Q & A
What is the first thing to look for when choosing a hair transplant clinic?
-The first thing to look for is whether the doctor is board certified, preferably by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgeons, which is recognized globally.
Why is the doctor's experience important in hair transplant procedures?
-The doctor's experience is crucial because it ensures they have at least five years of practice, allowing patients to see the results of their work and assess their competence.
How can patients verify the authenticity of before and after photos presented by a clinic?
-Patients can verify authenticity by checking if the clinic has a variety of before and after photos on their website and by watching videos of the doctor's work, such as comb throughs, which provide a three-dimensional view of the results.
What role does YouTube play in evaluating a hair transplant doctor's work?
-YouTube serves as a tool to see the doctor interacting with patients, discussing their procedures, and showcasing actual results through comb throughs and testimonials.
Why are comb throughs important when evaluating hair transplant results?
-Comb throughs are important because they provide a three-dimensional view of the transplanted hair, allowing patients to assess the spacing and density of the hair follicles.
What is the significance of customer service in the context of a hair transplant procedure?
-Customer service is significant as it helps to alleviate patient anxiety and nerves, ensuring a more comfortable experience and potentially leading to better surgical outcomes.
How can a doctor's full-time commitment to hair transplants benefit a patient?
-A doctor who is fully committed to hair transplants is more likely to be up-to-date with the latest techniques and dedicated to providing the best results, as opposed to a part-time practitioner who may not specialize in this area.
What is the term used in the script to describe doctors who perform various types of surgeries part-time?
-The term used in the script is 'Kmart hair doctors,' referring to those who perform different surgeries on different days of the week without specializing in one area.
Why is it risky to choose a plastic surgeon who is not specialized in hair transplants?
-Choosing a plastic surgeon who is not specialized in hair transplants can be risky because they may lack the specific skills and experience required for this procedure, even if they are proficient in other types of plastic surgery.
What additional steps should a patient take to ensure they choose the right hair transplant clinic?
-Patients should research the doctor's full-time staff, check online reviews, ask for patient referrals, and consider the location and their comfort level with the clinic.

hair transplant clinics who can you
trust I'm David dimuzio and I'm Steve
Cook and today we are going to give you
a guide of how you can find a hair
transplant clinic that you truly can
trust Steve has been educating patients
for years on this so what should we
first look out for Steve hair
transplant's been around for a long time
now and doctors have had a bunch of
years to what I call get certified
getting certified by in my world it's
the American Board of hair restoration
surgeons and that goes globally you want
to look for a doctor that's board
certified that's number one sorry for
the newbies but we've got to have at
least five years experience under our
belt because we need to see some results
it's really important that you're able
to take a look at the doctor that you're
choosing for your hair transplant and
see his results so you want to see the
results that he did not accompany that
kind of generically puts out a brochure
that has 30 doctors in it and he's
displaying that brochure in his Clinic
yeah unfortunately this happens a lot
and you'll run run into this I just ran
into this recently with a hair
transplant surgeon in Canada who opened
up a brand new clinic and was using tons
of before and after photos of other
people's work on his actual website to
advertise the work that he was going to
do how can we really know where these
came from well I think that the YouTube
is a good tool to also then see that
doctor talk to his patients shake their
hands do a comb through you want to see
comb throughs comb throughs are
important because it's three-dimensional
I tell patients that you need to look at
that video and you could sit there with
your family your wife your husband
whoever is your is your partner hit that
pause button and be able to see the
spacing of the hair so that you can't
make up so it's a combination let's
let's throw it out there board certified
a hundred before and after photos on the
website of all different types and
videos as well and then the videos and
the videos will kind of be like the
icing on the cake you could say what you
want to say about reviews but reviews
are important because this is all about
custom summer service people out there
are going to argue come on Steve
customer service what's customer service
going to do for my result well it's
going to be a lot because it helps calm
your nerves the anxiety what you're
going through we all know what you're
going through you're nervous and you
want to have the doctor do his best work
we're here to help you kind of determine
based on these standards and then what
you want to do is you want to research
that doctor does he have a full-time
staff does he do this full-time is he a
specialist very very important what you
do not want is a part-time hair doctor
friends of mine call them Kmart hair
doctors where they do this a little bit
they do boobies on Monday they do noses
on Tuesday and they do hair on Wednesday
and that's not what we want to sign up
for that kind of brings me to another
thing which if you can at all find it I
would say someone that you know in some
kind of way that's had their hair done
by that surgeon and that you can then go
to that same surgeon who you know by
name and have those same types of
discussions with them because I also ran
into this where a girl had gotten her
nose done by this surgeon and so she was
like oh man this surgeon is fantastic
and then she went to go get a hair
transplant done by that same surgeon and
it was a total disaster that's a
nightmare plastic surgeons are really
good at what they do they're board
certified under plastic surgery they do
fantastic nose jobs but they don't know
anything about hair transplants and the
Machine Company that sold them the
machine said don't worry about it we'll
just send in a technician to do the work
they're a doctor they need to take
responsibility for what they do but
they're a plastic surgeon and they're
like well making a couple thousand every
month extra pay for my Mercedes kind of
works for me but it's not that easy and
that's why you watch our videos so those
are the easy ones to avoid the ones you
got to be careful of are the ones that
just aren't good at this this is not
that easy so that's where it comes time
to sit down with those photos with the
videos look at the reviews ask for
patient referrals and on and on and on
and then it's really just a matter of
location and who you feel most
comfortable with
