Q & A
What inspired you to predict the creation of a Mr. Beast theme park?
-I was watching a video about a roller coaster in Abu Dhabi, and I immediately thought, 'This is something Mr. Beast would want.' I wrote it down in my notes app and dubbed it 'Mr. Beast Land,' a prediction that later became real.
How was the recording process for the debut album 'One Simple Trick'?
-It was a long and collaborative process, spent in the studio in Bristol over many weeks. My bandmate Joe and I stayed in an Airbnb, while the rest of the band stayed in a hotel. We cut a lot of songs, as we have a tendency to leave some tracks off the final album, but we're planning a surprise for next year.
Why did you visit the middle of the Netherlands and what happened there?
-I had plans to create a video about the geographical middle of countries, which I found fascinating. While in the Netherlands, I ended up at an arbitrary rock marking the center, and had a bit of a mishap when I cracked my phone. The place itself was underwhelming, but I did have a good time in Amsterdam.
What was your experience like on tour in the Czech Republic and Milwaukee?
-It was fantastic, especially with the added bonus of experiencing local cheese in Milwaukee. During this time, I also got inspiration for a video about Milwaukee's flag, which I released later in December. It was a busy but memorable tour.
What was your most memorable moment from your trip to northern Norway?
-The most memorable part was hiking along the Arctic coast and seeing reindeer. I even got recognized by a dog sledding instructor named Reuben, but I regret not accepting his invitation to meet his team. If I'm ever back in Alta, I plan to reconnect with him.
How did your trip to Calvert Island in Canada go?
-It turned out to be one of my favorite video projects ever. What I thought would be a quick trip to visit a point on Google Earth turned into an adventure where I hiked through a rainforest, took a helicopter ride, and filmed footage that you can see in the video. It was an unforgettable experience.
What was your North American tour experience like in October and November?
-The North American tour was incredible, and it was definitely one of my top tours. We also did meet-and-greets for the first time, which was really emotional for me. I still have all the gifts people gave me, and I plan to display them in the background of future videos.
Why are you considering returning to streaming?
-After talking to fans and the lighting designer during the tour, I realized how much people appreciated my streaming, and it's something I miss. Initially, I was unsure due to time constraints and my issues with Twitch, but now I'm considering streaming on YouTube, and it's a strong maybe for the future.
What are your plans for solo music in 2026?
-I have written a lot of solo songs, but they haven't been released yet. I'm considering doing a solo EP or possibly an album. While it's not certain, I can definitely see myself recording more solo music next year.
Will you ever visit the most southern point on Earth?
-No, I don't plan on going to the most southern point because, frankly, there's not much to see—just a chair! While it would make for a humorous video, it’s not on my priority list. I might do a YouTube short if I happen to be in the area, but that's about it.
