Q & A
What is the purpose of using 'safe grid' in the video tutorial?
-The 'safe grid' is used to help align the text properly within the video frame, ensuring that the text does not get cut off or misplaced during video editing.
How does the text tool allow for customization of the lyrics display?
-The text tool allows users to type the lyrics directly onto the screen, adjust the font size, and move the anchor point to control where the text initiates from on the screen.
What is the significance of setting the anchor point to the center of the text?
-Setting the anchor point to the center ensures that the text moves from that central point, allowing for more precise control over the text's motion and positioning within the video.
Why is it important to create keyframes for the scale of the text?
-Creating keyframes for the scale of the text allows for the text to grow or shrink over time, adding a dynamic visual effect to the lyrics as they appear in the video.
How does the 'easy ease' function affect the text animation?
-The 'easy ease' function smooths out the transitions between keyframes, providing a more natural and less abrupt change in the text's movement.
What role does the 'wave warp' effect play in the video?

How does the use of the pen tool contribute to the video's aesthetic?
-The pen tool is used to create custom shapes, such as a heart, which can be animated and styled to add a personal and creative touch to the video.
What is the purpose of adding a stroke to the heart shape layer?
-Adding a stroke to the heart shape layer allows for the outline of the heart to be visible while removing the fill color, creating a more stylized and graphic look.
How does the 'turbulent displace' effect enhance the text's appearance?
-The 'turbulent displace' effect distorts the text, giving it a more dynamic and energetic look that can complement the rhythm and tone of the music.
What is the final step described in the script for adding visual effects to the video?
-The final step described is adding the 'cc jaws' effect to a solid layer named 'bars', which creates a dynamic visual element that can be used to enhance the overall aesthetic of the video.
Outlines
🎵 Lyric Video Creation Basics
The paragraph introduces the process of creating a lyric video. It starts with setting up the text alignment using the safe grid and text tool, then proceeds to type the lyrics. The font size is adjusted, and the anchor point is set to the center to control text initiation. A fade-out effect is applied, and keyframes are created for scaling the text. The text is then trimmed to match the vocalist's timing, and the process is repeated for each word, emphasizing the importance of precise timing and not rushing the creation.
🎥 Advanced Text Animation Techniques
This section delves into more advanced text animation, including duplicating and modifying text layers for unique movements. An adjustment layer named 'transition wave' is introduced, with the application of the wave warp effect to create a dynamic visual. Keyframes are manipulated to control the wave's height, and the graph editor is used to fine-tune the animation. The paragraph also covers changing wave types for varied effects and the use of the pen tool to create a heart shape, which is then animated and stylized with stroke and scale adjustments.
🌌 Adding Visual Effects for Depth
The focus shifts to adding visual effects for depth and engagement. Turbulent displace and full effect are applied to text layers to create a distorted, animated look. The outline of the text is emphasized by turning off fill and enabling stroke. The paragraph also covers the use of the glow effect to enhance readability and the creation of a flickering effect for the outline text by manipulating opacity. Particle effects are introduced to add a subtle, wind-like movement, and the process of customizing particle types and colors for variation is explained.
🌠 Final Touches and Conclusion
The final paragraph wraps up the tutorial by discussing the addition of reflection and light effects to enhance the visual appeal. CC light rays and transform effects are used to add a dynamic and glowing appearance to the text. The tutorial concludes with a demonstration of how to create a flickering effect for particles and a reflection effect for text, using opacity maps and transform properties. The creator encourages viewers to subscribe and provide feedback, promising more tutorial content in the future.

Transcripts
hi guys i'm back and this is what we will make today
all i need is ten more minutes ten more minutes with you
let me give you the one last shot will i ever get through
oh am i wasting my time should i leave for the night it's unclear at the moment
so i have this song on my timeline
first i will turn on safe grid it helps in aligning the text
then select the text tool and click on screen to type the lyrics
increase the font size if you need
select this tool it allows you to move the anchor point set the text's anchor
point to its center the text will initiate from where you have put the anchor point
drag and drop fade out effect to the text
set both values to six percent
now create a keyframe for scale
create another keyframe first keyframe with zero value and other with big value
now trim the sides to match it with a vocalist
select both keyframes right click and easy ease them
go to graph editor here make sure you are working in speed graph mode make a curve like this
now trim the other side as well press ctrl plus d to duplicate
the layer overwrite the duplicate with new word and move it to the side
make another
duplicate type new word on this duplicate as well
do the same thing one more time
align them in the center now play the song and put them where vocalist says each word
i think it's good guys remember to play it a hundred times don't try
to rush anything i have seen professional lyric videos with very bad timing of words
so please don't rush while creating now duplicate one of the words again
move it forward and overwrite it you can modify it for example increase the size
duplicate again and type new word
you can use the anchor point tool to move anchor point it gives a unique movement to the text
take your time and modify the text
oh
they both will come in and go out like this
duplicate one more layer and type the other text
now make an adjustment layer rename it as transition wave
put wave warp effect to it
adjust the settings like i'm doing
then create a keyframe for wave height open the drop down of the layer
until you see wave warp settings
set first keyframe value to zero percent
second keyframe to positive or negative forty to seventy percent
then third keyframe to zero percent again
select all keyframes and set the graph editor
it gives us this cool effect
it looks complex but actually is pretty easy
best part about this is that you can change the wave type to get different results
i will duplicate more text layers to type lyrics
in the same way we can trim the wave effect layer
duplicate it and put it to wherever we want it gives a lot of movement
to the text which is very good for the text to not being stiff and idle all the time
we can duplicate wave effect layers and change the waveforms for different results
all right now that you've got the idea with this i will fast forward the typing process
until we do next effects
oh
okay now i will select the pen tool and struggle to create a heart shape
usually i can make heart shape pretty easily with pen tool
but now that i'm recording the tutorial i'm destined to screw things
give your heart a nice color
trim the layer to keep everything clean
add scale keyframes so that it zooms into the screen do graph editor adjustment
i think red color looks kind of childish we don't want that
add a stroke to the heart layer turn off fill color so there's only the outline
left make duplicates of heart shape and randomize their movements
let's add position keyframes as well so they will go out of the screen
make a duplicate of wave effect layer and put it above heart shapes
play with different wave shapes until you get what you want
all right now select all the text layers right click and pre-compose them
check these options
under your project panel you'll see text main select it and press control plus d to duplicate it
hit enter to rename the duplicators outline double click it to navigate to the composition
here select all the text layers turn off their fill and turn on stroke for all of them
now head back to the main composition drag and drop outline composition on your timeline
align it with the main text layer and put it below
drag and drop turbulent displace effect to the outline layer
it looks like this
open the drop down and add keyframes for evolution
looks good while i blame the world's necklace
double-click text main layer to navigate to the text composition here you have to
add colors in a few random words so there's not complete white color all over the place
head back to the main composition let's change the color of heart as well
add full effect to the outline layer
choose any matching color
open opacity of the outline layer hold alt button and click the little watch button
in the typing field that appears write this code to give flickering effect to the outline text
you can make duplicate of it and change the color
right click and make new adjustment layer
name it as glow now put glow effect to it
put glow effect one more time
after tweaking glow effect it looks like this
let's lower the opacity of outline text so the main text is readable
all right now we will make particles add a new solid layer
make it a bright color so we can see what we are doing
put cc particle world effect to it now watch closely and follow my settings
while i blame the world's necklace
you can choose animation type we want a subtle wind particles effect or something close to it
oh
let's make them flicker like fireflies or close to fireflies for flickering effect
i will go to opacity map in this drawing section i will make some waves like these
just draw using your mouse
now we have a little flickering effect following the waves pattern
that we just made add fill effect to it to add matching color
you can duplicate the particles effect
and change the particles type and their color for variation
while i blame the world's
right necklace again
put transform effect to the glow layer
open the layer drop down menu until you see transform effects properties
alt-click the position and add the wiggle code
do the same for rotation
all right now make a new adjustment layer and name it as reflection put cc light rays effect to it
copy my settings very nice simple but cool
add wiggle code to transform effects scale it gives a little more movement to the text
lastly make a new solid and name it as bars
put cc jaws effect to it
set height to 0 and completion to 75
there you have your fancy lyrics ready i have shown you the method you can do this
to entire lyrics if you enjoyed and learned something worthy subscribe to my channel and
let me know what you think of these tutorials so i come up with more plans for next videos
i will be back and see you next time till then goodbye all i need is ten more minutes
all i need is ten more minutes ten more minutes with you
let me give you the one last shot will i ever get
can you give me a sign i'm here
