Copenhagen we haven't been very lucky

with the weather but our plan for today

is we're going to go and try some Danish

Foods so if you follow our Channel

you'll know that when we get to a new

country we do love to try the Local

Foods so yeah that's what today's video

is going to be all about we've heard

some really good things about Danish

food so yeah we're really excited to try

some out yes we are in the center of

Copenhagen so we have a few stops on our

Google Maps that we want to go and check

out and uh some different types of foods

as well sweet Savory the whole lot so on

our way now to our first

one so we're going to start off with

some pastries and we're at a place here

it's called St Peter's Bakery and we

read some really good reviews on it

online that like it's supposedly you can

get the best pastries in Copenhagen now

we're only standing outside the window

here and I can smell the cinnamon

through it we haven't decided which one

we want to get if we're being honest

we'd love to try them all they all look

amazing there is one particular that's H

quite famous I guess you'd say in

Copenhagen it's called the English

translation is snail bread so uh yeah

we're going to go and maybe maybe start

with that and we'll see how we

St Peter's Bakery and I'm just looking

here as well found it in 60 and 52 oo so

it's quite old we got a cinnamon bread

now I can't pronounce the name of this

I'm going to just pop it right here but

it translates to snail bread in English

and oh my God the smell of cinnamon like

smells so good so yeah this is a hair I

can see why it translates to snail

breads so as you can see it's sort of

like in the shape of a snail and then we

have some ice and sugar here I'm

guessing it's ice and sugar and and then

cinnamon inside so let's dig

in oh my God is it nice yeah the

cinnamon is really strong I love that as

soon as you bite into it you just get

the flavor of cinnamon I need to get

some of the ice and sugar need a bigger

MK I need a bigger M bigger

bite that was the bite that is gorgeous

and I think that was only like three

we've had loads of cinnamon buns before

it's something that me and Ken love but

this one is really good so St Peter's

Bakery in Copenhagen definitely come and

check it out that'd be really nice with

coffee or something or tea wouldn't off

field tour we're at a place called tily

Food Hall so supposedly they have loads

of different types of food we're looking

for one in particular so we're hoping

they have it in

here oh the smell of food

wow right so our next food I'm very

excited for this one it's called schore

broad now I'm probably pronouncing that

so wrong but I'll put it here we suppos

it's like The Unofficial national dish

of Denmark it's hugely popular we've

actually seen them on every menu so let

me explain what it is it's an open

sandwich so there's just one piece of

bread and it's a rye bread a tin slice

at the bottom and I got the Danish

meatball one so I think that's like the

traditional one to get so the Danish

meatball I'm after asking the lady in

there who served me is beef and pork a

mixture of boat it's also served cold I

thought it would have been hot but know

it's called and then the toppings that

we have are there's like a potato salad

we have some finely freshly chopped Red

Onion we have some chives and then we

also have some coriander so yeah I'm

sure it's going to be a burst of flavors

time to dig in smells

amazing I was wondering what way you'd

eat it like do you eat it with your

hands but they give you a knife and

forks so I presume you slice it up I

think it'd be very sloppy if I went to

just eat it like that cuz it is quite a

mountain so yeah I have a little bit of

bread I a little bit of everything

there's the meatballs and

then all the

salads that was absolutely gorgeous

surprisingly very tasty for cold meat on

a but uh no it's really really

lovely that that um the Danish meatballs

are gorgeous but do you know what really

makes it I have to say it's the salad on

the top this salad I'm guessing it's

potato salad it's so creamy and it's

full of flavor can just taste the onions

the chives the coriander just a Bor of

them all

together it's actually a funny one

because I mean yeah the way we'd have a

sandwich at home would be like two

slices of bread so there's a lot of

bread flavor where you can just get the

right amount of bread flavor which is

sort of strange but it's lovely I think

it's being overpowered by the rest of it

cuz there's so much going on in

it yeah my time be filled so prices it

was 75 coron so it's about

€10 it's quite filling I mean I've only

taken like two bites out of it the meat

is quite shunky it looks small that's

the thing it looks like it's small

because it doesn't take up a lot of your

plate like yeah it looks like it's tall

it looks quite small but that's what I'm

saying it's a mountain it's quite a

stack and uh as it there's two big

chunks of meat on it as well so yeah

it's quite filling I think this is going

to be my new way to have a sandwich at

home I'm not the biggest fan of bread

and this this is perfect and again just

it makes you taste more flavors I think

and it's not overkilled by Bread you can

also get them with like loads of

different toppings um I just went for

this one just because I think it's the

traditional one the Danish meatballs but

I've seen some in there with like salmon

and loads of what toppins like so

there's quite a variety of them that you

can get but yeah I think I went for the

right one

something that's I'm not sure how Danish

it is but it is very popular in

Copenhagen it's a pistachio crossant so

um yeah they sell them here this is

supposed to be the best place to get

them in town so we thought we go and

check it out also it's quite popular

right so we've come to a lovely little

Park it's actually quite near to the

bakery and we decided to get it as a

takeaway cuz it is quite busy it's quite

a popular Bakery but uh they they gave

us it in a little takeaway box it was

$6.99 in Euro but I thought that was

expensive but it is the signature sort

of dish I suppose or cake do you know

what I mean for the shop H it's really

popular a lot of people were ordering it

but uh here it is here I'm really I'm

dying to try

it it looks lovely and it smells really

good one between two is the general way

that we do it on these food videos we

just it just makes sense and we learned

the hard way didn't we we used to do one

each but after one you're stuffed you

never finish it and then it costs more

money so it's a good money saver share

right time to dig in pistachio is all

over my finger

already oh that tastes good right let's

have a

bite that is really really good the

crossant is proper crispy exactly the

way I love them and then the pistachio

on the inside it's really like a thck

cream so the textures just go really

really well together and there's like a

few little sort of pistachio bits then

on the outer layer of the crossant as

well it's really luscious I guess it's

going to be really filling so I'm glad

that we did get it between us it's quite

big look at the size of

it that's gorgeous trying to get more

into the middle of it to get a good bite

of the

pistachio but as you can see look how

thick it

is oh yes I can see why they're so

popular like almost everyone in the

queue in that shop was ordering these

they did sell a few few different types

of cakes but like this seem to be the

one that is beautiful I love pistachio

it's one of my favorite flavors it's

really flaky to pastry and then as M

said the combination between the

crossant and then the cream is just yeah

that's a recommendation from us

for something a bit more fun I suppose

if you want to say so we're here now at

the second oldest amusement park in the

world it's called The tiv Gardens and

it's right here in the city center in

Copenhagen which I think is really

unique to have a te Park in a city

center so so we read online this team

Park goes back to

1843 so yeah really old and supposedly

it has like one of the oldest I think

wooden roller coasters so yeah we're

going to buy a ticket we're at the

entrance right here and we're going to

just walk in and see sort of what riots

they have and just have fun

okay this place is really cool we're

having a little walk around there

gorgeous flowers all over the place we

also seeing some cherry blossom trees

which is interesting cuz I didn't know

that Denmark had cherry blosom trees we

went all the way to Japan and we didn't

get to see them well yeah it's beautiful

to walk around isn't it it's very

vintage and old school retro it's kind

of it's like torted back to time or

something back in time sorry because

it's h it is a team Park but it's not

like the ones that we'd be used to

supposedly as well I read up that Disney

was really influenced by this same park

so yeah that's really interesting we can

see some roller coasters there some

quite big rides you hear the

screams this seems to be the big one

here about the screams

are you ready for it it's so funny

because since we've been in Copenhagen

we've been kind of walking on the

outsides of this and the first time we

walk by you just hear these people

screaming we were like what the hell is

that but then you see the the roller

coasters and the big swings and stuff

from the outside you know exactly that

it's a team Park but yeah the

screams oh yeah it's really cool I said

it already but that it's like in the

center of Copenhagen

so just on prices we actually paid an

entrance fee of €18 each in and that's

without any rides included so just we

can walk around and then if we want to

add on we can add on an unlimited ride

pass and that works out as an extra40 so

in total it's like 58 which isn't

actually so bad for a team Park and you

can ride anything unlimited as many

times as you want or if you weren't

really into the rides and there's only

one or two that you want to get on you

can just pay individually onto them so

it's great the way they give you that

sort of option ready to ride our first

roller coaster so we're going to go on

the oldest wooden one in the world I

think it is or one of the oldest but

this one is really unique so it actually

has a guy that sits in the middle of the

cart and he controls the speeds so yeah

very old how' you feel about that K I

feel a bit H suspect after eating all

that field now getting on a roller

coaster but we'll see St this should be

good and there's no kills as well I

think we're right at the top here

now that's crazy so we're trusting him

to control the

was definitely time for a beer we've

come to a bodega I think is how you say

it which is a traditional Danish pu H so

the closest one that we came to was

about 3 minutes from the team Park so we

just popped out for a b here but uh I'll

just read the description of what

actually a bodega is it's a musty and

hazy lowkey and friendly dim kind of

place to drink and there is an

overwhelming smell of beer and heavy

tobacco and low ceilings wooden walls so

I kind of think it's like an old school

retro kind of Pub but uh the one that

we've come to although it is but take it

doesn't I don't think it's the best

representation of it but uh it's still

kind of cool to see I'd say maybe in the

outer SAR of the city you might find a

bit more authentic ones but uh yeah

we've come in for a beer and we've gone

for the che bar classic which I believe

you can only get in Denmark so you can

get chew bog around the world but I

think the chew bog classic is one that

you can only get in

Denmark cheers

cheers and the price for the two bears

was 130 Corona which is about

750 so yeah not bad now other people

that are watching might think that's

expensive if you're not from Europe

maybe for a beer but H we're comparing

it to like Ireland

prices so yeah the beer has gone really

expensive in Ireland and they're on the

way to these type of

prices can you

that oh it's so windy out I tell you

there was no season so it's absolutely

rammed in there I think the overall

feeling about Copenhagen is that we both

I think we love it I think it's a really

really good City to visit especially um

for European city it is one of our

favorites H we're a little bit surprised

how much we like it not that we had any

sort of negative feelings towards it but

I think it is a lovely city to come and

visit um it's also a for us anyway it

was a very cheap City to come and visit

our flights from Dublin were €20 each

way per person which is an absolute

steal but yeah in the summer I'd say

this place is really really nice I think

we will come back for sure in warmer

weather our accommodation that we're

staying in is the next house Copenhagen

and there's an Irish guy that actually

work there he's been living here for 3

years and he says Copenhagen in the

summer is a really special place to be

because Denmark wouldn't you know

normally get great weather it's kind of

a the summer really is the only time

their Winters and springs can be quite

similar cold windy rainy so the summer

is where everyone sort of lets loose a

little bit and he said that the people

actually uh I wouldn't say he said go

crazy but they become happier and

they're always you know outdoors and

there's a lot of drinking going on a lot

of socializing of course the city has

loads of these rivers that run on true

so a lot of people hang out by them and

just kind of have a good time enjoy

themselves and enjoy the nice weather he

said that Danish people earn their good

weather because for the rest of the year

as I said it's cold windy and rainy so I

think the summer will be a good time to

come back to Copenhagen
