hey what's up guys welcome to another

episode of pan the organizer today I'm

going to show you how to clean and

detail the interior of your car from top

to bottom I'll be giving tips and tricks

for beginners enthusiasts and car

detailing professionals as well also if

you guys want to do a deeper dive into

any one of the topics that I discussed

today note that I have a bunch of

tutorials on my channel so feel free to

browse through my catalog of videos

right after this video also uh note that

I'll leave links to all the tools

products and equipment in the

description under the video for you guys

to check them out so all you have to do

is sit back relax and enjoy the show so

let's dig right into it the first order

of business is to First remove any trash

or Garbage from your vehicle put that in

a trash bag remove all of that stuff

declutter your workspace and also remove

any personal items put those in a

separate bag so you can put them back at

their original place right after you're

done detailing so so you want to have no

hindrance when you're doing your

detailing work right so the next order

of business is going to remove the floor

mats so we have typically rubber floor

mats and carpeted floor mats so two uh

ways of doing that we're going to clean

those because later on in the detail you

want to have enough time for the mats to

dry so you might as well start by

cleaning those at the beginning you're

going to see in this video I'm giving

you sort of my way of doing things so

after over 26 years of detailing at this

point the rubber floor mats very simple

there are products now that do both

cleaning and rejuvenating your floor

mats like this McKees 37 floor mat and

cargo liner rejuvenator basically you're

going to hose your floor mat down then

once you're done rinsing it you're going

to spray this generously on the surface

let it dwell for roughly 30 seconds

you're going to take a stiff bristle

brush you're going to brush that and

rinse again and you're going to dry it

either blot it with a microfiber towel

or you can use a little car dryer or a

leaf blower or whatever you guys want to

remove the water and let those dry up

and you're going to have rejuvenated the

look so it's actually very very simple

next for carpeted mats this is where it

gets a bit different so you're going to

want to spray either an all-purpose

cleaner diluted for interior use so

typically one to ten one to twenty read

the instructions of the specific one

you're using there's one that I really

like from koshemi it's green star These

Are alkaline cleaners all-purpose

cleaners typically and again you're

going to dilute this one to ten to one

to twenty or there are dedicated carpet

cleaners that you can use if you have

some heavier stains that you want to

remove for example the pns carpet bomber

so this is a carpet and upholstery

cleaner so the first order of business

is always to vacuum up the floor mats

first the carpeted floor mats to remove

the majority of the loose dirt and

debris and once that's done you're going

to spray your all-purpose cleaner or

your carpet cleaner generously on the

surface and you have the option so

there's always a entry level tips and

tricks for beginners and then we can

move up the cleaning potential or

efficiency or performance of our

cleaning for enthusiasts and

professionals so you're going to rub the

microfiber towel so I like to use the

rag company edgeless 300 towels for

interior use they have just the right

thickness that I need and they do a

great job at cleaning they're available

they also have their Terry towels that

are very good again I'll leave links to

all of that stuff so you can just rub

your microfiber towel on top of the

cleaner and blot that away and that's

going to do a good job or the you can

use a carpet and upholstery brush to

brush the the fibers and again you're

going to blot with the microfiber towel

when you're done or you can use a drill

brush attachment so this is the white

one so it's a softer brush and you're

going to attach this to your cordless

drill and then you go to town so you

spray the cleaner on the carpet you're

going to use the drill brush attachment

so that's going to further do a deeper

clean of your carpets and you can either

blot that up with a microfiber towel

when you're done or you can use an

extractor so you're going to inject some

warm or hot liquid inside there

typically just water and you can use

also sometimes they have extractor

specific cleaners that you can put into

your tank so it shoots the liquid out

and sucks it right back in thanks to a

vacuum that's also included in there and

you're basically extracting all that

dirt and basically well you're all done

after that you can use a steam cleaner

as well if you have that there are

multiple tools that you can use to do

the job so basically what you're doing

is you're cleaning removing all of that

stuff and once you're done with your

carpeted mats you're going to want to

protect them with what we call typically

a fabric guard a fabric protectant to

make them repellent and easier to clean

during your maintenance washes something

like Car Pro sequence fabric 2.0 there's

also 303 fabric guard there's a bunch of

different um fabric protectors because

the goal in this video as you're going

to see we're going to clean the surfaces

and we're also going to protect them you

can also use for your carpeted mats a

lot of people like a pressure washer so

you can just pressure rinse all of that

Gunk off you're going to spray your

cleaner or your APC you're going to

brush that in or use the drill brush

attachment once again you can again

rinse with your pressure washer and let

that air dry next the door jambs those

unsightly areas when they're dirty well

it's all the better when you get to

clean them and detail them properly but

basically you're going to use your

pressure washer you're going to pressure

rinse all of that off you're going to

spray an all-purpose cleaner on the

surface and you can use an assortment of

different detailing brushes to get into

the nooks and crannies you're going to

flush that away and while it's still wet

you can use a spray-on rinse off sealant

that you're going to spray on the

surface immediately rinse off again and

it's going to add a bit of protection

and hydrophobic properties making the

cleanings a lot easier in the future

less dirt accumulates and it makes

everything much quicker and simpler to

clean once you're done with the door

jams and door Sills don't forget your

trunk jams as well so any area basically

where you open and close doors they all

require attendance you can also use a

steam cleaner on the trunk jams and door

jambs and door Sills as well use a

microfiber towel you can steam the

surface and then just wipe away and

that's also good if it's not too dirty

or if you want to have a bit more

cleaning power if you have a lot of

caked on dirt you can use that steam

cleaner for an increase in performance

also in your steam cleaner you can add

half an ounce to about an ounce in the

container of a rinseless wash like onr

for example so that really bumps up the

cleaning potential in there and always

use distilled water by the way in the

tanks of your of your steam cleaners

that's very important if you want to

keep it operating for a very long time

without any issues so if you have any

stains on your Headliners be very very

gentle with those you're going to spray

either an all-purpose cleaner or a

fabric cleaner usually it's a spot

treatment because there's only one or

two spots that might be a bit dirty on

your headliner and you're going to be

very light on your application you don't

want to over saturate your headliner

because there's a glue that sticks the

headliner to the roof and you don't want

that glue to separate and your headliner

to start sagging so never over saturate

your surface a few light Mists you're

going to take a detailing brush you're

going to gently brush that out you're

going to blot with a microfiber towel

and there you go usually that takes care

of the majority of stuff

next we're going to start dusting the

interior for that purpose there's a few

different tools I like to use detailing

brushes with soft tips so these tips

will not scratch any interior Surface by

the way so they're made even for gloss

Plastics you want to get into all the

nooks and crannies you can get into

those air vents as well so yeah you're

going to start dusting your dash your

door cards at the center console area

even the steering wheel get into the

nooks and crannies once again and remove

all that dust and of course the dust is

going to fall on the ground whatever

you're collecting if you want to help

the dusting use your vacuum so have the

vacuum nozzle close to your tip when

you're dusting and push all of that dust

into the nozzle itself it's going to

suck out the majority of the Dust itself

but whatever falls on the floor no

matters because we're going to follow up

with the vacuuming of the interior for

the vents you can use some vent little

brushes like this so these are little

brown brushes that allow you to pick up

all the dust and dirt within the vents

if you guys have an air compressor a

tool that I really really like is the

tornador air blowout tool so this

connects to your air pressure and just

blows out some air and this tool here

just spins around and helps to lift all

that dust from the nooks and crannies

especially in the seeds the seams of

your seats the underneath your seats the

rails of the seats and all that kind of

stuff the center console even inside the

air vents to clean pretty much any

surface as well on the interior of your

vehicle you can get something like this

tornadoor Max tool so this one here is

their range topping tool because it's

not only a blowout gun you can select

just the function to blow some air out

just like their regular blowout tool but

it also comes with this container you

can put an enzyme cleaning solution in

there so very gentle solution to clean

basically any interior surface so if you

have an air compressor you hook it up

and then you're blowing that cleaning

solution you're wiping with your

microfiber towel and that's it this is

for those of you who want to have more

efficiency and speed when you're

cleaning the surface and also get deeper

into the nooks and crannies in more

hidden or difficult to access areas the

tornado Max is something fantastic to

have for the air vents there are some

cleaning compounds that exist so it's

kind of like a gel substance that also

disinfects the surfaces very often and

they take or you can mold them into the

shape of whatever you apply them to for

example the air vents it's going to pick

up the dirt the grime and the dust and

yeah it just does a great job so you can

use that too many different tools are

available next we're going to vacuum the

interior so use a good vacuum and just

pull everything out of course don't

forget also pull the seats apart a bit

and you're going to see those seams

those cracks get into those if you have

leather seats just be careful don't put

the nozzle too close to the seed surface

you don't want to scratch or damage the

leather surface another trick that I

like to do is to take a sandpaper and

sand the tip of the the vacuum tip

itself so that way it becomes very soft

and there's no Jagged edges that might

scratch any surface should you

accidentally hit the the leather surface

if case may be so vacuum all the the

nooks the crannies of course underneath

the seats move the seeds back and forth

right to have access to all the carpeted

floor mats if you have fabric seats

vacuum those as well basically vacuum

every surface inside your vehicle now

you don't have to do a hundred percent

clean job right away because at the end

when all is said and done we're going to

come back with a final vacuum to make

sure we pick up any leftover residue

that you might have done in the

following steps in the detail as well

also if you have some pets right if you

or if you're a professional retailer and

you have a customer come in they might

have some pet hair in the vehicle there

are some tools like this fur eel Pro 2.

so this is a tip basically that attaches

to the end of your vacuum and it has

these brushes at the end that are are

kind of made of this rubbery material so

this helps to pull all the pet hair

another one that I like a lot is the

Lily pet hair brush so it it's kind of

made card format so super Compact and it

has this pliable rubber tips and you

basically collect the um the pet hair

and you're going to suck it up in your

vacuum and that's it you're good to go

so again there are some simple tools and

solutions now to any problem that you

might encounter when you're detailing

the interior of your car next we're

going to do or attack the dash the door

cards the center console basically any

Plastics or that kind of a material

rubberized material perhaps as well in

your vehicle we're going to clean and

protect now you have the option if the

vehicle is very very dirty or has never

been detailed before you can use a

separate cleaner like the pns express

interior cleaner that you can also

dilute one to one with water for this

one specifically if you want to I just

use it neat undiluted from the bottle

for stronger performance and once you're

done cleaning the surfaces you're going

to protect them one of the ones that I

like a lot 303 protectant also known as

303 aerospace protectant it's basically

going to give you just a natural Sheen

so none of that glossy greasy stuff that

we don't like because that can be

dangerous right when you're driving if

you have a light bouncing off a very

oily shiny substance on the dash you

don't want that so this is OEM finish

and it's going to give you UV protection

or nowadays there are a lot of products

that do both cleaning and protecting so

to save some time and they still do a

great job so for some lighter cleaning

duties or so for protection if you want

UV as well and to have that matte

appearance or a very slight sheen but

still an oem look right uh there's this

new pns Swift so it cleans and it shines

as well and there's also Car Pro inner

QD this also has antimicrobial and

anti-static properties so less dust is

going to cling on your surface as a

great scent as well and for cleaning you

can use your detailing brushes and

there's also some pads some cleaning

pads that I really like like this scrub

ninja pad so it has on one side

microfiber backing and on the front it

has kind of like these soft bristles

it's not going to scratch any surface

and it's perfect for deep cleaning your

leather your vinyl even your dash your

door cards all that kind of stuff if you

want a deeper clean this does the trick

a lot and Car Pro also has their inner

scrub mitt again with that same kind of

microfiber plastic material I don't know

how they call it but they're super super

efficient so if it's like a glove and

this is perfect for scrubbing larger

areas like leather seats again vinyl

seats that kind of stuff big dashboards

so it does a deeper clean

if all you want is a very light

maintenance a just light cleaning duties

but no protection added note that

there's also things like the Geon

interior detailer this is very very good

by the way on gloss black surfaces that

piano black trim on infotainment

displays as well this does a great job

doesn't leave any streaking behind and

it flashes or evaporates very quickly so

this does a great job at that light

sanitation included the next thing is

going to be addressing all the touch

points including the shift knob but

mainly also the steering wheel remember

your hands touch that all day long and

accumulates germs bacteria Grime body

oils and all that kind of stuff so you

want to address that so again just like

any leather surface or vinyl surface

typically you can consider vinyl like

leather so use the same cleaners and

protectants for both that's no problem a

product that I like a lot if you have a

leather if you have vinyl even on

textiles even Alcantara there's this

koshemi pole star this here is a CH

neutral cleaner made for interior

surfaces you would dilute this anywhere

from one to five to one to twenty you

can put it in a spray bottle you can

even put it in a small foaming container

so I diluted here for example one to

five in this foaming pump sprayer here

so I like to use that to clean leather

surfaces I'll take a leather brush so

specifically made for leather and vinyl

like this color lock brush this will not

damage your leather surfaces so you put

a bit of that foam on there and you go

to town you start scrubbing the surface

you can also use these scrub pads that

we showed before

so you're going to clean these surfaces

multiple applications might be needed by

the way depending on the grime level so

it's better to do multiple light

applications than one heavy application

you're using less product for cleaners

by the way anytime you use an

all-purpose cleaner or an interior

cleaner when you're done cleaning the

surface come back with a second damp

microfiber towel that's just damp with a

bit of water and neutralize the cleaners

on the surface especially with alkaline

cleaners like the all-purpose cleaner we

showed at the beginning you always want

to neutralize that cleaner when you're

done cleaning the specific surface so

keep that in mind it's just a pro tip

that way you're not reactivating the

dirt and you're actually pulling out all

the chemicals when you're done cleaning

with them so you're going to clean your

leather you're going to dry it out of

course neutralize it with a damp towel

then you dry it and then you come back

with some leather protection something

like this leather star here again this

is from koshemi this works super well

it's more of a liquid so you would apply

this on a foam applicator spread it on

the surface you're going to come with a

clean and dry towel and remove any

excess off and you can also do

perforated ventilated leather seats with

this because contrary to creams that can

clog some of the pores from the

ventilated and cooled leather seats this

one here will just apply very thin on

the surface it's not going to clog none

of those pores and it's going to give

you a bit of that protection making

cleanup of the leather surfaces a lot

easier so this I really like as a combo

for leather and vinyl steering wheels

Works super well we're going to clean

the seats now if you have leather seats

you can use once again pole star and

leather star or another company that I

really like that's dedicated to leather

cleaning is Geist I have a full review

of their products on my channel I showed

how to use them as well so they have a

two-part system if you have leather

that's less than three years of age and

they have a three part system if it's

more than three years so this one here

is their rapid leather and vinyl cleaner

in spray for form you spray on you wipe

with your towel and you're done and then

they have the second part which is the

protection the dye and friction blocker

so this one here does everything

including uh while protecting your

leather make it easier to clean protect

against friction damage die transfer all

the stuff that can give some wear and

tear on the leather this is going to

help protect against that so go ahead

and do your leather seats if you have

fabric seats by the way this is where

you'd come back in right remember we had

the carpet and upholstery cleaner from a

pns they also have another one depending

on what type of stain it is sometimes

it's an organic stain sometimes it's

inorganic it depends they have a Duo

here so the Terminator which is an

enzyme spot and stain cleaner and of

course the carpet bomber so you can use

both and you can even overlay one on top

of the other I'll have a full tutorial

if it's not already available on my

channel the three-part system because

once you're done using these on your

surface you come back with the finisher

so this one here is a peroxide treatment

from pns basically a neutralizer for the

cleaners that you use you always want to

clean but neutralize the chemicals at

the end so you would spray this on your

on your seats and you can use your

carpet and upholstery brush if you want

to do it manually so this would work

just like we did for the carpeted floor

mats you can use a microfiber towel for

some manual agitation and again if you

have a drill brush why not use your

drill brush attachment and if you have

an extractor you would finish up by

extracting all of that and doing a deep

clean again it always depends on the

dirt level of your vehicle so you adjust

the cleaning power or the tools that you

need according to how dirty the surfaces

are what you're going to do now you

guessed it is going to apply a fabric

protector once again carpro Secrets

fabric 2.0 the 303 fabric guard whatever

you guys prefer basically you're going

to protect the Upholstery and makes it

easier to clean during your future

washes it kind of gives it also

hydrophobic properties so any liquid

spills are much easier to clean and to

pick up a lot of them also have UV

protection like this one here it also is

very a low VOC and quick drying so

that's always some good stuff right so

again we cleaned and protected the

leather or vinyl seats the same goes for

your upholstery if you have those kinds

of seats

so next what we're going to do now is

going to clean the petals whether you're

a manual with three petals or an

automatic with two petals it doesn't

matter what we want is to clean all of

that up now you can use your all-purpose

cleaner that you diluted you're going to

spray that generously a quick Pro tip

put a microfiber towel underneath the uh

the pedals that way all that disgusting

liquid is going to fall on the towel and

not on your carpets right so uh yeah

quick Pro tip once again so you're going

to spray your cleaner you can also use

something like the interior detailer if

you want or an APC whatever cleaner you

guys want and go to town with either a

detailing brush or another quick Pro tip

you can use an old toothbrush so to get

in all the nooks and crannies and the

intricate design sometimes that we find

on the petals these work super well and

then you're just going to wipe with your

microfiber towel and you're done do not

apply any dressing on the towels safety

tip right you don't want a slippery

surface on the petals it is crucial the

same goes for your rubber floor mats if

you noticed we used the clean cleaner

and rejuvenator at the beginning this is

a non-slippery Surface so again key for

your safety guys don't apply any form of

dressing on their silicone base or that

kind of stuff on the carpets now we're

going to spray the carpet cleaner

because of course all your vehicle has

carpeted surfaces everywhere so we're

going to be using the same as for our

Fabric and upholstery or the carpeted

floor mat so we're going to be using a

carpet and upholstery cleaner you can

pick whichever you guys uh whichever

product you want from any brand I really

like the pns Terminator and carpet

bomber again a Duo for any type of

stains you spray you either brush or use

a microfiber towel or a drill brush

attachment whatever you guys want it's

going to help remove all of that and

when you're done with your system from

pns again you're going to finish with

the finisher peroxide treatment this not

only neutralizes all this stuff but also

has a pleasant deodorizing capability as

well so it's going to smell nice and

fresh or you can use an extractor when

you're done using the chemicals to pull

all of that out so especially if you

have some very dirty mats you can use a

steam cleaner once again right and then

blot with a microfiber towel or you come

in with an extractor to inject all that

liquid pull it right back out thanks to

the suction function and that's it

that's for a very deep clean so your

mats are your sorry your carpets inside

your vehicle now are not only clean but

they're fresh they're amazing and

they're going to look a lot better of

course the same applies to Upholstery

and your carpeted floor mats once you're

done cleaning your carpets you want to

apply a fabric protectant again fabric

2.0 by card Pro or the 303 fabric guard

this one here says it's also safe for

outdoor Fabrics but you can use it on

the interior so these ones here are

going to make future cleanups a lot

easier because that's one of the entire

purposes as well of the steps that we do

is not only clean the surface but

protect it and make everything easier

for your maintenance if you're on top of

your game and you do an interior

cleaning say once every three to four

weeks or buy monthly if you want to

stretch it out that much your cleanings

are going to be a lot easier right guys

one of the final steps but not the final

step is going to to be to clean the

glass now a lot of people just use a

glass cleaning towel which is important

low linting and a low nap so use a

dedicated glass towel but some will jump

to just use a glass cleaner now note

that even a high quality one like the

stoner invisible glass these are meant

more as finishers usually glass

especially the interior of the vehicle

has a lot of fumes that accumulate and

that comes from the outgassing of your

interior materials so the Plastics the

vinyls the leather uh the rubber all

that kind of stuff the carpets even on

the interior of your vehicle all those

surfaces they emit this kind of gas or

fume and all that chemistry or those

chemicals they accumulate on the inside

glass and you're going to get a bit of

that glare or you're going to feel

there's kind of a film there when you're

driving especially in inclement weather

at night when it's raining you feel like

there's this fume it's not perfectly

Crystal Clear well you need to degrease

the surface before so to do that you can

use a scrub pad with either a magic

eraser do not use a magic eraser on

tinted film right if your windows are

tinted on the inside don't use a magic

eraser on that but if you have just

normal glass with no tin film you can

use a Degreaser an all-purpose cleaner

as well if you remember we diluted that

so you can use the APC spray it on the

glass and use that scrub pad or the

Magic Eraser to scrub the surface or you

can use some Dawn dishwashing liquid

diluted in some warm water and you use

either a microfiber towel or they have a

special clean and reach tool especially

for the inside part of the windshield to

reach all the corners it's kind of a

wedge kind of tool so that is going to

degrease the surface you're going to

squeegee the excess out and dry it up

and then you're going to follow up by

cleaning your glass so by degreasing the

surface first either with dishwashing

liquid diluted in warm water or again an

all-purpose cleaner you're fully

removing any of that outgassing

off-gassing the interior oils or films

that might have accumulated it's also

going to prevent fogging a lot more from

the interior so you're not going to get

as much fog as you normally would

because all that moisture likes to stick

to dirt and grime so if you're

degreasing the surface first you're

going to get HD Crystal Clear high

definition Looking Glass then you're

going to follow up with your finisher so

the glass cleaner always use an ammonia

free glass cleaner which is safe on

tinted windows if you have tinted film

so again one of my favorite glass

cleaners the stoner invisible glass this

leaves no streaks and is going to give

just that nice Final Touch on your glass

also a quick Pro tip when you're doing

the windows of the doors open the doors

lower the windows a bit you're going to

want to pinch your towel on the upper

part of that window to remove that dirt

and grime quick Pro tip those are areas

people often forget when they're

cleaning their Windows you can also do

your interior vanity mirrors when you're

pulling down your sun visors so you can

take care of those with the glass

cleaner as well

uh okay now we're done with all the

steps we're going to do a last final

touch up with the vacuum so whatever

other dirt you might have pulled in uh

if you accidentally stepped with your

your feet inside there or while you were

dusting or cleaning some part of the

Interior maybe a more dirt got knocked

down onto the surface of the carpets

you're going to want to do a final

checkup and go around do a once over

just a final quick uh thing with your

your vacuum so that's going to be uh

yeah pretty simple and it's going to

give that nice A little Finishing Touch

and before we leave the last touch to

leave a lasting impression is to use an

air freshener now use whatever scent you

like there's one company that stands out

for me because they last longer than

traditional air fresheners is platinum

potions they're out of the um they're

out of Australia and this one here a few

spritzes on your carpets and floor mats

and you're going to be good to go this

is one of my favorite scents by the way

Jungle Juice again check the links in

the description but they have so many

different tastes for sure or smells

should I say You're going to find the

scent that's perfect for you another

quick Pro tip if you want your spray

sense or your air fresheners to last a

little longer is start the vehicle up

make sure of course you're in a well

ventilated space or when you wait until

you're outside to do it so start the

vehicle up turn the AC on into air

recirculating mode so for the air to be

recirculated in the vehicle crank it up

to the maximum and near the footwells on

the driver and passenger side you're

going to spray one or two spritzes and

that air is going to be sucked up right

into the system is going to coat a bit

of the interior of the air ducts

themselves so every time you turn on

your AC from now on for the next few

weeks you should have that nice scent or

fragrance coming into the vehicle so

that is a quick Pro tip that not many

people know about again guys I'll leave
