before cute we had a lot of crusty
software it was really difficult to be
able to reach all of our customers that
we wanted to without a cross-platform
strategy there's a huge segment of
creative types who want to work with
their data who were unable to because we
weren't able to have a single UI
codebase across all different platforms
if we have one particular UI codebase if
we get to write once and run everywhere
we get to cut down our maintenance costs
and we get to go expand out to all of
our customers who are using Mac and who
are using Windows so that way we get to
expand out our business while keeping
all of our maintenance costs below what
we had before on only one platform so we
don't have to think about pixels and
about moving a button this way in that
way instead we get to deliver real
innovation real innovation in the data
space things of natural language
processing things of smart forecasting
were able to take our brainpower and now
actually put them to higher value tasks
tableaus recently purchased an
enterprise contract with QT and the
reason that we did is we wanted to
double down we believe cute gives us the
expressiveness and the the speed of a
native UI framework with a very low
maintenance cost and a nice support
network behind us so the future of
tableau and QT looked very similar
together and that's because we believe
that cute will help us further our
mission by providing the best user
experience for our customers
