Transcripts
you've clicked on this video for one of
two reasons number one you're someone
that's trying to improve their presence
on social media number two you think I'm
[ __ ] lying and you think I'm
bullshitting so you've come on here to
see if it's true or not now my goal here
is not to show off okay I'm not here to
show you know how how how many followers
I got that's not the main idea but I
will show you the exact statistics just
so you know that it's true
okay I don't if you can see that right
total number of followers in the last 30
days
49,000 so obviously with that comes you
know unfollows you can't you're not
going to retain 100% of those but this
is probably the most amount of growth
I've noticed since I first blew up and I
first blew up it was like luck you know
real went viral when it went super viral
everyone's following me and largely a
lot of that is because you know I've
been at University I've been doing
things and I couldn't really apply
myself to social media now this summer
completely changed that I said okay I'm
going to sit down and to do what it
takes to try to grow and see what I can
do with this and I ran away with it
right I experimented and first of all
what I'm going to say is it's not it's
not amazing okay I'm not sitting in BOGO
in a cafe having time of my life
chilling with supermodels like no I'm in
Georgia I'm still doing summer courses
what I am doing is I'm waking up at 4:30
every day and the first thing I do when
I wake up is I just grab the laptop from
under my bed and I sit in my bed and I
[ __ ] you not if you told somebody that
you spent
the first 7 hours of your day in bed
they'd probably think you're a [ __ ]
loser but that's exactly what I did I
literally woke up and spent the first 6
seven hours in my
bed why well I came across this concept
and you know we've all experienced
morning routines and we've all done you
know the meditation if you're clicking
on this video you're probably very
familiar with that kind of space that's
going around right now but what I
actually experimented with was
just being B with my priority okay
what's my priority is my priority to
feel happy no is my priority to be
jacked no is my priority to have the
best nutrition not really my priority
number one is to be healthy but my real
priority like I said was to see what I
can do with the social media this this
summer how much can I grow my my my
social media presence and how much can I
grow my online business the growth isn't
amazing like I know many other social
media people have had much better
results on social media and I know
people in my own specific Niche or in my
industry that may even look at this
video and be like bro that's not that
crazy but to the average
guy 50,000 followers in 30 days is
[ __ ] unheard of so I'm going to tell
you what I did so like I said wake up in
literally 7 hours of work and what does
that work look like you know when people
say oh I'm working and you're social
media what does that mean okay number
one that means scripting number two that
means looking for inspiration number
three that means editing number four
that means filming okay I don't have any
editors I don't have any filmers I don't
have anyone working for me that helps me
on that end so when I wake up the first
thing I'm doing is I'm scripting and I'm
content planning I've literally got a
spreadsheet I'll show you this was my my
my my posting schedule started on May 20
and it goes all the way to August 12
this is basically the schedule for the
bare minute like I have to post these
okay now Plus on top of that for every
platform I have
45 videos to do
okay specific to what I want to do
specific to what I think and in an
intelligent order now if you look at my
social media it's all over the place you
know I'm doing a [ __ ] cooking video
I'm doing a baring video I'm doing a
fitness
video I'm just showing myself okay
that's one thing I really think is
important if you want to grow on social
media you can do it the way that
everyone else is doing and that's create
[ __ ] viral content and doing [ __ ]
you know all that you you can do Tik Tok
daners but at the end of the day you're
going to grow yeah you're going to get
the numbers but what does that really
mean are those numbers going to
translate into anything meaningful are
those numbers going to help you build a
business no they're not okay so what
I've done in my focus in my approach to
the social media is literally just be
who I am on on camera I posted a cooking
video and I've got a lot of slang that I
use from the multiple places I've lived
and the multiple friends I have got a
lot of different slang I use the slang
in a particular video that me and my
boys use back
home that video went crazy because
everyone in the comments I I you there's
more than a thousand comments people
just absolutely tearing me apart for
using that slang word because it's in a
different language so what I'm
emphasizing here is is to be
yourself is literally just be
yourself there's that was like stick
into the niche like stay in one Niche
and go all in yeah you can go all in or
you can just show who you are and if
your character is interesting enough
people going to [ __ ] with you and
they're going to like that you you've
got different aspects that you're not
just a onedimensional [ __ ] AI
simulation so I think that's number one
because that creates number two binge
worthy content it's one thing when
you're scrolling on a on a Instagram
profile and you keep seeing the same
video over and over and over after maybe
3 four videos unless it's a 10 out of 10
chick and people going to binge that but
I think a lot of my content people can
binge it because it's it's so different
you know it's stimulating because one
thing you're watching this and one thing
you're watching that now that's
different to YouTube on YouTube I do
think that you need to be in a
niche but for this n obviously I still
got my other responsibilities like
University right so I know that
university has a deadline okay I've got
to submit the assignments I've got to
study for the exam on the 30th I've got
to do this that so I'm saving that for
later part in the day because there's
one thing when you're doing something on
your own and there's something when
there's stress involved when there's
stress involved that's [ __ ] easy
Bro you've got a job right it starts at
9:00 a.m. you're going to be there at
9:00 a.m. aren't you right cuz that's
stress stress
induced it's different when it's on your
own you've got to in you've got to
induce that stress if you can't induce
that
stress you've got to be able to have a
system in place the system that I've
used is just wake up and get the [ __ ]
work done so once you've understand the
protocol behind what you're
posting wake up script film edit and
post
okay in the past I used to post like
once a week twice a week but really
during the summer I've been posting up
more three four five six times a week
you know what I mean and I'm less
focused like before when I posted
Instagram photos I was focused on
getting the perfect Instagram photo for
the most my likes I sh you
know I think my most liked photo on
Instagram is literally a selfie I took
on [ __ ] Snapchat while I was in a car
yeah this one I took that photo of
Snapchat and it got 16,000 likes if I go
over to a photo of me shirtless taking
using a professional camera in the
[ __ ] Dominican
Republic half as many likes the key here
is I don't think it's [ __ ] rocket
science just post bro okay just post
be
yourself be consistent and work [ __ ]
hard and just post it what's the worst
that's going to
happen it's not going to perform
well who gives a [ __ ] nobody gives a
[ __ ] really except you and lot another
thing that really helped me is really
delaying how far into the day I ate this
allowed me to work harder and longer and
actually Andrew hubman talks about this
a lot being in a f the state does
improve
productivity right and a lot of people
may disagree with me on this but like I
don't give a [ __ ] this is what I've done
I delayed my meal I just worked out get
everything I needed to get done and then
when I finished all that for me to go to
the gym and hang out with the boys it
felt like such a breath of of fresh air
like I was able to like I felt like I
was in control of my life and honestly
I've I've been loving it I know a lot of
content creators that they kind of they
almost hate what they do I mean
obviously they'd rather do that than a
normal job but they don't really like it
as much as I think I like it is because
they do all the [ __ ] normal in the day
and then at the end of the day then
they're [ __ ] stressing cuz they need
a
post or they don't really have a plan or
a protocol behind what they're doing
after I've worked for 7 hours then I go
do some form of exercise right because
sitting in your bed for 7 hours
productive or not is not [ __ ] good
for you so yesterday I've gone out for
my run in the forest and this is why I'm
telling you your environment matters so
so much if you're trying to be a [ __ ]
person on social media and you're living
in I don't know for the sake of the
argument Antarctica like that's not
going to work out for you for me I love
where I am right now because when I go
out I enjoy it I I love running outside
I love
exercising um most of my time in the
year I'm in La which is a Social Hub
that just helps if you're trying to be
an online entrepreneur you got to think
La New York Miami London you got to
think barley you got to think th
Thailand you got to think Dubai you know
what I mean if you're trying to be a
[ __ ] pirate you're not going to go be
a
pirate on the North Pole no you're going
to be a pirate in the Caribbean you know
it makes sense make it make sense you've
got this character where's your
character going to be What's the
storyline that's obviously big that's
like moving cities and stuff like that
but I purposely moved to Los Angeles
because I knew that I wanted to pursue
something on the online space this was
long before I blew up I was living in
Kansas and I decided no matter what
happens I need to end up in South
California or Florida and so now most of
my followers are from Los Angeles after
the morning run is when I get home and
have my first meal you know nothing too
big something like salmon
potato and then a little bit of extra
work maybe some planning today I just
usually I live this period to the less
important more errand kind of stuff go
ahead I had to fill out some documents
plan some things for my Euro trip coming
soon and then after that went to the
[ __ ] gym worked out amazing
workout back
home big meal I'm eating like basically
one and a half meals a day because like
I said if you're someone that's
optimizing for
something like if you really want to do
well in something you've got to optimize
for it if you
are trying to be a if you're trying to
be an academic person eating six meals a
day is not going to work for you just
because you want to get big and shredded
and jacked it's not going to work for
you why
because when you're eating six meals a
day that many calories in [ __ ] carbs
your brain's going to [ __ ] slow down
you're not going to be able to
concentrate as much as possible Right
vice versa if you're trying to be a
bodybuilder and you're reading 10 books
a day like okay like good for you mate
you're getting smarter but get your ass
in the gym and eat some [ __ ] food
okay you know what I mean it's like that
so for me my goal was to just be as
productive as
possible that means I had to sacrifice
in the gains a little bit that means I
have to sacrifice on the social
interactions I had to sacrifice on a bit
of sleep a lot of people may disagree
with me on this you know they may have 2
million followers on Instagram and they
live their life perfect but what I'm
saying is for the average Joe someone
like me okay if you really want to grow
put all your eggs in one basket and get
another [ __ ] basket and keep working
and keep working okay my main takeaway
is Lally be yourself and work [ __ ]
hard be relentless but be smart right
with your priorities
