different category and most importantly

board it'll also come with 16 GB of RAM

most memory ever used on a pixel to date

that could be paired with 256 GB of

storage as standard or as the base model

significantly increasing over that 128

gigabyte base storage found on Pixel

phones today but it is worth noting we

don't know yet what the Bas or the baby

pixel 9 and the the baby pixel 9 Pro

maybe not a baby but a slightly smaller

version will come with in terms of

storage battery and charging Tech is

also where we could finally see some

improvements this year they've been

lagging behind the competition but we've

been waiting for fasted wide charging

and while it's not confirmed that the

pixel 9 is going to support 45 wats

across the board regulatory leaks of a

power brick touting that 45 wat speed

and the device in question do hint that

it will be available for the first time

another regulatory leak though has all

but confirmed the battery sizes and the

real world charging speeds notably the

pixel 9 Pro features a

version though is going to come to the

pixel 6 series and newer devices so the

things like private space adaptive

vibration and way more that we've got

beta coverage all ready to roll and

ready to roll out where the pixel 9

might offer some differences in software

though is with regard to the suite of AI

functions rumors suggest that Google AI

as it's been called now will provide

some new features and functions like

pixel screenshots which will be able to

utilize AI search on your device and

search those screenshots and pull data

and contextual information if you happen

to search for it and need it another

touted feature of Google AI is the add

me option and this camera capability is

described as being able to make sure

everyone's included in a group photo

or expansion of that which allows you to

adjust subject facial reactions in group

in a variety of scenarios even if your f

is wet or you have dirt or whatever it

is on your screen so that's the pixel 9

that we know so far at least all of the

looking for phone right now the current

market offers solid options if you need

a phone immediately and one of those is

the pixel 8A I will say it lacks a bit

of the charm you might associate with

the a series and while I would advise

most people out there to pick up the

regular pixel 8 I think this device is

an excellent choice for those seeking

reliability and high performance at an

affordable price point it is priced at

$499 it features that third generation

tensor chip so smooth performance and

efficient multitasking but super easy on

a mid-ranger like this it has an

especially high quality display as well

and its price point and excellent camera

software make it a strong competitor in

that sub $500 segment throwing in the

excellent 7-year update promise instant

access to all of the Android betas and

all of the Android features you can

shake a stick out and I think it starts

to become a really enticing little

product if you literally need a phone

right now and can't wait for the pixel 9

pixel 8A for any of though interested in

foldable technology probably wondering

about the pixel 9 Pro fold or the pixel

fold 2 could be a particularly enticing

product at least from what we know so

far it should combine more of the

high-end pixel lineup with the dualed

form factor including a larger 6.29 in

front display and an

8.02 in inner screen that was pretty

hard for me to say that Google is

ditching the passport form factor in

favor of something a little bit more

like the OnePlus open in fact I will say

it's eily similar to that device at

least at first glance course

specifications will stack up with the

pixel 9 Pro XL pretty closely including

the T G4 processor 16 GB of RAM 256 GB

base storage but it's the camera where

things get slightly down graded although

we're waiting on information on what

main sensor the pixel 9 Pro fold is

utilizing it's reportedly using a 64

megapix rated Samsung 3lu Ultra wide

camera instead of the old Sony IMX 386

the telephoto is going to be using the

10.5 megapixel Samsung 3

J12 the Sony I X 355 selfie camera is

also getting ditched in favor of the 10

megap rated Samsung 3K 1 so these

downgrades over the pixel9 series could

be due to the limited space on offer

with this form factor but we're sure it

will offer exceptional Stills and

hopefully solid video recording when it

officially does become available we

don't know if it's going to support 8K

recording but it again that would be

another nice addition I think for most

people the cost alone is a reason they

won't look at the pixel 9 Pro fold

foldables may be growing in popular ity

but they still don't have a huge market

share and the price really does make it

a little bit ey watering especially as

you can potentially pick up two of the

smaller version of the pixel 9 for the

price that this is touted at so why have

we made this video and why do we think

we should wait I think the decision is

ultimately up to you especially as a

pixel 9 series now largely depends on

your individual circumstances and needs

if you do want to purch it especially if

you want a Google phone if your current

phone is outdated on malfunctioning I

think the pixel 8A as I noted offers a

robust and affordable solution that

won't disappoint if you need a phone

right now however if you can wait for up

to a month or so the pixel 9 series

promises some notable not massive

enhancements that could justify the

delay in waiting to purchase

what your budget is here as well you'll

obviously get carrier deals and whatnot

when these devices are available but I

think even if you have a little to no

interest in the pixel 9 it is definitely

worth waiting until after made by Google

before you pull the trigger on any

device or any other device we'll learn

about these upgrades or what these

upgrades are due plus it has the added

benefit will know about pre-order

bonuses they'll be confirmed and any

existing models from other brands

including Samsung xiaomi and others out

there will come down even further in

price especially as fire sales start to

take place before that end of year

period of course these other brands will

also try and combat what Google is

offering with their devices so I think

in terms of discounts it's probably a

win-win and it's something we highly

recommend each and every year especially

if you can hold on wait until later on

in the year release cycle you know

exactly what's offered from every device

and you can get your better prices

obviously you can just ignore this

advice if you want you're free to do

whatever you want after all but I do
