play00:32

throw from hide Park I cannot wait to

play00:35

show you around our clients got in touch

play00:37

with us 9 months ago and asked us to

play00:40

completely redecorate this entire

play00:42

townhouse and we had a very short

play00:44

deadline to do it the house had been

play00:46

refurbished just before our clients

play00:47

bought it but it wasn't to their taste

play00:50

so they engaged us to update the

play00:51

Interiors make it Uber luxurious and

play00:54

furnish it exactly to their style so

play00:56

come and join me while I take you around

play01:00

[Music]

play01:02

I feel very lucky that UFO 3 by foro

play01:05

Sweden have partnered with us once again

play01:07

to sponsor today's video if you haven't

play01:09

heard of the ufo3 it is a deep hydration

play01:13

skincare device and I've been using this

play01:16

for nearly 12 months and I've noticed a

play01:17

huge difference in my skin and it's

play01:20

become a firm favorite of my skincare

play01:22

routine how it works is you can get

play01:26

multiple different types of sheet masks

play01:28

that they also sell today I'm going to

play01:30

use the Green te- Sheet mask you

play01:32

literally just clip that in at the top

play01:35

and then you can select using the

play01:36

universal button on the front you can

play01:38

tap that and every time you tap that it

play01:40

will take you to one of the different

play01:41

treatments that are pre-programmed into

play01:43

the UFO 3 so I'm going to use the

play01:46

treatment that has the red light the red

play01:49

LED light and this also has a warming

play01:52

setting and the t-sonic and then you

play01:55

just literally just do gentle circular

play01:57

motions across your face

play02:00

for the duration of the treatment which

play02:02

takes 90 seconds and in the 12 months or

play02:05

the almost 12 months that I've been

play02:06

using it I've noticed a big difference

play02:08

in my skin I think it looks a lot more

play02:10

glowy it feels more hydrated and I think

play02:13

the extra moisture in my skin is helping

play02:15

reduce the appearance of wrinkles so

play02:17

that is a big win in my opinion if you

play02:20

would like to try the UFO 3 for yourself

play02:23

or maybe one of your loved ones now is a

play02:25

good time to try it because it's very

play02:27

play02:32

play02:51

results let me know in the comments

play02:53

below how you get on with it and thank

play02:55

you to UFO 3 by foro Sweden for

play02:58

sponsoring today's video

play03:00

[Music]

play03:02

this project is quite unusual in the

play03:04

fact that it wasn't a complete

play03:05

refurbishment for us so we've retained

play03:07

some elements of the previous

play03:09

refurbishment including the flooring the

play03:11

bathrooms and some joinery but we've

play03:13

made lots of updates throughout our

play03:15

client really wanted us to ramp up the

play03:17

luxury in here so we're starting off in

play03:19

the entrance hall and this really sets

play03:21

the tone for the whole property it's

play03:23

very Timeless very classic and very

play03:26

Grand things that we did in here is we

play03:28

updated the lighting

play03:30

this is one of my favorite light

play03:31

pendants from jam and I really wanted to

play03:34

create a moment here as you walk through

play03:36

the double front doors that you just

play03:38

pause and you can gather your thoughts

play03:40

before you move through to the rest of

play03:41

the house so we've done a small pedestal

play03:44

table and this particular table is an

play03:47

antique and this was again something

play03:49

that the client was really Keen to do

play03:51

involve lots of antiques into the scheme

play03:53

and we've combined that throughout with

play03:55

some contemporary Furnishings as well so

play03:58

behind me here we have this design that

play04:00

we have designed inhouse it's similar to

play04:03

one that we've used in the Gulf we've

play04:05

just changed the color of the Timber

play04:06

slightly and this has got a slightly

play04:08

more practical application because we're

play04:10

always balancing luxury with

play04:12

practicality you can see in here we've

play04:15

got lots of shoe shelves there's plenty

play04:17

of storage as soon as the guests come in

play04:19

they can take their shoes off before

play04:20

entering the rest of the house I

play04:23

absolutely love this mother of pearl

play04:24

finish that we've done on the doors as

play04:27

well the layering in this project was

play04:29

really important the client wanted it to

play04:31

feel very heavily layered very fully

play04:35

dressed and so we've done all of the

play04:36

artwork and all of the accessories

play04:38

throughout some of my favorite pieces in

play04:40

here include these prints that are

play04:42

limited edition that we have above this

play04:44

unit and we're always trying to make

play04:46

sure that we're considering small

play04:47

details like the fact that the frames

play04:49

match the Timber on this piece of

play04:52

furniture and then if we pan around here

play04:55

you can see this is one of our um

play04:57

Oakleaf pieces of art from the fental

play04:59

collection we're actually very close to

play05:02

one of London's Parks here just a Stones

play05:04

throwaway and so we really want to bring

play05:06

that feeling of nature into the home so

play05:08

you'll notice throughout there's a lot

play05:10

of color schemes that are inspired by

play05:12

nature and a lot of natural

play05:14

[Music]

play05:21

motifs off to the side of the entrance

play05:23

hall you walk through these huge double

play05:25

doors and you have the reception room

play05:27

this is the grandest and most impressive

play05:29

room room in the whole house and I

play05:31

absolutely love how it's turned out our

play05:33

client loves to entertain in large scale

play05:36

and so their main request from us was

play05:38

that we maximize seating in this room

play05:41

normally when you're designing a room

play05:42

like this where you have a big feature

play05:46

like the fireplace behind me I would

play05:48

like to do symmetry on the furniture

play05:50

layout in front of this that would be

play05:52

two sofas opposite each other with maybe

play05:55

some armchairs as you walk in but that

play05:57

really wouldn't have fulfilled our

play05:58

client's request of Max iing seating so

play06:01

here I've broken away from the cemetery

play06:03

and I've done a beautiful curved sofa

play06:05

that fills this bay window at the front

play06:07

of the property and really expands that

play06:10

whole seating area and allowed us to

play06:11

fill a lot more seating into this room

play06:14

some of my favorite features in here

play06:16

include the wallpaper try not to knock

play06:19

the candle over we've added this

play06:21

beautiful silk wallpaper and a kind of

play06:24

truffle color and I just love silk

play06:26

wallpaper in a drawing room because it

play06:27

really gives that cocooning lux ious

play06:30

feel that we really wanted to create

play06:31

here and it's a beautiful color against

play06:33

the lighter

play06:35

joinery all this joinery was existing

play06:38

when the client first showed us this

play06:40

property but it was in a very orangey

play06:42

color you can see the color on the floor

play06:44

because it was exact same color as the

play06:46

timber that we have on the floor and

play06:48

whilst I was happy to retain it on the

play06:50

floor cuz I think it adds some beautiful

play06:51

warmth and it's a beautiful quality

play06:53

flooring I felt that it was too much on

play06:55

the joinery as well so what we did here

play06:58

was we watered down a paint and we had a

play07:01

decorator refinish all the joinery and

play07:04

then we've added this beautiful calacata

play07:06

Oro at the back you can see we picked

play07:08

one that picks out those beautiful olive

play07:10

green tones that we've got in some of

play07:11

the fabrics and furnishings and that's

play07:13

really elevated that whole wall and I

play07:16

think it looks beautiful now one key

play07:18

aspect that makes this layout and this

play07:20

room successful is the fact that we've

play07:22

mixed up all the types of upholstery and

play07:24

seating so it doesn't become too

play07:26

repetitive so we've got the curved sofa

play07:28

in the bay window we have this small

play07:30

traditional armchair next to the

play07:32

fireplace as you walk in you can see

play07:35

we've got these very ornate beautiful

play07:37

benches stools and these are a design

play07:40

that we've created for Loom Furniture so

play07:42

these will be launching later this year

play07:44

and what I think works with these is the

play07:46

fact they're quite small and they don't

play07:48

sort of stop you from looking into the

play07:50

room they're just for sort of occasional

play07:52

seating and they look really beautiful

play07:53

as you walk in another big change we

play07:56

made in this room was removing some

play07:58

bfold doors that we had that separated

play08:00

these two reception rooms and the reason

play08:03

we did that was because it really

play08:04

stopped us doing the furniture layouts

play08:06

that would work for our client and how

play08:08

they want to use the space as I said

play08:10

earlier they really want to have lots

play08:11

and lots of seating so by keeping the

play08:13

bfold doors we wouldn't have been able

play08:15

to have this sofa here or the bench on

play08:17

the other side and our client loves to

play08:19

the idea of having big gatherings and so

play08:21

we've created this double living room

play08:24

space where you can have lots of

play08:25

different grouping so if they have a

play08:27

party you might have a gathering here

play08:29

you'd have a gathering back there but

play08:31

you're all still in the same space so

play08:33

it's perfect for large scale

play08:37

entertaining this is probably my

play08:39

favorite seating area in this whole

play08:41

reception room we templated the curve of

play08:44

this bay window and we created this

play08:46

curved bench and we combined it with an

play08:48

antique table and this is really an area

play08:51

where the clients can sit have afternoon

play08:53

tea maybe have small informal meals and

play08:57

it's just mixing up the different types

play08:58

of seating we didn't want to do too many

play09:00

sofas we really wanted to think about

play09:01

how they might want to use this space

play09:03

and for me this is the perfect solution

play09:05

cuz you're slightly elevated and you can

play09:07

look out across the

play09:11

gardens as always the lighting was

play09:13

really important in this room we wanted

play09:15

lots of beautiful layers of lighting and

play09:17

the fixtures themselves were

play09:18

particularly important to our client she

play09:20

wanted to have very glamorous ornate

play09:23

chandeliers and so we had these two in

play09:25

both reception rooms custom made for our

play09:28

client and we even added extra crystals

play09:31

to make them even more glistening we've

play09:34

then added onto that lots of layers of

play09:36

lighting with wool lights table lamps

play09:38

floor lamps and even some cute little

play09:41

lamps that sit on each fireplace that

play09:43

give a nice little addition of Light

play09:45

Above

play09:48

there and whilst we're looking at the

play09:50

fireplace this was one of my favorite

play09:52

tricks that we did our client only

play09:54

wanted to have original artwork in this

play09:57

room but we also needed somewhere to put

play09:59

the TV where the sofa that views the TV

play10:02

is quite far away we were able to put it

play10:04

above the fireplace if your sofa's too

play10:07

close it can be a bit awkward but as

play10:08

long as you've got enough distance it's

play10:10

fine so we created a custom painting

play10:15

that lifts up and reveals their

play10:17

TV we had the artists actually directly

play10:20

paint onto the canvas to allow us to do

play10:22

that and a lot of people have said It

play10:24

reminds them of the Banky painting where

play10:26

it went to auction I think it sold for

play10:28

about 14 million and then went straight

play10:29

through a shredder well luckily this one

play10:31

didn't cost 14 million and it doesn't go

play10:33

through a

play10:37

shredder what I think works so well

play10:39

about this room and what I particularly

play10:41

love about it is the fact that we've

play10:42

created this very Grand impressive room

play10:45

but it's still supremely comfortable and

play10:47

we've got so many little moments that

play10:49

you could just envisage the client

play10:51

enjoying from this chessboard with the

play10:54

two armchairs I can just see them having

play10:55

a lovely game of chess in front of the

play10:57

warm fireplace and then if they're

play10:59

having a party they've got the perfect

play11:03

feature over here through this joinery

play11:05

we refinished all this and did a liquid

play11:07

bronze metal finish which I think looks

play11:10

beautiful but even better they have a

play11:12

dumb waiter on the inside so they can

play11:14

just push a button and have all their

play11:15

drinks and canopies

play11:17

[Music]

play11:20

delivered the quality of the Furnishings

play11:23

fabrics and finishes was really

play11:24

important to our client and especially

play11:26

with the rugs they were really Keen to

play11:28

know that they would be supremely

play11:30

luxurious so we had these rugs all

play11:32

custom made and custom designed for this

play11:34

project they were all made in Paris and

play11:37

I love how we've got the different

play11:38

beautiful colors coming through lots of

play11:40

different textures from the flat texture

play11:43

of the main part which is a beautiful

play11:45

taupe to the silky green olive tones in

play11:47

the

play11:49

pattern now before we move on to the

play11:51

next room I just want to give a moment

play11:53

to the accessories and the steing in

play11:55

this room I think this whole project

play11:57

really shows how important that final

play11:59

styling and accessories is if I had a

play12:01

pound for every time a client told me

play12:03

they don't want any accessories and then

play12:04

later changes their mind when they see

play12:06

it without I'd be able to retire so in

play12:09

here we have a beautiful array of

play12:12

objects from photo frames vases even

play12:15

antique books that we've sourced for our

play12:17

client right down to the artwork boxes

play12:20

candles all of these items really make

play12:23

the house feel like a home and it's so

play12:25

important

play12:26

[Music]

play12:45

[Music]

play12:52

off to the rear of the reception room

play12:54

you walk through a small door and we are

play12:56

now in the study and this study is quite

play12:58

unusual for the fact that there is no

play13:00

desk the reason we didn't do a desk in

play13:03

here is all because of the client's

play13:05

brief when you're designing a space You

play13:07

shouldn't just do what you think is

play13:08

expected you should design for how the

play13:10

client's going to use the room and in

play13:13

here this client only wants to use this

play13:16

space for Zoom calls so you can see

play13:18

we've done a TV screen which we've um

play13:21

put into the Joiner and then in front we

play13:24

have this lovely velvet sofa where he

play13:27

can sit relax and do Zoom calls whilst

play13:30

he runs all his businesses across the

play13:32

globe things that we've done in this

play13:34

room include refinishing all the joinery

play13:37

as with all the joinery that we've

play13:40

retained throughout the house we've

play13:41

refinished it this was that same orange

play13:44

that we see on the floor but we've

play13:46

stained it a lot darker and then in this

play13:48

recess where we have the TV we've lined

play13:51

this with an emprador marble just to

play13:53

really add some more interest more

play13:55

materials and luxury and then I don't

play13:57

know if you can see because we hung art

play14:00

from the front of the shelves using

play14:02

these gorgeous um poles and chains which

play14:04

is something that you'll see repeated

play14:06

throughout this house um we've also done

play14:08

some linen Herring bone wallpaper behind

play14:11

that the reason why we've hung art from

play14:13

chains is we wanted to give that real

play14:15

sort of opulent feel almost like a

play14:17

gentleman's club and there really isn't

play14:20

that many wall spaces in a room like

play14:22

this so without hanging the art from

play14:24

those chains we wouldn't have had an

play14:25

opportunity to put art in here over this

play14:28

side of the room like I said earlier

play14:29

we've done a big sofa we really wanted

play14:32

to maximize luxury in here so we've gone

play14:34

for this gorgeous velvet on the sofa and

play14:37

we've laided it with some beautiful

play14:38

cushions I love this linen the

play14:40

combination of linen and velvet for me

play14:42

is timeless and we've even done a

play14:45

monogrammed throw with the client's

play14:48

initials um over the

play14:51

sofa to ensure that the room is useful

play14:54

for how he wants to spend his time in

play14:57

here he loves to smoke cigars so we've

play14:59

made sure we've done a really good over

play15:00

the sofa table so you can have your

play15:02

ashtray there and sit back and relax

play15:05

whilst you're doing a zoom call

play15:07

[Music]

play15:14

perfect this property is very unusual in

play15:16

the fact that it has two primary

play15:18

bedrooms which works perfectly for our

play15:20

client this is the more masculine I

play15:23

would say of the two bedrooms although

play15:25

it's still a great balance between

play15:27

feminine and masculine influence

play15:29

the color palette is a lot richer and

play15:31

darker than the other bedroom but the

play15:34

starting point for the design scheme was

play15:36

this wallpaper which is the Magnolia

play15:39

canopy from our collection with fental

play15:41

our client had followed us for quite a

play15:43

while and was very familiar with all of

play15:45

our Collections and absolutely loved

play15:48

this chinoiserie collection and wanted

play15:49

as much of it as possible throughout the

play15:51

house what I love about this colorway is

play15:53

that it adds so much character to the

play15:55

room but when it came to the actual

play15:57

designing of this space the biggest

play15:59

challenge we faced which sounds unusual

play16:02

because it's such a big bedroom but in

play16:03

some ways having too much space can

play16:05

challenge you in how to use the space

play16:08

and when our client first bought this

play16:09

property the bed which is now behind me

play16:12

was actually in this part of the room

play16:14

and what I wanted to do during the

play16:16

design process with my client was

play16:18

explore all different layout options

play16:20

because you don't necessarily want to go

play16:22

with what the previous owner or the

play16:23

Builder has deemed the best use of the

play16:25

Space by moving the bed from this area

play16:28

to the back space of the bedroom not

play16:31

only does it separate it from the

play16:32

entrance which is in front of me I never

play16:35

like to walk straight into a bedroom and

play16:37

see the bed immediately if I can avoid

play16:38

it but it also allowed us to put a much

play16:41

bigger bed previously it was a super

play16:43

king in this area which was the maximum

play16:45

size that we could F but by moving it

play16:47

back there we've managed to expand it to

play16:49

an emperor size which works really well

play16:50

for our client with the floor plan

play16:53

complete and knowing where we were going

play16:54

to put all the big pieces of furniture

play16:56

the next job was to choose the items

play16:59

themselves and for the bed with it being

play17:01

such a large piece in the room I really

play17:02

wanted it to have maximum drama we went

play17:05

for a ceiling mounted canopy and what

play17:08

was really important to our client was

play17:09

that it didn't take up too much space so

play17:11

we worked really hard to choose a fabric

play17:13

that would have very neat pleat and

play17:15

would sit very nicely against the bed

play17:18

not billowing out too much like a ball

play17:20

gown what I like about doing a sealing

play17:23

mounted canopy as opposed to a

play17:24

fourposter bed is when it comes to

play17:27

making the bed you don't have to sort of

play17:29

with a post in the corner to make the

play17:31

bed and Tuck the sheets in everything

play17:33

sort of moves out the way quite well and

play17:35

I think it's a slightly more

play17:36

contemporary take on a full poster bed I

play17:39

knew in this room that our client loved

play17:40

Antiques and we'd have the opportunity

play17:42

to use some really beautiful Richwood

play17:44

Antiques and so I wanted to bring that

play17:46

color across into this side of the

play17:48

bedroom so we've gone for this very bold

play17:51

I would call this color rust headboard

play17:53

um and it's a really beautiful contrast

play17:55

against the softer darker colors of the

play17:57

wallpaper I at it doesn't make sense

play18:00

this isn't a normal color combination

play18:02

that you choose but when you see it as a

play18:04

whole room and you can see the beautiful

play18:06

antiques that we have throughout and the

play18:07

rich Woods that we have on the bedside

play18:09

table in context it all really works one

play18:13

thing that I get asked a lot about on

play18:15

this channel is what mattresses I

play18:17

recommend and I really think it's

play18:19

important to invest in your mattress

play18:21

it's not a truly luxurious interor if

play18:23

you don't have a good quality mattress

play18:25

and you're not getting a good night's

play18:26

sleep so in this project project and

play18:29

almost all of our clients homes we use

play18:32

Vice spring mattresses and I wanted to

play18:34

show you what that looks like so we've

play18:36

got the pillow top here and then

play18:38

underneath you can see the mattress

play18:40

itself this is the herald superb

play18:43

mattress that we've gone for in all the

play18:45

bedrooms it's supremely comfortable and

play18:47

it's filled with 100% natural materials

play18:50

and what I love about this is it's such

play18:52

good quality and it's all made in the UK

play18:55

and then look at the level of detail

play18:58

that you've got here as as well I love

play18:59

these little button details so you can

play19:01

attach the topper and then you just

play19:03

button it up using this little button

play19:04

that's made of wood so that is what is

play19:07

under all of the beds that you can see

play19:08

that are beautifully made in this

play19:12

property at the end of the bed we have

play19:14

this really compact sitting area and we

play19:17

didn't need to worry about fitting too

play19:18

much seating in here but it was more

play19:20

about making it a space that looked nice

play19:23

and of course was functional as well our

play19:25

client wanted to have a TV so we mounted

play19:27

a TV above the fireplace and we've

play19:30

finished it off with this beautiful

play19:32

liquid metal bronze frame I don't really

play19:35

like seeing down the sides of TV so this

play19:37

was a really nice way to finish that off

play19:39

and then for the furniture we've gone

play19:41

for a matching pair of armchairs and

play19:43

we've got a little reading light and

play19:45

this makes perfect sense CU youve got

play19:46

the open shells with books it's the

play19:48

perfect spot to sit down and have read a

play19:50

book and then as we walk across the room

play19:54

over to this side this is the main

play19:56

sitting area so here again we've got

play19:59

another TV everything in this house is

play20:02

completely personalized to the client

play20:03

not many people would want two TVs in

play20:06

their bedroom but this works for the

play20:08

client because each room is almost like

play20:10

a mini apartment they can sit here it's

play20:11

like a sitting area watch a movie and

play20:14

during the day you don't really want to

play20:15

sit in your bed and watch a movie so

play20:16

we've got a beautiful antique and this

play20:19

was the color that I was talking about

play20:20

earlier when I was looking at the

play20:22

headboard you can see it really picks up

play20:24

those same brush tones so the beautiful

play20:26

mahogany word and for the marble we were

play20:28

delighted when we found this piece I

play20:30

love choosing antiques because you get

play20:32

so much variety and it really adds like

play20:35

uniqueness to your project and then

play20:37

we've taken that same idea of marble

play20:39

down onto the coffee table but in a much

play20:42

more contemporary way love this coffee

play20:45

table again it's a really interesting

play20:47

marble slightly different but it's got

play20:48

those same warm tones with the green

play20:51

this is a calacata viola and it's much

play20:53

more simple and paired back with just

play20:55

the very sort of geometric shape and the

play20:57

thin metal legs

play20:59

behind the sofa we needed to add another

play21:01

bank of wardrobes there is a walk-in

play21:04

wardrobe but it wasn't quite enough

play21:05

storage for our client and so we decided

play21:08

to clad the front of the doors in the

play21:10

same wallpaper as the rest of the room

play21:13

the beautiful Magnolia canopy and it

play21:15

helps it sort of disappear away it would

play21:17

be quite unusual to have a sofa sat in

play21:19

front of you know wood wardrobes it

play21:21

would look a bit clunky but where this

play21:23

is such a beautiful backdrop it makes

play21:25

much more sense um if you do love this

play21:28

wall covering obviously it's available

play21:30

as a

play21:31

wallpaper um but if you would like to

play21:33

have a little bit of it we also sell it

play21:35

as framed artwork so I'll drop the link

play21:36

for that in the description box and then

play21:39

we finished the doors off beautifully

play21:41

you can see each one has a bronze trim

play21:43

that runs around the perimeter of the

play21:44

door and we've matched that to the

play21:47

handles these are the Grove handles from

play21:49

our Arc Martin collection I think they

play21:51

work so well with the wallpaper because

play21:53

obviously it's two natural

play21:55

references for the wardrobes and joinery

play21:57

in general there's always a mixed

play21:59

consensus about whether you should take

play22:00

them all the way to the ceiling or leave

play22:02

a gap I like both options but here we've

play22:05

decided to leave a gap and then do an

play22:07

LED strip to uplight it because it was

play22:09

another opportunity to add some soft

play22:11

lighting and some glow into this

play22:14

room when it comes to wallpapering and

play22:16

especially with something as special as

play22:18

this silk shinery wallpaper you need to

play22:20

make sure that you have an installer

play22:22

that really knows what they're doing has

play22:23

got experience of having done it before

play22:26

don't just take their word for it make

play22:27

sure you check that they really have in

play22:29

installed wallpapers like this before

play22:31

because it's not like installing a

play22:32

normal wallpaper I remember having quite

play22:35

a few site meetings with the installers

play22:37

and the main contractor about this

play22:39

particular detail because we knew we

play22:41

needed to wrap the wallpaper around the

play22:43

door we didn't want to have a raar edge

play22:45

here and I'm so happy with how they've

play22:47

executed this what they did is they

play22:49

wrapped it around this front panel and

play22:51

then they've added this trim here

play22:52

there's no way that this has a raar edge

play22:54

it's not going to get frayed or damaged

play22:56

over time and it just looks really

play22:58

pleasing

play22:59

for the window treatments when I've gone

play23:01

for a darker or bold wall covering I

play23:03

really love to do a paired back curtain

play23:06

and I love how the ivory of this fabric

play23:09

pops against the wallpaper and we've

play23:11

mixed up the Fabrics because these are

play23:12

just dress curtains to add a sense of

play23:14

grandeur in the room but it's the Roman

play23:16

blind that works and I wanted to mix up

play23:19

the fabric so that there was a bit more

play23:20

detail I think if there was a matching

play23:22

pair of curtains and a matching R and

play23:24

blind it would feel too plain but this

play23:26

one has just the perfect amount of

play23:28

subtle pattern with the damasque pattern

play23:30

on this and then we've doubled that up

play23:32

with a sheer curtain which is perfect

play23:34

when you're City living and you need

play23:36

privacy during the day as well as

play23:38

night nestled between the sitting area

play23:42

of the bedroom and the bed area of the

play23:44

bedroom we have this dressing table and

play23:47

it felt like the perfect placement

play23:48

because it's the first thing you see as

play23:50

you walk into the room this is opposite

play23:51

the door we've gone for a more

play23:53

contemporary design because I love

play23:55

mixing up the Styles and it sits really

play23:57

nicely against the antique for dressing

play23:59

it we've gone for a porter Rana light

play24:01

this is one of my favorites I love the

play24:03

elegant onean neck a ornate mirror on

play24:06

the wall and then we've added an extra

play24:09

mirror this is from our arac Martin

play24:11

collection and this one's much more

play24:13

functional so you can do your makeup and

play24:14

your hair in this

play24:16

[Music]

play24:22

one we are finishing part one of this

play24:25

project T up on the top floor which is

play24:28

the floor now before I take you into one

play24:30

of the bedrooms I just wanted to give a

play24:31

moment to this Landing I really love

play24:33

some of the playful Furniture we've done

play24:35

here like this chair which looks quite

play24:38

simple from the front but when you see

play24:39

it from the side it's this kind of like

play24:41

folded design and we wanted to make the

play24:43

most of the fact that this Landing is

play24:44

quite large so we've also done a big

play24:46

sideboards they've got extra storage for

play24:48

all their toys and a gorgeous antique

play24:51

map of London above so let's get started

play24:53

in bedroom number

play24:55

one these rooms are up in the e of this

play24:58

building they have some sloped ceilings

play25:01

and sloped walls and whenever I'm

play25:02

designing a room that has unusually

play25:04

shaped walls I always like to do either

play25:06

a bold wallpaper or a color paint so it

play25:09

kind of distracts from all the different

play25:11

shapes and angles that you're getting

play25:13

and it almost makes a feature of them if

play25:15

I'm doing wallpaper I also like to

play25:17

wallpaper into the recess of the windows

play25:20

if there's any nooks and crannies I

play25:22

think it looks a lot more considered

play25:23

than just having a feature wall or just

play25:25

doing the walls and forgetting about

play25:27

those small areas

play25:29

this corner is a really good example of

play25:30

where we've done that so you can see

play25:31

we've taken the wallpaper right in to

play25:33

this shelving area and we've also gone

play25:36

through to the window reveal so we

play25:38

haven't just done the front face of the

play25:39

wall but we've gone in and it looks so

play25:41

much more tailored a little trick that I

play25:44

use when I'm designing kids bedrooms and

play25:46

I want them to fill at once playful but

play25:48

sophisticated is using fun shapes in the

play25:51

Furnishings so here you can see I've

play25:53

used a bobbin framed mirror which is

play25:56

really playful and I love that and then

play25:58

I've taken that same organic curv shape

play26:00

onto the headboard really love this

play26:03

shape it's got a timber frame and the

play26:05

bouay fabric also feels quite playful it

play26:07

kind of reminds me of a teddy bear and

play26:09

then these wall lights I'll just switch

play26:11

these

play26:12

on Echo that same shapes there's a lot

play26:15

of different um shapes going on in here

play26:17

but they all work together really well

play26:19

and give that playful element without

play26:20

feeling too

play26:21

childlike we took inspiration from the

play26:24

local landscape of Hyde Park into the

play26:27

artwork we've used lots of Botanicals

play26:29

for the artwork and this really inspired

play26:32

the color scheme as well you can see

play26:33

we've taking those same green tones down

play26:35

onto the table lamps and the slightly

play26:37

warmer rust colors onto the headboard

play26:41

and then same with the cushions we've

play26:43

got lots of natural motifs and this

play26:45

Echoes around the

play26:47

[Music]

play26:49

room key ingredients that I always try

play26:52

and include in a child's bedroom if

play26:54

there is space is a shelving unit where

play26:57

they can store their books and toys a

play27:00

desk area where they can do their

play27:02

studies and then finally a little

play27:05

reading corner with a lovely armchair

play27:07

where they can sit and read and have a

play27:09

little relaxing

play27:10

moment that's all we've got time for for

play27:13

part one of this incredible project T we

play27:15

do have part two coming but before I go

play27:18

play27:19
