What are the three main categories of accessories mentioned in the video?
-The three main categories of accessories are jewelry (earrings, chains, rings), headwear (hats, sunglasses, headphones), and bags.
How can jewelry be used effectively without overpowering an outfit?
-To use jewelry as a supporting element, it’s recommended to wear around three to four pieces. This keeps the jewelry from becoming the centerpiece and ensures it enhances rather than dominates the outfit.
What are some general tips for wearing earrings?
-Earrings can elevate both your outfit and your facial appearance by adding depth and accentuating facial features. For example, longer earrings can make round faces appear more elongated, while round earrings can balance out longer faces.
How can you decide between gold and silver jewelry based on your skin undertone?
-You can check the color of the veins on your wrist: green veins indicate a warm undertone (gold looks better), blue veins indicate a cool undertone (silver looks better), and a mix of blue and green suggests a neutral undertone (both gold and silver work well).

👗 Elevating Your Outfits with Accessories
This paragraph introduces the idea of using accessories to enhance outfits. The speaker explains how accessories can elevate a basic outfit, making it look more stylish and intentional. By adding items like sunglasses, hats, rings, and other accessories, even a simple ensemble, such as a hoodie and jeans, can appear fashionable. The paragraph emphasizes the power of accessories to transform an ordinary look into something more polished and cool.
💍 Types of Accessories: Jewelry, Headwear, and Bags
This paragraph categorizes accessories into three main types: jewelry, headwear, and bags. Jewelry includes items like earrings, necklaces, and rings, with the amount and type varying based on the wearer’s style and the formality of the occasion. Streetwear allows for more elaborate jewelry, while simpler outfits might require more minimal pieces. The speaker shares personal experience, advising that three to four pieces of jewelry are enough to elevate an outfit without overwhelming it. The goal is for jewelry to complement the outfit, not dominate it.
✨ Earrings: The King of Jewelry
The focus here is on earrings, which the speaker considers the most essential piece of jewelry. Earrings enhance both an outfit and the wearer’s appearance by adding depth and accentuating facial features. Depending on the style of earrings, they can alter the perceived shape of a person's face. Studs and hoops are highlighted as common options for men, while the paragraph explains how women might consider earrings that balance facial proportions.
👑 Necklaces: The Queen of Jewelry
Necklaces, described as the 'queen of jewelry,' also play a key role in enhancing outfits. They accessorize not only the neck but also affect the overall look by drawing attention to the face. The speaker prefers stacking two to three necklaces for casual streetwear styles, such as pairing a chain with a pendant. The advice emphasizes using necklaces to add detail without overpowering the rest of the outfit.
💍 Rings and Bracelets: Subtle Details for Your Hands and Arms
Rings are described as a way to improve the appearance of hands, and are noted for their appeal, especially to women. There’s a range of ring styles, from simple bands to elaborate stacks, depending on one's aesthetic. Bracelets, on the other hand, are said to be more noticeable in warmer months when short sleeves expose the arms. They are seen as a finishing touch, complementing the overall outfit without standing out too much.
💎 Choosing the Right Jewelry Color: Gold vs. Silver
This section explains how to choose between gold and silver jewelry based on skin undertones. A quick test involves examining the color of veins: greenish veins suggest warmer undertones and a preference for gold, while bluish veins indicate cooler undertones and a preference for silver. For neutral undertones, both gold and silver work well. The speaker, like many East Asians, mentions that neutral undertones allow for more flexibility in jewelry choices.
📦 Where to Buy Jewelry: Affordable and Convenient Options
Amazon is recommended as a great starting point for buying jewelry, especially for beginners. The speaker praises Amazon for its convenience, affordability, and decent quality, offering the option to return items that don’t match one’s style. Other suggestions include Hard Jewelry, which specializes in silver pieces, as well as thrift stores and flea markets where unique and affordable rings can be found. The speaker also suggests looking to TikTok for more inspiration and recommendations.
🧢 Headwear: A Key Accessory for Enhancing Outfits
The focus shifts to headwear, which includes hats, sunglasses, and headphones. These items can significantly improve an outfit by pulling everything together. Baseball caps, especially black ones, are identified as a wardrobe staple, while beanies are recommended for winter outfits. The speaker discusses various styles of hats like bucket hats and trucker caps, noting how each can complement different types of outfits, particularly casual and streetwear styles.
🕶️ Eyewear: Sunglasses and Glasses for Style
This paragraph dives into eyewear, focusing primarily on sunglasses. The speaker recommends starting with Wayfarers, which are said to look good on most people, especially Asians. The speaker also notes that choosing eyewear should take into account the shape of one’s face and personal style. Glasses can also be used as a stylish accessory in certain cases.

today we're going to go over how to
elevate your outfits and make them look
so much better with accessories
specifically we're going to talk about
what accessories to get where and when
to wear them and where to buy these so
to begin with why accessories they'll
make your outfit look better by adding
depth to it and wearing accessories
shows that you know how to dress and
shows that you're kind of putting effort
into yourself and into making yourself
look better and also accessories just
look cool as if you take an
otherwise boring outfit and you add
accessories to it it will just make the
outfit look better for example look at
this outfit on first glance you can tell
that this guy's outfit looks cool and
you can tell he has good style but if
you really just look at his outfit and
break it down a little bit it's just a
zip a PTY an undershirt and some jeans
right it's pretty basic and with just
these pieces alone this is like the
average no drip like college student
outfit but because he has all his
accessories like his sunglasses his hat
his Rings his belt his belt chain and
even his earbuds and also because of the
fit of the hoodie and the pants you can
tell that this guy has good style and
that this fit is like his intentional
style as opposed to just like some
random that he put on and this
example just shows the power of
accessories so how can you elevate your
outfits with accessories too let's dive
right into it there are generally three
categories of accessories that I
commonly see and these are jewelry which
are things like earrings chains
necklaces Etc headwear which are things
like hats sunglasses headphones really
just like whatever other objects you put
on your head and finally bags so let's
cover jewelry first generally the amount
of jewelry you wear and the type of
jewelry you wear Depends on both your
fashion aesthetic as well as like the
formal of your outfit for example if you
like to rock the modern menwar look or
even if you're just dressing up to go to
some event you generally probably don't
want any jewelry except a watch and like
some basic earrings if you have your
ears pierced on the other end of things
if your aesthetic is big on street wear
you can definitely get away with wearing
a lot more jewelry with things like cool
necklace Stacks cool earring Stacks cool
ring Stacks Etc and I've been on both
ends of the spectrum and I've kind of
evened out to wearing just enough
jewelry and essentially just having
basic pieces of jewelry that elevate my
outfit as opposed to having a lot of
jewelry and have jewelry be like the
center piece of my outfit so most
jewelry falls under one of these
categories earrings Rings bracelets and
necklaces in order to wear just the
right amount of Jewelry in order to have
your jewelry be a supporting Act rather
than like a main like focus of your
outfit you generally want to wear around
three to four pieces of Jewelry in total
so for example in my stack I have my
earrings I have this or ring that I
always wear and then I have this
bracelet which like technically isn't
jewelry but like kind of counts as an
accessory and then sometimes I'll throw
on like a chain or a pendant of course
you can go crazy in any of these
categories and have like cool earrings
Stacks cool necklace stacks and these
look pretty cool with some outfits and I
do this sometimes but any more than that
and jewelry kind of becomes like the
centerpiece of your outfit and so I
mainly just stick to the essentials so
first off let's go over earrings
earrings in my opinion are the absolute
king of jewelry because no matter what
occasion or what outfit I'm wearing I
will almost always have earrings in
earrings not only make your outfit look
better but they make your face look
better and therefore you as a person
look better which can't be said for like
literally any other piece of jewelry and
I don't know like the exact
psychological science behind this or
whatever but I think it's because they
add like another focal point or like
another accent and they just add more
depth to your face and depending on like
the type of earring you wear this can
also kind of like help change the shape
of your face so for example people that
have like more like rounder faces if
they wear like longer earrings it kind
of makes their face seem more like long
and kind of evens out the roundness and
like vice versa too if you have like a
very like skinny narrow and like long
face if you wear like more rounder
earrings like that kind of helps even it
out and so this is a pretty big
consideration for like a lot of like
women's earrings and like the earrings
that they choose to wear uh for guys
it's mostly just like studs or Hoops
which honestly for the most part is good
enough and again they're just a subtle
detail that just adds so much to your
outfit and just to like how you look as
a person next we have necklaces if
earrings are the king of jewelry the
necklaces are probably the queen of
jewelry they add to your outfit but also
accessorize your neck which kind of to
an extent also somewhat accessor es your
face as well because your neck and your
face are like somewhat connected and so
obviously if you look at someone's face
you'll see their neck and therefore
their like chin will kind of be in like
your peripheral vision as well but for
necklaces you can go from simple chains
to like whole necklace stacks and
because my aesthetic is more streetwear
and just more casual outfits in general
I'm a big fan of just two to three
necklaces stacked together usually like
a chain and a pendant next up we have
rings they're also obviously accessories
to an outfit but they also make your
hands look better and girls like hands
so why not just wear like a ring or two
and just make them look better so again
for Rings there's a spectrum you can go
from just wearing a simple band like me
to wearing like multiple stacks of rings
and you can go anywhere between the
Spectrum depending on what your
aesthetic is finally we have bracelets
these accessorize your arm but they
really only stand out more when you're
wearing like a short sleeve shirt and so
I think they're definitely more
important in like the warmer spring and
summer months as opposed to like the
colder winter months once again with
this there's another Spectrum you can go
from simple chain bracelets or like
simple like little plastic bracelets
like me to Crazy stacks of bracelets and
there's also like watches too so with
that being said let's talk about the
actual color of the jewelry so for most
people they'll go for either gold or
silver some people do like black but I'm
personally not a big fan of it and the
best way to determine if you look better
in gold or silver jewelry is by your
skin undertone and so the quickest test
that you can do is to look at the veins
on your wrist if they look more green
that means you have a warmer undertone
and that means gold jewelry will
probably look better on you if they look
more blue on the other hand that means
you probably have cooler undertones and
silver will probably look better on you
if the veins look both like blueish
green and you can't really tell if it's
like blue or green then that means you
probably have a neutral undertone and
both silver and gold will look pretty
good on you and for me personally and
most other East Asian dudes we generally
have pretty neutral skin undertones so
both gold and silver will look good on
you and so essentially just generally
wear what you like if you're just
getting into jewelry I think my absolute
favorite place to start out with is just
Amazon Amazon is especially good for
beginners just getting into jewelry
because it's really easy and convenient
to just like buy a piece of jewelry and
test and see if like it fits your style
and if you like it and if not you can
just like return it and it's also
usually the cheapest option too the
quality is also usually very solid it's
not going to be like top tier but still
like pretty good like these earrings
that I've worn for like the past 2 years
are literally like 15 bucks from Amazon
another store that I really like is hard
jewelry they have really cool designs
and the quality is pretty good and
they're also pretty cheap but they only
have silver jewelry thrift stores and
flea markets are also really good places
to find jewry especially for rings too
because a lot of vendors will have like
huge boxes of rings that they probably
like haul in from like China or whatever
but generally there'll be a bunch of
different kinds and a bunch of different
styles and sizes as well and you can
also try them on your fingers to see
like what fits and what doesn't and also
just like see what styles of jewelry and
rings that you like other places that
I've heard good things about include
Vitali majeri um honestly just go on Tik
Tok and look up like men's jewelry and
just like look for like real fashion
looking like this guy
right here he is a Real Fashion looking
and he probably has like
pretty good Jew recommendations if this
video has been helpful to you so far
please hit that like And subscribe
button thanks for your time next up we
have headwear this includes hats
sunglasses glasses just eyear in general
um headphones and really just whatever
other things you'd put on your head
headwear can make your outfit look a lot
better and really help pull like an
outfit together and what I mean by this
is sometimes I'll have an outfit that
looks just like kind of okay but then
once you add like a hat or a beanie and
some like headphones to it then it just
like looks a lot cooler and the outfit
just like looks better in general so for
hats there are baseball caps beanies
trucker hats fitted caps bucket hats Etc
but if there's only one hat to have in
your wardrobe it should be a black
baseball cap this goes with almost all
casual outfits and you can almost never
go wrong with a baseball cap it's also
pretty useful if you're having a bad
hair day because you can just cover it
up with a baseball cap and it'll
probably go with whatever outfit you're
wearing baseball caps can be a neutral
color and be a very subtle addition to
your outfit or be like a complimentary
pop of color trucker hats and fitted
caps are essentially just like
variations of baseball caps they look
pretty cool with specific outfits
generally more casual outfits and
they're also generally more colorful
than baseball caps next up we have
beanies these are obviously more of a
winter accessory and it can really like
pull winter outfit together and just
make them look so cool it's like you
have your main pieces of your outfit be
like your pants and then like your like
jacket or hoodie or like or whatever
you're wearing on your torso and then
adding a beanie to your outfit kind of
adds like a third main piece to your
outfit and often I'll have an outfit
that looks only okay but then once I add
a beanie to it it just like for some
reason just looks so much better and for
a wardrobe essential I just recommend
like a regular like black beanie like
the type of like the little mountain on
top and like I don't know from carart or
stucy or like whatever other brand that
you like next up we have bucket hats and
bandanas and like really whatever else
these are more trendy pieces that can
make an outfit look better but they
generally go better with more like
street style casual wear outfits next up
we have eyewear for the most part this
will just be sunglasses and glasses
Sunglasses come in many shapes and forms
there are like more classic Silhouettes
like the aviators the club Masters the
wairs and then there are the more like
trendy shapes like the rectangle ones
sportsware sunglasses various like
tinted sunglasses just whatever like
trendy sunglasses is like popular right
now you can usually Google like a
sunglasses like face shape chart which
is supposed to tell you like what shape
of sunglass will fit your like face
shape best but in general I feel like
these aren't like too accurate
especially for Asian guys and it's
probably because Asian guys probably
have like different features and like
ratios of features and like distances of
our facial features but I think
generally wfirs do look good on most
Asians and you don't really see Asian
dudes wearing like Club Masters or like
aviators unless they're like the
millennial like Miami realtor archetype
of Asian dude if that makes sense so I
would just start with wfirs and then
just try various sunglasses shapes and
just see what fits you best and again
Amazon is a great resource for this you
can just buy like a bunch of different
types of sunglasses and then just like
return all the ones you don't like like
I've done this before I just like walk
into like the Whole Foods like Amazon
return center Hub or whatever with like
a box full of sunglasses and the dude
just like scanning all the QR codes one
after the other and he's just like
smirking as he scans each one and as he
was scanning them he was just like none
of these work for you you don't like any
of them and I was like nah but you know
you do what you got to do right next up
we have glasses and these can really
change the vibe of a person I don't
personally wear like glasses for the
purpose of like eyesight or anything so
I'm not too familiar with like you know
glasses shapes or whatever so the best
advice I can give to you is just like do
some research and also just like try
different shapes and see what looks best
on you I do have this pair of blue light
glasses that I wear sometimes and I
think they're pretty similar in shape to
the ones that like J Jo wears and I
think they look pretty cool um but as
you can see they really do like change
the vibe of a person like when I'm
wearing these I feel like I should be
wearing like a turtleneck or
something anyways finally for headwear
we have headphones the biggest types of
headphones for the purpose of like
fashion are definitely like overe ear
headphones as well as wired earbuds so
these bigger like overear headphones are
like headphones like you know the ones
that Sennheiser Bose whatever have like
the Apple airpod Maxes they're a good
and they work well with most casual
outfits but I will say that they kind of
give your outfit like a more like
college student Vibe and for Wired
earbuds these are kind of like a sleeper
accessory I think but they do go pretty
well with a lot of like more vintage
outfits I've seen those people that like
wear airpods intentionally as part of an
outfit but I think in terms of fashion
they just look kind of dumb um I wear
them just like for the functionality
finally the third largest accessory
group are bags and these are kind of
just like a function first type deal in
that like you'll only really wear a bag
with an outfit if you like you need the
bag to carry something that day right so
like a book bag for like a laptop or
like I don't know like a day bag or like
a cross body bag that can carry some
like books or some I think the
biggest like fashion bag type is
definitely like the cross body bag like
a middle siiz cross body bag because the
strap along the Torso kind of adds like
another element to your outfit so if
you're wearing like a plain crew neck or
hoodie then this like strap kind of like
breaks up like the uniform block of
color that your torso is from like the
hoodie with the crew neck and it just
adds some like asymmetry to the outfit
and just makes the outfit look better
examples of this type of bag are this
like unique little drawstring bag that's
pretty popular as well as this like ca
cross body bag in terms of function
other common bags we see are backpacks
and fenny packs in terms of book bags
black is generally like I think the best
and most versatile color I currently use
this Arc ter backpack as my general like
everyday carry and I generally just like
the kind of more outdoorsy brand
backpacks better because I think they
just look better with most outfits and
they're also like very functional you
can take them on like a hike as well for
fanny packs I usually wear them in like
a cross body of fashion um and the like
primary one that I wear is this L lemon
one that my sister got for me as a gift
it's good for If your shorts don't have
like Pockets or just for carrying like
you know phones and keys and just like
whatever other small things you have and
it's a pretty good accessory to just
like Elevate an outfit if it's looking a
little simple and it needs something to
like spice it up I guess it's worth
mentioning that toe bags are also pretty
popular um but they really only go with
the soft boy aesthetic which I'm not a
big fan of but when people do wear tote
bags they're usually like 10 in color so
that wraps up the basics of wearing
accessories with your outfits I know
they're called accessories but to be
honest like with all these accessories
in mind it's pretty necessary to have at
least like some of them as part of an
outfit to just like make it look better
because it's just always good to have
some accessories with any outfit if this
