that the same person but actually the

two stories in the two different Gospels

there's a slight difference in the story

slight difference in the two stories and

incredible guy who it highly intelligent

defensive sort of way we're going to hit

the gates brick walls but if we go into

that caring about chance more than we

care about truth truth we'll find your

way in through her and I think you know

Pau is a really good example of somebody

who transition from caring about truth

to caring about heart and we see that in

the book of Galatians in doation chapter

two you know the the the disciple the

apostles like Peter are behaving like

Pharisees and not when to associated sit

with the Gentiles I've just come to

church and Paul gets in his face and he

disagrees with him and he and he and

hasn't really going in why because Paul

understood the danger of religion why

because he was a great religious up

until he became you know he gave his

life to Jesus and and so and he'd been

on this journey and maybe he had been

stumbled from fully receiving the gospel

and his heart wasn't ready so maybe then

when he sees Peter possibly stumble in

another's faith like in Romans 14 don't

stumble somebody's at faith by what you

do maybe Paul's journey was he can't

more about truth than people but at the

end of his life he cared more that

people the truth that he was still

strong and he was still passionate and

it was still he knew what he believed

but maybe that was tempted by caring

about people's hearts you know because

people you know in other parts of

scripture and in another part of

Scripture and people complained that his

words his letters are really strong and

very dark Mets but when he comes to see

as he's really

so he's really you know it's really

mealiness like well I can come to you as

I promised and come to you as a father

up to you you know and I love that that

that even though in his communication

horizon he was very direct when he was

with people his his passion was it was

not in that moment and relating them not

as an apostle but really as a father but

as far as our mother's care about plants

you know sometimes brothers and sisters

care of all that truth you know in my

relationship my brother sometimes you

know I would I would I would see him not

behaving correctly and I would try to

bring some truth in you know where my

mom was being more concerned about his

heart and so we dad so I think you know

we can be brothers and sisters and

that's great but I think you know some

of us are called when as we mature we're

going to become fathers and mothers and

actually that means caring more about

people's hearts and truth because I

think that's part of Paul's journey that

he was a man who ultimately cared so

much for truth he was willing to kill

people but in the end he learned to

temper his communication when he was

with people physically because he really

didn't care about people ultimately so

yeah that's my course to thoughts first

one of my favorite quotes is honesty

without compassion is cruelty and I

think that's what that's what Paul

learned there and then second and I went

to flip over I thought I heard you say

first Corinthians 5:18

know so it wasn't a premature birth or a

late birth it was it was a birth back at

some point being thwarted because of his

own issues in his own house however

powerful does God speak to us and our

own issues stopped us from really

engaging what God was saying because

it's too hard the Apostle Paul was no

different

you know we tend to put these people in

the Bible of a pedestal like they were

perfect no there is a bigger jerk you

and I and they guru in their

relationship with God you know Peter was

a racist Noah was a drunk you know

ding dong yeah you know Jacob was a

cheetah

you know the David a man after God's own

heart was a murderer and an adulterer

why why I just gotta pick these people

they're jerks why doesn't God be the

good people because sometimes the people

who who live from the heart make

mistakes but at least they're living

from the heart and God consult more

easily and it read somebody who's living

from the heart in a bad way and redirect

it in a good way that tried to get

somebody who's living from their head to

the heart and I think sometimes it's

easier to to direct I can move inside it

if something's moving it's easier to

directives but to get something moving

sometimes a lot harder and I think you

know Paul was was a moving target he was

doing really bad things but at least it

was moving and in that movement God was

able to encounter him you know so God is

attracted to movement and if you're

moving in a wrong way

God's able to redirect you why because

you're already in that place

anything else yep one of the things that

really kind of encouraged me about how

you shared about Paul calling Peter

you're out from like you know his

stepping away from grace it's just so

cool like Peter was an apostle so

somebody who had authority in the church

you like you know if he if he spoke like

you know people would take it like as

the word of God like and even the

Apostles said things like they even like

made mistakes themselves so it's just it

kind of like shows shows me like you

know that like like like what you just

said it's not about being right like

like I think that you know God cares

about us being right and what we teach

and all that stuff is good but like

there's something deeper which is like

you know the the fact of I don't know

just I guess love after all like that's

what it has to be is is like that's

pretty much the thing and the constant

theme like love is even more important

than being right and doing something

sentronics a thousand percent like well

unfortunately the church has not had

that mentality we have we are valued

doctrinal truth over people you know

that's why I happened I stopped getting

into arguments about theology I won't do

it anymore if you don't believe what I

believe I don't care I love you and I'll

take my revelation where people will

receive it but I'm not going to hate me

and I'm tired of that wave you know that

small way of thinking this is if you

don't believe 100% what I believe then

you're not family-owned we can't walk

together I think I'll be honest you know

I think it's nonsense I think it divides

the church I think that's the reason we

have 38,000 denominations worldwide

because we value truth instead of

valuing people 38,000 denominations

that's mental why

because one denomination and people

within that denomination we got a

revelation and the people is the

leadership of that denomination would

reject the new revelation would see it

as challenging who they were and so they

would have to separate out and we just

keep being divided over new revelation

you know but you know as you said about

Alex not Peter he wasn't just a disciple

he was the disciple he was the guy that

Jesus says I give you the keys of the

kingdom disciples books specifically

it's obvious bingo this is where the

idea of apostolic succession comes from

in the Catholic Church it's not

completely a made of doctrine the risk

there is another of truth in there that

Pete's the dude when Peter speaks people

listen the only other person who had

that same level of authority was James

the brother of Jesus they were known in

the New Testament as the pillars of the

church and they carried that Saudi

authorities because they ministered in

very different areas you know but yeah

he was so when people that he spoke I

think at that point when Peter and

Paul's telling the story he's looking

back so he's not Apostle Paul when he's

telling story he's Paul and he's

happened to call Peter on his BS like I

know because I saw the law said and

you'll be a hypocrite right now you know

you tread you live like a Gentile all

your life and now you're trying to make

the Gentiles live like Jews your mentor

Wow

he has no position he has no authority

people are scared of Paul at this point

in his life because he's the murderer

coming to church and thinking this is a

trap oh he's only pretending to be a

Christian so he can kill us all you know

this is my people Paul wasn't received

initially because people really suspect

about him but he didn't care he cared

about the hearts of the people who were

being rejected at the dinner table that

Peter was choosing to reject he cared

about their hearts of people gonna care

about people

you know and that's that's who thought

was you know sometimes we think of Paul

as a theologian but we think he was an

apostle we think it was all these

different things we're really at his

heart he was a father who cared deeply

about people was he perfect no was he a

jerk sometimes

but he was a father you know and that's

what we're called to be ultimately we're

all called to grow so we could be mother

come become mothers and fathers

ourselves okay 40 minutes I love you
