five major impactful lessons which I
have learned in my last six years
Journey after passing out from my

if anyone of you wants to start your own

Clarity on how this entrepreneurship

have an understanding
whether uh you are right fit to become
an entrepreneur or not and you will have
a very good Clarity on key what is the
first step you have to take at least up
first step if you attend my session till
the end so uh quick question I don't
know if you you people all the trenders
have the exess of chat if you have so I
would like to ask each one of you how
many of you here want to become an
entrepreneur how many of you want to
have your own startup just quickly pink
in the chat
guys and I would also love if you guys
can switch on the cameras I'm not again
not sure if you guys have access for
that but if there is whle is raising the
hand whle uh I think you want to speak
something
uh PR you have to give them the right
you have to give up the
right got it got it not so probably I
think best whle if you can quickly chat
for the sake of you know preserving the
time if you can chat I think ma'am
everyone will can chat on uh can type a
messages in the chat that would be great
so guys it would be good for the sake of
saving the time if you can quickly type
on the chat that would be good so rle
wants to be UR okay so vipul raised the
hand for entrepreneur great vul great so
by the way guys vipul is actually part
of my team at uner talks is a product
and Community manager who is handling
the product aspects and the community
aspects of unet talks I see people
that's why probably you are closely
working with me thank you for responding
guys anyone else here who wants to
become a startup entrepreneur come on
guys let's keep this session little
interactive it would be more
fun Ashish pram anyone of you would like
to you know respond so okay until you
type in the chat I'll quickly move ahead
so guys first of all okay I'll I'll talk
about quickly my journey of unset
talks.com so basically guys uh unset
talks was purely built out of my passion
to guide and Mentor my
juniors very simple and the idea and the
vision is extremely simple it's to
bridge the gap of Juniors with their
seniors as well as industry
professionals with this Vision I started
unet talks and to be very Frank the
where we are currently at unet talks I
never envisioned we will be able to
reach where we are currently so I
started unet talks when I passed out
from tapa in 2017 just with one blog
post which I wrote about sharing my
experience of cracking the first
interview which was EXL analytics I
cracked that was my first job which I
cracked and lot of my Juniors were
asking me about my interview experience
and I thought why not why should I not
write a blog post because I was like
kind of sharing the same thing with each
one of my juniors then I what I did is
wrote A Blog online and I kept on
sharing that link to my juniors and the
response which I got from that I was
amazed like despite so much information
on the internet on Google related to EXL
related to consultancy related to
anything any company still my juniors
are finding my experience more
beneficial so this way I thought why I
can't collect the interviews of my
friends also who are getting placed in
it so we rolled out a form among my
friends and we collected their interview
experiences who were cracking the
interviews and that's how we managed to
collect first 10 20 interview
experiences and posted that online and
the kind of responses which we got I was
again amazed okay this data is seems to
be very useful to the Juniors then
slowly and steadily fast forwarding the
next three year four
years we kept on doing this thing uh a
on a ear on hour even after me passing
out for every year we kept on collecting
that data now how we did that is very
amazing process which we established now
that is something an entrepreneur does
the set ups Sops they set up systems so
that that one simple idea can be
executed at scale So currently on our
website I'll quickly try to show the
website as well if I
can I don't know how many of you
currently have been through our website
but uh this is a website and if you see
the interviews tab there are currently
eight colleges
listed so not only from taper we managed
to collect the interview experiences
across eight colleges and let's say I go
into taper where most of you I think are
today so in taper you can you can
clearly see there are lot of companies
mentioned so these are all the companies
which visit taper campus and let's say I
go any one of them let's say black rock
now these are list of all the students
who have cracked Black Rock
interview and you can see their names
you can see their Branch you can see
their
air and this interview basically is
their personal hand experience just like
when I shared my personal blog so the
these students have shared their Journey
interview
room and how they managed to prepare for
this campuses for example let's say we
go to Nikita man chanda's interview
experience you can see what profile was
offered what was a cgpa cut off and some
questions around what was a written test
what questions were asked what is the
procedure of the placement and then you
have to log in to read more questions
and that is how we manage to collect
currently there are 800 plus interview
experiences on our website across all
these
colleges and all this data is Free by
the way guys so you have like an
platform where you can
know interv room and what has been their
Journey how they prepared written
testr Tech everything is there and now
we are coming up with the AI chatbot
tool using which you can chat just like
chat GPT
and you can ask chat GPT type of a
module on WhatsApp like I want to
prepare for Deo interview exper deoy
company what are the top 10 tips so
those will come via our website because
there is so much data we manage to you
know run some algorithmic models on top
of it to present the data to you so that
you don't even have to go and read all
these interview even though I would
suggest you to read the interview but if
you quickly need the information you can
chat on WhatsApp also soon we'll be
launching that so this is one thing now
another is we have ump which is our
mentorship program now after the
interview data we still were getting lot
of inquiries from the students who
wanted more detailed explanation on the
resources on how should they prepare
they wanted handholding from the mentors
from the industry professionals that is
when I launched a mentorship program
worked really hard along with my team
vipul jatin so we have a team of around
seven eight people in unset talks and we
came up with this mentorship program
where we train the engineering students
so this training is provided by Pap Alum
so ragav Aroda he's two years senior To
Me japn is from my batch manik is my one
year senior so these way all the mentors
I have brought in from the industry who
are currently working in all these
organizations who love to mentor and
guide students and they give around six
to eight live sessions and in these
sessions basically they train the
students on how to crack the interview
now why this is impactful you need to
understand that because what you are
going through the Journey is not unique
right each of these people me my seniors
everyone has walked that path and if you
understand their Journey learn from
their mistake understand what they went
through and learn from their experience
you will save hell lot of your time you
will save wandering here and there and
you will save like your preparation will
be so focused that you'll be easily able
to crack today I share one very good
secret of my reason of cracking EXL the
secret was I knew two seniors who during
their time managed to crack their
interview of EXL and I used to call them
up and Bug them a
lot what happened in the interview how
you prepared I used to bug them like for
one month two months I took their kind
of a mentorship in in informal way not
in a formal structure like this is and
then they told me the kind of mindset I
have to carry in the interview
room like they used to tell me puzzles
aptitude is very important this is how
tips and tricks you have to do uh guess
estimates they ask and if you are not
able to solve any particular question
this is how you have to respond in the
interview so they told me so much in a
clear clear way that in the interview
even though there were people who were
smarter than me having more cgpa than I
was having still I managed to crack that
interview the clear reason for that was
I I was having support of my seniors who
guided me who told me the right way to
crack that interview so again from my
personal experience I build up this
product which is ump unset offs
mentorship program a two month program
where we train students so this is what
slowly in last four five years I managed
to you know step by step step by step
kept on building and bringing some
things like then we have uip which is a
program call it unset talks interview
program this is a free program for
students where we connect students to
their seniors and they go and interview
their
seniors okay so this is what I just
wanted to give you a quick idea about my
journey about unset talks so if anyone
of you is looking to crack the job
placement in your campus this is the
best resource to follow and
uh we are there to support you basically
in whatever way we can right so any
questions up till here guys I I don't
want me to keep on speaking if at any
time you want to ask me anything you
want to you know have any questions
coming up in mind or want me to speak on
certain aspect you can just type on the
chat I'm reading the chat right so I'll
move ahead guys so this has been my
journey of six years and now uh I like
to share some of the biggest learnings I
had which probably if I would have known
in uh my third year or fourth year
probably what I achieved in last six
years probably I might have achieved in
two years or three years probably but
anyways I I like to share that with you
guys so these are the five most
impactful lessons so if you follow these
Five Lessons which I am going to share I
assure you you will be able to take the
first step of your entrepreneurship
Journey guys are you guys with me just a
quick uh thumbs up if you guys can give
in the chat that would give me a signal
okay you people are
listening come on guys I I'll wait I'll
not proceed
further great great kushy thank you so
much thanks B thanks Angeli I can see
the reactions but I would prefer to if
you guys can give in the chat and is my
screen visible guys or it's
not great thanks quish thanks thanks
thanks manut good to see you are there
with
me uh am I visible because I feel
there's
some uh video is on right on
right okay great I think video went off
so let's proceed guys listen to me
carefully these five most impactful
lessons which will help you take the
first step in your entrepreneur Journey
the first is I think this is something
each of us Ponder and when I was in
third year when I was in fourth year I
used to think a lot about ideas but
today I'm going to tell you that
literally ideas are
worthless until you execute on those
ideas ideas are worthless you know when
I was in third year fourth
year like there were some people who
used to keep their ideas so secretive
even I had that kind of a thought at one
time IDE like at that time in college I
built campus kios which did nothing but
like OLX you must must have heard so it
was kind of a OLX for campus students so
I I I used to think this idea is very
unique nobody has implemented it but
I'll tell you there is no
idea in this world which nobody else has
given a thought to which you are
thinking of the world is too big
sometimes we like think like we are
smarter and we are very unique but that
is not the case once you enter the real
world you realize is there is always
smarter than you there is always someone
who is way way smarter and Way Beyond
your capabilities even Mukesh Amani
feels that Mark zerug Elon Musk are
probably way smarter than Mukesh Amani
right so there is always smarter than
you someone so you you can't be
like so the way ahead is you have to not
focus on the idea but focus on the
execution and idea should be something
which it can be anything it can be as
simple as it is don't think of
innovation right from the beginning it's
good if you are able to build I have
seen the outliers there are all
obviously the outliers are there but
that is like 0.1% guys who are able to
innovate at such a young age at third
year fourth year or just one year two
year three year in the industry right so
what I would recommend you guys is to
not think about any Innovative
idea if you can and if you think you can
execute no worries in that go ahead that
is good but even if you are not able to
think of an idea just take any idea in
the market and try to build it 2% 4% 5%
better than what is already there in the
market
simar there are already multiple
companies running for the same idea if
you notice there is Flipkart there is
Amazon there is myantra there's so many
they're doing the same thing but
everyone is doing in their own way
everyone has their own Nish right so you
have to focus on execution and taking
the first step you take unet talks now
Pary I will relate all these things with
my Venture that How I Learned you see my
idea is very simple it's not Innovative
idea it's just the execution which
matter like collecting 800 interviews of
the badge on badge on badge who are
passing out from the college now
somebody would say okay this is very
easy but you ask me you ask my team we
struggle a a lot in doing this and the
struggle is in whatever you do ideas
could be very simple and you have to
focus on execution so the way ahead is
you should have a vision of one year and
you need to set a goal achievable goal
like you have to write it on the paper
in next 6 months I want to achieve
this in next six months that should be
on
paper but you should have tasks for
today and for this coming
week that is a way you will take the
first step of your entrepreneurship this
is very important and I myself Wasted
Years in thinking thinking thinking I
don't want you guys to do because you
need to understand that there is no
revolutionary idea out there and you
just have to start with something and
then you can reiterate it and Innovation
at one time will automatically
happen
right let's move to Second
Point answer your own why now this is
very interesting and uh I don't know how
many of you have read so this I have
learned from a book called start with
why which was by Simon cynic and he
beautifully explained that how whatever
you do in life you have to answer the
why and this why should be your own why
not the why which is coming from the
society I will elaborate more in my next
step but you have to answer the why
entreprene you have to deeply think and
let the answer come from inside you have
to analyze whether is it coming because
of the society's expectations because
business people and the startup people
are kind of uh in Industry seen as the
idols right if that is the case probably
you need to rethink your why now in my
case I never buil unset
talks I would be invited to some event
right these things automatically happen
as you go along the journey you have to
focus on innate why and my why was like
my personality is such that I love to
mentor and guide students I love to
teach them in whatever possible way
either me directly teaching or by
building a platform where I connect the
students to some seniors and I see my
like would love to see my mentor my
mentees and the Juniors flourishing that
is because I innately enjoy that
somebody might enjoy somebody might not
enjoy but this is something who I am in
itally and probably that was the reason
I was able to continue building unset
talks for four five years despite
failing in it a lot during the
journey right so this is very important
you have to answer your own why think
and write on the paper don't don't just
think you have to write it down on the
piece of paper that why you want to
become on and it's completely okay if
you don't want to be an entrepreneur
first you go in the industry and see
what is happening in the industry what
is going on how companies are operating
I myself alongside the unet talks I
build parall but I never stopped
learning I worked in a startup I worked
in an MNC I took experience of both I
met different kind of people which I do
currently also and still I'm learning I
feel I'm just getting started in my life
so journey is very long
you have to keep patience and start
somewhere don't come into the thinking
paralysis so let's move to next
Point okay 10 minutes to end meeting
okay I'll quickly hurry up
there next next is guys disassociate
ourself from society's expectation guys
this is very very
important uh I myself struggle on this
even now and earlier I was struggling a
lot but now I have learned to you know
implement this in my life but you guys
have to take Decisions by disassociating
yourself from society's expectations
this is very important you don't have to
compare your journey with somebody
else's Journey you don't have to compare
yourself with Mark Zuckerberg you don't
have to compare yourself with anyone out
there because you don't know what they
have been through you don't know their
Journey what you read in news and what
you see on Instagram and what you see on
LinkedIn is just the success stories you
don't see their failures you don't see
their uh hard work which they have put
on so success is always public but
failures are
private you need to understand that
right so always compare your current
self with your past self not with others
this is very important and if you are
able to implement this in your life I am
telling you you will become
Unstoppable and you have to understand
yourself that is very very
important if you see any successful
people you will notice that all
successful people are highly
self-aware right so try to disass
yourself from society's
expectations this I don't know how much
to uh emphasize on this point but you
have to learn to sell and as an engineer
and I have struggled in doing this as an
engineer we learn to build and we rarely
learn to sell but selling is as
important as
building sell anything I would say start
any small business start t-shirt selling
business in your campus like I'm sure
many societies need t-shirts why should
they order online why don't you build
something locally put a stall go go in
the hostel rooms and sell pitch your
idea how your t-shirt is better than
other companies how your t-shirt is
cheaper than other companies how the
designing also you can give them work on
very basic ideas you will notice you
will be amazed that okay even this thing
doing like just selling t-shirt takes an
effort and that will be your rear
learning so you have to fight your own
self uh limiting beliefs and Conquer
your limitations because selling is not
easy guys you as an entrepreneur you
have to sell your ideas to your family
you have to sell your ideas to your
investors you have to sell your idea to
your employees you have to sell your
belief you have to sell your product to
the market so essentially as an
entrepreneur yes you are a builder but
you are
also will
fail excellent lesson to keep in mind as
an engineer and highly highly important
lesson which I learned very very late it
took me like four years before I
generated one penny from unset talks
just because I didn't know how to sell
and how to generate revenue from a
business I was good at building probably
but I was not good at
selling this is something I learned from
Grand Gardon I don't know how many of
you know but he talks about this 10x
Rule and I Implement try to implement
this in my personal life a lot so what
10x rule says that you have to put 10
times effort of whatever you
do at the end of the day guys you you
need to understand that effort is
everything and that is only in your
hands whatever as I mentioned earlier
whatever success stories you see of
others their Journeys you see their
success but you don't see their failures
like how much effort they have put in I
have met in last one one to two years
lot of successful people and I'll tell
you the journeys of everyone is almost
same they have been bashed by the
society they have been bashed by their
families others were not trusting them
others were doubting them but ultimately
they thrived they thrived they thrived
until the whole world B down to
them so effort guys the more action you
take the better your chances are of
getting lucky many of times I heard
people say he went lucky Mark zakar went
lucky or any other person you see he
just went lucky it's not you can't say
that guys he increased his chances of
luck by putting in more
efforts right so effort is something
is in your hands and which only you can
put and especially when you are on the
Journey of building your own company
probably you have to put 10x efforts of
everyone who is working along with
you
right so this is it guys I wanted to
share the five most impactful lessons of
my journey of unset talks and one quote
I want to share your network is your net
worth as an engineer probably we don't
understand this
uh but guys you need to understand that
the people who you know matters a lot in
your professional life so start building
your relations and that is what I have
inculcated in my unset talks platform
also if you join unset talks mentorship
program if you become part of any of our
events you will understand that you are
essentially building a network with the
industry professionals and the
mentors
right so try to build your network
interact with more and more people with
your seniors with industry people talk
to more and people and you will
understand lot of
things so this is it guys uh now over to
uh you guys if you have any questions
guys I would love to have your questions
anything you want me to talk about
anything you want to go me to deeper any
questions you have you are free to type
in the chat and I'll quickly take up few
questions uh gagan ma'am over to you as
well I think it 12 to
uh
yes thank you ragab for me I think this
was this was a very good session very
interactive session and uh students they
had a lot to take away from the session
those who missed actually they missed
something especially the final year
students I uh did tell them keep it in
mind the theme because unset talks.com
is all about what you people need the
support you people need so
they those those who have actually
benefited really they would appreciate
that and otherwise also as a
entrepreneur what is the journey how to
start with that was a major takeaway so
for me it was a very very wonderful
session yes students uh if anybody has
any questions you can please ask
otherwise we would like to end
this you can unmute yourself ask the
question yes and I can see there are
almost 45 plus participants and uh I'm
sure there might be one or two questions
coming up in your head feel free to uh
ask
guys so I assume no no questions that's
okay that is also very important thing
that we need to be curious to learn to
actually benefit from something so
anyways it was very very very uh good
interacting with you very good listening
to you and it gives me immense pleasure
because you are some something we were
involved associated with so teaching you
but we really feel proud of you today uh
rather he didn't talk about but he has
he a co-founder of another Enterprise
also so he's doing really great and we
wish to see you in a young CEOs in the
future thank you so much and we'll keep
uh getting in touch with you getting
regularly bringing you for more
mentoring sessions with these students
thank you so much and all the best for
your future thank you thank you so much
ma'am thank you for this thank you for
this opportunity thank you thank you
everyone bye feel free to get in touch
with me guys thank you
ma'am
