bit about what you do for the junior
cougars sure so uh I'm an assistant
coach with the uh the junior cougars eye
team uh this is my second year with the
organization as a volunteer coach
awesome um awesome man hey what is some
of the rewarding things you get out of
being an assistant coach here with the
junior Kruegers so uh one of the thing I
I like teaching the younger kids uh the
importance of sportsmanship especially
the fundamentals of safety um trying to
keep them show them the basics so that
you know they kind of grow into that
keep them safe keep other players safe
it's very important awesome man hey the
junior cougs obviously a really big with
with uh safety right you see uh I see
looking around at all these practices
they're wearing the Guardians yep um
tell us a little bit about the Guardians
and what you feel that impact is on the
league uh the the Guardians are huge I
mean uh the the protection of the head
is one of the most important things with
football uh concussion protocols uh it's
gotten very big there's a lot of
attention on that uh from from the
highest level to the lowest level now so
uh it's it's just as important for these
kids teaching them the fundamentals of
that protection uh at this age to help
them as they progress yeah without a
doubt I know that Junior cougars have
been probably the first organization to
probably implement the Guardians in the
entire ACC so uh hats off to this
organization for uh you know kind of
leading the way there yeah um you also
do a lot in the community uh I know
you're really big in the cornhole uh
space uh tell us a little bit about some
of the upcoming events for the junior
cougars so we actually uh my my
organization valala cornhole uh
volunteered our time to the junior
cougars organization we're running a um
we're running a cornhole tournament on
uh August 3rd it's going to be at the
holiday in scant East over in Dunmore um
it's going to be from about noon until
whenever we're done uh hoping we get a
lot of uh a lot of impact we're going to
have 50-50 basket Raffles uh vajala and
the holiday and have both donated the
time and the ballroom for that event to
the junior cougars organization so we're
lucky to have that relationship with the
holiday in that's awesome do you feel
that could be something that could be
open to other organizations within the
ACC oh absolutely yeah without a doubt
we've done uh we've done fundraisers in
the past uh we did one for uh The
Stingers up in homesdale excellent um so
we I mean we're we're very open to doing
uh fundraisers for any organization
