के अंदर बैठा तपस्या कर रहा है उसके शरीर
पर बहुत सारे घाव थे जिस पर कीड़े मकोड़े
चल रहे थे तब भी भक्त भक्ति में लीन था यह
देखकर इंद्रदेव प्रसन्न हो जाते हैं और
भक्त शलादर देते हैं भक्त
शिलादेश जी आपने मुझे दर्शन देकर कृतज्ञ
कर दिया मुझे एक पुत्र की प्राप्ति का
वरदान चाहिए यह सुनकर इंद्रदेव सोच में
पड़ जाते हैं यह भक्त शलादर तप करके क्या
वरदान मांग लिया इसने इतनी घोर तप की है
कि मेरा सिंहासन तक हिल गया पर पुत्र
प्राप्ति का वर तो मैं इसे नहीं दे सकता
और मना भी नहीं कर सकता
मुझे कुछ ऐसा करना होगा जिससे मेरे भक्त
की इच्छा भी पूरी हो जाए और मेरा सिंहासन
भी बच जाए तब इंद्रदेव शीला जी को बोलते
हैं पुत्र शलादर इच्छा पूरी सिर्फ देवों
के देव महादेव ही कर सकते हैं तुम्हें
उनकी तपस्या करके उन्हें प्रसन्न करना
होगा तब तुम्हें तुम्हारा मन चाहा वर

है तो मुझे तो दर्शन देने आना ही था मांगो
अपना वर मांगो प्रभु मुझे बस एक ऐसा पुत्र
चाहिए जिसे मृत्यु ना छू सके और उस पर
आपकी कृपा बनी रहे भगवान शिव ने उसे

सुनकर ऋषि शीला बेहद प्रसन्न हुए प्रभु आज

आज पूरे संसार की दौलत मिल गई हो यह कहकर
शलादर ले गया उस बच्चे का नाम नंदी रखा
गया एक बार ऋषि शलादर पर दो सन्यासी
पहुंचे उनका खूब आदर सत्कार हुआ इससे
प्रसन्न होकर सन्यासियों ने ऋषि शलादर आयु
का आशीर्वाद दे दिया सदा सुखी रहो
तुम्हारी आयु लंबी हो सन्यासी ने सिर्फ
शलादर दिया उनके बराबर में खड़े नंदी को
कोई आशीर्वाद नहीं दिया तब ऋषि

नंदी भगवान अपने पिता से आज्ञा लेकर भुवन
नदी के पास जाकर शिव जी की स्तुति करने

भगवान शिव प्रकट हुए पुत्र नंदी मांगो
