🎨 Stand Design and Graphic Placement
The script discusses the design of a trade show stand, focusing on the placement of graphics and the inclusion of a QR code. Concerns are raised about the visibility of the stand's elements, especially with a table obstructing the view. The participants consider moving the logo and QR code to the top of the stand to improve visibility and suggest resizing the large image to avoid it being overshadowed on the backdrop. They also discuss the success of a previous setup at IBC and the importance of the banner's headline in attracting attention.
📐 Adjusting Graphic Elements for Better Visibility
In this paragraph, the team discusses the need to adjust the size and placement of graphic elements on the stand to ensure better visibility and balance. They consider reducing the size of the overall graphic, including callouts and country identifiers, to make room for the QR code and logo at the top. The conversation also touches on the dimensions required for the IBC event and the process for providing images to event organizers. The team confirms that they have the necessary high-resolution vector files for the panels.
📆 Deadlines and Access Permissions
The final paragraph addresses the deadlines for the MIPCOM and IBC events, highlighting the urgency for the MIPCOM deadline. The team also discusses access permissions for online resources, with one member needing to request access for another. Transcripts
here is this this is the space that we
have okay so we get one wall that we can
put a graphic on um that's included in
the price of the stand and it's this
one okay so these are just going to be
white or whatever um so we also get to
put a graphic up here and we could get
to put a graphic here um Teresa and we
had a conversation whether there wasn't
necessarily keen on having the the you
know this backdrop color up here am I
remembering that right Gina yes yes
that's correct okay um because I thought
you know if we could get the color up
here to kind of match and flow would be
you know would be okay but she doesn't
want to do that so this is just going to
be white okay well my concern is is
where all this stuff is down here and so
um that's why I included this is the
image of the stand at IBC last year okay
so you can see the
um you know we we tried you know when I
put this together I knew that this was
going to be the layout so and this is
essentially the same layout that we have
for IBC this year so I need a graphic
for this as well but you can see that
the the QR code's up here gotcha we did
observe people walking by the the stand
at IBC and holding up their camera and
getting the Q code up QR code up here so
if we go back to again I don't know how
to use TR
um if you do here it's down here and so
the logo's hidden this stuff is
difficult to see when there's a table in
the way so if you go back and look at
what it's going to be for IBC that would
be problematic yeah okay so I I yeah my
first initial gut is to put the logo and
the QR code and move everything else
below where that space would have been
taken out by the logo and QR
code what does that mean I'm sorry can
you be so you mean to have it at the top
like they do right there and and the
images and verbage underneath it yeah
and that way everything would just move
down to where to take up the space that
the logo and the QR code we taking up in
the new design I probably should show it
to you on yeah right there so
just the logo is right right behind that
table and then the QR code is as well we
move that up to the top yeah and then
move everything else down just a little
bit and make maybe make this a little
smaller too okay
um well otherwise that big image is
gonna get lost on that backdrop
right um I
mean when when we were here this was at
um ente anch
and so um you know people they had to
kind of look behind the chair if they
were standing in front of it to see what
this stuff was here below so you know if
this was a little smaller moved up and I
see you know putting that up here and
the logo up up here or wherever else you
want to put it but make this stuff a
little smaller so it's it's it it
doesn't eat up 100% of the space right
because if you think about it too if you
go
here um
um you know you can almost stand outside
the booth and see what these things are
yeah so question how like from your
experience how many is it pretty common
for somebody to walk up and sort of look
at the banner or they just walking up to
talk to
you no people I H just to God this was
this particular setup was the most
successful one we've ever had okay um I
mean people stopped and read it I think
part of it was you know the caption you
know or the headline here um because
pretty much everybody at IBC has you
know involved in content internationally
so it was it was the hook okay um but uh
but they stopped and read it so when
they came up and started to have a
conversation with us they kind of knew
what we were getting at because they
could see it here okay and then we you
know we had the the TV here so so if you
go back to what it's going to look at
here the TV is going to be back here
that's kind of where we have to have it
I kind of wanted it to be here right um
because back here there's like a table
and in and stuff um but you know it is
what it is
okay um so the other question actually
that I have
is because you already have a branded
Banner or or sorry um stand
uh I'm kind of wondering if the spherics
logo is not as important on the graphic
to move it up that way we don't have to
mess with any spacing we just literally
plop the QR code in the corner in the
upper
corner I would say that because of the
direction it faces that it still needs
the logo okay so there's that would be
my sense of it what about you Todd you
know better than me because I don't and
I and I and I think frankly um um we're
going to redo the
banner because it does eat up so much
space for other shows
oh oh we are okay I mean that that
that's a that's a use of a lot of space
this is 10
feet right
yeah so it doesn't it doesn't it's a bit
overwhelming gotcha I mean you don't
really notice it until you're standing
in front of yeah yeah so then Todd are
you just saying just is for my own
understanding I apologize but you're
saying make the image smaller um but but
you're saying that there's too many
things on there what are you asking are
you just asking to make saying this this
here should be smaller okay but every
all the elements of it can
remain yeah yeah I think it just the
lawn guy is outside my window I can't
hear you uh so I think I think if I'm
understanding it's just the whole
graphic with all the elements like the
little call outs and the country and all
that just make it a little bit smaller
and then that way when I throw the QR
code and the and the spheric logo at the
top it it balances out a little bit
better yeah and you could probably make
this a little smaller too
sure yeah so it's you can you can go
back and look at at this you anytime you
want but I mean you can it's you know
this wasn't an overwhelming image but
people could still read what was there
sure
yep this this is still 10et so okay and
then uh so the so the
dimensions that you emailed yesterday so
that is for this task that we're talking
about right now the this booth this okay
all right and then the IBC so what
um I understand what we need to do for
mecom IBC what is the difference and is
the information that I captured in that
Trello ticket is that
correct yeah okay so this if you go here
let me
just X
here there isn't there isn't an X there
Todd okay all right so if you look at if
you follow this link Yep this is is this
is the IBC Ry Amsterdam is IBC this is
the size we need for the graphic for
them
right what about for the for the panels
though the upper and I think it's
left or right do they these are just
these are just like EPS files that we
send them oh okay cool so you already
have those
right yeah okay all right good I mean
the ones that we the ones that we
downloaded that's the highest resolution
you have right yeah I mean those are
those are vector you can't get much
higher than that okay all right all
right yeah so no you don't have to you
don't have to draw anything we just give
them the image and then they stick in
there okay all right that's that's
straightforward I I I know what to do
then okay and then um with the
dimensions oh come
on um
wait this is yeah this is for
IBC and where did they put
the well I just I copied and pasted what
you what you did what you
said like if you look right there it
says here are the
basics
this so these are the IBC requirements
where did I put
thec where did I put them well
yeah right there mipcom Booth
design well yeah but that's um but R
fiber is r Wait is it
here it's going to be the same
thing
yep yeah I think that's where my
confusion was that I didn't know which
Dimensions were for
what okay
um right so who do I need to get
permission from for this well actually I
gave it to you guys under the internet
you must have a different browser open
because like if there if I use one
browser it won't open up but then if I
use use my Gina browser it will so you
must have another browser if you've
already been in
there yeah and I believe I also gave um
I I also gave International ratings The
that's me yeah yeah so that every
time um I've been requested access it's
always International ratings yeah I
don't know why it does that Tim I'm
sorry I know the deal on that's why I
hate Google I hate anything to do with
Google okay it is what it
yeah but uh yeah that's that's my uh
work site and I apologize I don't know
why it does that yeah no worries so Todd
all you have to do is just I could
literally do it right now you just click
on one of those things uh say request
access and I can do it like as we speak
and you'll have it within minutes so in
fact the one you just asked I just gave
you
access okay all right what
I would have thought you already had it
though yeah
no yeah so that one click that I just
gave you
access yeah it says request
access um I don't get it anyway what let
me let me do this Tim I'll I'll go I'll
find the um the mcom spec and I'll stick
it in here for you but I'll also email
it to you I'll give it to you in a few
minutes okay sounds good and then so
then so then part of the confusion was
then so what is what is the difference
with IBC is that like when does that
need to be done and what are the
information on that uh we have until the
middle of next month for IBC but we have
until tomorrow for
MC gotcha
okay so let me find this for you and
I'll send it over okay sounds good while
I have you on the phone did Teresa get
you your feedback yesterday uh no the
only feedback she got was for the case
study she the use case did you get the
one for Sony too yet I haven't got
anything for Sony and then I didn't get
any feedback for the
homepage all right I I'll I'll ping her
again thank you all right sounds good
all right thanks guys all right bye bye
