मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की सप्तमी तिथि को मनाई
जाती है आमतौर पर यह त्यौहार राधा अष्टमी
से एक दिन पहले किया जाता है अगर आप भी
संतान सुख की कामना करते हैं तो चलिए
सुनते हैं संतान सप्तमी की व्रत कथा
पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार प्राचीन काल में
नहुष अयोध्यापुरी का प्रतापी राजा था उसकी
पत्नी का नाम था चंद्रमुखी उसके राज्य में
विष्णु दत्त नाम का एक ब्राह्मण रहता था
जिसकी पत्नी का नाम रूपवती था रानी
चंद्रमुखी और रूपवती में परस्पर घनिष्ट
प्रेम था एक दिन वह दोनों सरयू नदी में
स्नान करने गई जहां और स्त्रियां भी स्नान
कर रही थी उन स्त्रियों ने वहीं पार्वती
शिव की प्रतिमा बनाकर विधि पूर्वक उनका
पूजन किया तब रानी चंद्रमुखी और रूप पति
उन स्त्रियों से पूजन का नाम और विधि के
बारे में पूछने लगी एक स्त्री ने बताते
हुए कहा कि यह संतान देने वाला व्रत है इस
व्रत के बारे में सुनकर रानी चंद्रमुखी और
रूपवती ने भी इस व्रत को जीवन पर्यंत करने
का संकल्प लिया लेकिन घर पहुंचने पर वे
दोनों दोनों अपने संकल्प को भूल गई जिसके
कारण मृत्यु के पश्चात रानी वानरी और
ब्राह्मणी मुर्गी की योनि में पैदा हुई
कालांतर में दोनों पशु योनि छोड़कर पुनः
मनुष्य योनि में आई चंद्रमुखी मथुरा के
यहां राजा पृथ्वीनाथ की रानी बनी और
रूपवती ने फिर एक ब्राह्मण घर में जन्म
लिया इस जन्म में ईश्वरी नाम से रानी और
भूषण नाम से ब्राह्मणी जानी गई राज
पुरोहित अग्निमुख के साथ भूषण का विवाह
हुआ और इस जन्म में भी उन दोनों की
मित्रता बहुत घनिष्ट हो गई पूर्व जन्म में
व्रत भूलने के कारण इस जन्म में भी रानी
की कोई संतान नहीं हुई जबकि व्रत को भूषण
ने अब याद रखा जिसके कारण उसने सुंदर और
स्वस्थ आठ पुत्रों को जन्म दिया संतान
नहीं होने से दुखी रानी ईश्वरी एक दिन
भूषण से मिलने गई इस पर रानी के मन में
भूषण को लेकर ईर्षा पैदा हो गई और उसने
उसके बालकों को मारने का निश्चय किया रानी
ने भूषण को विदा करके उसके पुत्रों को
भोजन के लिए बुलाया और उनके भोजन में विष
मिला दिया परंतु भूषण के व्रत के प्रभाव
से उनका बाल भी बांका ना हुआ इससे रानी को
बहुत अधिक क्रोध आया उसने अपने नौकरों को
आज्ञा दी कि भूषण के पुत्रों को पूजा के
बहाने यमुना के किनारे ले जाकर गहरे जल
में दखल दिया जाए किंतु भगवान शिव और माता
पार्वती की कृपा से इस बार भी भूषण के
बालक व्रत के प्रभाव से बच गए और इसके बाद
रानी ने जल्लादों को बुलाकर आज्ञा दी कि
ब्राह्मण बालकों को वद स्थल पर ले जाकर
मार डालो लेकिन जल्लादों के बेहद प्रयास
करने पर भी बालक मर ना सके यह समाचार
सुनकर रानी को बहुत आश्चर्य हुआ उसने भूषण
को बुलाकर सारी बताई और क्षमा याचना करके
उससे इसका कारण पूछा कि तुम्हारे बच्चे मर
क्यों नहीं पाए भूषण बोली क्या आपको पूर्व
जन्म की बात याद नहीं है रानी ने आश्चर्य
से कहा नहीं मुझे तो कुछ याद नहीं है तब
उसने कहा सुनो पूर्व जन्म में तुम राजा
नहुष की रानी थी और मैं तुम्हारी सखी थी
हम दोनों ने एक बार भगवान शिव का डोरा
बांधकर संकल्प किया था कि जीवन पर्यंत
संतान सप्तमी का व्रत करेंगी किंतु
दुर्भाग्यवश हम भूल गई और व्रत की अवेल ना
होने के कारण हमने विभिन्न योनियों में
जन्म लिया अब मुझे उस व्रत की याद आ गई थी
इसलिए मैंने व्रत किया उसी के प्रभाव से
मुझे पुत्र प्राप्त हुए यह सब सुनकर रानी
ईश्वरी ने भी विधि पूर्वक संतान सुख देने
वाला यह मुक्ता भरण व्रत किया तब व्रत के
प्रभाव से रानी पुनः गर्भवती हुई और उसने
एक सुंदर बालक को जन्म दिया उसी समय से
पुत्र प्राप्ति और संतान की रक्षा के लिए
यह व्रत प्रचलित है तो यह थी संतान सप्तमी
की कथा भागपत मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की सप्तमी
तिथि को संतान सप्तमी का यह व्रत किया
जाता है भविष्य पुराण में बताया गया है कि
संतान सप्तमी भगवान सूर्य को भी समर्पित
है सप्तमी तिथि के दिन भगवान सूर्य की भी
पूजा अर्चना की जाती है संत न की कामना से
जो लोग इस व्रत को करते हैं उनके लिए नियम
है कि इस व्रत को दोपहर तक कर ले भगवान
शिव पार्वती की प्रतिमा के सामने चौकी पर
रखकर उनकी पूजा करें पूजा में नारियल
सुपारी और धूप दीप अर्पित करें माताएं
