that's a whole

play00:31

different piece of mind that people

play00:32

don't even think about because reality

play00:33

is sometimes we just don't have control

play00:35

over what happens and it's not always

play00:37

about I want to quit my job it's hey my

play00:39

job might not be there tomorrow for some

play00:41

reason that's real and so you should

play00:43

always be in a pursuit of making sure

play00:46

that you are planning for your success

play00:48

and for your family's

play00:50

[Music]

play00:51

future hey everybody fliping Danny here

play00:54

we'd like to welcome you to our studio

play00:56

and welcome to another episode of the

play00:59

freedom

play01:00

show did you almost forget the name of

play01:02

our podcast I was being overly dramatic

play01:05

yeah you're good at that welcome to the

play01:08

show everybody and happy New Year Happy

play01:11

New Year we are super excited happy 2024

play01:16

um we actually went into the recording

play01:18

of This podcast knowing that it was

play01:19

going to release on um the 3rd of

play01:22

January and so we have um great things

play01:24

that we're talking to you about today um

play01:27

with things that we're working on right

play01:28

now for the new year um so it's funny I

play01:31

don't know if you feel the same way but

play01:32

I was actually thinking about this today

play01:34

and I was like it's really interesting

play01:36

to me that when a new year comes you are

play01:40

so much more motivated to make changes

play01:44

it's it's like it feels like it's a

play01:46

fresh start and when reality is is that

play01:50

today was a fresh start when we woke up

play01:51

this morning that's right tomorrow is a

play01:53

fresh start again when we wake up

play01:55

tomorrow tomorrow but yes but but for

play01:57

some reason the year changing just Spurs

play02:02

up all of this emotion all these ideas

play02:04

all of this creativity that goes look

play02:07

what we can do next year and I think for

play02:10

me it's tied to the fact that we measure

play02:13

things in years right what did I do last

play02:16

year how much did I accomplish did I do

play02:18

the things that I set out to do at the

play02:20

very beginning um what didn't go as

play02:23

planned where did we shift and it gives

play02:26

us an opportunity to think big right cuz

play02:30

even though this morning was fresh um

play02:32

and it was a brand new day I'm not

play02:34

thinking big about today right I'm

play02:36

thinking very dialed in of what do I

play02:38

need to do today in order to accomplish

play02:40

the things that I set out to do maybe

play02:43

for the week um whereas at the beginning

play02:45

of a year you're thinking of the big

play02:47

picture and suddenly I'm going to do

play02:49

this yeah it gets so exciting so um let

play02:53

me just start off we don't really have a

play02:56

agenda of what we want to talk about we

play02:57

just have things in our head that we

play02:58

want to talk about um let me start off

play03:00

by asking you as you go into 2024 what

play03:04

are the things that you're really kind

play03:06

of focused on um uh wanting to

play03:09

accomplish in this new year uh well uh

play03:12

health is is one of well is the number

play03:15

one um you know both you and I a couple

play03:18

years ago we kind of took a step back

play03:20

from business and um and we didn't stop

play03:24

doing business we just didn't do as much

play03:27

as we were normally doing and so and we

play03:29

were focused on health and and going to

play03:31

the doctor and getting checked out and

play03:33

you know doing the whole nine yards and

play03:36

uh and then we sort of well jumped back

play03:39

in with both feet Yes um and uh we've

play03:42

been doing that now for a little bit

play03:43

over a year uh and so my main focus is

play03:46

to uh dial it back as much as I can I

play03:50

know that you know it just well there's

play03:53

times we can't yeah you know and I get

play03:54

that but I'm trying to dial it back just

play03:56

a little bit uh to focus more on health

play03:59

and and uh uh but it's the you know I

play04:02

sent you that article that I read about

play04:05

uh the the two days that uh that are are

play04:09

not important to focus on but one day is

play04:11

important to focus on and I'm focusing

play04:13

on that one day and that's today and I'm

play04:15

not trying to say oh I'm going to lose

play04:18

you know somebody said it the other day

play04:19

I'm gonna lose 60 pounds and it's so

play04:21

depressing because you can't lose 60

play04:23

pounds like that you know and so he's

play04:25

like oh well I screw it I'm just going

play04:26

to give up yeah you know uh but I'm not

play04:29

thinking that way I'm thinking I'm just

play04:30

going to lose weight today yes I'm not

play04:33

or I'm going to I'm going to do this

play04:35

today and living one day at a time and

play04:37

you know just uh just trying to focus

play04:40

more on health uh than I have not saying

play04:43

not saying more on health than

play04:44

everything else which is more in health

play04:46

more than I normally have been yeah so

play04:49

um tell everybody a little bit more

play04:50

about um that article you forwarded it

play04:52

to me as well and I really loved the way

play04:54

it dialed it in um that there's two

play04:57

things um of the three things you can

play04:59

focus on there's two of them that you

play05:01

don't want to focus on um so talk more

play05:03

about um those three things and why you

play05:07

don't focus on two of them well I should

play05:09

have re reread the article before doing

play05:11

this recording uh because then it would

play05:12

have been a little bit more fresh on

play05:14

mind but uh the the uh um tomorrow you

play05:17

don't want to think about tomorrow

play05:19

because you're just worried about

play05:19

something that hasn't happened you have

play05:21

no control over that um and too many

play05:23

people get wrapped up in wrapped around

play05:26

the axle about oh what's what if this

play05:29

happens

play05:30

what if what if this happens and it's

play05:31

out of our control and it's tomorrow

play05:33

it's not tomorrow tomorrow's tomorrow

play05:36

it'll come tomorrow um and so that's one

play05:39

day that people get wrapped around uh or

play05:41

wrapped up in and the other one is

play05:43

yesterday you know oh this happened

play05:46

yesterday and oh I can't believe that

play05:48

happened and uh all these bad things

play05:51

happened you know and on or whatever and

play05:54

it's getting focused and getting wrapped

play05:56

up in stuff that has already happened

play05:59

and you can't control that because it's

play06:00

already happened you can't fix it you

play06:02

can't redo it um and so the main point

play06:05

of the article is to focus on today and

play06:07

today is what's in front of you right

play06:09

now of what you can control um at least

play06:12

as much as you can control it um and so

play06:15

it's trying to get out of your mind

play06:17

yesterday and tomorrow and just put

play06:20

everything in your mind about today

play06:22

today is the only thing you can do and

play06:24

if you do today tomorrow's going to be

play06:25

different than what you think in your

play06:27

head because you did it today yes or you

play06:29

accomplished what you wanted to do today

play06:31

now tomorrow is even better or or

play06:32

tomorrow is even more different than

play06:34

what you thought it was um so it's it's

play06:37

being more focused on today which I read

play06:39

that article I'm like huh that's pretty

play06:41

interesting and then more and more I

play06:42

think about it I'm just like oh that's

play06:44

really

play06:45

interesting wow I think they're on to

play06:47

something there and what I love about it

play06:49

is the simplicity so I'm going to take

play06:51

it a little bit further so um when you

play06:53

say yesterday I think of my past I think

play06:57

of all the things all the mistakes

play07:00

all the things that have happened in our

play07:01

lives personal and professional that we

play07:04

could have done different in order to be

play07:06

in a better place today y but we can't

play07:08

change what we did two years ago and

play07:11

some of them many of them most of them

play07:14

are learning lessons uh that you just go

play07:16

through I mean it's part of life um you

play07:19

know part of life is embracing that

play07:21

things are going to suck a lot and

play07:23

you're going to continually be learning

play07:25

very very hard things um but you get

play07:28

better every single day um uh one of my

play07:31

coaches loves to say every day and every

play07:34

way you keep on getting better and

play07:35

better and I know that was a Darren

play07:36

Hardy um expression as well um and it's

play07:39

so very true but it's so easy to get

play07:41

wrapped into to the past and wishing

play07:43

things were different today because of

play07:45

different decisions you could have made

play07:47

and and you can't do that so I take that

play07:49

yesterday comment to not only don't

play07:51

think about yesterday and what happened

play07:53

but don't think about anything that's

play07:54

happened before um they're all lessons

play07:56

and they're all part of life that you

play07:58

can be um um upset with or happy with

play08:01

and we've always said that we're very

play08:03

happy with we wouldn't be where we are

play08:04

today without all of the things that

play08:06

happened to us throughout our lives um

play08:09

and then tomorrow I am a Visionary So

play08:12

when you say tomorrow I'm not actually

play08:14

literally thinking of tomorrow the next

play08:16

day I'm literally thinking of 10 years

play08:17

down the road um and although that's

play08:21

good because it allows me to see the

play08:24

vision of of where we want to go

play08:27

personally and professionally um it

play08:30

doesn't make sense to worry about it on

play08:32

a day-to-day um uh time frame because

play08:34

what I do today what I learn today may

play08:37

change what I do tomorrow which then

play08:40

changes what happens in 10 years down

play08:42

the road so I think times like this it's

play08:45

very very good to have the Visionary hat

play08:48

on of where you want to go because it

play08:50

gives you the ability to reverse

play08:53

engineer what you need to do in order to

play08:55

make that Vision happen so who I want to

play08:58

be in 10 years who I want to be more

play09:01

practically in one year two years maybe

play09:03

three years we've talked about this

play09:05

before how it's so much easier to

play09:06

project three years down the road um

play09:09

than it is to project 10 years so you

play09:11

can always have your North Star your

play09:12

North Star is right up there it's you

play09:14

know maybe it's 10 years maybe it's 20

play09:16

25 depends on where you're at in life

play09:18

and what you're planning for but you can

play09:19

always have that North Star but you

play09:21

really now want to reel it back to

play09:23

something that's a little bit more

play09:24

practical for planning purposes and

play09:26

that's the next 1 to three years right

play09:28

anybody can look at the next one to

play09:30

three years so I actually printed out a

play09:32

document before we came up here because

play09:34

we were asking you know hey what are we

play09:35

going to talk about today okay it's

play09:36

releasing on January 3rd hey let's talk

play09:38

about this thing that you know um the

play09:40

the yesterday today and tomorrow and

play09:42

then let's talk about um the vision um

play09:44

because I'm actually in that mode I

play09:46

don't get in this mode very often but

play09:48

certainly in annual planning I revisit

play09:51

what we say we are going to do where are

play09:53

we at now where what what do we need to

play09:55

do to get where we want to go so I

play09:57

actually uh uh brought this document so

play09:59

that we could talk about it uh during

play10:00

the podcast but um really what it's

play10:02

doing is saying what do we want to do

play10:04

this year and then past this year what

play10:07

do we want to see in 2025 and then what

play10:09

do we want to see in 2026 hello flip for

play10:13

those of you watching I'm like

play10:14

maneuvering into Flip's territory here

play10:16

as I say the three years um uh but the

play10:20

it really is just a practice and vision

play10:22

right because your team it's hard for

play10:24

them to wrap themelves around goals

play10:27

where they don't see the line they don't

play10:30

understand where the finish line is so

play10:32

okay you want me to buy 20 deals a month

play10:34

well what does that mean to us three

play10:36

down three years down the road what does

play10:38

that mean to me in my life and my

play10:40

personal um how it reflects you know in

play10:42

in how I grow with a company and if they

play10:44

don't see the vision then 20 deals a

play10:47

month that maybe doesn't mean much to

play10:48

them it's just a number and there's no

play10:50

care or engagement with the number but

play10:52

if they can see what you're trying to

play10:55

accomplish three years down the road

play10:56

ultimately maybe 10 20 25 years down the

play10:59

road suddenly they get that buyin right

play11:02

of oh I understand now and um we've

play11:06

always try to do that but I'm really

play11:08

trying to get better and better at that

play11:10

um each year as we go and now um that we

play11:12

have a president in place we have really

play11:14

strong leadership in place for our

play11:16

family of companies I think that if I

play11:18

can create and finish this document that

play11:20

I'm working on today give it to then

play11:22

leadership I think it can springboard

play11:24

across the rest of the the company and

play11:26

when I say springboard it gives them a

play11:27

launching platform right um it gives

play11:30

them a I understand what is going on I

play11:33

understand the vision for this company I

play11:34

understand what my responsibilities are

play11:36

I understand where my focus should be

play11:38

today and that's it today because I

play11:40

don't care about what happened yesterday

play11:42

I don't care about what's going to

play11:43

happen tomorrow we've laid it out we

play11:44

know where our Northstar is but this is

play11:46

what I'm going to do today in order for

play11:49

us to make sure that we succeed yep and

play11:51

if we as leadership do a good job of

play11:54

that for our team I think

play11:55

2024 just is amazing like our best year

play11:59

yet agreed yeah so okay so our question

play12:03

to you really is um for those of you

play12:05

listening um if this is something in

play12:06

your life that you need to do you know

play12:08

let's just say you're a physician um we

play12:10

have a lot of Physicians um uh as

play12:12

investors with us we have a lot of busy

play12:14

you know professionals is what we like

play12:16

to say because that could be um any

play12:18

career you could be an entrepr

play12:19

entrepreneur you could be a business

play12:20

owner you could be a real estate

play12:21

investor um as your full-time career you

play12:24

could be um illegal or it doesn't matter

play12:26

so you are just um whoever you are I

play12:30

want to ask you um personally maybe what

play12:33

is your vision so a lot of people are

play12:34

connected with us because of uh Freedom

play12:37

through passive income of the desire to

play12:39

achieve freedom in their life um

play12:41

whatever that may be and so what is your

play12:44

vision for 20124 what are you wanting to

play12:46

achieve is it a um you know is it

play12:48

another uh Benchmark on your road to

play12:51

financial freedom and being able to um

play12:54

you know have the peace of mind that

play12:57

everything is taken care of even if you

play12:58

love your job you know that if your job

play13:00

was not there tomorrow um through no

play13:03

fault of your own you had the income

play13:05

that you needed to take care of you and

play13:07

your family to continue to go on trips

play13:08

and things like that that's a whole

play13:10

different piece of mind that people

play13:11

don't even think about because reality

play13:12

is sometimes we just don't have control

play13:14

over what happens and we it's not always

play13:17

about I want to quit my job it's hey my

play13:19

job might not be there tomorrow for some

play13:21

reason um and uh that's you know that's

play13:24

real and so you should always be in a

play13:26

pursuit of uh making sure that you are

play13:29

planning uh for your success and for

play13:32

your family's future and so that's what

play13:34

why we love to talk about that type of

play13:36

stuff um so much um and so uh one other

play13:40

thing is the word for the year so every

play13:43

single year we have a word so do you

play13:45

want to talk about what our word was for

play13:48

2023 and what our word is for 2024 well

play13:50

I believe the word for 2023 originally

play13:52

started out as simple Yes

play13:55

Yes uh and each letter Y stood for for

play13:58

another word yes uh which simple so s

play14:02

was stood for simple no I stood for

play14:05

imple M stood for

play14:08

mle and then p and

play14:11

then see there you

play14:13

go yeah so is H shine innovate

play14:17

magical

play14:19

uh see I knew you now I'm on the spot

play14:22

well that's funny because innovate was

play14:24

one of the words we chose but it was

play14:26

actually inspire yeah yeah so it's shine

play14:28

Inspire magical and then P was positive

play14:32

even though we were like passion and P

play14:34

purpose were in the Runnings um and then

play14:37

L was laugh e was enjoy yep that's

play14:39

correct right so so simple was actually

play14:41

the word to focus on us continuing to be

play14:44

simple like everything that we do is

play14:46

simple in nature we try to take anything

play14:48

that is complex and dial it down to the

play14:50

most simple um foundational elements of

play14:53

it so that we can understand it very

play14:56

clearly ourselves and communicate it to

play14:58

our team communicate it to our investors

play15:01

um and we just gain faster traction

play15:04

because there's always a piece of

play15:05

clarity that comes with things that are

play15:07

simple so that was our word for

play15:09

2023 but then flip came up with the idea

play15:12

of attaching a word to each letter of

play15:15

simple um and that's where shine Inspire

play15:18

Inspire Inspire magical positivity yep

play15:23

laugh enjoy yes that's where that came

play15:25

from and and as you can see it's the end

play15:27

of 2023 as we're recording this um

play15:30

beginning of 2024 and we're still

play15:32

messing up the the letters and it's

play15:34

because we came up we like we took the

play15:36

word simple and then wrote it on a piece

play15:37

of paper and came up with all the the

play15:38

words that we thought each letter um

play15:40

could do so I obviously had innovate and

play15:43

Inspire in it and P had positivity

play15:45

passion and purpose in it and that's the

play15:47

one we screw up actually the most um but

play15:50

we're going to talk about um some of

play15:51

this today because I truly believe we

play15:54

accomplished um simple we continue to do

play15:56

a good job of making complex things

play15:58

simple

play15:59

within theany um within the structure

play16:01

and how we're growing and also in

play16:04

communicating um to our investors and

play16:06

also in what we're building um out to

play16:08

launch in our funds um there's there's

play16:11

always a point where we look at

play16:12

something we go whoop that's not simple

play16:14

and then we dial it back um so I think

play16:16

we did a good job and then we really

play16:18

focused in 2023 on building the

play16:20

foundation of our marketing team our

play16:21

marketing team is probably grown about

play16:24

five times like from the start of 2023

play16:27

to now the end of 2024 like we've really

play16:29

bolstered them up um because uh we are

play16:33

ready to take off we have built such a

play16:35

strong Foundation within our family of

play16:36

companies um that we are just going all

play16:39

out here in 2024 and in order to do that

play16:41

we had to build the foundation in 2023

play16:44

um so all of the the words um shine um

play16:50

Inspire magical positivity laugh enjoy

play16:54

became a foundational element of what we

play16:58

built on a marketing you know angle it's

play17:01

you know we just we don't want to go out

play17:03

there and be somebody we're not I'm I'm

play17:05

here in my normal t-shirt right um I've

play17:08

got shorts on you can't see that if

play17:09

you're watching um flips in his American

play17:12

flag my normal Polo yeah um we just

play17:15

didn't want to become anything that we

play17:18

aren't we want authenticity is so um

play17:21

important to us and is just at our core

play17:24

um that we cannot violate that so we're

play17:26

thinking of you know okay we want be

play17:28

these things and we want to do these

play17:30

things like what's the core values

play17:31

inside of us that we want to um

play17:33

essentially shine through everything

play17:35

that we do and how does it shine in

play17:37

everything we do um it starts at the

play17:38

core level of marketing right because as

play17:41

we show people who we are um it's at

play17:44

that marketing level um that we really

play17:47

uh help people understand what our

play17:49

values are because they just see it in

play17:51

us like they don't have to read our core

play17:52

values they just they're like oh you

play17:54

know hey flip and Dy they love to laugh

play17:56

they love to enjoy themselves um they

play17:58

just want to have fun um they also have

play18:01

passion um about uh you know being

play18:03

positive we're going to talk about that

play18:04

a little bit about negativity and

play18:06

positivity um and about always lifting

play18:08

others up and helping others um and

play18:10

achieving things together like that is

play18:12

at that is just our character and who we

play18:14

are um so I think all of those words I

play18:16

think we did a really good

play18:17

job I I agree and it's what's

play18:19

interesting is um uh I had smile also as

play18:23

the oh yes yes but um you know you were

play18:26

just talking about the marketing

play18:27

department and you know for the longest

play18:29

time we've always said that our

play18:31

Acquisitions company that's the that's

play18:33

the bus that drives our company you know

play18:36

uh but it's actually the marketing

play18:37

company because without the marketing

play18:39

company our companies don't do anything

play18:41

yeah you know and and and I think it's

play18:44

it kind of happened because it happened

play18:47

we didn't we didn't go into 2023 and

play18:49

like we're GNA triple our marketing

play18:51

budget and and we're going to grow the

play18:53

marketing team by tenfold and you know

play18:56

we didn't say any of that it but most

play18:58

most of that happened because we just

play19:00

kept doing this this this and we need to

play19:02

do this and we need to do this and the

play19:04

reason why the Acquisitions team is

play19:06

doing so well right now is because of

play19:08

the marketing team that's right so it's

play19:10

uh I I mean it's it's great I love it

play19:13

yes love it yes so 2024 what is our word

play19:16

for the year uh so the word for 2024 um

play19:20

as of today um is is excellence and I do

play19:25

want to tell you that Excellence does

play19:26

not stand for each

play19:29

stand for a word we're not doing that

play19:32

this year too many too many e in

play19:35

there it's funny I was laughing as of

play19:38

today um uh so that word's not going to

play19:40

change no it's not I was just kidding

play19:43

well the the reason why I said that it

play19:45

was funny because smile when we

play19:46

originally did smile that was before

play19:49

things sorry smile simple it was before

play19:52

things changed and before we jumped back

play19:54

in with both feet and we went from wow

play19:57

yeah this yes is going to be simple to

play19:59

Holy uh Hell in a hand basket um you

play20:03

know but we still kept it you know we

play20:05

still kept simple Yes U you know and I

play20:08

think it was actually perfect that we

play20:09

kept it it it really rained things in um

play20:13

uh but that's why I was making the joke

play20:14

of as of today uh yeah no just that was

play20:18

a total joke um so Excellence um why is

play20:21

that our word for the year um it really

play20:23

is because we've grown so fast um and I

play20:27

think most uh most companies that have

play20:30

have built as fast as we have um would

play20:33

have been in trouble and I think we've

play20:34

talked about this in in other podcast

play20:36

that um there was there were there were

play20:38

times that if we did not make a shift we

play20:40

would have failed as a company and that

play20:42

shift was typically growing another arm

play20:45

of our business faster than we

play20:46

anticipated so it was very very

play20:49

intentional of we've got to do this we

play20:51

had it in our vision but we've got to do

play20:53

it early in order to keep control of

play20:55

what we're building um but a part of the

play20:57

problem of building that fast is there

play20:59

is just no way to achieve excellence in

play21:01

all that you do when you grow that fast

play21:03

you're literally just spinning all the

play21:04

plates and you're just going okay don't

play21:06

let them drop don't let them drop don't

play21:07

let them drop and it was for the the

play21:09

purpose and pursuit of success and the

play21:12

purpose and pursuit of taking care of

play21:13

the investors that trusted us that we we

play21:16

continued to spin spin spin spin spin um

play21:19

and so this year is really kind of

play21:21

taking um all that we've built and

play21:24

saying hey look at where we are um this

play21:27

is is amazing look at the foundation

play21:30

that we've built look at the team that

play21:31

has been created like um when whenever

play21:34

there's a moment for us to to kind of be

play21:36

like down on ourselves that we aren't

play21:38

where we we want to be or we thought we

play21:41

could be you just have to take a moment

play21:43

and go whoa look how far we came and

play21:45

look how fast that happened so in 2024

play21:49

our goal is to take everything that we

play21:52

built and said okay now it's time to

play21:54

shine the light on all the areas of the

play21:57

business every sing sing a little dark

play21:58

corner and say hey we're not doing that

play22:01

right we're not doing that to the best

play22:02

of our ability so now let's take this

play22:05

word excellence and just strive for

play22:08

excellence in excellence in every single

play22:10

thing that we do and as we strive for

play22:12

excellence it means that everything

play22:14

improves um our team interaction

play22:17

improves right because people coming

play22:19

into our company and working with us it

play22:21

literally was this is what we need you

play22:23

to do this is where we need help we do

play22:24

not have processes and systems in place

play22:27

we need you we we hired you because

play22:28

you're the type of person that's going

play22:30

to go in there and go I know what to do

play22:31

and I'm going to figure it out and when

play22:32

I don't know what to do I'm going to

play22:33

come and ask a question and that's the

play22:35

type of people we hired and that's why

play22:37

we love our team so much because um

play22:38

we're just Scrappy and we figure it out

play22:40

and we make it happen and when we make a

play22:42

mistake we we go back and we figure out

play22:43

how to fix it and we learn from the

play22:45

lesson and we keep on moving um uh it's

play22:48

not easy but it's because of the team

play22:49

we've built around us that we've been

play22:51

able to do it um now we're really

play22:53

striving to even find that Excellence

play22:55

within our team so that one of the

play22:57

things I wrote down down on this

play22:58

document was for operations is just

play23:00

having you know HR really dialed in that

play23:02

when somebody joins the team they are

play23:04

really like they're like theyve given

play23:06

everything they they've got everything

play23:08

that they need they've got their you

play23:09

know one-on-one set up they've got their

play23:12

um benefits uh set up they know when

play23:14

their reviews are they know where the

play23:15

online training is there was a point in

play23:17

time where people would come on board

play23:18

and they're like I don't even know how

play23:19

to communicate I've got slack I've got

play23:22

text I've got phone I've got go chat and

play23:24

like I don't know how to reach people 10

play23:27

different emails

play23:29

um so really having that onboarding

play23:31

process dialed in and allowing them to

play23:34

be able to get to know the family of

play23:35

companies because even though you're

play23:36

hired into one it really is important

play23:39

that they understand how we all work

play23:41

together and that's what allows us to be

play23:43

so powerful and strong and how we serve

play23:44

our investors um so that's a perfect

play23:47

example of Excellence within the team

play23:48

for 2024 but then it's also Excellence

play23:51

for our investors in 2024 like um where

play23:54

has communication failed what where

play23:56

where what are things that we could do

play23:57

better better to create like wow this

play23:59

company is absolutely amazing so um

play24:02

Excellence across the board is our word

play24:04

for 2024 because um I hope that you see

play24:08

as an investor with us um how much we

play24:11

improve from um now to this point

play24:13

because we've been talking about it for

play24:15

like I don't know three or four weeks

play24:16

now um from now until the end of 2024 um

play24:20

I hope that we are so dialed in that our

play24:23

reputation is is ultimately like the

play24:26

main reason why people work with us

play24:30

weow by of

play24:32

mouth people are referring us and they

play24:35

saying hey you got to work with this

play24:37

company they care um it matters to them

play24:39

like they they're still human but like

play24:42

they have really dialed it in and they

play24:44

listen they jump on the phone with you

play24:45

and go how can we be better so that's

play24:47

the type of company we continually want

play24:49

to be um and that's our word for the

play24:51

year so I thought that would be

play24:52

important to share so that you guys

play24:54

could do the same um personally and

play24:56

professionally find out what that one

play24:57

word is I think that really helps dial

play24:59

in the today as well right ab's what's

play25:02

the word we're chasing and so how can I

play25:04

achieve that today so I think that's

play25:06

really important um and then let's let's

play25:08

jump into like the negativity positivity

play25:10

thinking um so you and I like read

play25:14

different

play25:15

things um and um many of it many of the

play25:19

things that we read are intended to help

play25:21

us um eliminate the negative thoughts

play25:24

right because I think it's natural as a

play25:27

human being to have negative thoughts um

play25:29

I've been on webinars where people say

play25:31

hey why are you afraid to do this in

play25:33

fact a webinar I was recently on why are

play25:35

you afraid to speak in public and I wish

play25:37

I had the piece of paper with me right

play25:38

now to tell you all of the reasons um

play25:41

but impostor syndrome I'm afraid that

play25:44

nobody's going to listen to me I'm

play25:45

afraid that I don't have anything

play25:46

valuable to say um I have the fear of

play25:50

just speaking in front of people like

play25:52

why should they listen to me um and

play25:54

there was just it was about like I had a

play25:56

piece of paper and I almost filled the

play25:57

entire piece of paper with people's

play25:59

comments and I read the comments going

play26:01

I've been there I've been there I think

play26:03

it's natural for people to think um NE

play26:07

negative things about themselves when in

play26:10

reality is is uh the more positivity

play26:13

that we put into ourselves the more

play26:16

successful we we become as as a result

play26:19

um so I'm going to let you talk for a

play26:20

little bit on how this is impacted your

play26:22

life our lives our team's lives like um

play26:26

yeah why don't you share uh well I mean

play26:28

I've always been the uh I'm not the guy

play26:32

that's the glass half full I'm not the

play26:34

guy that's glass half empty I'm the I

play26:37

got a glass you know I'm I'm super

play26:40

excited I don't care if there's

play26:41

something in it I got a glass you guys

play26:42

don't have a glass I've got a glass um

play26:45

and so I've always been uh I've always

play26:47

just focused on the positive um because

play26:50

I've seen it and and I've seen when

play26:52

people are negative they're they're just

play26:55

they're continually negative they're

play26:56

they're you know you just won the

play26:58

lottery yeah but I got to pay taxes

play27:01

that's right you know I'm like oh

play27:05

okay then I'll take the lottery and I'll

play27:08

pay I'll happily super excited now I get

play27:11

to pay taxes you know um but you know

play27:14

but they're they're negative about

play27:16

everything and it really just you know

play27:18

it sort of puts a black cloud around

play27:19

them and and you see that and and like

play27:22

uh there's people that you know that you

play27:24

and I used to like hang out with and

play27:25

were like well they're just constantly

play27:27

negative they got this black cutter I'm

play27:28

like I don't want to hang out with them

play27:30

it's it's Debbie Downer and and I don't

play27:33

want it rubb off on me and most and I

play27:35

start feeling negative and talking

play27:36

negative about things uh because it does

play27:38

spread it's it's horrible it's like

play27:40

wildfire um and so uh so I've always

play27:44

been a firm believer in in being

play27:47

positive and and always thinking

play27:49

positive thoughts and and uh and it too

play27:53

is also um uh contagious

play27:58

you know positive thinking the more that

play28:00

you think positively the more uh that

play28:03

you know that that things happens I mean

play28:05

uh for example smiling you know I said

play28:07

that smile was my word uh you know when

play28:10

you walk into a room if you're smiling I

play28:12

don't know I think there's a study I

play28:14

know that this's a study and it was

play28:15

probably done by University of Michigan

play28:17

um just because they do a lot of studies

play28:19

like this um and but uh U that if you

play28:24

walk into a room and you're smiling uh

play28:26

that

play28:27

78.6% of the people that are in the room

play28:30

are going to smile back at you because

play28:31

you just smiled at them and it's going

play28:32

to force them and not force them but

play28:34

their reaction is to smile back at you

play28:37

and so it's contagious and uh and then

play28:39

there's the whole like it takes less

play28:42

muscles in your face to

play28:43

smile and we've heard all this since

play28:45

we're like three years old right you

play28:47

know well there's truth to this and um

play28:50

and it just makes your day better you

play28:52

know and even when it's raining out last

play28:54

night it was raining out and and we

play28:56

didn't get to go see uh a concert that

play28:58

we wanted to go see but I didn't care I

play29:00

was still smiling it was raining so what

play29:01

and and we still had a great day and uh

play29:04

we actually went out to eat somewhere

play29:06

that we haven't been yeah exactly and so

play29:09

uh so so good things happen and you know

play29:12

when when you're smiling and when you're

play29:14

being positive and it just I just why

play29:17

why not yeah I I feel like uh the world

play29:20

is a reflection of what is inside you

play29:23

right so um the happier you are the more

play29:27

positive you are um as a result um and

play29:30

this is really the Law of Attraction

play29:32

really as a result you kind of attract

play29:34

like things like attracts like um so uh

play29:38

people like us that are very very

play29:39

positive we love other people who are

play29:41

also positive we are like a magnet the

play29:44

reverse magnet for people who are

play29:46

negative we're like okay we just want to

play29:48

go away um and and we very quickly

play29:51

dissolve those relationships or say hey

play29:53

I don't have time I'm sorry I can't um

play29:54

but for people who are positive it's

play29:56

like clink um you know and we are like

play29:58

very strong mag magnetic um uh to them

play30:02

and uh that's really how we've kind of

play30:04

built um you know who we've surrounded

play30:06

ourselves with is the people that we are

play30:08

we are attracted to the most um so that

play30:11

magnetic um example I think is really

play30:14

really powerful um so who who people are

play30:17

on the inside is just a reflection of

play30:19

the world that you essentially create

play30:20

because we are creators we can create

play30:22

anything that we want in the world you

play30:24

just to say what it is that you want to

play30:26

do and then start taking the steps

play30:28

towards that you can create that vision

play30:30

for your life um and it's all about how

play30:32

much do you believe in yourself um how

play30:34

much uh how who are the people that you

play30:36

surrounded yourself with so that when

play30:38

you do have um some thoughts that are

play30:40

not beneficial to the outcome that you

play30:42

are trying to achieve um how are they

play30:44

helping you are they cheering you on are

play30:46

they telling you I told you so um uh you

play30:48

know it's it's really that you want

play30:50

people who are going to celebrate your

play30:52

success you want people who are going to

play30:53

hold you hold you accountable push you

play30:55

when you need pushed um slap you across

play30:58

the face when you need to slap across

play30:59

the face Flip's done that for me many

play31:01

times like I'd be in tears about

play31:02

something and he'd be like and he

play31:04

doesn't slap me he does obviously that

play31:06

was that was that was an expression um

play31:09

but he will with his words say what are

play31:11

you talking about Danny and he will just

play31:13

give me a slew of reasons why I'm crazy

play31:16

for thinking that and I like oh oh and

play31:19

what I was just living in my head right

play31:21

and and a a reflection of what's in my

play31:23

head in my mind um comes out in how I

play31:26

speak um and so wrote down this so that

play31:28

we could share it um because it was in

play31:29

the article that you forwarded me um and

play31:31

this is something that you may have

play31:32

heard many times I have too but I don't

play31:34

have it written down and I'm going to

play31:35

write it down here in 2024 and I'm going

play31:37

to post it um so it says watch your

play31:40

thoughts they become words watch your

play31:41

words they become actions watch your

play31:43

actions they become habits watch your

play31:45

habits they become your character and

play31:47

watch your character it becomes your

play31:49

destiny and I really truly believe that

play31:52

after um you and I are both over the age

play31:54

of 50 now um and

play31:58

25 and I truly believe in our years of

play32:02

existence we have proven this statement

play32:04

true we have proven some of the most

play32:07

common things that are told to you over

play32:09

and over and over that are true

play32:12

sometimes when I was younger I was like

play32:13

oh whatever everybody says that I don't

play32:14

believe that um or you know yeah what do

play32:17

they know no exactly it is so so so very

play32:20

true so um I'm gonna end with that

play32:22

before we go to the commercial break

play32:23

because um after the commercial break

play32:24

we're going to dive into our 2024 Vision

play32:26

play32:28

play33:19

welcome back we're super excited to be

play33:20

here on this episode we're talking about

play33:22

2024 um and launching into the year and

play33:25

what we have done to prepare for 2024 um

play33:28

so super excited about what we've got in

play33:30

planed and I told you that after the

play33:31

commercial break we're actually going to

play33:33

dive into a document I've been working

play33:34

on today um and by today I mean a couple

play33:37

weeks before the year ends um because we

play33:39

are pre-recording this so um you're

play33:41

getting some insight into what 2024 is

play33:44

going to look like for

play33:46

us so flip told you that our word for

play33:48

the year is excellence and we Des we

play33:50

described what that means to us um in

play33:52

the terms of Excellence now Excellence

play33:54

also uh like flip said I asked him about

play33:56

202 before and I didn't really go into

play33:58

this at the very beginning um but that

play34:00

we're focusing on health and so like a

play34:02

big thing that nobody really knows about

play34:04

right now but they're going to know

play34:06

about by the time this this podcast airs

play34:09

excuse me um is that uh flip and I did a

play34:11

drinking challenge um and so I've been

play34:13

drinking every day for like four

play34:17

months so part of our health Journey um

play34:20

is uh that uh We've we love drinking

play34:24

beer like for alcohol for us we're not

play34:26

much of mixed drinks person and when we

play34:28

say beer like it's the watered down kind

play34:30

like we love Melo Ultra I know I know

play34:33

there beer kind of listening to us going

play34:35

oh yeah they're not beer

play34:37

drinkers um so we laugh at ourselves and

play34:40

it's just you know we're kind of

play34:42

lightweights but we just enjoy um being

play34:44

able to turn off it's like we've called

play34:46

it the easy button right the easy button

play34:48

to relaxing at the end of the night

play34:50

after a long day um and so or on the

play34:53

weekend or whatever it is that we're

play34:54

doing so um you know we've had different

play34:57

um fitness challenges in the past and

play34:58

we've done you know really well

play35:00

considering the fact that we drink beer

play35:02

um and uh so we recently decided hey

play35:04

we're just going to you know do a 30-day

play35:06

challenge and just not drink and just

play35:07

see where it takes us um and so we're at

play35:09

the recording of this uh we're at um day

play35:12

28 um so by the time you hear this

play35:14

episode we will have successfully

play35:15

finished our 30-day challenge because

play35:17

there's no way that we're going to be

play35:18

drinking in the next two days unless

play35:19

they go on a

play35:20

bender um so we only have a couple more

play35:24

um no yeah today is going to be day 29

play35:26

actually tomorrow day 30 um so uh yeah

play35:29

so so super excited about that and and

play35:32

excited about the fact that um we've

play35:35

just taken our our health um to another

play35:38

level we've said hey this is probably

play35:40

the reason that we

play35:41

haven't really dialed in um the our

play35:45

fitness and our nutrition um because

play35:47

we're continuing to um hit the easy

play35:50

button and drink and so uh in this part

play35:52

of uh whenever you stop something it

play35:55

requires you to start something new um

play35:57

in order to have a higher chance of

play35:59

success and what I mean by that is we

play36:01

had to replace what we were doing at

play36:02

night right so um the actual first night

play36:06

we were on the uh fence of whether we

play36:08

were going to drink or not we actually

play36:09

still went to the restaurant still sat

play36:11

at the bar and literally ordered a water

play36:15

um and so that was kind of proof that

play36:17

hey we can do this we made it night one

play36:19

night one's the hardest because you're

play36:21

just so used to it um and so and then uh

play36:25

night two and I and I think I think what

play36:27

night one proved to us is that we hated

play36:29

the idea of not drinking because it

play36:31

meant we didn't go out to restaurants

play36:32

because if we went out to restaurants it

play36:33

would tempt us to just have a drink

play36:35

because that's what we did that was just

play36:37

the occasion um but we proved night one

play36:39

that hey we can go to a restaurant we

play36:41

can actually sit at the bar and actually

play36:43

just have a water or your unsweet iced

play36:45

tea um uh so I think that's really what

play36:48

kicked it off I think on the right way

play36:50

is just proving to ourselves we could

play36:51

because we've continually gone out to

play36:53

eat and we've continually been willing

play36:54

to sit at the bar if we didn't want to

play36:56

sit in a Booth um because at the we're

play36:58

just it's just flipping ey so sometimes

play37:00

at the bar you just um you get your food

play37:01

faster that's number one that's our

play37:03

number one reason for sitting at the bar

play37:05

um but you also have other people um and

play37:07

the TVs are right in front of you so we

play37:09

just enjoy you know just kind of having

play37:10

fun to each other with each other and

play37:12

being being relaxed um but I'm just

play37:15

going back to the to to this to say um

play37:18

every single year could be a new level

play37:21

of what you've been trying to a achieve

play37:22

so it's not like I thought that we

play37:24

failed in the past because we have um

play37:26

lost weight we have gotten better in

play37:28

certain areas um but this year we just

play37:31

decided to take it to a new level and

play37:33

and go somewhere new so just be

play37:35

encouraged that um no matter where

play37:37

you're at and even if you're still

play37:38

trying to achieve a goal that you've put

play37:40

on your list two or three four years

play37:42

prior um there's always a new level that

play37:44

you can hit and if you're having

play37:46

difficulty getting through a challenge

play37:47

um an example is just us trying to

play37:50

change the environment so um like we're

play37:52

doing a a lot more act activity like

play37:55

we're just um walking a lot we're going

play37:57

to new places we're experiencing new

play37:59

things and all of it is in an effort of

play38:01

hey if we're not going to go drink what

play38:03

else can we do that's fun and we're

play38:05

really really enjoying ourselves and

play38:07

just having a good time with this and um

play38:09

so we've kind of both said you know the

play38:11

thir Day Challenge is going to continue

play38:12

on um whether or not we have a drink

play38:15

here and there doesn't really matter

play38:17

we've actually now become non-drinkers

play38:19

that occasionally drink instead of

play38:21

drinkers that occasionally not drink um

play38:23

which is what uh has been in the past so

play38:25

that's just a quick encouragement came

play38:27

off the cuff um because I'm super

play38:28

excited about it I'm super ex it goes

play38:30

back to that whole day not not thinking

play38:32

about tomorrow not thinking about

play38:33

yesterday but thinking about today yes

play38:35

so I'm not trying to think about I'm not

play38:36

going to drink tomorrow in the next day

play38:38

and I'm not going to do this tomorrow in

play38:39

the next day and and or anything like

play38:42

that I'm thinking about just today today

play38:44

I'm going to I'm just I'm not going to

play38:46

drink today yeah you know and then it's

play38:48

no no big deal and it's and it because

play38:50

I'm treating it like it's no big deal

play38:52

now now you say it's been 28 days I'm

play38:54

like that's that's four

play38:57

weeks super super incredible so super

play39:00

exciting so um always just be encouraged

play39:02

to continue to continually um keep

play39:05

trying things that you have been trying

play39:06

in the past um and then um let's dial

play39:09

into this real quick so um Excellence is

play39:11

the word for the year so I have some you

play39:13

know stuff at the very beginning of this

play39:14

document for my team um but here's um

play39:16

some things that I wrote down for ways

play39:18

to achieve Excellence um so I wrote down

play39:20

take pride in your work prompt

play39:22

communication such as inbox zero and

play39:24

24-hour standards proactive

play39:26

communication personal and professional

play39:28

development identifying ways for us to

play39:30

improve and exceed our goals attention

play39:32

to detail a desire to go above and

play39:34

beyond an attitude of love and kindness

play39:36

in every interaction providing Clarity

play39:38

where there is confusion and confirming

play39:40

responsibilities power to act and

play39:42

resources needed to succeed um and then

play39:44

we have a whole sheet that I linked to

play39:46

of team member contributions where they

play39:48

actually did this exercise and said how

play39:51

can I create excellence in 2024 um and

play39:54

I'm actually going to take the time to

play39:56

read through the sheet and highlight

play39:58

some things that I I find valuable um to

play40:00

add to this list and to give to the

play40:02

leadership team um hopefully by end of

play40:04

day today um so um past that um um ways

play40:10

to achieve Excellence then I gave

play40:12

everybody at every company a top three

play40:14

for 2024 and my expectation is that

play40:17

every um department and every company

play40:19

underneath us gives every individual a

play40:21

top three for 2024 because when you're

play40:23

focused on too much it's very hard to

play40:25

dial things in you just get overwhelmed

play40:27

and you're not sure where to start um

play40:29

you're not sure what to focus on or what

play40:32

is more important than the other so if

play40:34

you have a top three um that you're

play40:36

always focused on it's easy for you to

play40:38

look at today and say there's my top

play40:41

three and so what's on my list for today

play40:44

and which of them have to do with these

play40:46

three things and that's how I prioritize

play40:49

my days going forward and uh that's what

play40:52

helps us gain major major traction to

play40:54

our goals um so uh the um entire family

play40:58

of companies has a top three the

play41:00

marketing department financials

play41:02

operations um Freedom uh the uh Freedom

play41:06

so the Real Estate Group which is our

play41:08

Market marketing company freedom family

play41:09

Capital which is our fund and

play41:10

syndication company um cash for Ohio

play41:12

houses our acquisition company bdr our

play41:15

renovation company IPM our property

play41:17

management company and IRG retail um

play41:19

brokerage um all have a top three and

play41:23

then we have some new Ventures or shifts

play41:24

that we're making in the FOC for 2024

play41:27

then underneath that I took and said

play41:30

what's the three-year forecast when we

play41:32

succeed at our top three in 2024 what

play41:36

does 2025 and 2026 look like this is the

play41:39

extra piece that gives your team and

play41:41

your investors your customers what

play41:43

depends on what um business you're

play41:45

running or what company um you work with

play41:47

this is what gives you the vision so

play41:49

that you understand why my top three for

play41:50

2024 are important because you're going

play41:52

to see how it affects 2025 and 2026 um

play41:56

so so same categories uh for every

play41:58

department and every company each have

play42:00

to say what 2025 2026 should look like

play42:03

as a result of achieving what we um set

play42:06

out to do in 2024 um and that's what

play42:09

we're essentially going to roll out to

play42:11

the company um so that we can really do

play42:14

a better job of dialing in what we focus

play42:16

on each and every day and where we're

play42:18

going um and I'm super super excited to

play42:21

be rolling this out and one of the

play42:22

examples I gave earlier in the podcast

play42:24

was the 20 deals a month right and I put

play42:26

that as a minimum a bare minimum in 2024

play42:29

of 20 deals a month why because in 2025

play42:34

20 2026 what did I put for C4 I put

play42:37

we've expanded in other markets and have

play42:39

become one of the largest wholesaling

play42:40

companies in the country um and our team

play42:43

consists of key leadership and an army

play42:45

of Superstar vas um so um when we become

play42:49

this great wholesaling company we are

play42:51

not only serving ourselves because we

play42:53

wholesale deals to ourselves um uh but

play42:56

we're also wholesaling um properties to

play42:58

other investors um in order to what do

play43:01

we accomplish by doing that we

play43:02

accomplish um other investors to be able

play43:04

to find deals to be able to improve

play43:06

neighborhoods to be able to provide more

play43:07

housing to renters um to be able to

play43:09

clean up areas that have boarded up

play43:11

homes um so it's like it's a really big

play43:14

every single company has a a purpose and

play43:17

a vision um tied to it that means

play43:19

something to us in a way that we are

play43:21

helping the world and we are helping

play43:23

communities we are helping people it

play43:26

also allows us um to raise more Capital

play43:28

because we're doing more deals we're

play43:30

actually going to in our 25 26 we're

play43:32

actually going to start um uh expanding

play43:34

on our um portfolio of what we own so

play43:37

not only owning multif family and self

play43:39

storage and the things that we've been

play43:40

after um recently we we'll also probably

play43:43

create our own single family and in in

play43:45

um small multif family uh portfolio

play43:47

because we just believe in those

play43:49

Investments as well um so it's super

play43:51

exciting um for every single company to

play43:53

understand what 2024 looks like and why

play43:56

and how it leads into the next two years

play43:58

so that they can actually do a small

play44:00

exercise that says how do I contribute

play44:02

what's my top three and now I know where

play44:04

to focus on every single day if you can

play44:06

do that for yourself personally

play44:07

professionally 20244 will be your best

play44:10

year yet um because you stay focused

play44:12

throughout the year because there's only

play44:15

one time that you typically do this type

play44:17

of work it's now it's right at the end

play44:20

of the previous year or the beginning of

play44:21

the new year so as you listen to this

play44:23

podcast if you have not done it already

play44:25

this is the time to take a step back and

play44:27

just block two hours I think I did I

play44:29

created what I I have so far um after

play44:31

our pre-planning meeting that we had and

play44:33

that was like a couple hours and then

play44:35

this morning I think I spent a couple

play44:36

hours on it so it doesn't take a lot of

play44:38

time what it does take is undistracted

play44:40

time you have to be able to focus and

play44:43

really kind of get inside yourself to

play44:45

say what you want um and what do you

play44:47

truly want not what somebody else wants

play44:49

I didn't put on this paper what Steve

play44:50

wants or what flip wants I put on this

play44:52

piece of paper what I want and then I'm

play44:54

going to give it to flip and to the rest

play44:56

of the team and we're going to then

play44:59

negotiate and dial in what these top

play45:02

three things truly are um for every

play45:04

single and then every single person is

play45:05

going to then further identify what it

play45:07

is um and it just it's really going to

play45:09

be um something that we have continued

play45:12

to do better every year is this planning

play45:15

um because it's this time that we get

play45:18

excited motivated inspired and we start

play45:21

thinking bigger so now is the time to

play45:23

build on something like that I love it

play45:25

and then once you give it to me then

play45:27

I'll put it into uh chat GPT and I'll

play45:29

give it back to

play45:32

you yeah you probably should have put

play45:34

put you know learn AI um I don't know we

play45:37

should probably do an episode on AI

play45:39

sometime I don't know about the rest of

play45:40

you but AI I think is really really

play45:43

important um for us to learn but I'm

play45:46

also not I do not want to be dependent

play45:48

upon it I think we need I need to chat

play45:50

jpt for like maybe like a third grader

play45:53

or something they need to stop using all

play45:54

the big words and every time I use Chad

play45:56

gbt they're like this wasn't you yeah

play45:59

yeah yeah you don't say these

play46:01

words well that I think it's going to be

play46:03

interesting in 20124 um to see so many

play46:06

companies are using it and so when you

play46:07

see something you're like is it is that

play46:09

them you know or did some AI write that

play46:12

for him and for anybody who doesn't

play46:14

understand what we're saying AI is

play46:15

artificial intelligence I think most

play46:17

people um understand that that's a big

play46:19

thing these days um computers are doing

play46:21

most of the work for us um and not us in

play46:24

particular like we embraced it in that

play46:27

um you have to stay on top of Technology

play46:29

you have to make sure that you stay in

play46:31

tune with with where the world is going

play46:34

um because people who don't do that are

play46:36

going to be left behind um so it's

play46:38

incredibly important to stay on top of

play46:40

it but it's also incredibly important to

play46:43

understand who you are as a company and

play46:45

whe How much you're going to use of it

play46:47

um so is it okay to use it to to give

play46:50

you ideas um yes absolutely and that's

play46:53

what we're using it for but then we're

play46:54

grabbing it and we're actually still

play46:58

creating the content ourselves still our

play47:01

voice it's still us but AI maybe gave us

play47:04

10 more ideas that we wouldn't had

play47:06

otherwise um or um you know created an

play47:09

article that you know we had ideas and

play47:11

gave us three more bullet points to

play47:12

expand on they we're like oh those are

play47:14

super important let's talk about those I

play47:16

think that's where um it makes us better

play47:19

um and it makes and it makes us faster

play47:21

because the ideas can be like punched

play47:22

out but then we still create the content

play47:24

it's still us um so I know that's a

play47:26

really weird side topic but I think it's

play47:28

relevant for 2024 planning right you

play47:30

know if you're a business owner you need

play47:32

to be learning AI but learn figure out

play47:34

how you want to um use it because um you

play47:38

know it it can literally put somebody

play47:40

else's face on a screen and say things

play47:42

that that person isn't actually saying

play47:44

like it's really weird and kind of scary

play47:46

to me um what AI can do um so it's going

play47:50

to get harder to trust people um because

play47:53

you really have to now go I want to see

play47:55

you in person like are you real like and

play47:57

and are you really like the things that

play47:59

that is being said via video and email

play48:02

like is that you like am I am I learning

play48:04

to trust a person that's a real person

play48:06

and it's actually their personality like

play48:08

it's just going to get weird um so it's

play48:10

already

play48:12

yeah so there that might be a topic for

play48:15

a future um actually it should be we

play48:17

we'll make this a topic for a future

play48:18

podcast where we go back and forth on

play48:19

the pros and cons and maybe what you

play48:21

should be watching out for um in

play48:23

companies that are utilizing it to make

play48:24

sure that you know um they're still

play48:26

staying true to who they are and and the

play48:28

people that they're serving I think

play48:29

that's super important but that's all I

play48:31

got flip you got anything else for the

play48:33

um a new year a new you well I had a

play48:36

word for next year but we'll save that

play48:38

for next

play48:40

episode you scare me when you say things

play48:42

like that let's not

play48:45

ask probably best all right thank you

play48:48

guys for joining us today I hope 2024 um

play48:51

is kicking off the right way for you and

play48:53

if it's not then um that means that you

play48:55

can change it right this moment um

play48:57

because you have the power to do

play48:59

anything that you want you are a Creator

play49:00

and you can accomplish uh all that you

play49:02

desire if you just set your mind to it

play49:04

so one day at a time yeah kickoff 2024

play49:07

um the right way um if there's anything

play49:09

that we can do to help help you that's

play49:10

why we're here and that's why we record

play49:11

these podcasts um happy 2024 everybody
