Outlines
🗺️ AI Tool for Architectural Mapping
The speaker introduces an AI tool for creating vector layered maps without the need for GIS software. They start by creating a new project on the AI map website, searching for Camden town, and marking the design site. They then use the AI to generate a 500-meter radius around the site and create layers of information such as buildings, commercial buildings, schools, transportation, and solid void analysis. The tool allows for easy editing of colors and styles directly within the platform, and the ability to export or embed maps in various formats without needing additional editing in other software.
🌆 Analyzing Population Density and Sharing Maps
In this paragraph, the speaker discusses using the AI tool to analyze population density in Camden town compared to London as a whole. They adjust gradient colors for clarity and access specific population data by clicking on different areas. The speaker then shares the map with their team, exports it as a PDF and SVG for further editing in Adobe Illustrator, and suggests exporting individual layers as PNG images for integration into presentations. They conclude by recommending the AI map tool as a time-saving resource.

Transcripts
in this video I will introduce an AI
tool for architecture mapping which
allows you to obtain Vector layered maps
without the need for
GIS first I create a new project on the
AI map
website my design site is in Camden town
so I start by searching for the location
after Double clicking the result I zoom
in to the site
area I use the pin tool to mark my
design site and then begin creating a
mapping analysis around it in the search
bar I enter the prompt 500 M radius
around site to be more specific I use a
slash in the prompt like this slash pin
the AI generates a 500 M radius around
the site next I'll ask the AI to create
various layers of information within
this area first I need information about
buildings in the area so I type
buildings 500 M radius in the search bar
the AI then generates a building layer
within my specified area when I zoom in
and click on a single building I can
check out detailed information such as
building use number of levels and
sometimes even household
numbers I can easily edit the color of
the content on the layer by clicking the
design
option there's no need to export them as
SVG files and redesign in Adobe
Illustrator I can change the fill and
stroke color Direct directly here there
are many options for the Bas map the
clean Bas map Styles allow me to export
or embed them in my website providing a
polished look without needing further
editing in
Photoshop let me continue gathering
information about my design area I want
AI to mark up commercial buildings
within the
area traditionally I would need to
download GIS information import it into
GIS software and then filter the data to
separate the layers but now I need to
ask AI for what I want by clicking on a
single building I can view its data set
I can extract or filter the data using
the design tool on the layer I'll change
the fill color of the commercial
buildings to Red for better
Clarity just like with the commercial
buildings I'll ask the AI to identify
schools within the 500 met
radius next I'll analyze the
transportation around my design site by
typing metro st/ 500m area the AI
generates all station points and station
names within the specified data
set I could even ask the AI to generate
a 15-minute walk radius around my design
site traditionally I would need to
download Road data and perform
calculations in GIS but now the AI
handles it for me
by clicking the layer info I can see the
area number as
well I can drag this layer to the bottom
and hide it for now then unhide it later
for the
presentation for architecture site
analysis we often include solid void
analysis so I want to get more solid
buildings around my design site
let's set the radius to 1,000
M next I will ask the AI to export the
buildings within a 1,000 M
radius after getting the buildings later
I want to differentiate the buildings by
changing the color for larger area
buildings to be lighter than those in
the
center next I would like to analyze
several spaces and zones around the site
first I'll search for parks and green
spaces within a 1,000 M radius
after selecting the layer I'll change
the color to light
green then I'll extract Road data within
a 500 met
radius and visualize it using a heat map
by adjusting the visualization style in
the design
menu lastly I'll gather land use
information around the site by clicking
on each Zone I can identify if it's
residential commercial Etc from the
database I'll move the land use layer to
the
bottom and change its color to a very
light
yellow finally I want to compare the
overall population density map of London
to understand the population
distribution around the design
site I'll adjust the gradient colors for
better
Clarity with this information I can
discern that the population density in
Camden town is relatively High compared
to London
overall by clicking on each area I can
access specific population data Within
These regions now that I have gathered
all the necessary layers for my site
analysis I can share them with my team
by clicking the share button this allows
us to collaborate on the project
together the map can be exported as
geodata a PNG image or a vector
file for further editing an illustrator
I will export the map as a PDF and
download it as an SVG
file this ensures I can work on on
detailed modifications and enhancements
seamlessly once I open the SVG file in
illustrator I have access to all the
layers as Vector
Elements by double clicking the file and
releasing the clipping mask I can edit
each layer
individually personally I prefer to
export each information layer such as
the building layer as a PNG image and
then integrate them into PowerPoint for
mapping analysis presentation
I highly recommend trying out this AI
map tool it's a real timesaver
