🚬 Overview of Vopo Argus G2 Mini
Taylor from the Ox of Vapor YouTube channel introduces the Vopo Argus G2 Mini, the latest addition to the Argus family. The device is compatible with Argus pods and features a new top-fill variant for easier filling. It measures 110mm by 25.6 x 13.4mm and has a 30W maximum output, making it suitable for the recent 0.4 ohm pods. The G2 Mini comes with a 1200mAh battery, which is competitive for its size. The device has an airflow adjustment and a unique feature: a controllable indicator light that can be turned on or off by puffing on the device three times within 2 seconds. Taylor reviews the device's design, including its eight color options and the type-C charging port. He also discusses the battery indicator light, which turns red at 15% capacity, and expresses a desire for a more detailed battery life indicator. Taylor positions the G2 Mini as a basic model in the Argus range, slightly more advanced than the Argus Zed but not as premium as the P1 and P2 models.
📦 Packaging and Design Critique
Taylor discusses the design and packaging of the Vopo Argus G2 Mini. He notes that while the device itself feels premium and has a good ergonomic design, the packaging detracts from this impression. The device comes in a plastic sleeve, which Taylor feels makes it seem disposable. He contrasts this with the presentation of other devices, such as the Argus Zed, which came in a foam tray, giving a more premium feel. Taylor also mentions that the device does not come with a charging cable, which he sees as a minor issue since most people have type-C cables. He concludes by reiterating that the G2 Mini is a reliable addition to the Argus family, suitable as an upgrade from the Argus Zed due to its slightly larger size and improved features like the top-fill pod design and airflow control. However, he maintains that his personal favorites remain the P1 and P2 models for their compact and premium feel.

hello everyone and welcome back to the
ox of vapor YouTube channel I'm Taylor
and today we're going to be having a
look at the vopo Argus G2 Mini so the G2
Mini is the latest in The Argus family
from vupu it follows the same sort of
Mantra still uses the same Argus pods
although there is a new variant with a
top fill design which can make it a
little bit more easy to fill compared to
the bottom fill traditional style the
device itself is 110 mm by 25.6 X 13.4
so it's actually a bit taller than most
of the Argus range it has a 30 W maximum
output so that makes the best out of the
more recent 0.4 ohm pods although in the
Box you will get a 0.7 ohm pod which is
probably the most popular in the range
it comes with a 1200 M battery which is
pretty competitive when it comes to
these smaller pod devices there aren't
many more of this size that offer any
more than that the only one I can think
off the top of my head is the New Oxford
xlin Pro 2 actually has a 1300 M battery
but when it comes to it the likelihood
of you noticing 100 m either way isn't
very high on the back of the device
there is an airflow adjustment um it's
your traditional slide although what I
do like about this one in particular is
even when it's closed it still has a
pinhole air flow uh I know a lot of
them if someone was to close it because
they like the tight
airflow it can really really choke the
The Vape but this stops that from
happening so those people that like a
tight draw and often close the airflow
won't actually hinder the life of their
pod by closing it completely there's a
total of eight colors available for this
device um with me I have the Violet pink
because I'm very much in touch with my
feminine side or it's the only one we
had available I'll let you decide on the
bottom of the device is the type-c
charging although when you look at the
bottom of the device you're likely to
notice something else before you notice
the charge port and that is what vuo
call a controllable indicator light now
from what I can tell all this is is a
light that comes on when you use the
device it's not really controllable as
such by controllable what they mean is
it turns on and off you can have it on
or you can have it off and one of my
main issues with this device is actually
how you turn that on and off I've never
seen this on a device before but you
change the setting of this light by
puffing on the device if you puff on the
device three times within 2 seconds
it will then trigger the light to come
on or off now using
Puffs I can I can see why you would
maybe want to but in my mind surely just
have a button or a switch or you know
something else I know that there's no
buttons on this device and that's why
they've done it I just don't like that
setting if you have to put a setting in
a device with no buttons don't have the
feature that needs the settings
especially when it's something as
relatively pointless as an indic
indicator light at the bottom of the
device under the logo is your actual
battery indicator light it will be white
from 100% down to 15% and then when it
hits 15% capacity it will then turn red
this is another slight issue I have with
it is a lot of devices now have three
four even five different lights to show
you how charged the device is this
device doesn't have that so it's quite
difficult to rely on the battery
indicator to tell you how charged the
battery is because there's such a big
Gulf between 100% And 15% that you don't
know off the top of your head where in
that range the device is so you could go
out for the day on it with it being
white and 5 minutes into your journey it
turned red and then you've got no hope
basically of that lasting the day I do
wish that it had a little bit more like
the vaporesso where it has the four
colors you know they have the green blue
purple red and that then gives you a
much better indication of how much
battery you have left rather than just
leave it to the last minute from my
point of view the G2 Mini is probably
the second most basic in the range of
the Argus family the most basic I think
is still the Argus Zed it's smaller it
has a smaller battery doesn't have the
light or anything like that I think that
is just a little bit more basic but this
isn't far behind it I don't think any of
the features bar the bigger battery that
this has really sets it apart from The
Argus Zed I would think of it more as
almost a successor to it more of a
sideward step than a forward step if
that makes sense my personal favorite in
the range I think is still the P1 and
the P2 I really like the compact design
of them they're more Square uh but also
the look of them and the feel of them
they do feel a little bit more premium
yes you do pay a bit more for them but I
think if I was to buy an Argus for
myself it would still be one of the P
series ones and just on the the P1 being
Square this is actually a little bit
taller than the rest of the range um the
arus said uh the pod the P one and two
they're all a lot squatter this one is
quite tall now I can see that having an
an appeal to some people I mean the the
taller style of pods are still the most
popular maybe that's through demand
maybe that's through abundant Supply I
guess we don't know but it is a little
bit of a different look compared to what
we've seen before the pods as always The
Argus range and the arus pods have
always been very good very dependable
there's very little issues with them
that we've found I think that this this
new design of them it hasn't improved
the the usage of them as such in terms
of of flavor and Longevity but it has
made it that little bit easier to fill
so that you now don't have to take the
Pod out in in order to fill the Pod one
issue I have found um using these pods
is occasionally if you're wearing quite
tight trousers you need to be careful
that it doesn't accidentally hook and
pop the Pod open I I've fallen a victim
to having a a a wet patch on my on my
trousers due
to uh yeah due to it popping open now
the only other real downside to this and
it is petty but how the amount of
devices that I look at I do notice these
things is the packaging I have no issue
with the Box itself the box is fine I
know these smaller boxes are more common
now without the charging cable
unfortunately it doesn't come with a
charging cable I guess they're following
the sort of Apple route now of saying
that it's more environmentally friendly
not too and to be fair to them a lot of
people now do have typc charging cables
if for whatever reason you don't I think
you are in a minority um so I don't
think it's a massive issue that it
doesn't come with it what is a slight
issue is that when when you open the box
a lot of devices now I mean Oxford are
very good at this it will sort of
present the device to you now V have
gone in a different direction obviously
with this
packaging but what I really don't like
is when the device comes out of the box
it comes in a plastic sleeve like this
now to me this makes it feel every inch
a disposable device which this isn't
obviously I think it really takes away
from the premium feel of the rest of the
device because it does feel nice it's
metal it's it's a good design it's nice
ergonomic but I think the fact that
they've cheaped out on the packaging to
this extent I think is is a little bit
of a let down I mean even The Argus said
that that came before before it came in
a small box similar to this but it came
in a foam tray so that it just felt a
little bit more premium and it didn't
feel like you were opening and
disposable I think overall it's a very
good addition to the the arus family
which has always been a very good very
dependable you know uh range of Vapes
from vuo it follows along with this I
wouldn't say it's a massive advancement
in anything that they've done before
there's no new features or anything like
that on this but it's a very good
successor to something like the Zed so
if you did enjoy the Argus Zed and
wanted something either a bit longer
with a little bit more battery life with
an airflow there are just these little
improvements on this one which I now see
as the sort of base of the range there
are these little improvements that could
sort of tip it over the edge to buying
this one over the Zed and having used it
myself obviously it follows along with
that the pods are always great the
device seems quality other than the
packaging and yeah I think it's it's
it's a very good sort of standard
refillable pod device well I hope you
enjoyed that review let me know what you
think it in the comments uh you're going
to buy one for yourself with that said
please uh remember to leave a like
comment and subscribe to the channel and
