with my family's history and how I
started studying at ISU my family
immigrated to America from Thailand in
2001 and in 2005 I was born in Portland
Oregon by 2008 I moved to
Idaho unfortunately the majority of my
family has passed in recent years
and I'm not close with my mother and
sister due to language barriers studying
has aided my grieving process and I
consider Academia to be a part of my
family my grandmother she always praised
my academic achievements and studying
has made me feel closer to her since her
passing now I'd like to share my studies
at ISU and isu's College of Health I am
a seconde Premed student and Junior at
ISU with the intentions to work in
either Obstetrics and Gynecology or
emergency medicine women's health
research is extremely important to me
and I advocate for more female
representation in
medicine studying medicine has always
been a dream of mine and I consider
Health Academia to be my safe
space however when I'm not studying
medicine my cat and dog are my safe
spaces my cat otter she is a
four-year-old M that I rescued
during the covid-19 pandemic my dog
Grizzly is a six-year-old golden
retriever whom I rescued in 2018 due to
language barriers in my family I
