Transcripts
hey everyone I'm John Fry and I'm
talking to you on this insane irx 11 mm
T 4.3 lens it's only T 4.3 but it's 11
mm which means everything's going to be
in Focus anyway we bought this as a wide
lens for our AR uh Alexa mini and a
miror cameras uh but it's actually a
fullframe lens so imagine how wide it's
going to look on a fullframe camera like
our fx6 or A7 series cameras mindblowing
so this is really cool I'm literally
about 2et from the lens here and you can
see how you how exciting that wide looks
when my hands go like that but imagine
all the situations where that could be
useful particularly I'm thinking on
gimbal or steady cam running down
corridors really sucking that
perspective uh away from you either side
of the extremes of the lens or in those
lovely situations where you're in a
really cramped area a tiny set or not a
set you know maybe we're doing a
documentary and you need a beautiful
wide shot of a small room or even a big
room to make it look even more exciting
this could be the lens for us so uh here
we go this is our first test of it I
don't know if any of you have already
got this lens or tried it out be
interested to hear your thoughts and
opinions on it but here we are this is
Alexa mini on the irx 11 mm lens so how
cool is that
