Transcripts
hello everyone and welcome back to my
channel if you're planning on visiting
Tokyo soon and deciding if you want to
go to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo Disney C
then this video is for you I know a lot
of people who are traveling to Tokyo
don't have the luxury or time or maybe
it's not in your budget to go to both
parks so in this video I'm going to
break down both parks for you we'll be
going over the attractions the food the
shopping the entertainment all of it and
to keep it fun at the end of each
category I'll let you know which one is
my personal favorite pick for that here
and if you're new here my name is Eileen
and I spent the last 14 months traveling
around the world I spent 6 weeks this
year alone in Tokyo and I've been to
every single Disney park in the world
except for Shanghai for Visa reasons and
I can easily say hands down that Tokyo
Disney Resort is my favorite in the
world and I've been to both parks a
total of seven times if you want some
basic information about visiting the
park I will leave my Tokyo Disneyland
and Tokyo Disney SE guide and Vlogs
linked up here and down below in the
description box make sure you stay until
the very end to see which park I person
personally choose as my favorite and the
one you should go to if you can only go
to One Park during your visit so let's
go over some general info ticket prices
and operating hours are the same for
both parks and will vary by day and time
of the year the ticket options that are
currently available are single day
tickets or what they call one-day
passports at the time of this video Park
hopping and multi-day tickets are not
available however they do have early
evening and weeknight options where you
can enter the park at 300 and 5:00 p.m.
at a reduced price if you are taking the
train Disneyland is walking distance
from the Jr mahima train station and to
get to Disney C you'll have to take a
short train ride on the Disney Resort
line which will require an additional
ticket okay let's go over the theming of
each of the parks and let's start with
Disney C so Disney SE is the only Disney
park that is themed to the myths and
legends of the sea and it has seven
themed ports you have Mediterranean
Harbor American Waterfront Port
Discovery Lost River delta Arabian Coast
Mermaid Lagoon and Mysterious Island
Tokyo dis also has seven themed areas
and of course it's going to be very
similar to any other Disneyland park
that if you've been to one before and
that includes World Bazaar Adventure
Land western land Critter country
Fantasy Land Toontown and tomorrow land
So based on theming alone hands down for
me it's going to be Disney C of course
it's the only one of its kind in the
world and I'm still amazed at the park
every single time I go even though I've
been over four times it's like taking a
trip around the world with stops in the
US the med terranean the araban coast
and even under the sea I mean come on
I'm from America and even I'm impressed
with the American Waterfront area okay
let's now go over attractions so
starting with Disney C Disney C has a
couple unique rides that you will only
find in that Park some of the popular
rides include 10,000 Leakes Under the
Sea Journey to the Center of the Earth
and raging Spirits other attractions
that you can find here but also in other
Disney Parks include soaring fantastic
flight Toy Story Mania Tower of Terror
and Indiana Jones Adventure so even if
you've been to some of these rides
before at other Disneyland Parks keep in
mind that they're slightly tweaked so
it's not going to be exactly the same as
what you've ridden before and one more
thing to add about the attractions is
that Tokyo Disney SE is the only Park of
the two that has single Rider options
but that only applies to two rides which
is the Indiana Jones ride and raging
Spirits some of the unique Tokyo
Disneyland only rides include Enchanted
tale of beating the Beast my personal
favorite the happy ride with Baymax and
Monsters Inc ride and go seek inside
this Park you will also see a lot more
of the familiar attractions like Haunted
Mansion Pirates of the Caribbean space
Mount and jungle cruise So based on just
the attractions alone you really can't
go wrong with either park because they
each have their own set of unique rides
but also rides that you that you can see
or maybe have been on before in other
Disneyland Parks a common question I get
is which park is better for kids and I
have to say that even if you're
traveling with kids you'll find plenty
of attractions in both parks for kids
but if you're looking for more th rides
or if you're just going with a group of
adults then Disney c will have more
thrill options so for my pick for this
category of rides it's going to be
Disneyland reason being is that it has
the enchanted tale of beauty the Beast
ride which after I wrote it for the
first time I was nearly in
tears the best ride that I've been on in
so
long I'm emotional okay now let's talk
about my personal favorite part of going
to any Disney park and that's going to
be the food in my opinion no other
Disney park in the world does food like
Tokyo Disney SE when it comes to
character food and unique food Concepts
Tokyo Disney Takes the Cake while
presentation is important the quality
and The Taste is always top-notch and if
that wasn't enough the prices are
probably some of the most reasonable
that I've seen at any Disney park before
both parks offer a variety of dining
options from sit down restaurants with
shows to Quick dining options to snap
carts regarding the types of food you
can find Japanese options like Curry
omelette Rice and Noodles along with
Western options like pastas and
sandwiches as well since I'm always
trying to maximize my time at the park
I'll be speaking to more snacks and
counter food options because I just
don't have the time to go sit at a
restaurant so my plan of action when it
comes to trying as much food as possible
is to avoid large meals and to avoid sit
down restaurants when it comes to the
kind of viral Disney food that you'll
see at the parks like the little green
man dumplings Mike's melon bread or all
of the unique flavored popcorns you can
find those at both parks so you don't
have to feel like you're missing out on
one of them if you're if you decide to
go to One Park or the other if you're
craving some typical American Disney
food you can still get that too so you
can get hot dogs churros and smoked
turkey leg so along with classic items
that they serve all year round Tokyo
Disney does a really good job at having
these rotating seasonal menus that you
should definitely try if you're visiting
either one of the parks so regarding
food my pick overall while there are a
lot of food that does overlap between
Disneyland and Disney sea I prefer the
food at Disney CA mainly because they
have my all-time favorite dish which is
creamy spaghetti from zambini Brothers
the guoa dog and a sushi roll I do want
to make an honorable mention to the bay
max Curry plate and Mickey egg Yol found
at the Center Street Cafe house and
Hungry Bit restaurant in Disneyland okay
let's talk about the parades and shows
so there are many opportunities in both
parks to enjoy the parades and shows
from my experience it's really
impossible to try to see every single
show so what I suggest is that prior to
your visit check out what time the shows
are which show you want to see and then
plan your day accordingly each Park will
have a variety of performances most
where you currently will need an entry
request or reservation to attend they
have live entertainment seasonal daytime
parades and a nighttime show followed by
fireworks before the park closes in the
evening Disneyland has the electrical
parade which is similar to the one you
may have seen before at Disneyland
California Disney sea will have believe
sea of Dreams which is held in the
Mediterranean Harbor and one of the best
nighttime shows that I've seen it
features many of our favorite Disney
characters on boats instead of floats it
combines fireworks water show music mus
and projections on the surrounding
buildings which makes it one of the best
nighttime shows I've experienced at any
Disney park and regarding fireworks each
Park will have a fireworks show uh right
before they clo 30 minutes to closing
and it's about 5 minutes long and to me
it's pretty underwhelming so when it
comes to shows and performance the
highlights are definitely the nighttime
entertainment so for this category
Disney C wins for me because the believe
sea a dream show is one of a kind okay
let's talk about some shopping what's a
Disney trip without shopping for all of
the merch when you're visiting the
Disney parks back in the US it's all
about mini ears and spirit jerseys right
well in Japan it's all about the popcorn
buckets the capsule toys anything Duffy
related and character hairbands and hats
both parks have plenty of shops for you
to find something special to take home
or gift the Japanese take gift giving
very seriously in both parks you'll find
shops selling your typical Park merch
toys apparel package treats stationer
accessories HomeGoods and glass work of
course there will will be themed shops
selling merchandise from their
corresponding land or ride the biggest
difference is that if you're a Duffy fan
you'll find more Duffy merchandise in
Disney C for my pick I'm actually not a
big fan of buying merch when I go to the
parks because I rather spend my money on
food but if you know me I always pick
out one thing to bring home to turn into
an ornament with that said I absolutely
love the world bizarre area of
Disneyland because it looks like Main
Street USA with its Victorian buildings
and has super cute display windows and
they change it seasonally as well you
can from shop to shop browsing through
all the goods so for my pick the best
shopping is in Tokyo Disneyland Okay so
we've gone through the theme we've gone
through the attractions we've gone
through the food we've gone through the
shopping so what are my final thoughts
so of course this videos to help you
decide which park is the right decision
for you if you can only visit one my
pick and my recommendation is going to
be Disney C so you won't be able to
experience Disney SE in any other part
of the world and like I mentioned before
the entertainment and the food in my
opinion tops Tokyo Disneyland and most
importantly whether you're going with
kids or you're going with a group of
adults you'll find something for
everyone at the park so I know the point
of this video is to compare both Disney
parks with each other I do want to make
a note that the level of service
provided in these Parks is equal or even
better to the service that you find at
the Disney parks back home which you
know are like topnotch and even the
guests in these parks are better behaved
as well and I can't say that about every
Park that I've been to but then again
everything that I'm explaining kind of
summarizes how Japan is for my
experience as a tourist so that wraps up
my Tokyo Disneyland versus Tokyo Disney
SE video I hope you guys found this
helpful if you have any comments or
questions about visiting either Parks
please leave it down in the comments
below or if you have anything else to
add for anybody who is in this
predicament of figure of trying to
decide which park to go to please leave
it down and as always thank you so much
for watching and I will see you guys in
the next video
bye
