all right so now we have these four-link
pieces all welded up and ready to go and
we'll bolt all this stuff to all that
stuff and we'll start placing it under
the C all right so now that we have our
little mockup bars in there and our four
link tabs I'll bolt it up and nice and
square I threw the wheels and tires on
it so that I can eyeball the center line
of the tire in the wheel well that way I
get a little bit better idea of where
those have to go under the car so this
isn't exact but it's going to give me a
good idea we can find tune the center
line of the axle with the actual hey
joint since it's all adjustable but this
gots Us in the ballpark so let's get it
in
[Music]
there and action all right so all right
now we're getting somewhere the rear end
is under the car and I just went under
there and measured and cross measured
and triple checked everything and this
rear end sits perfectly centered which
is crazy because I actually have
everything offset under the car I don't
know if when this car got chopped up cuz
it used to be a jet car when everything
got chopped up and this body is actually
not the original body it got replaced
because the wheelbase was pulled back on
the jet car build I don't know what
shifted but there are lots of things
under the car that just aren't Square so
there's a lot of
workarounds and uh you know that mixed
with years of going really fast and
leaving the line really hard things move
and shift it happens all the time so I
really really wanted to make sure that
this thing was as Square as I could
physically get it and this is pretty
Square so now that we have the rear end
centered under the car it gives me a
little bit better idea of where I have
to put the four link tabs under the car
they're going to need to be trimmed and
moved around a good bit but I can get a
measurement off of that main hoop right
there back to where the center line of
that lower is and I have to move it up
it's too low right now but but this is a
way better starting point than just
guessing it and I know that if I stick
it there I have enough adjustment in the
upper and lower that I can get the axle
centered so now we can get to

all right well we're wrapping up Ty you
ready to be done with this dude I am so
ready to be done with this all right
guys Moet is back together you can see
we don't have paint on anything yet well
we got to go test cuz we got a Pete in
town and we start sick week in a couple
days right how much time so we got to
make something happen we got to do at
least a 115 60t or something would you
think right justify all this work yeah
right so guys we're wrapping this thing
up right now we're about to bolt some
tires on it and head over to brington
Motorsports Park and try to make a hit
all right guys we are stealing the
shocks off of Leroy because they allow
for more extension the ones that we've
been running on mullet for years
don't seem very happy with this four
length we've got a lot of shaft showing
got too heavy of a spring so we're like
screw it all in one we'll go to a longer
shock and a lighter Spring by switching
to Leroy setup we had 110 lb Springs on
there not working out so good so we got
some 95s here luckily we have a lot of
extra parts laying around the shop to
make this work so after spending
thousands of dollars to make mullet go
faster with this new brand hopefully we
just ran into the best part of it all
mullet always had to have his tires
deflated to take the wheels and Tire off
the back of the car now you can see
comes right off because we've got a
little bit narrower of a rear end as
well as all that extra travel so look at
that Gap up there this end's going to be
up under the car more traction faster
and easier to work on all race week cuz
I would deflate and re-inflate these
tires every single day now I don't got
to do that worth it right there dude you
know all right guys we're doing a little
bit of scaling so we can see what the
preload is down on this thing oh yeah I
got to get in it okay all right now how
much do it
way boy he need to die 3340 3340 okay
and how much percentage on the nose 30
in this corner 26 in that corner so 56
on the nose okay it's not bad throw a
little weight on the rear right rear
with the any roll bar well yeah there's
nothing on the
rollar can I see that James so you want
a 100 lb difference total tie between
the rear left and rear right right yeah
somewhere in there is probably a good
starting point for this car okay okay
anything yet yep you're getting there
all right you're 90 yeah perfect right
there leave it right there all right 100
lb difference now all right so I guess
let's go racing yeah we're ready lock
down our Jam yeah let's make sure it
runs too yeah all right guys we're
staying here with Mr Tom Bailey owner of
sick week and sick the mag how you doing
today awesome we're dialed in we got
some big news for Freedom plus our
pay-per-view subscription service has
been entrusted by Tom Bailey to handle
the live streams for sick week so we're
going to be in charge of that drag race
live stream all week long there's going
to be a lot of racing and taking it to
the next level too that's the thing it's
like been talking I mean like the amount
of camera views the Drone and what's the
we got that big thing we got the big
screen from Project prime we're going
hard our pay-per-views at the end of
last year we had a couple issues here
and there so this year we're just having
a whole new take on it we already sat
down with the team and made a plan to
spend a lot more money than we're going
to make on this deal to have the screen
several camera angles we've already sent
our team to all the tracks to dial in
with the internet make sure we have the
shots we want cuz there's also a rolling
car camera like they got a camera
mounted to a car for following on the
road stuff on the road live streams yeah
I mean and checkpoint live streams like
I me it's going to be epic like this is
definitely next level here here's normal
live feed like we're up here we're
trying to really take to the next level
we're going to make sure these live
streams are killer for the sick weed
guys and we're offering 50% off to all
New Freedom plus subscribers for sick
week so if you use code sick week when
you sign up for Freedom plus which is
freedom plus.com you get it for half off
only $9.99 to watch the entire sik week
pay-per-view should be amazing we got a
lot of cars coming how many cars uh 350
cars 350 cars Max and that's the other
is if you're a subscriber to sick the
magazine then you're going to get a code
to be able to watch that for free that's
right so if you're already magazine
subscriber it's free yeah lots of ways
to watch it and I mean just the it's
going to be epic and also one thing
that's exciting is one of the first
checkpoints is the first day s week you
got to go to the freedom Factory and do
a lap in your race car we'll say minimum
one lap but I think we should allow
these guys do a few if they need to yeah
it's a the end of the day one drive so
you left Orlando and made the drive all
the way across the state over to here
and then stopping at the freedom Factory
that evening and then yeah lap around
there get a lap of the track 10 laps and
every every lap is timed too just so
there'll be a top 100 I'm winning that
I'll put mullet in the wall that time
guys SI week is right around the corner
January 28th dude that's like we got to
get back to work two weeks from now I
think is that day so all right we got to
get back to work guys big thanks to Tom
for letting us have the uh opportunity
to show sick week to you guys live on
the internet freedomplus.com get your
subscription now if you want or wait
till the week of but don't forget to use
code sck week for 50% off all right got
pressure we got a hot rod on our hands
boys good run of car
[Music]
there mullet on his way to the
racetrack what a good feeling this is
it's been a while
oh looking
good it's been a
[Laughter]
while all right well got steering wheels
so crooked but the car feels really nice
and smooth and I don't know I think
we're
good time to make a hit if we can go
fast all right got over here good Pete
we're just going to try this Christmas
tree race
T 680 and it had a 120 60t last time out
on this tun I mean we're it's a shot in
the dark right now to see what it'll do
but obviously by the end of the day we
want a real nasty 60 out of it that
would be ideal hopefully this one goes
straight start that be good that be good
we just measured it with a tape measure
so not sure what'll
happen mullet is back on the track in
the water
box with a four link come on
baby there we go mullet's first four
length burnout I just want to take take
a little screenshot and put it on the
wall there we
go nice dead straight beautiful man
beautiful that was great that was pretty
that was great out of the box right rock
all right 119 that 2. 120 flat 456 at
164 and roll to a 754 dial not bad right
where we left off man that is 120 to 60
fo on the old suspension that's
money
so on a run like that first run with the
new rear end I'm just trying to remember
the inputs I'm putting in and although
my steering wheel's crooked it always
has been I really wasn't having to drive
it it it kind of went straight didn't
feel that fast but hey it's a start that
had to work didn't
spin it was slow though I'll say that it
was pretty slow
now we'll get back we'll make sure the
drive shaft didn't like rub on anything
back check everything over make sure
it's all tight
nothing it won make Ty how you feel
about that bud I feel freaking
fantastic
like going to strike the tire spin go
hard right something but it's not going
to go straight and it's probably not
going to hook we're going to have some
work to do and it just does it so
awesome I mean not for nothing it drove
as straight as it drove before like it
always HED a little bit and there it
just barely hunted right went down
through there the same tune up around
the same time that rear suspension is so
much more tunable now like before we
kind of had to dance with it a little
bit now I can like preload it we can put
rear steer in it we can add roll bar we
can do shock adjustments will work a lot
better and be more predictable so she's
dialed oh or she's going to be
dialed guys knocked NE on that didn't
huh yes sir yes here he is old big dog
mullet feel better now
Ty I wasn't really driving it at all it
just was going straight Bron it's not
that fast yet but what was 6
119 that's what that that's what this
tuneup did last time out with 120 flat
so well gosh darn you're dial it's like
we know what we're doing Som
days only about 3% of the days but we do
sometimes get it right now we're good
yeah let's make sure the drive shaft
didn't rub anything and let's turn it up
a not brother I want to go a 290 to the
330 before the end of the day that make
me feel real good yeah what do you want
to do now you want to turn it up turn up
well let's look at the shock data I
guess
see that laptop brother yeah we'd love
to help you but you know you got to
practice for sick weeks so cat's running
out of the trailer today just to kind of
get back in the getting in the zone yeah
get back in the zone exactly question is
do the drive shaft rub anything that's
what I wanted now find
out looks good to me looks good y so we
went 450 on 29 lb of
boost that'll do start off with all
right so it looks like we extended 3 in
over 3 seconds yep that's pretty slow
then for suspension movement is that cuz
we low power or well it's probably
several things but one of which is low
power for sure okay so should we adjust
the bar angle or anything or just so
right now we're just going to add power
and then see what happens should come
out a little farther well I doubt it
travel travel any farther but it should
come out a little quicker okay all right
well how much travel do you want it
depends but um like a lot of some of
these cars will'll see 7 in or more you
know oh my gosh but I don't think we're
going to be able to do that because of
the geometric restrictions we got with
this with the wheel base and yeah okay
definitely get more tell me what you
want brother we'll make it happen boy P
sprinkled in some boost some starting
line power go out and see if it works
here we go ready for the second
pass mullet pulling
up
all right well it looked real good let's
see what we got so looking like Jack all
right dude picked up one number to the
60 foot Bo 303 448 169 was 17 mph roll
into a 718 out
155 man she Boogie defitely turned her
out through in the middle
there
let's
go dude let's go dude fire me up almost
any other pass I would have felt a
little bit of Tire Shake through there
there was no tire shake like I was
subconsciously waiting for the tire
Shake just out of habit and it didn't
shake at all it was dead
smooth that was probably one of the
smoothest runs I've ever felt at that
speed oh man this is promising this is
making it all feel worth it guys fire me
up all right we got a good old pressure
battery's charging the water ts are good
second pass down let's
go here we
[Music]
go how we looking how we looking uh no
faster short but it went a
303 oh so faster than a 330 yeah all I
said is I want a 290 to 330 we're
already at 30 you're almost you're
almost there so 11960 ft again
18608 so a little bit faster yeah and no
tire Shake normally when I go that fast
through the 330 I get a little bit of a
it look good smooth dude so see just a
little bit more through the middle and
then maybe well we got to hit it harder
at the line too I can just tell it's a
little tame down a lot I'm going to tell
Pete let's see that one3
60 what's going on down here bud uh
we're doing a little bar change so we're
going to go ahead and move this lower
bar up one hole just to make it a little
more aggressive I guess uh Pete was
saying that the data logs look like it's
a little too lazy so we're going to try
to get it separate a little harder cuz
we know we're going to be going to
tracks that do not have good traction
they're not exactly the uh world class
Cru we're used to at braiding t so we're
just going to dial her in a little bit
all right guys well as you saw we did a
bar change we added some boost we should
break into the 290s to the 330 on this
when you go twos to the 330t mark you're
going pretty fast so we should pick up a
little 60t little
330 that's if everything
works
here we go mullet third time down the
track looking for that
290 there we go good clean burn out for
mullet oh
baby there we go 669 some Sparks out of
the bottom down there she separ she look
good yeah she is separ something
something sparred up yeah I seen that I
seen that 117 31 444 669 and 212 not
where you want it to be but we're
getting close getting there getting
there
oh
all
right went the full corner cuz it felt
good wanted to make sure the lock up
everything was going good that was a
good run so I was like you know what
let's run it out make sure we got a full
steam hot ride on our hands here and it
was so dead straight so perfect
woo here's
mullet
[Music]
better yeah it felt good like you know
what we're low on time for the day
already let me run a quarter so 117
short 301 444 172 669 at 22 all right
chilling dude easy it was so stable I
did do a rookie move and uh didn't pull
my my parachutes right away so I relied
on my TDM brakes most my stopping power
I'm sure they were well they were
smoking hot after but I'm sure they're
bright red we had to break them in
they're now broken in so they work great
that's good all right you need those T
well we'll get that dat to I mean 301 to
330 I said I want 290 so let's make
another hit to be honest still no signs
of Tire shake or nothing it's like so
stable just cranking them out and we
made that bar chain so I'm excited to
see
extended fur visually it
definely l
brother link so that time separated 5 in
of the in the back so we're making
progress I don't know if that's too much
or what but it works good so we're going
to show Pete the data go from there we
got that extension on that one Pete
right that's what we're looking for real
good at doing stuff there so that purple
lines the rear suspension travel yeah it
goes way up there bit of five in now
every bit of five in in 3 seconds is
that good or do you want that's that's
much better okay you want to leave it
there then we probably don't need to go
too much more cuz if we go a lot more
you're going to get in trouble with not
having enough shock in there and all
that so all
right oh
baby come on
bullet
oh bullet acting a little bit funny on
that
burnout oh well he was out of bit before
the 330 and he got us
2999 my God 114 short 299 out of it but
the front end came off the ground he
couldn't steer it back from it driving
right so it was about to do something I
did not see that com to do something man
299 oh he got us
290 he out of it you can see where you
got to have
about
all right that time was a little sketch
well it's got a little right steering
but the front tires came out the ground
so you couldn't Ste back I I know I I
was like come on come on front tires the
ground when that so that one we need
some rear stering a little bit of rear
St to get the car back driving straight
so when the front tire is too the ground
it tried to do it on the last one but
the tire was just on the ground enough
that one the fronts were off the ground
I was like dang it
11460 he lifted about 250 ft into the
run when he got out of gas 29999 it's
still with a 290 let's go all right two
9999999 all right so we got our number
letting off yeah we uh got a great 60t
tie 114 like you know what you're doing
bud I know what I'm doing all right so
we definitely need to figure out a
little bit of rearer a little bit of
rear steer to make it stay a little bit
more left so if you make that adjustment
we can't make any more runs today we're
done but overall a great success shout
out to Pete Harold on the tuning real
good at doing stuff he'll be with me all
of s week we got Ruby done we got M done
cuz all these guys hard work all these
guys just been crushing really
[Music]
tight no seriously the guys in the shop
been going hard to make all this happen
so it looks like Ruby and mullet are
ready for sick week gu we'll see you
guys on SI week with at least two cars
we're working on another one I also want
to put on record that four lengths oh
ri's cleaning out the toolbox four
lengths normally do not get figured out
in four
runs
so we got some sort of Miracle on our
side plus we got Pete that really helps
of being good and luck at the same time
you can be really good and the four
length still doesn't go that simple or
that easy
yeah
yeah I know we went
11460 I'd say off the trailer but we
drove in here yeah a 114 60t is not bad
obviously it drove a little right that's
that's easy fix all right brother I'll
see you on sick week you going to check
that data log it was rolling dude I mean
I lifted and still went a 290 and the
330 all right guys mullet's ready four
sick week just got a couple more things
to do in the shop but I'm about to drive
it home that's it for now thanks for
watching do it for wef crank in and see
you
