Transcripts
today I'm going to be going over my top
eight tips if you're traveling to Las
Vegas I've been to Vegas over 10 times
and I've learned a lot of valuable
information that today I'm going to be
teaching you and as a bonus if you stick
around to the end I'm also going to be
sharing some delicious food
recommendations so let's get right into
it first let's talk about Transportation
it is important that you always compare
prices between Lyft and Uber especially
if you're going to be doing 10 to 20
different rides through your entire trip
it could add up to you saving a lot of
money if you're going to Vegas don't
expect to walk everywhere because
everything is pretty far so you're most
likely going to be using ride share
services or you're going to rent out a
car there's also something called the
dece bus you download the ride RTC app
where they also have stations throughout
the strip you can get a day pass for as
little as $8 and the nice part about the
bus is it actually travels throughout
the entire strip and it even takes you
downtown there's obviously pros and cons
to both right if you're doing Lyft and
Uber you're probably going to pay a lot
more on average to be safe I would
factor in $20 a trip for Uber oryt but
the nice part about using the ride share
Services is they're a lot more
convenient you can get them when you
want them and in my opinion I just think
it's more efficient but if you are in a
budget the deuce bus also works the only
downside is you do have to wait for it
to actually stop especially if there's a
lot of traffic I can imagine that it
could take you 30 minutes to 45 minutes
just to go from Fremont to the strip so
in my opinion I like to do the ride
share Services there is also mon so I
think it's very important that you look
into those and you also want to look
into the trams so there's a lot of
different trams that are actually free
the monreal is going to be more budget
friendly still time efficient not as
expensive as Uber or lift so you want to
consider that as well now another thing
about transportation that I think is
really important that you should know a
lot of the times it's actually cheaper
for you to get a taxi to your hotel from
the airport so you want to consider that
the reason why it's cheaper is because
taxi cabs are obligated to charge you a
flat fee now the next conversation I
want to have with you is about
convenience stores and shopping
definitely want to be careful with the
convenience stores inside the casinos
everything is marked up I even Fallen
victim to it you know paying $9 to $10 a
water bottle so just know if you are
going to be doing some shopping there
you are most likely going to overpay
instead check out the ABC Stores they
have a ton of them throughout the city
everything is a lot more affordable in
here you can find cheap snacks drinks
I've even seen have like souvenir shirts
on sale or even better if you're driving
a vehicle go to Walmart or Target
there's actually even a Target on the
Strip so if you want to walk to that one
or get to that one maybe buy some
groceries for the trip it'll save you a
lot of money especially because food is
probably one of the most expensive
things in Vegas is it worth it in my
opinion yes I overspend on food all the
time but I love traveling to Vegas
because of the food and like I said
towards the end of the video I'll give
you some of my top food recommendations
moving along to the next tip tip is make
your reservations in advance let me
explain no matter what you're booking if
it's an experience you know something
fun to do a dinner make your
reservations 30 days in advance the last
thing you want to do is arrive on your
trip and not be able to experience what
you were planning to do just to give you
an example during the week of F1 if you
wanted to eat dinner or lunch at one of
the Bellagio restaurants you know the
restaurants with overlooking the
fountains they're really gorgeous there
was no chance you were getting a table
if you didn't make your reservations
that's how packed that place was so
obviously it depends you know every week
is going to be different but to be on
the safe side make your reservations 30
days in advance because you never know
how busy that week is going to be
there's also certain experiences that
sell out really really fast so for
example the jigsaw escape room and the
IT the clown escape room you definitely
need to reserve probably even more than
30 days in advance maybe even 60 days to
be safe moving over to the next tip cash
is K
you definitely want to bring some cash
with you I'm not saying pay everything
in cash because almost you know every
place is going to take credit cards or
debit cards but there is a few places
that are only going to take cash very
few of them but there is and there's
also some places that will actually
charge you fees for using a card another
reason why you want to bring cash is
because of the godamn ATM fees they are
ridiculous on average for each
transaction expect anywhere between a
$10 fee to a $20 fee and some adult
clubs you know not the nightclubs I'm
not talking about normal nightclubs I'm
talking about you know adult clubs if
you know you know I've heard some of
those can be as high as $90 a
transaction insane another Pro tip is
going into Target or CVS if you're going
to be buying groceries or anything might
as well ask for some cash back it's
basically like your ATM for free I've
also heard that the ATM on the third
floor of the &m store was only charging
like two bucks back in December If
you're receiving value from this video
so far do me a huge favor drop a like on
the video and also drop a comment saying
value it helps me out way more than what
you think now let's get back into the
video my next tip is dress comfortable
what do I mean let me explain for
example my wife and I we Uber everywhere
and for some reason we still end up
walking 20,000 steps a day I've even
heard some people go up to 26,000 steps
a day what's tricky is the casinos will
look like they're close to each other
but trust me they are not close
sometimes it takes 15 20 30 minutes just
to walk from one casino to the other
because they are huge next up you want
to plan for the weather personally I
just think the weather is crazy
everywhere it's obviously Mother Nature
so it's unpredictable here's what I like
to do for one I always like to look at
how the weather was like last year
around that time of the month definitely
want to look at the weather at least one
week beforehand and then pack your
clothes based off of that and speaking
about the weather for some reason when
I'm there for 4 days or longer typically
by like the third day or fourth day my
lips get really chapped especially since
I live in a town that is super humid so
I'm not used to the dryness so maybe
consider taking some chapstick with you
moving along to the next tip probably
one of my favorites the free stuff I
don't really hear Too Many people
talking about this but you can actually
get free stuff from restaurants and the
hotels for one if you go for your
birthday or anniversary tell everybody
you never know who's going to get you
something for free especially
restaurants restaurants like to hook you
up with a free dessert most of the times
I've also heard if you're doing like the
big milestone numbers they could do
something even a lot more special like 5
10 15 20 you know 50 stuff like that for
example about four or five years ago I
went to Vegas for my friend's 21st
birthday I was checking in at the MGM
Grand and there was a huge check-in line
and my buddy it's his birthday he goes
up to the management and says hey it's
my birthday I was wondering if my buddy
can skip the line and somehow he got me
to skip the line so that was actually
super cool moral of the story is you
never know if you don't ask and also you
got to take advantage of the free shows
it's Vegas there is a ton of free shows
the Circus Circus Casino has free circus
acts throughout all day every day every
couple hours they're doing something
different and the nice part is it's free
and familyfriendly just to name a few
more you also have the free fall of
Atlanta show I'll throw up the times
that way you you can pause if you want
to look at that you also have the big
Elvis show at Hara obviously you also
have the iconic basio water fountain
show which is beautiful there's a ton of
more free shows it's really hard to name
all of them in just one video but if
you're curious what those shows are let
me know down below and I might make a
video on that okay now for the next tip
plan for fees I know I told you to take
some cash even if you take cash there's
still going to be fees it's inevitable
let me explain for one instantly as soon
as you get to the resort and you're
checking in with the front desk
you're most likely going to get hit with
Resort fees this is a fee that almost
every single Casino charges it can range
anywhere between 40 bucks a day to 70
bucks a day and yes it's per day so it
can add up especially if you're there
for 7 days I'll tell you how you can
actually avoid the resort fees here in a
little bit it's a little complicated but
I'll explain you also got a plan for
hotel security deposits I'm not sure how
much they can range up to but I do know
at least you're looking at about $150
this is a deposit that will be given
back to you after you leave so as long
as the room is in good condition and the
last thing about fees super super
important do not touch the mini fridge
or the snack bar 99% of The Times They
are going to be weighed so even if you
just move anything pick it up and put it
down you will get build now here's the
next tip sign up for the players reward
programs every single Casino has one of
these and they are free to sign up you
just need a valid ID I'm pretty sure you
could even do it even if you're not a US
resident so the way this works to keep
it simple the more money you spend at
that casino property or gambling at that
property the more points you will
receive therefore you will also get some
free stuff or comps which is basically
kind of like discounts so basically what
this does is you're basically signing up
for this card it's not a debit card or a
credit card it's just like a card that
keeps track of your spending this is
perfect if you're already a big Gambler
obviously if you're not a gambler do not
just get this card to gamble I do not
recommend that if you go to a restaurant
in that property make sure that you ask
them if you can also use your card as
well because they will track all that
spending and the more spending you do
the higher the level tier you go the
higher the tier the better the perks the
nice part about these perks is sometimes
you'll receive room comps what that
means is you're basically getting free
nights to come back at the hotel a later
time of the year but the catch is you
still got to pay Resort fees but the way
you avoid Resort fees typically you got
to get to like the highest level and
then at that point you don't even have
to pay for Resort fees another tip that
I think is super important if you do
sign up for the rewards program make
sure to do this if you felt like you
spent a ton of money go to the front
desk and ask them for a host speak to
that host and ask him hey host I'm
wondering if I spent enough money to be
able to have my Resort fees waved
obviously if you spent enough they're
able to pull it all up and you might
just get your Resort fees waved this
next message is super important so hear
me out with each video that I upload
onto this YouTube Channel I am going to
do my best to make it as valuable as
possible and as informative as possible
I am going to be uploading videos on
everything there is to do in Las Vegas
so if you are enjoying this video do me
a huge favor and hit the Subscribe
button with the Bell notification that
way when I upload my next video you can
be the first to know and don't think I
forgot about the delicious food
recommendations here's what I got for
you so for one there's this awesome
place next to the convention center it's
called seagull Bagel Mania there's so
much delicious food there I've tried a
ton of it and it's all good but my
personal favorite is the Hala french
toast for one it's massive it's fluffy
thick has a nice little crisp on the
outside sweet bomb try it next there's
this other place called Rock and potato
it's kind of hidden there's this spot
called a showcase food court next to the
&m store and the Coca-Cola Store to the
right you head up the ES escalators take
a left and rock a potato is there some
of my personal favorite dishes there
right now are the bira tacos and the
lobster roll I am like still dreaming
about them I'm actually going on another
trip and I'm excited to have them again
next you also want to check out pink box
Donuts The Establishment is super cool
so it's all pink themed so that's really
nice about it they have a flavorful
array of scrumptious Donuts but my
personal favorites are the Mr blueberry
the Nutella D Crow and the the golden
night you cannot go wrong with any of
those three this next one is Off the
Strip but totally worth a trip it's
inside Chino's Mexican Kitchen my wife
really loved their assada fries but my
personal favorite was the Aztec Taco
this thing was massive had a nice layer
of cheese melted on the tortilla my
mouth is literally watering thinking
about it it was bomb that's it for today
see you on the next video peace
