if you do prospecting from linkedin
today your dream is going to come true
we're going to copy information from
linkedin to google sheets without any
copy pasting in just a few clicks and
let's get started right now here i have
14.8 chrome extension installed you're
looking for the automation that's called
copy linkedin profile data to google
sheets just like this you're going to
pick the spreadsheet you want to add the
information to i can also create a new
spreadsheet
and call it leads
hit enter hit enter one more time and
the new spreadsheet is going to create
it with all the information from this
profile extracted directly to google
sheets let's click on view and you'll
see all of the data neatly organized
zero copy pasting
hello my name is renat and in this video
i'm going to show you how to do
prospecting from linkedin and save
profile information and a bunch of other
data to google sheets very easily with
just a few clicks so we're going to be
using burden.ai workflow automation tool
and it has a web scraper built in as one
of the actions and then you can add
another layer of automations and other
actions such as google sheets it can be
notion airtable or any other app where
we are going to store this information
so in order for us to build an
automation like this we're going to do
the following so open the chrome
extension you can download it in the
description below and here we have the
automation again you'll have access to
it when you click on the link in the
description and we can configure this
automation to do what we want it to do
so if you open this automation and
builder you can see the scraper action
it uses a scraper template that knows
which data fields you want to collect
and then it uses also another action
that adds information to a specific
google sheet so here we have an argument
that we're going to be asked every time
we want to save a person to google
sheets so instead of us specifying which
spreadsheet we want to add information
to we can just
add an existing spreadsheet it's called
leads and we're going to map the data
from the previous action to this add
rows to spreadsheet action so coming
from the scraper to google sheets and
let's save this automation we're going
to close the builder
here we have the automation let me
delete the duplicate so it doesn't show
and you can click on another profile so
here we have artem i'm going to hit
option b shortcut click on the
automation and this lead is going to get
added again to our spreadsheet
right here
and then i can
click on another person
let's
go to matthias
and let's save matthias to that same
spreadsheet that was specified so here's
matthias and you can go ahead and do
exactly the same thing for pretty much
any person on linkedin and now let's
have a little bit more fun with it you
can trigger the automation with this
shortcut option b and click on the
playbook card you can also collapse the
view so it shows in the side panel but i
actually want to make it a right click
automation and i'm going to show you
exactly what this means so let's open
this automation in the builder and i
want to
add a trigger that's called
right-click
right here and we're going to give it a
name let's name it
leads
that's the option that's going to show
up when we right click on something hit
done
save this playbook close it
enable the automation just like this and
now if we want to go to another person
here we have pascal for example i'm
going to right click
anywhere on the website and here i have
an automation that's called leads so i'm
going to hit it and the data is going to
get extracted and saved to google sheets
automatically it's that easy and now you
might be thinking what if you want to
extract a lot more information at once
from say linkedin search there's an
option for us to do that as well it's a
pre-built automation that you will also
have access to by going down to that
link in the description below let's open
burden with a shortcut over here
expand the view and then here in the
explore section you'll be able to find
pre-built automations we have that one
pre-built so i can create a new playbook
browse through playbooks that are
pre-built so they have pre-built scraper
templates and i have linkedin search
somewhere okay get data from linkedin
search
right here and what that is going to do
is going to find
all of the people on the list here in
linkedin i already have gone to people
in linkedin search and typed in go to
market we're hiring and now let's do
option b shortcut to reopen the builder
and here we have two actions it's the
deep scraper meaning that it's not only
going to scrape the list that's
currently visible it's going to go
through each one of the links and going
to extract a little bit more information
finally we want to add that information
to a spreadsheet so let's find google
sheets let's add rows to google sheet
let's find
leads that's the spreadsheet that we've
created in the beginning map the data
from the second action
that's
additional data that we're getting from
each individual page
hit save and call this automation
linkedin search
to sheets
okay that's our automation let's hit
save
close the builder click on the
automation and it's going to ask us how
many results we want to scrape
for the demo purposes i want to scrape
let's do five results and i'm going to
run this playbook you can go ahead and
do whatever you want to do essentially
what the south nation does it gets the
five list items from this list and then
it scrapes each individual item in the
background so the scraper goes to every
one of those links and opens each page
so you can extract additional
information that's just not visible here
on the list such as somebody's education
and current job title and things like
that and when done you can click on the
chrome extension over here you can
click on the activities and view the
results it's going to show that specific
spreadsheet so here we have all of the
information with five additional
profiles
obviously be wary of scraping too many
profiles this is something that linkedin
enforces they don't want you to be doing
this type of stuff so maybe limit your
results to a couple hundred max a day
it's up to you and now you might be
wondering what to do with all of this
information well if you do prospecting
you can also mass email the people
you've just hand-picked and selected in
a personalized way of course is the best
i would usually put a personalization
column so you can do like a mail merge
of some sort but you cannot do this if
you do not have somebody's email so here
is what we're going to do pick a profile
that you're interested in let's get
artem's profile copy it and i have a
tool that's called find that lead and
here in social you can just paste the
url over here
and magically it finds the email of the
person you can also upload in bulk your
entire list and get emails for all of
the leads that you just collected and
finally i want to show you how you can
build your custom scraper template to
extract information from linkedin or any
other website to google sheets very
easily so we're going to be building our
own scraper template option b shortcut
as you're already
used to create a new playbook and find
that scrape action we can scrape data on
the active tab meaning on the currently
open tab and we're going to create a new
scraper template here we have create new
scraper template over here we're going
to pick the tab from which we're going
to be grabbing the data
single page scraper
and here visually you can click on the
elements that you want to extract so for
this example we're going to be scraping
linkedin jobs and i want to grab the
title of the job i'm going to call it
job let's get some additional
information how many applicants it
already has location
just like this description
get this data and
that's probably everything i want to get
there's some information about the
company itself so i want to pick a
different data type and grab the link of
the company that has posted the job
link to the company it's called company
link and finally we're going to grab the
url to this job so this field is not in
the body of the page it's right there so
we can pick here
page link
and it's going to grab this this link
here you have the data preview save the
template
and just like this we've created a
scraper template for jobs
finally we're going to add this
information to
google sheets
over here
let's add rows to a spreadsheet we'll
need to create a new spreadsheet let's
do ask me every time argument
it's going to be called sheets
and map the data from the previous
action to
the google sheets action save collect
jobs to sheets
save
close the builder
and from here let's minimize the window
and let's create this job we're going to
create a new
sheet we're going to call it jobs
and let's get the information
a new sheet has been created
so here is the information
we need it and just like this you can go
ahead and click on another job that you
are interested in
and
run the section again
jobs
run this playbook the information is
going to get extracted and added to this
spreadsheet
so now you're literally a click away
from using this automation it's in the
description below so go try it out and
let us know how you use boarding to
extract information to sheets without
any code the tool is free right now so
make sure to give it a try and if you
need any help join us in our slack
community i'm going to see you in the
next video cheers
