brake horsepower which is quite

impressive however is now running over

double that power figure after it's

tuning the cheapest 540i on the UK

Market at time of filming comes in at

around 20K Mo estimates a 10K spend to

build and tune the car meaning that you

could potentially buy and build a

similar car for

£30,000 and stepping up against him

today repping for the full fat M Power

division sporting two extra cylinders

and extra turbo and 1.4 L of extra

capacity introducing sandis to the

689 brake horsepower 904 Newt M 4.4 L V8

twin turbo S63 powered BMW M5 built and

tuned by MV Motorsport mods coming

now the M5 left the factory with 600

brake horsepower so has seen an 89 brake

horsepower gain from its tunin the

cheapest f90 M5 on the UK Market at time

of filming comes in at around

£37,000 sandis spent an additional 1.5k

in mods in tuni to get the car to this

power meaning you could potentially buy

and build a similar car for £385,000

that the race was won by the BMW M5 oh

mad M5 takes the rolls it's a lot closer

the strip the 54 I initially actually

pulls ahead but that killer M5 manages

to reel him in and pulls a car length on

him by the Finish Line that's mad

right so let's just take a look at the

fastest 100 to 200 kph times achieved by

the pair during the runs using a v-box

PBT and as the race results would

suggest the BMW M5 just proves the

faster car running 100 to 200 kph in

just 6.85 seconds only three tempts

faster than the 540i best time of 7.23

seconds however neither BMW quite fast

enough to chart with the elite 15 that's

data to back up the results and round

one goes to the m power next up is the

drag racers and this is where things

could get interesting contrary to

popular belief Mo's 540i has not got

launch control mapped in so he's going

to be breake boost

and the f90 m5's launch control are

notoriously temperamental at the best of

times so place your bets and let's get

me this is how it looked it looked like

the M5 didn't get away

brilliantly but then Mo in the M sorry

the 540i was sleeping a little bit but

got away nicely but then the M5 just ran

it all the way down the track that's how

it looked to me hopefully I haven't

absolutely mess it up finish line finish

line am I right in saying the M5 took

the win

initially closes a gap with a strong

launch but just as the M5 start singing

and sandis makes it to the line first

beating a 540i by around two car than

drags and that time the m5's launch

control activates and and he rockets off

the line and pulls on the 540i all the

way to the finish taking a win by around

three car lengths and that was all she

let's take a look at the fastest quarter

mile and 0 to 60 times achieved by the

BMWs during the runs using a v-box PBT

and unsurprisingly the M5 proves the

fastest over the quarter mile running

the distance in 10.79 seconds at a speed

of 132 milph the 54i impressively still

manages to break into the 10 running a

best time just 2/1 of a second slower

than the M5 of 10.99 seconds at a speed

of 127 mph however both BMS not quite

fast enough to chart with the top 15

then taking a look over at the fastest 0

to 60 times achieved things get quite

interesting the M5 once again goes

fastest but only just hitting 60 in a

rapid 2.86 seconds the 540i shows just

how capable it can be by brake boosting

and hits an insane time only 100th of a

second slower than the M5 of 2.87

seconds mad however once again both Lads

just off Pace to chart with the top 15

so it looks like today both rounds go to

sandis the mighty ffat M5 and the

same car to find out if when straight

line speed is measured if it's really

worth spending the extra money on a fat

M5 and that I guess is kind of still out

for debate however the M5 just proved

Superior in the roll and drag races

beating its less celebrated siblings and

taking overall Victory but not by a

massive margin in fact the 54i punching

above its weight makes the M5 sweating a

roll races with incredibly tight results

and runs nearon identical 0 to 60 times

as the full fat MC car also I think even

in defeat the 540i needs to be respected

for its performance today and I know

this for sure if that M5 was stock it

would have been a totally different

story but that is a whole whole

different debate a massive shout out to

both Lads and tuners for stepping up and
