talk about accessories the apple pencil

is a must hair for artists who want to

make the full use of the iPad family

screens but I have a few thoughts about

the newest additions to the apple pencil

series the apple pencil Pro we have here

is a lookalike of the previous Gen 2

apple pencil however the apple pencil

Pro is now built to react to various

stimulus such as squeezing barel rolls

and Taps that allow users to change

tools and view the hover Point feature

well to be honest haptics on the apple

pencil AR everything to me because after

2 years of using a variety of stylist to

draw it's not a big part of my creative

flow it would take some relearning to

make full use of it except barrel roll

barrel roll is pretty simp when you're

talking about a drawing experience that

allows you to control directional

application and effects on top of

pressure I adore texture brushes that

imitate markers and other traditional

media so I do see this specific addition

as an upgrade when I think about quick

tool switches I think about the Wacom

styluses and pens with those little

buttons on the side which are much

easier and intuitive to press a click in

comparison to the Apple pencils controls

because of its rather smooth solid

structure I don't find it the most

intuitive form for my new interactions

to even trigger the heptic functions I

find the movements pretty unnatural and

distracting to perform well in the zone

it's just not my cup of tea the magic

keyboard has also gotten an upgrade with

more keys an aluminum palum rest and a

larger glass track pad it's been refined

for a better working experience while

the keyboard isn't an integral part of

my own design flow I can imagine other

users who may benefit from these design

tweaks personally I'm glad that the the

Palm rest would change for a smoother

finish because the original material was

not only a little sticky but also

attracted dust and fur it became kind of

annoying when your portable tablet is

just slowly becoming more Dusty every

time you take it out of the bag but how

does it compared to other iPads or even

a Macbook other creatives have said this

as well but the iPad Pro 2024 is not yet

ready to completely replace the

macbook's power and efficiency it's hard

to outdo yourself when your product is

already so good however the experience

on the MacBook is not geared towards

artists it's built as an everyday laptop

for work and play on the other hand the

iPad series is a creative device that

has been evolved as a tablet to almost

be entirely screen maximizing immersion

in creative workflows and entertainment

software does not operate as well on the

iPads as they do on laptops and PCs

whether it's the functions or the

layouts most software are optimized for

laptop and PC use hence the capability

ities of the iPads are still Limited in

that direction on the other hand I can

confidently say that the iPad Pro 2024

is a way more refined machine than the

pro from 2022 the difference in image

quality rendering power has truly blown

me away and I'm excited to see what cool

stuff comes out of it side note iPads

last a long time but if you've got one

from before the 10th gen yours is

probably being discontinued so if you're

on the hunt for your next tablet I

genuinely think you should consider the

iPad Pro 2024 as a candidate even if

you're not an AR artist or creative of

any kind you'll still feel that huge

leap and Improvement in terms of viewing

experience smoothness and convenience
