Transcripts
I've made quite a few videos about genin
impact's poor relationship with the
players bad rewards followed by greedy
Antics all of those videos were
Justified and most of the comments
agreed with my points but there's still
a few people who heavily disagreed that
aside however the main point of all of
those videos pointed out my
disappointment with how genin impact was
ran their greed knew no bounds and it
was frustrating me for the four years
that I followed this game it was getting
more and more frustrating by the day it
started off with small minor things that
I thought could be improved but the game
was still pretty fun but then it ended
up boiling up into a Cess pool of
that I just couldn't deal with anymore
there was no other game that could
compete with gench and impact so despite
my frustration I kept playing because
hey genin impact was still fun on June
25th just under two months ago I posted
a video about how I would not be
spending any more money on the game I
wouldn't be a part of the cash cow that
is hoob burst I was a dolphin and I've
spent quite a bit on this game as a
whole and when my welon ran out I lost
the urge to actually play the game I've
taken a long break since then and I've
been logging in once a week to just do
events and clear spiral Abyss the thing
is withering waves has opened my eyes to
a broader spectrum of gaming and I
played many open world games and they
were all fun to an extent but G impact
was beginning to become boring after
being refreshed by Wu's gameplay going
back to genin felt wrong ever since Wu's
release genin has been steadily adding
more and more quality of life to match
wering and with the release of not land
it was truly genin's last chance to make
a change or they would Fall Into
Obscurity and boy oh boy the 5.0 live
stream happened and I cannot deny the
fact that they did indeed deliver I'm
void Enigma and I'll be going over how I
was wrong about genin impact this game
can indeed change and they won't just
stay stuck to the ways forever now when
I say I was wrong I didn't mean that my
previous videos were invalid or all of
my previous points were wrong quite the
opposite in fact I am saying that I was
wrong to think that hoob burst would
never adapt to a new process of handling
rewards and genin impact and taking care
of feedback there are still so many
things wrong with genin impact but no
game is perfect there's an influx in
banners and Shena still hasn't even
rerun like kaha is back again Ryden is
back again and Shena and ganu they're
just sitting in purgatory and I guess
they're never going to escape from that
until hoyo decides to weave them back
into existence I've always said that
competition will spark change for genion
impact and they finally started to make
their game better from the ground up but
is it too late the frustration has
reached its peak for longtime players a
long time ago and waiting 5 years to
address the issues leaves a bad taste in
many people's mouth
I know a few people who have stayed from
genin since 1.0 and when I asked them
how they felt about these changes they
said the exact same thing too late genin
has a steady influx of players and the
early players who played from the
beginning have all moved on to the game
from this point of course there are
still a ton of dedicated players who
have played since day one but the
excitement for the game is going to be
at an alltime low for those players they
won't really be dedicated to doing
everything like they did when they first
started the game so the question is why
do they wait so long they could have
implemented all of these changes during
the first anniversary maybe the second
maybe even the third but they didn't
they strategically chose to update the
change to the Gat system and give out
free characters at this moment it's
almost like the old saying quit beating
the dead horse they've gotten all they
could out of the old weapon ban and old
anniversary rewards and perhaps they
finally saw that they were losing
traction and player activity with the
racism Scandal and the complete and
utter lack of player reception players
would inevitably stop playing this game
there are many other gacha games that
are being released on the regular to
compete with the Giant and wering waves
has been the go-to game for many players
who were tired of hoyo they finally
decided to actually take a look at their
game and see how they can improve and
they finally implemented strategy Z
their last protocol protocol
give a money has always been their
motivation for anything and using the
player's Agony as a medium for achieving
this goal was a mere step in the process
I've seen many people who are at two out
of two on the epitomized path for the
weapon Banner with no hope of getting
that weapon how do you think they feel
now that this has been changed they have
thrown away over 160 wishes completely
wasted gone to the void and now you're
easily telling me that I could used
those same amount of wishes and
guarantee that weapon that I wasted all
of my time farming saving or even paying
money for like what about those people
who pulled on kazah ha's weapon Banner
years ago on any of his first runs this
example was something that happened to
my wife the last time that she spent
money on genin impact was during kaha
Second rerun about 2 years ago she
wasted
$300 trying to get the sword she went to
pity 70 plus each time and after the
first 100 she fell for the sunken cost
fallacy and instead of just throwing
away the money and not getting the
weapon she eventually was forced to get
the weapon she has not topped up
since they made these changes because
they finally realized that they were
falling behind the decline of cleric
interactions the decline of sales who
knows they probably anticipated that
they should finally after 5 years
re-evaluate their Pro towards genin
impact I am wondering if upper
management of genin impact has changed
because this seems to be way way too
generous like come on generous hoyo
those things just don't mix the biggest
change is the update to the event Banner
they have made a long- winded convoluted
post about these changes but all of this
means is one thing the new Consolidated
odds for the event Banner is
5545 I don't know why they made it so
complicated essentially how it works is
if you lose a 50/50 you have a 10%
chance of not losing the 50/50 thus the
odds of you getting the limited
character have been slightly increased
again this Consolidated chance which
means the overall chance of you winning
a 50/50 has been increased to 55%
instead of being 50/50 so let me know if
my math is mathing because that's what
makes sense to me here as someone who
has lost every 50/50 getting C6 Shia and
then lost every 50/50 in Fontaine
besides the ones for father yeah my
50/50 win rate is abysmally low overall
I don't think that it's too late for me
personally I will have to see how hoyo
evolves from here on they were dragging
their feet for so long but maybe genin
will now get the attention that it
deserves as I have stated many times
Innovation is made when competition
exists so these are the first steps in
that process this is a good actually a
great thing for the overall lifespan of
the game but with that being said am I
excited for notl well no I'll still
stick with the game and I'll play it
when I actually feel like playing it but
treating this game with something that I
play once a week instead of once per day
has been a liberating experience we will
see if Hoya will ever win back my trust
to actually play this game but this is a
step in the right direction the step
that many people have been waiting for I
am going to pull for mulani cuz shark
girl seems fun but I did hear she got
nerfed a few times so we'll have to see
how that really works I will be making a
pre-analysis for her so stay tuned for
that in the next few days go ahead and
like this video if you found it
entertaining or enjoyable and go ahead
and subscribe for more withering waves
and gench and impact content in the
future until next time enigma out
