straight into the presentation. Okay, let's start working through those teacher interview questions
and top scoring answers. I will then tell you where you can download them. Please take notes.
Teacher interview question number one is: Tell me about yourself. Now, in your answer to this first
teacher interview question, talk about the skills, qualities, qualifications and experience you
have as a teacher and what you can bring to the position. Here is my top scoring example answer
to help you. Tell me about yourself. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to be interviewed
for this teacher position today at your college. My name is Richard, and I would describe myself
as a knowledgeable, committed, trustworthy and hardworking teacher who is passionate about their
subject. After graduating from university with excellent grades, I worked in several teaching
positions where I taught, supported and motivated my students to achieve their educational goals.
I was described by the head teacher in my last job as reliable and loyal and the teacher who is
committed to doing all I can to help my students reach their full potential. I am very good at
managing stress, take good care of myself, and have a supportive family who appreciates my number
one passion in life is teaching. If you hire me as a teacher, I will be a great role model for
the college, demonstrate your core values in my teaching, and work tirelessly to ensure my
students receive the very best in tuition. Teacher interview question number two is: why did you want
to be a teacher? Now, in your answer to this next difficult teacher interview question, talk about
the responsibility that comes with the position being appealing to you, and the fact you get to
have a positive impact on your students’ lives in your work, and the fact you get to be creative in
your style of teaching. So, here's my brilliant top-scoring example answer to help you pass your
interview. Why did you want to be a teacher? Here we go. There are many benefits to being a teacher.
I enjoy the responsibility that comes with the position, and I thrive while under pressure. I
also enjoy the fact that I can have a positive and long-lasting impact on the lives of my students by
helping them to be hard-working and disciplined - values that will help them in the future. Finally,
I want to be a teacher because I enjoy being creative. As a teacher, I get to use different
teaching methods to help my students absorb the content, and this helps make the lessons fun and
appealing. Teacher interview question number three is: why do you want to work in our school? Now,
this question is being asked to make sure you have researched the school and you are confident it is
a place you will want to teach long term. Now, the last thing the school, college or university
wants to happen is that you end up leaving soon after starting work there because it isn't what
you expected. So, here is a brilliant top scoring example answer to help you. Why do you want to
work in our school? I researched the school prior to submitting my resumé and I am confident this is
a place I will want to teach at long term. I was attracted to your values, the fact the teachers
support each other in the school's mission, and you have excellent ratings from the regulatory
bodies. Finally, I want to work in this school because all the teachers in my peer group have
said great things about how the school is managed and the fact teachers are given the freedom
to teach in a style that meets their student's needs. Teacher Interview question number four is:
How do you manage behavior in the classroom? This is a really difficult question to get correct. So,
this next tough teacher interview question is assessing how confident you are and whether
you have a plan or strategy to deal with unruly behavior. Make sure you prepare a strong answer
to this question because lots of teachers fail the interviews after they give a weak response.
Here is the perfect answer. How do you manage behavior in the classroom? Here we go. I manage
behavior by first getting my students to agree to several rules I put in place. These rules are:
always being on time, coming to lessons prepared, completing homework, being kind and polite to
others, listening while the teacher is speaking, and being respectful of other students, teachers
and their belongings. Whenever I take over a new class, I will discuss these rules openly with my
students, explain the benefits of them, and get everyone to agree to them. I can then refer back
to the rules if ever they are broken and remind everyone of their importance. I also manage
behavior by being confident and assertive. I am in charge throughout the duration of each lesson and
I expect that fact to be respected. I will also make sure I learn my students names as this is
important when communicating with them. Finally, I will reiterate the importance and benefits
of good classroom behavior, periodically. Teacher interview question number five is:
how do you cope with stress? So, this next common but difficult teacher interview question comes up
during 99% of teacher interviews. Now, it comes up often because stress is the number one factor
why teachers leave the profession early. Make sure you have a plan in place for dealing with
stress as a teacher. Here is a brilliant top scoring answer to help you. How do you cope
with stress? Here we go. I cope with stress by making sure I am organized in my teaching duties,
planning my lessons in advance foreseeing any potential issues, and considering what
challenges I might have during lessons. I check my diary regularly to ensure I have sufficient time
to assess homework and prepare lessons outside teaching. I keep myself fit and active to reduce
stress and I plan holidays, so I have something to look forward to with my family. Finally, I
always remember that stress is a physical emotion that I have control over, and I make sure it never
impacts negatively on my ability to carry out my teaching duties. Okay. So there’s five brilliant
