Are you trying to figure out what tools you can use to supercharge your

play00:05

business to prime it for growth so that it's more effective and efficient?

play00:11

Well, stay tuned because I've got a list of my nine favorite tools.

play00:16

A lot of them are free.

play00:17

And we're going to be digging into why they're so great and how you can use

play00:21

them to supercharge your online business.

play00:24

Hello, it's slightly in the future Emma, and I made a little boo

play00:29

boo all throughout this video.

play00:31

I'm talking about nine tools, one I really should have spoken about.

play00:35

10.

play00:36

So every time you hear the number 9 just in your head, imagine that

play00:40

I'm saying 10, and next time I will do a far better job of counting.

play00:45

But I hope you love this video.

play00:46

Please subscribe, like, comment, let me know what your favorite tool is, and

play00:52

let's go ahead and get into the content.

play00:59

Hello, my name is Emma Sherber Tamir.

play01:01

I'm the CEO and co founder of Marketing by Emma.

play01:03

We're an e commerce copywriting firm who has been on the game since 2016.

play01:09

I have tons of experience with tons of different tools, the

play01:13

good, the bad, and the ugly.

play01:14

And today I'm going to be sharing with you some of my favorite tools that I use

play01:19

to be more efficient, to coordinate with my teams, to keep everything organized.

play01:25

to automate like a pro and to run my business as efficiently as possible.

play01:31

So let's just go ahead and dive into my favorite.

play01:34

And by the way, these are in no particular order, but Uh, let's

play01:38

start with one of my favorites of all, which is the Google Suite.

play01:43

The Google Suite has a variety of different tools and what's even more

play01:47

awesome is recently with their AI update, now you're able to infuse

play01:52

every single aspect of your Google efforts with AI automation and

play01:58

efficiency and idea generation.

play02:01

So everything from Google Sheets to Gmail.

play02:05

Anything that's stored within the Google Drive is now elevated with AI.

play02:11

Technology, which is pretty awesome.

play02:13

What's also great about Google is that it really plays well

play02:17

with a bunch of other tools.

play02:20

So it's a great foundation.

play02:21

It's a great place to consolidate things.

play02:24

And it is also something that we have been using since day one.

play02:29

It's a must have tool for us.

play02:32

Second favorite tool is ClickUp.

play02:35

ClickUp is the project management tool that we use.

play02:38

It's where I keep my personal to do lists.

play02:41

It's where we manage every single client project.

play02:43

I have a whole video that goes into why I love ClickUp so much.

play02:47

They recently updated and released 3.

play02:50

0, which I will admit I'm still kind of getting used to or adjusted to.

play02:55

It's a big update, but there is a free version of ClickUp if you are

play02:59

looking to just kind of try it out.

play03:01

What I find so great about it is it's that it's incredibly customizable

play03:06

and allows you to get very granular.

play03:08

What that means is that it might be a little bit intimidating and overwhelming

play03:11

at first, but it also allows you to really be able to do anything that

play03:16

you could possibly want to do with a tool like this and allows any team

play03:20

members or contractors to do the same.

play03:23

It's great for knowing exactly who has ownership of something, where

play03:27

a project stands in the pipeline, and being able to get zoomed in and

play03:32

zoomed out so that I know exactly what's going on on any given day.

play03:37

It has communication.

play03:38

It also has AI built right in, a lot with a lot of automations.

play03:42

And with, uh, with one of my other favorite tools, you can connect it to

play03:48

any of the other, uh, things that you might be using to run your business.

play03:52

Now, a new tool, well, it's not a new tool.

play03:54

It's a new tool to me that is quickly rising in the ranks is LinkedIn.

play03:59

I feel like I dismissed LinkedIn for a long time as something that Quite

play04:05

frankly, it felt like a waste of time, and I'm majorly regretting that decision.

play04:10

For the last month and a half, I've been committed to really spending far more

play04:14

time on LinkedIn, strategically using it to network, to bring brand awareness,

play04:20

to establish thought leadership, and to grow our, both our brand and my personal

play04:26

brand, and it has been incredible.

play04:29

All of the opportunities that it's generated just from a month and

play04:32

a half of really focused effort.

play04:34

So LinkedIn, no matter what stage you are in your career or your business,

play04:38

is definitely a space that you want to make sure to be spending your time.

play04:43

It's a great place to connect with peers.

play04:44

It's a great place to connect with partners, with potential clients.

play04:48

And it is something that is also going to move with you throughout your career.

play04:53

So even if you transition into a new business, You've already built

play04:57

a solid foundation that you can then grow on in your next adventure.

play05:00

Canva.

play05:01

I love Canva for one reason.

play05:06

It's so easy and makes my designs look good even though I am not a designer.

play05:13

I can easily toss together infographics, I can make a presentation look

play05:18

spick and span, I feel confident and like I'm putting out something that

play05:24

looks good, even though I am in no way, shape, or form a designer, so.

play05:31

Canva, for me, is a must have, especially as I invest more time and effort into

play05:38

YouTube, into LinkedIn, and really into any of my speaking gigs as well.

play05:45

Canva is, can allow you to, there's sort of a theme going on here.

play05:50

Canva also has AI built in that allows you to do all sorts of nifty things.

play05:55

I love the background remover, but you can also use it for image editing.

play06:00

and making anything that you're going to be showing to something

play06:05

else just look beautiful.

play06:08

So, highly recommend Canva.

play06:10

I believe they also have a free version as well.

play06:13

Shopify is another one of my all time favorite tools.

play06:16

We've been using it for a few years now and You might be puzzled to think,

play06:22

well, Emma, why are you using Shopify if you have a marketing agency?

play06:27

And I realize this is not a traditional way of using Shopify.

play06:32

It's an off label use, if you will, but Shopify is fantastic for us

play06:38

because we have productized our services, meaning that each of the

play06:42

services that we offer is a set.

play06:44

Product package, if you will, where somebody can just go directly to the

play06:48

website, make a purchase, and then a bunch of different automations

play06:52

transpire as a result of that.

play06:54

Shopify consolidates payment processing, which is something that is paying the

play07:01

tush, and so really glad that they take care of all that, and they have just

play07:06

more and more functionality and things.

play07:08

They're also really ramping up.

play07:10

All of their AI offerings, and it's been a great, easy to use platform to

play07:17

build a website upon, to continue to adjust and adapt and grow from that,

play07:23

and if you are in e commerce, or even if you are not in e commerce and are

play07:29

planning to sell something through your website, Shopify might be something that

play07:33

you want to consider on that AI trend.

play07:37

I love a good AI chatbot, chatGPT, Claude, Bard.

play07:41

These tools are fantastic for ideation, for bridging through writer's

play07:46

block, for being able to really kind of assess a lot of information

play07:52

and draw some conclusions for it.

play07:54

So let's say there's a, a BC article that I don't have the time to read,

play07:59

I can get it to summarize it for me.

play08:00

So it helps to do a lot of that.

play08:04

It's legwork that I may not otherwise have time in my day for, and it really helps

play08:09

with feeling like I'm actually making forward progress, I'm not getting stuck.

play08:14

Staring at a screen, trying to think about what to do, what to write,

play08:18

how to make this sentence better.

play08:20

It allows me to be able to use more of what I do really well, so that I'm

play08:25

not getting stuck doing some of the things that are either time wasting.

play08:30

Or, or leaving me feeling depleted because it's taking so much of my energy.

play08:36

Zapier and Make are both great tools for all of these other tools.

play08:42

So, one of the problems that I run into when I am creating my

play08:47

tool stack is that the tools don't always want to talk to each other.

play08:52

And it's not that they're not friends, it's just that They don't maybe speak

play08:57

the same language or know each other yet, so obviously when there's a built

play09:02

in integration, that's amazing, I'll be jumping for joy, but I don't want

play09:08

to be limited to only choosing a tool that has a direct integration with

play09:12

one of the other tools that I have.

play09:14

And so with Zapier and with Make, I'm able to create all of those connections

play09:18

so that All of these different tools that I'm working with can talk together and

play09:23

can automate a lot of the things that are really not necessary for a human to do.

play09:30

It's a repeatable thing that's following the exact same process

play09:33

every time Xavier is going to make sure that things are operating.

play09:38

With fewer errors and more efficiently than it would be

play09:42

if we needed a human to do it.

play09:44

So an example would be, in the past, when someone would make a purchase, I

play09:49

would need to create an invoice for them.

play09:51

I would need to send them an email with a link to the questionnaire.

play09:55

And I would need to go into ClickUp or even before ClickUp into my

play09:59

spreadsheet to create a new project list so that I would be able to

play10:04

keep track of where the project was.

play10:06

I would need to create a Google document and a Google folder for that project.

play10:10

So all of these different steps, none of them were anything

play10:14

that I needed to think about.

play10:16

I just needed to make sure that they all got done.

play10:18

And because there's so many different steps, it was easy to forget something, to

play10:22

get distracted, to get stuck in something else and have there be a big delay.

play10:26

And so instead with Zapier, I can automate all of that so that people

play10:30

are getting what they need instantly.

play10:32

And so that we're not wasting time doing something that we don't need to be doing.

play10:36

So we have more time to spend.

play10:37

Spend on the things that really matter.

play10:40

So Zapier is awesome.

play10:41

I'm a huge fan.

play10:42

I actually prefer Zapier over Make.

play10:45

There's something about the interface of it that I find to be,

play10:48

uh, much more user friendly, also.

play10:51

Zapier has a really cool new update.

play10:54

With AI, where you can type in what it is that you're trying to do, and

play10:58

it'll kind of lay the foundations for the automation, rather than needing

play11:02

to fully build it out from scratch.

play11:04

So it's making it much faster and easier to get an automation set up and

play11:09

running, even if you are not necessarily an automation pro, which I'm not.

play11:14

It always takes me a long time to build those things, so I'm really excited about.

play11:18

this new update.

play11:20

I've got three more tools that I want to tell you and these are

play11:24

a little bit less conventional.

play11:26

So the first tool is my brand new webcam, which I love.

play11:33

It is an InstaLink and it is an AI empowered webcam and

play11:40

it corrects for lighting.

play11:42

It has cool Zoom functionality and a bunch of other things that I haven't

play11:47

even begun to figure out yet, but my desk is sitting directly in front of

play11:51

a window, and no matter what I did, I could not get good light balance.

play11:56

And now, I don't need to worry about that.

play11:59

This camera is amazing.

play12:00

It is a little bit more expensive, but if you're somebody that's going to

play12:03

be getting on a lot of Zoom calls, or doing a lot of podcasts and webinars

play12:07

and presentations, It is worth it to invest in a good quality webcam that's

play12:12

going to give you crisp imagery that's going to allow you to feel confident so

play12:16

you're not worrying about the quality of your camera and can instead focus

play12:20

on impressing and doing a knockout job.

play12:23

So highly, highly recommend this camera.

play12:26

I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm just so glad that I discovered it.

play12:32

My day designer, which is the planner that I use, and you might be thinking,

play12:37

Emma, what are you talking about?

play12:39

You just told me that you use ClickUp for your to do lists.

play12:44

Yes.

play12:45

Yes, I do.

play12:46

But let me tell you this, I love a good written list and there's

play12:51

something about the satisfaction of checking something off the list.

play12:55

That I just, it's not the same as clicking a little button

play12:58

and seeing it marked as done.

play13:00

So every single evening, when I'm getting ready to wrap up my

play13:04

day, I will plan the next day.

play13:06

Or if it's on a Friday, then I will also be planning the next week.

play13:09

So that allows me to get really clear on what my priorities are for the next day.

play13:14

Anything that I have scheduled on my calendar, so I don't forget

play13:16

any meetings or important things.

play13:18

I'm making sure I'm waking up at the correct time.

play13:21

I've.

play13:21

I've tried many different planners over the years, and this is the one that

play13:25

I keep coming back to because it has these full day layouts so that I have

play13:29

a ca uh, schedule on one side, I have a big beefy section for my to do list,

play13:34

my top priorities, plenty of space to take notes or to leave little memos

play13:39

for myself, and I absolutely love it.

play13:43

I do better work, I get more done when I am using my planner.

play13:49

And last but not least, A pen and paper.

play13:53

Do not underestimate the power of pen and paper.

play13:56

I realize that they might seem like simple, lowly tools when they are

play14:00

compared against the power of AI.

play14:03

However, a pen and paper allows us to connect in with certain

play14:09

things that computers Simply done.

play14:11

So we actually will understand and remember things better if we write them

play14:15

down when we're learning something new.

play14:17

It also allows you to be able to think in a deeper way than you might be

play14:22

able to in other types of scenarios.

play14:25

So whether you're trying to work through a plot problem, reflect on

play14:28

something that didn't go as planned, dream up some new goals, pen and

play14:33

paper are wonderful for that.

play14:36

And if you're not trying it out, I, you know, maybe, maybe try a

play14:42

journal or something like that.

play14:43

You know, it's just, uh, something to play around with.

play14:46

So those are my top nine favorite business tools that I use on a daily basis.

play14:52

I can't imagine running my business without them.

play14:55

And let me know what you think.

play14:57

Did I name any of your favorite tools?

play14:59

Are you using some tools that I should be checking out?

play15:02
