no idea how to stand out on linkedin
well in this video i'm going to share my
exact framework for building a personal
brand on linkedin in less than one month
and yes linkedin does not sound as sexy
as instagram or tick tock and i get it
it looks boring when compared to other
social platforms but linkedin scores
much higher on another dimension people
don't go to linkedin to watch viral
dances or cat videos they go there with
a specific mindset of doing business of
connecting with engaging people and
finding what they are looking for and
this is where you come into the scene
and in this video you will learn my
framework for building leveraging and
amplifying your personal brand on
linkedin and these were the exact steps
i took to build a personal brand on
linkedin in less than one month and if
you haven't subscribed yet to the
channel make sure you do so and hit the
bell to receive notifications of new
videos about marketing branding and
business my framework is called the link
framework and it covers everything you
need to build your personal brand and to
begin with let's clarify what exactly is
the link framework the l stands for lyft
and literally it means engaging with
other people's content to lift your
brand the i stands for improve and it
just highlights the importance of
improving your linkedin profile to be
found in search the n stands for network
so you are going to leverage linkedin to
build a very relevant and targeted
network and the c stands for create so
create engaging content to leverage your
personal brand on linkedin so let's
start with lyft now linkedin instagram
facebook are social platforms and they
are called social platforms for a reason
so if you want to build your personal
brand on linkedin or any other social
platform you need to engage with other
people's content and this took me a bit
of time to make peace with because i
don't like to spend all day long on
social media but the truth is you don't
need to in fact with less than 30
minutes a day you can easily interact
and engage with other people's content
on linkedin and start building your
reputation your authority and most
importantly connections and in order to
engage with other people's content to
also lift my brand i follow a very easy
framework that i'm going to teach you
now so the first step is making a list
of 15 top accounts in your niche or
industry and this should be accounts
that are active that is these people
should be daily posting content on
linkedin or also engaging with other
people's content and the second step is
simply to bookmark their profiles on
your web browser so you make it much
simpler for you every single day to go
onto their profiles and the third step
is you want to go to these profiles
every single day and leave a very
meaningful comment on these people's
posts and when i say meaningful comment
i don't mean this is a great post or
good job i mean a comment that adds
value to the person and most importantly
that appreciates the work they have put
in to create that piece of content and
as you can see in this example this was
the comment i left in ross simmons post
it basically says you can play the
algorithm game but you won't play it for
long when you play the content creation
game you set up yourself for success and
you want to do this in your top accounts
every single day so the fourth step is
just to rinse and repeat this every day
now the reason for engaging with other
people's content is very simple first
you learn what works because you are
constantly engaging and consuming other
people's content so you know exactly
what they are doing that actually works
in what does not work and you are also
building connections that can turn into
very meaningful and interesting
relationships and so after putting into
practice this routine of engaging with
other people's content you can expect
three things the first are profile
visits the second is establishing your
presence on linkedin in your industry
and finally you are leveraging your
personal brand but if you want to take
things a step further you need to
improve your linkedin profile and this
is what makes the second part of my
framework thankfully i've already
created a video helping you optimize
your linkedin profile which you can
check here and the reason why you want
to optimize your linkedin profile is it
because that's your sales page literally
you have a sales page to be completed so
you must optimize it for sales or for
literally anything you are expecting
with your linkedin profile and the
second reason for optimizing your
linkedin profile is branding obviously
people pay a lot of attention to the
elements that make or break a personal
brand and they will notice if your
profile is completely random so make
sure you use brand elements that are
consistent and cohesive around your
profile and now you're asking what are
the results after optimizing my profile
and you can surely expect a higher
number of profile visits a higher number
of leads or even sales and obviously
attracting the right audience and i
would love to know if you have or have
not yet optimized your linkedin profile
so make sure to leave a comment down
below now the third step of my framework
is the network and having a relevant
network is really important if you want
to get noticed by the right people and
you have done most of the work already
you have commented on these people's
posts and you have an interesting and
optimized linkedin profile now the best
part is building connections with these
people so my strategy for doing so is
literally to go into the people i really
want to create a connection with and
send them a connection invitation that
is kind of a friendship request if we
were talking about facebook but instead
of sending them a general connection
request you want to add a personalized
message and the reason for doing this is
you want to make sure these people see
you as someone who put in the effort to
try to have them on their network so you
always want to send an interesting and
personalized message that shows the
people you have put in the work and here
you can see the example of a message i
sent to ross simmons and then you want
to continue commenting on these people's
posts on linkedin so they can
acknowledge you they know you are there
also contributing to their posts to
appreciating their efforts and this is
literally the first step for building
any connection so when you go again onto
the message and you send them something
it's not a cold relationship because you
are already present in their profiles
and in their content and so don't be
afraid to jump into a conversation as
long as you are not jumping into a sales
pitch because that's a no-no and
obviously the reason for building a
network is to building connections
because when you take the time to add
value and contribute to someone's life
you are creating a connection and the
results after this process are
reciprocity profile growth and obviously
meaningful connections and now you are
probably wondering okay i've got a great
profile i'm commenting on other people's
posts and i have already some great
connections what is the next step and so
it's time to create content and creating
content can be hard especially if you're
just starting out that's why i recommend
you content creation now what exactly is
content creation instead of coming up
with your original ideas you will simply
create content to your audience so you
will grab insights from books you've
read articles you have consumed or other
people that you have access to and you
will compile the information into
linkedin posts that you can share with
your audience and add value to them and
really the goal is to create existing
content to your audience so there's no
need to reinvent the wheel and this is a
good example where i compiled the
lessons i learned with a specific course
i took and i share that on linkedin and
the goal is with time to start crafting
your own posts like this one you see
right here where i created and shared my
framework for everyone who wants to
start creating content but does not know
where to start and once you get used to
this process of creating content you
should definitely try to optimize your
content for engagement and i've created
a video here where i help you create
engaging posts for linkedin and
obviously after you start creating
content on linkedin you will be
recognized as an expert in your industry
and you are scaling your personal brand
at the same time because you are
distributing your content and your
knowledge and now you're asking but yeah
and what are the results after
publishing content you get perceived
expertise in your industry you
consolidate your presence in linkedin
and in your specific niche and you
leverage your business you leverage the
number of leads and potential clients
and with the link framework you can be
sure you are building a strong and
powerful personal brand on linkedin and
if you want my cheat sheet for building
a personal brand on linkedin you
definitely should check the link on the
description and obviously make sure to
watch my video on optimizing your
linkedin profile and i hope to see you
there
