in just a couple weeks Apple's going to

be releasing a new iPad Pro and a new

iPad Air so in this video I want to go

over the latest leaks and rumors that

we've been hearing about these products

because over the past few days there has

been so much new information revealed

and honestly a lot of it it's got me

more excited about these products and

they're both looking to be a bit more

significant than I think we initially

expected so let's start off first with

the iPad Pro which we've known for a

while is going to have a redesign the

first of its kind since the last

redesign 6 years ago in 2018 I mean this

has to be one of the longest runs for an

iPad design maybe ever at this point and

while it's okay it's definitely time for

some fresh design language something

maybe similar to the iPhone 15 with

rounded edges recently though we've

heard that Apple could be making this

out of an entirely new material and drop

aluminum on here in place of a full

glass design which is crazy and what

makes me believe this is actually

possible is it's not the first time that

we've ever heard this could be happening

we actually heard back in 2019 that for

the 2020 iPad Pro Apple was planning a

glass redesign but it never materialized

at the time but now it could sort of

make sense considering a new rumor from

Mac rumors that says Apple could be

putting mag safe built into this iPad

Pro the thing about mag safe though is

that for wireless charging to work you

have to have it glass back energy just

cannot pass through aluminum like it can

glass so this rumor suggests that Apple

may have revitalized that design and

gone for a basically an entire slab of

glass for this new iPad Pro which

admittedly would look pretty insane at

the same time that's just the iPhone

version of magsafe what if Apple

actually adds a secondary port on the

iPad for the first time ever where we'

have a magsafe magnetic connector just

like on the MacBook Pro either way

expect some huge design and charging

changes and I can't wait to see what

this looks like moving on from that we

just got some great news for the iPad

Pros front camera Apple after so many

years of holding out is finally

relocating it from portrait orientation

to landscape just like on the newest

iPad 10 and this comes according to

Apple themselves via some leaked code in

the iOS 17.4 beta where Apple references

setting up this iPad with a new camera

orientation that is not currently

supported and while that sounds like

some pretty good news I do want to segue

into some of the pricing info we've

gotten lately which is absolutely

ridiculous we've known for a while that

these new iPad Pros are not only getting

larger 11.1 and 13in displays but also

going OLED for the first time which is

going to be the biggest screen upgrade

we've really ever seen on an Apple

product with insane black levels

incredible contrast and color levels

that you can only get from a panel this

good and while that sounds sick uh it

also is a lot more expensive for Apple

to manufacture and we've been hearing

from Korean Source the El who does have

a good track record that Apple could be

planning some pretty big price increases

and a separate Source has given us

specific numbers now this person has a

mixed track record but they say the 11.1

in model will now start at

$1,499 and the new 13-in model will

start at

$17.99 on the surface those prices sound

ridiculous but we have seen other

reports in the past talking about how

Apple's OLED iPad panels have unrivaled

image quality it's an entirely new

process that has not really been done

before so maybe these crazy prices like

almost double what they are now maybe

they're not so unrealistic but I I

really hope that they are and feeding

into this narrative even more there's a

pretty old rumor that I missed about

this new iPad Pro from about a year ago

that says it's going to have 4 tabt of

internal storage an option that Apple

has never offered on the iPad is it

currently caps out at about 2 tbytes

which is an insane amount of storage on

an iPad but if the iPad was to actually

replace my computer I would need the

highest storage option more than the 2

terab that they currently offer but that

idea of 4 terab on an iPad is still

insane to me now as for the release date

of these new iPad Pros it sounds like it

will be sometime in early to mid April

that is when the panels are ordered to

be shipping that is when Apple will

likely be doing the final mass

production run and this also matches up

with Mark Gman saying that Apple will be

holding an event sometime this spring

the thing is well the hardware for this

next iPad Pro sounds great I can't wait

to try that we're still hearing that it

will likely be running iPad OS which is

just a souped up version of iOS that

seems confused about what it wants to be

and lately I've been noticing myself get

more and more distracted when I'm trying

to take notes or get work done on my

iPad and that's why I'm so excited to

show you this this is the remarkable to

not nearly as premium is the iPad Pro

but it's going to be big but flipping

this around and taking a look at the

back of the device we can see something

way more interesting to me and that is a

redesigned camera system in the corner

which nobody has really rumored or even

talked about up until this point now I

know getting excited about a camera

upgrade on an iPad is a bit silly listen

I I'm with you there pal but at this

point I feel like the design language of

the iPad Air is so still that I'm

excited to see any changes whatsoever

and maybe Apple does do a significant

camera upgrade for things like a M

mented reality is that is something they

are always hyping the iPad up for as an

applicable use case the thing with CAD

files though is they are just the

roughest design possible they don't

really bring the product to life but I

did see some really Dope runers From zel

Zoid designs who mocked up what this

could look like in full color and it

does look pretty hot it looks like the

new camera bump will be sticking out

just a bit but I have a feeling that

apple is doing that for a reason likely

for a new sensor upgrade or lens design

we also have a better look at the screen

matched with the bezels as well as a

compos position of both the front and

the back together it is obviously

Apple's mid-tier iPad but there's at

least more happening with the design

than we initially thought which I

appreciate aside from these minor design

changes though Apple's not going to be

tweaking a ton other than a new M2

processor on the inside that is just a

quick little spec bomb but something

that I miss that is nice will have

faster Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and

Bluetooth 5.3 even though it's named

really weird like it doesn't matter it's

actually kind of a big deal it's a

faster more stable version of Bluetooth

it Alo has better range it's just much

better so that will be a very nice in

the background update where like if

you're buying this it's a bonus but

nobody's actually buying it for

Bluetooth 5.3 at least I hope not and

again rounding out the iPad Air similar

evidence to the iPad Pros the displays

are already in production this comes
