Transcripts
right i am yes how are you today i'm
very well i was here yeah i received
your email
and i'm quite interested in trying to do
some mentoring for some people sometimes
not all the time
uh tell me a little bit of what is so
i'm
i'm new i've literally just finished my
course because i'm very new to coaching
um i'm just i guess a little bit nervous
which doesn't help i know i need to be
more confident but i'm just
not quite sure how good i am at
communicating because i've
literally taught a couple of lessons so
far and so i just need to
so first what do you think why do you
think you are not
and i'm not sure if it must be the
communication i'm not sure if it's
you know what it is if i'm not generally
but you are asking
[Music]
okay so do you think that you're not
understanding because you're giving
restriction
or communication or something but they
are doing another thing
or they and they can't do that right
yeah
okay this is the way that you are
detecting that slowly you are not
communicating
yeah okay we can have two different
things here right
one maybe you are communicating properly
but they can't do that so maybe you have
to find another way
right yeah where we have a regression
maybe you know about the regressions
right
yes so take it back a step yes
or maybe not so okay or actually you can
have a communication
issue that is another possibility you
have to analyze these
two things yeah you are communicating
good but maybe you need a regression but
you are coming here
in not the best way so you have to
try to um find a way to do that
in some ways for example you told me
that your clients are the kids
okay this is definitely different with
others
so how when you're teaching others how
is that the way that
we're gonna do um forehand little
backhand or whatever it is
and then i will give them a
demonstration
um
yeah so if you are explaining too much
they will get bored if you are
demonstrating one time
they will maybe pick up some of them
yeah and maybe the other no because they
don't have the
movement yes the skilled movement
so you have to again analyze what's
when you are talking with kids you have
to try to
go more close to them yeah in terms
of communicate or maybe
the tone of the boys maybe can change or
try to be
a little bit more closer you know when
they answer the family
with the kid in a different way maybe if
you're using this type of thing
okay you can get the attention okay in
an easy way
the other thing is demonstrations maybe
one
or maybe you can give only one
demonstration and after that this is one
of the keys and try to make the
demonstration
with them oh cool yeah so you are using
one of the keys the kids will be
more interested in what they make us
doing
try to find a different way to
communicate
i know you are new but you have to try
to find different ways
to communicate to who which is your
client
if it's subtle this is one way if it's a
skit is another way
yeah you have to try to find that i
think if you are going to youtube
you can find some ways if you are going
to youtube and you put
tennis for beginners you will find
beginner kids
try to see how the coach
is managing the communication
with his
is helpful as well because it's yeah it
is
very different kids and adults and so
that was
a good point about you know getting low
chatting to them being a bit more
engaging a bit more right
yeah yeah i think i'll probably make it
a little bit simpler
so i think maybe i'm asking a bit too
much of them and that's where the
communication is falling down
and yeah i can i'll definitely put that
into effect
next next week i'm coaching the same
group so
after that okay bring can you do some
establish some homework for the next
week
okay can you um
you don't have to spend too much time
but try to spend
a little bit yeah to find what you can
use for you
and the other thing i would like to
write today
after i will write everything
what you learn about and what you can
improve
so then next we work on
just we are coming back but we have
something something that we work and we
have
something in the paper so it's easy yeah
yeah
any other issue in communication um no i
think that's
it for now but that's
[Music]
see you on sonic
