Summary
TLDRIn this tutorial video, viewers are guided through the process of creating custom structures with loot in Minecraft. Starting with creating a 'common loot' chest, the tutorial progresses to modifying a command block and utilizing redstone to trigger the loot. The presenter then demonstrates how to save and place the structure in the game world, ensuring the loot remains randomized. The video concludes with the successful spawning of the custom structure in a desert environment, complete with enchanted items, showcasing the creative possibilities for Minecraft enthusiasts.
Takeaways
- 🛠 The video is a tutorial on creating custom structures with loot inside in Minecraft.
- 🔄 The process starts by creating a custom loop named 'common loot' which will serve as the loot table.
- 📝 The player must register the name of the loot table and create a loop for it.
- 🎵 The video includes music in the background while the structure is being created.
- 📦 After creating the structure, the player is instructed to run the game and use a command block with a specific command.
- 🔑 The command in the command block needs to be modified to include the mod's name and the loot table name in lowercase with underscores.
- 🔭 The player can use a lever or redstone to activate the command block and check the loot in the chest.
- 🗝️ Pressing the control and middle mouse button allows the player to pick up the chest without opening it, ensuring randomness.
- 🏰 The tutorial then moves on to saving the structure with a structure block and ensuring it fits well within the Minecraft world.
- 🌵 The structure is set to spawn only on sand, both normal and red, to ensure it integrates naturally into the game environment.
- 🔍 The final step is to test the structure in the game, confirming that it spawns correctly and contains the desired loot.
Q & A
What is the main topic of the video?
-The main topic of the video is teaching viewers how to create custom structures with loot inside in Minecraft.
What is the first step in creating a custom structure as described in the video?
-The first step is to create a custom loop, which the video creator names 'common loot', and then turn it into a chest with a specific register name.
What is the purpose of using a command block in the video?
-The command block is used to input a command that will generate the custom structure with the loot when activated by a lever or redstone.
How should the namespace in the command be modified according to the video?
-The namespace should be changed to the lowercase name of the mod, using an underscore instead of a space.
What is the importance of not opening the chest before placing it in the structure?
-Not opening the chest before placing it in the structure ensures that each structure has a unique loot when generated, rather than the same loot for every structure.
What is the process of saving the structure in the video?
-The process involves using a structure block and some voids to define the structure's corners, ensuring all parts of the structure are inside the defined area, and then saving it.
What is the significance of the 'desert fossil' name used in the video?
-The 'desert fossil' name is used to identify the custom structure, which is intended to spawn in desert biomes.
How does the video creator ensure the structure fits into the world naturally?
-The creator adjusts the structure's settings to only spawn on sand and uses structure voids to make it fit into the world naturally.
What is the final step to see the custom structure working in the game?
-The final step is to go into the game, locate a suitable biome, and observe the structure spawning with the custom loot inside.
What additional feature can be done with the custom structures according to the video?
-The custom structures can be made to have as much loot as desired and can include multiple loot tables.
What does the video creator suggest at the end of the video?
-The video creator suggests that viewers should like and subscribe for more content and says goodbye until the next video.
Outlines
🛠️ Custom Structure Creation with Loot
This paragraph introduces a tutorial on creating custom structures with loot in Minecraft. The process begins with naming a custom loop and turning it into a chest, which will serve as the loot container. The creator demonstrates how to build the structure, emphasizing the importance of not opening the chest before saving to avoid uniform loot across all instances. The use of a command block with a specific command, which will be provided in the description, is highlighted as a key step. The tutorial also covers using a lever or redstone to activate the loot mechanism, ensuring that each chest placed down will have random loot.
🏜️ Placing and Saving the Structure
The second paragraph details the steps to place the loot-filled chest within a custom structure without opening it to maintain unique loot for each structure. The process involves using structure blocks to define the structure's corners and naming it, in this case, 'desert fossil'. The importance of saving the structure correctly is emphasized, ensuring all parts are inside the structure bounds. The creator then explains how to adjust the structure in the game to fit naturally in the world, including using structure voids and ensuring the bottom blocks are red. Finally, the structure is saved and imported into the game's resource system, with settings to control its spawn conditions, such as only on sand. The paragraph concludes with a demonstration of the structure spawning in the game world with the loot-filled chest intact.

Transcripts
hello and welcome to a new video today
i'll be showing you how to make custom
structures with blue inside
so first of all we're gonna get started
off by making our custom loop
and i'm gonna call this
um common loot
so this is going to be like this and
then i'm going to make it into a chest
so that's the register name
now uh i'm gonna make my loop
[Music]
so
[Music]
alright so i'm done with my structure
now
just run your game
all right so inside the game
what we're gonna do is uh give ourselves
a command block
and you need to place it down and paste
in this command uh command
and this will be in the description and
you need to
modify it a bit
so over here
uh more
on
the small namespace
you need to change it to
the name of your mode
but lowercase and you need to use
uh
this uh underscore instead of uh space
so
my mod's name is
this
so that's my morning and then typius
chest
and then the loot table name is
common loop
and i'm just gonna come uh
save it and then
get myself a lever or any redstone and
run it
and they should have my loot in it yep
you can see that
you can press uh control middle mouse
button to get the chest
and if you don't open it then any chest
you place down will be random
and you can see that
so here's my loop
and when you're placing it inside of the
structure
don't open it before saving the
structure otherwise it's gonna have the
same loot
and that's done
so i'm gonna make my structure real
quick
let's see
what i could make
[Music]
[Music]
so
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
alright so i'm done with my structure
and
now i'm gonna just put my chest down
um in the middle of there
so no one can yeah and i
and i don't want to open it because if i
open it
it's gonna have the same look for every
structure that spawns
and i don't want that so yeah
now i'm gonna save my structure so give
myself a structure block
and some voids
and now i'm gonna get the locate
over here
so that's the corner
and i'm going to call this desert
corner
i'm in desert
desert fossil
so that's going to be the name
and this is the corner
copy that
then bring it over here
outside uh to the other corner and at
the top
so that should cover it
so uh
go
so that that's the corner
now go to
save detect
and here it goes that's detected and
make sure all of your structure is
inside
and then uh to make it a better and with
fit in to their world and you need to do
this
[Music]
so the world is messed up so i'm just
gonna place uh some structure words in
the corner
actually i'm going to go to my
here and turn on
my structures
structure boys and place them down
and make sure
the bottom ones are all red
all right i got that
now i can save it
so that's saved up now you can close
your game
and keep that structure
oh uh so that's done now go into
resources structures
and import structure from minecraft and
import that desert fossil
and then now make your structure
normally
[Music]
so desert fossil
i'm gonna put the a spawn rip quite high
because i want to show it to you guys
and then everything else seems good
i'm gonna set us i'm gonna make it so he
only spawns on sand
a normal sand and red sand
and
you have to save it now
and go into the game and let's see how
structured works
alright so the world is being created
right now and we should see our
structures
without the inside and yeah
so uh there's no sand here
so we'll just move on
i'm gonna i'm gonna locate a desert
and that's not far away because that's
just savannah
and here we here it is our structure
and now i can go in and here's our chest
and it has loot inside of it
and let's look for more
there
and it has an iron sword enchanted iron
sword inside
just keep on going
and this one has model
and yeah so these are the structures
you can make them have as much loot as
you want as many loot tables
that's it then
so
i hope you guys enjoyed the video make
sure to like and subscribe and see you
next time bye
