Q & A
What is the main focus of this video?
-The main focus of this video is reviewing the best and worst organic matcha powders available on Amazon.
What is the difference between organic and non-organic matcha according to the presenter?
-According to the presenter, the difference lies in the certification process. Organic matcha involves a lengthy certification process that ensures no pesticides are used, but the presenter feels it's more of a marketing tactic. They believe non-organic matcha can have better flavor due to richer fertilization.
Why do some matcha farmers in Japan choose not to get organic certification?
-Farmers in Japan often avoid organic certification because the process is lengthy and complex. Their surrounding farms also need to be organic, and they have to meet strict soil and pesticide-free requirements.
What does the presenter say about the taste of organic matcha?
-The presenter mentions that organic matcha often lacks the strong umami flavor found in non-organic matcha, which they attribute to heavier fertilization in non-organic farming methods.
Why does the presenter rank Rishi Everyday Matcha in last place?
-Rishi Everyday Matcha ranks last because it had a mildly fragrant, mellow profile, skewed yellow in color, and had a watery taste with astringent aftertaste, which the presenter did not find enjoyable.
What does the presenter say about the label 'ceremonial grade' in relation to Mari's Matcha?
-The presenter believes the label 'ceremonial grade' is inaccurate for Mari's Matcha because the color is skewed more towards yellow, which doesn't meet their expectations for ceremonial grade matcha.
How does the presenter evaluate the Mia Organic Matcha from Matcha Konomi?
-The presenter rates Mia Organic Matcha as decent, giving it a score of 7.2 out of 10. While it had a vibrant green color and decent taste, there was a slight astringent aftertaste.
What two matcha powders tie for second place, and how do they compare?
-Midori Spring Organic Ceremonial Super Premium Matcha Tea and Matcha Ki Organic Barista Ceremonial tie for second place. The Midori Spring had a stronger taste, while the Matcha Ki was more fragrant and sweet with lower astringency.
What features of Kagoshima Matcha made it the presenter's top choice?
-Kagoshima Matcha was the presenter's top choice due to its sweet, nutty fragrance, rich creamy smell, vibrant green color, great froth, and lack of astringency. It scored a 9.6 out of 10.
What advice does the presenter give for choosing a good matcha powder?
-The presenter suggests looking for a vibrant green color, pleasant fragrance, and good taste when choosing a matcha powder. They emphasize that taste is subjective, so individual preferences for strong, sweet, or vegetal flavors should guide the decision.

🎥 Introduction to Organic Matcha Review
In this opening, the host introduces the video, which focuses on reviewing organic matcha products on Amazon. The host explains the difference between organic and non-organic matcha, pointing out that getting a 'J-certified' organic label is a lengthy process that many matcha farms avoid. The speaker expresses a personal view that organic matcha may not necessarily be better in taste or quality compared to non-organic options. The video will feature reviews of matcha powders, ranked from worst to best, starting with the least impressive option.
🍵 Sixth Place: Rishi Everyday Matcha Review
The Rishi Everyday Matcha, labeled as 'organic and single origin,' is reviewed in sixth place. The host critiques the misleading label, explaining the difference between 'single origin' and 'single cultivar.' They describe the matcha as having a yellowish hue, a mild fragrance, and a watery taste when made into a latte. The texture is lacking, and the aftertaste is bitter and astringent, which leads to the Rishi matcha being rated the lowest on the list.
🥈 Fifth Place: Mari's Matcha by Bloom Nutrition
In fifth place is Mari's Matcha by Bloom Nutrition. The host shares skepticism about the brand's health claims and finds the matcha mislabeled as 'ceremonial grade' due to its yellowish color. The taste is watery and light-bodied, with a slight astringent aftertaste. The host gives it a moderate rating, noting that it's slightly better than Rishi's but still not a top-tier product, scoring around 6.5/10.
🌿 Fourth Place: Mia Organic Matcha by Matcha Konomi
Mia Organic Matcha by Matcha Konomi comes in fourth place. The matcha has a decent fragrance, color, and froth quality, and the host mentions that sifting is essential for a smooth texture. The flavor is decent, with a slight astringent aftertaste, but the matcha doesn't stand out as exceptional. Overall, it is rated at 7.2/10.
🔗 Tied for Third Place: Midori Spring Organic Matcha and Matcha Ki Organic Barista
Two matcha powders are tied for third place: Midori Spring Organic Matcha and Matcha Ki Organic Barista. The Midori Spring matcha has a vegetal smell and strong flavor, with some astringency at the end. Despite being labeled as 'super premium,' the host points out that these labels are often marketing tactics. Matcha Ki, on the other hand, is sweeter, with vanilla notes and a more fragrant aroma. Both matchas perform well in terms of froth and color, and the host appreciates their low astringency and balanced flavors.
🥇 First Place: Kagoshima Matcha
The Kagoshima Matcha takes first place for its vibrant green color, sweet fragrance, and creamy, nutty aroma. The packaging is highly praised for its airtight seal, preserving freshness. The flavor is described as rich and similar to non-organic matcha, with minimal astringency. This matcha is rated as the best, earning a solid 9.6/10.
📲 Conclusion and Social Media Promotion
In the closing remarks, the host summarizes the key factors to consider when choosing matcha: color, taste, and fragrance, emphasizing that taste is subjective. They invite viewers to leave comments suggesting new matcha brands to review. The host also promotes their YouTube shorts, TikTok, and Instagram accounts for more matcha content, and mentions an Amazon storefront with matcha essentials linked in the video description.

hey everyone welcome back to my channel
I am so excited to bring you guys
another really requested video which is
to review more matcha products on Amazon
and as another big amazon consumer
myself I thought I would bring you guys
another video of best and worst matcha
powders on Amazon but this time organic
matcha Edition so the first thing I want
to talk about is actually What organic
matcha even is and whether organic
matcha is actually better for you than
non-organic so you might wonder why a
lot of places don't do organic Matas and
that's because to get J certified it's
actually a very lengthy process and if
you want to get J certified in Japan um
it's actually quite complicated because
your neighboring surrounding Farms tea
Farms also have to be organic certified
they check for like the soil and a whole
plethora of things and because it's
quite complicated a lot of farmers
choose not to get their matcha J
certified so most of the matcha that is
in Japan technically fall into this
category where they are little to no
pesticides when they grow the tea but
because as I mentioned it's a very long
and lengthy process to actually get J
certified they choose not to do so so
that's why in my personal opinion going
non-organic versus organic it's a little
bit of a marketing thing I do not
personally believe that organic is
better than non-organic and generally
from my personal experience I have also
found in terms of taste that organic
machas don't have have that same Umami
flavor that nonorganic machas get
because a lot of the times you actually
get that rich Umami and sweetness from
heavy fertilization and that is
typically translated into the matcha
flavor itself but I do understand that
everyone has different personal
preferences that is why today I am
bringing you the best and the worst
organic machas here on Amazon so I'm
going to be going in order of worst
matcha to best matcha starting off in
sixth place is going to be this Rishi
everyday matcha this is organic and
single origin so it's interesting that
this product actually says that it's
single origin so single origin is
actually different from single cultivar
I think that the way that they label
this is quite misleading because matcha
should all originate from one area like
one country like it would be weird to
mix matcha from Japan and China for
example typically really high-end machas
are single cultivar which means it's
from one particular cultivar and not
multiple combined into one so it
actually says for cultivar there are
four different cultivars so the more
cultivars the cheaper it's going to be
this matcha itself had really weird
smell very mildly fragrant and it had a
very mellow profile as well I also found
that in terms of color it is skewing on
the yellower side so it's definitely not
as vibrant green and also in terms of
taste I found that it had a slightly
watery taste when I made the Macha latte
using this particular powder I saw that
the texture of um the drink was
definitely skewing on the watery side
wasn't as full bodied or Umami at all
and it also had a very astringent
aftertaste I found that right after I
finished drinking this matcha my tongue
tasted kind of bitter and dry and that's
definitely not a pleasant feeling and
not something that I associate with high
quality matcha so for that reason this
Rishi everyday matcha for me comes in
the last place and number six and I
would not recommend this product coming
in in fifth place here we have mari's
matcha so this is a matcha powder
actually by the brand Bloom and Bloom is
really popular I see that they are um on
Tik Tok everywhere Bloom nutrition
everyone's getting in their green juice
personally I have never bought to those
I think that taking green juice to De
bloat is kind of like a myth like just
eat your vegetables you know like I
personally did not find this to be
ceremonial grade at
all it's decently fragrant I would say
it smells pretty good it's pretty fruity
in terms of color it skews a little bit
more on the yellow side which is why I
say that the label of ceremonial grade
is a little bit inaccurate because it's
not as vibrant green as I would expect a
ceremonial grade to be in terms of taste
it is slightly watery um very light
bodied um it's a little bit better than
rishi's matcha in terms of flavor and
taste but it's still pretty light in
flavor and I wasn't able to get a strong
punch of umami and there was a slight
astringent aftertaste as well which is
why this falls into fifth place for me
so overall it's okay I would give this
maybe like a 6 and 1/2 out of 10 nothing
to claw your money over it's all right
the next mattra I'm going to talk about
is going to be this Mia organic mattra
ceremonial grape by matcha Konomi this
packaging very standard ooh this one's
pretty fragrant I would say this one
does not have as much of a fruity scent
say it smells a little bit more um on
The Buttery side froth level it also
froths very well um as with all of these
matches I do sift them just so that I
can produce the most accurate result and
the best froth so I would recommend
sifting just to avoid clumps in terms of
taste there is a slight astringent
aftertaste nothing crazy overall not bad
in terms of color it's also a nice
vibrant green um there were no really
drawbacks to this besides the fragrance
was decent um The Taste was also decent
I would probably give this around like a
7.2 out of 10 all right so coming in
third place there were two different
matcha powders that I really couldn't
decide between they were pretty neck- on
neck so I have them tied as both second
place or both third place however you
want to put it we'll say both second
place um the first one is going to be
Midori spring organic ceremonial super
premium Macha tea first of all guys like
please do not fall for this warning when
it says super premium or like organic C
like these are all really marketing
buzzwords just to get at you super
premium is just an indication for them
to show that it's like higher and on
their line but it doesn't necessarily
mean that the matcha is like the most
amazing or anything in terms of smell I
would say that this has a slightly weird
fragrance I can't quite describe what it
is but it
definitely it's not super fragrant of
all of the top matches that I have even
though in terms of flavor profile it's
very good but in terms of fragrance it's
not very strong actually interestingly
enough the color is pretty good it's
pretty decently green it smells kind of
vegetal actually I think the smell is
okay it's it's not the most fragrant it
doesn't smell very sweet it just smells
very vegetal it froed very well and in
terms of taste I felt like this one was
actually very strong between this one
and the next one I'm going to mention
this one had a stronger taste there was
some slight astringency at the end when
I was tasting the matcha but overall
this is pretty good and I would
recommend this so as I mentioned Midori
spring is tied with one other matcha for
me and that would be the matcha Ki
organic Barista ceremonial so this
matcha is actually pretty good I was
really pleasantly surprised with this
the
smell oh this one's much more fragrant
than the madori spring one and in terms
of color it's also a very bright and
vibrant green I would say this scent of
machari compared to madori Spring the
machari has much more vanilla notes
definitely sweeter one interesting note
about this container is that it was
actually double sealed it had an
aluminum bag on the inside and it also
had a pull tab on the top I mean I think
that's a bit unnecessary to have both
but I guess more protection could never
hurt one interesting note about this
container is that it was actually double
sealed it had an aluminum bag on the
inside and it also had a pull tab on the
top I mean I think that's a bit
unnecessary to have both but I guess
more protection could never hurt in
terms of taste it had a very sweet and
mellow taste and it had really low
astringency after I drank this matcha I
couldn't really taste much bitterness at
the end and there was not that same dry
feeling of areny so this matcha was also
pretty good I would say in terms of
taste the machakari is pretty comparable
to the madori spring madori spring is a
little bit stronger in taste but the
machakari does smell a bit more fragrant
coming in at number one is going to be
the kagoshima matcha this matcha I loved
the packaging I thought it was really
beautiful had a pretty unique top you
can see the top here it's like a pull
tap so you have this lid on top and then
on top of that you have what keeps it
airtight here so in comparison we have
the Rishi matcha this one is just a pull
on the top and then you can see the
powder underneath it so it's not as
airtight the kagoshima has the lid on
top and then on top of that has one more
um protective sealant here which once
you lift this up that's where the matcha
comes like
that it smells amazing so out of all of
them this one definitely has the
sweetest fragrance it's sweet vanilla
it's actually like a little bit nutty
almost like kind of like walnu is it
just smells creamy I know that's like a
really weird description but it smells
very rich and creamy I was actually very
surprised by this kagoshima matcha
because I felt in terms of flavor
profile it was very similar to the
non-organic matches that I love in terms
of color it's a very nice bright green
it also froed very beautifully and there
was little to no astringency this one
definitely comes in in first place and I
would give this like a solid 9.6 out of
10 this one was very good I really like
this one and that is all that I have for
you guys today I hope that you guys
enjoyed this video review breakdown and
also seeing the prices of what all these
machas cost per gram I just want to make
it clear that when you are looking for
matcha you want to look for a couple
things you want to look for color you
want to look for taste you want to look
for fragrance and at the end of the day
taste is the one that is going to be the
most subjective to you Everyone likes
different preferences when it comes to
flavor profile some people like their
matcha more strong some people like it
more vegetal some people like theirs on
