🏠 The Welcome to Jannah and Its Perfection

This paragraph opens by discussing the emotional response of the companions when in the presence of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, expressing how their hearts soften and how they feel connected to the Hereafter, only for that feeling to diminish upon returning to worldly life. The Prophet ﷺ reminds them that perfection isn't expected in this life, but rather in Jannah, where angels would greet them, as they do in Paradise. The Prophet ﷺ then describes the physical structure of Jannah, where its buildings are made from bricks of gold and silver, the plaster is musk, gravel is pearl and ruby, and the soil is saffron. Jannah is a place where joy is eternal, youth never fades, and inhabitants live in luxury and bliss, with no need for tasks like cleaning or cooking.

05:01

✨ The Beauty and Diversity of Jannah’s Homes

This paragraph continues the description of Jannah, where the homes are not only grand but diverse. The mansions of Jannah are described as being of various materials like gold, silver, pearl, and crystal. Even the lowest-ranking person in Jannah will have a home made of a single pearl with multiple rooms. The highest residences in Jannah are called 'ghuraf,' which sparkle like stars and are reserved for those with lofty deeds. These luxurious dwellings come with flowing rivers, offering serenity and beauty beyond imagination.

10:01

🌟 High Dwellings for the Patient and God-Conscious

This paragraph highlights the types of people who earn these high dwellings in Jannah. God-consciousness (taqwa) and righteous deeds are key to earning these lofty abodes. Those who are patient, especially in the face of difficulty, such as the Servants of the Most Merciful (Ibadur Rahman), are rewarded with 'ghuraf' for their perseverance. The Prophet ﷺ also mentions that those who leave off arguments, avoid foolishness, and practice good character will be given special rooms that are transparent but private, signifying their elevated spiritual status in Jannah.

🕊️ The Peaceful Return to Allah

The final paragraph transitions into the peaceful return of the soul to Allah, referring to the well-known verse in the Qur'an: 'O soul at peace, return to your Lord, well-pleased and well-pleasing. Enter among My servants, and enter My Paradise.' It is a calming and beautiful conclusion, promising eternal bliss for those who have earned their place in Jannah through their patience, good deeds, and faith.

💡Jannah

Jannah is the Islamic concept of paradise, described as a place of eternal bliss and happiness where the faithful will dwell after the Day of Judgment. In the video, Jannah is depicted as a beautiful and perfect home, free from worldly troubles, filled with blessings like mansions of gold and silver, flowing rivers, and eternal youth. The concept is central to the theme of reward for the righteous who maintain good character and deeds.

💡Angels

Angels are spiritual beings in Islam who serve as messengers and servants of Allah. In the script, it is mentioned that if people were perfect in this life, angels would greet them in their homes, like they do in Jannah. Angels are also seen welcoming believers into paradise, symbolizing the divine approval and the completion of their spiritual journey.

💡Palaces of Jannah

These are the grand, beautiful homes described in paradise, made of gold, silver, pearls, and other precious materials. The video emphasizes the grandeur and perfection of these palaces, where the faithful will reside in eternal comfort. These palaces vary in design and materials, with some reserved for the highest ranks, like prophets and martyrs.

💡Taqwa

Taqwa refers to consciousness and fear of Allah, leading to righteous behavior. In the script, those who possess Taqwa are described as people who refrain from sinful acts and are rewarded with lofty dwellings in Jannah. Taqwa is a key quality in achieving the rewards of paradise, including the beautiful homes and special privileges that come with a life of devotion.

💡Ghuraf

Ghuraf are special rooms or apartments in Jannah, often described as being high up and shining like stars. These are reserved for those who have performed exceptional deeds in life, such as maintaining good character, fasting, and night prayers. These rooms symbolize elevated spiritual status and are a reflection of the higher ranks of those who have excelled in faith.

💡Masakina Tayyiba

This term refers to 'beautiful mansions' in paradise, as mentioned in the video. These homes are pure and do not require maintenance, symbolizing the eternal peace and comfort in Jannah. The idea contrasts with worldly homes, which require constant upkeep, highlighting the perfection and ease of life in paradise.

💡Youth in Jannah

In paradise, the faithful are granted eternal youth, as mentioned in the video. Their clothes will never wear out, and they will never age, symbolizing the everlasting nature of bliss in Jannah. This eternal youth represents the absence of decay and suffering, contrasting with the temporary and fragile nature of life on Earth.

💡Water in Jannah

Water in Jannah is abundant and flows throughout the homes, as described in the script. The presence of flowing water symbolizes purity, life, and peace in paradise. Water is often a sign of divine blessings in Islamic tradition, and in Jannah, it further enhances the beauty and tranquility of the believers' dwellings.

💡Patience (Sabr)

Patience, or 'Sabr,' is a key virtue that leads to higher rewards in Jannah. The video mentions that those who are patient in the face of difficulties, such as harsh words or oppression, will be rewarded with higher dwellings in paradise. This highlights the value of enduring hardship with grace, which is rewarded with eternal bliss.

💡Rivers of Paradise

Rivers are a prominent feature in the description of Jannah, flowing beneath the mansions and providing an element of beauty and tranquility. These rivers represent abundance, purity, and the endless rewards of paradise. In the script, it is emphasized that the homes in Jannah are built with rivers flowing beneath them, adding to the idyllic nature of the afterlife.

Transcripts

play00:00

So, you've been welcomed into your new home

play00:02

in Jannah, by Allah, by the angels

play00:05

and by all of the creation in Paradise.

play00:08

What does that new home look like?

play00:10

Abu Hurairah radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu

play00:12

said that,

play00:13

"We said to the Prophet SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam

play00:14

"Ya Rasulillah,

play00:15

when we see you our hearts are so soft,

play00:18

and we feel like we're people of the Hereafter.

play00:20

But then once we leave from you,

play00:22

we get involved in this dunya

play00:24

and we get busy with our spouses and our children

play00:27

and we feel like our hearts are hardened a bit."

play00:29

And the Prophet SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said,

play00:31

"If you were to remain

play00:32

on the same condition on which you are with me,

play00:35

the angels would shake hands with you

play00:37

and visit you in your homes.

play00:39

And if you were to not commit sins, Allah

play00:41

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play00:43

would replace you with others who will commit sins,

play00:45

and then they'll seek his forgiveness

play00:47

and he can forgive them."

play00:48

Meaning you're not supposed to be perfect yet.

play00:50

That's in Jannah.

play00:51

And the angels would greet you

play00:54

in every direction, like they would in Jannah,

play00:56

if you were to be perfect in this life.

play00:57

But keep on striving and keep on going

play01:01

and wait for that moment where you enter

play01:02

into Jannah and actually live that reality.

play01:06

(Silence)

play01:17

And on that note, the companions

play01:19

they responded to the Prophet SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam

play01:21

and they said,

play01:21

"Ya Rasulillah,

play01:23

tell us about Jannah, and its structure."

play01:25

And the Prophet SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said,

play01:27

labina tun min fidhdha wa labina tun min dhahab

play01:30

wa milatuhal miskul arthar

play01:33

wa hasba uhal lu'lu uwal ya'qut

play01:36

waturbatuha za'faran

play01:38

He said, SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam,

play01:40

that its structure is one brick

play01:42

of gold, one brick of silver,

play01:45

its plaster is musk, its gravel is pearl

play01:49

and ruby and its soil is saffron.

play01:52

So again, these palaces are from

play01:54

bricks of gold and silver.

play01:56

The plaster is musk, the gravel is pearl

play01:59

and ruby, and the soil is saffron.

play02:02

The Prophet SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said,

play02:04

man dhakalaha yan 'amu

play02:06

wala yay as wa yakhlud

play02:08

wala yamoot laa tablaathiabuhum wala tafnaa shababuhum

play02:13

He said, "Whoever enters into it will be pleased

play02:16

and will not grieve, will enjoy eternity without death.

play02:19

Their clothes will never fade

play02:21

and their youth will never expire."

play02:23

Ibn al Qayyim Rahimahullah

play02:25

he gives you the scene. He says, you enter

play02:27

into a lofty house and the distance

play02:30

between the ground and the roof is a hundred cubits.

play02:33

So it's super high ceilings.

play02:36

And he said it's built on a waterfall

play02:38

of pearl and ruby having red, green and yellow paths.

play02:43

And none of the pathways in Jannah

play02:45

are the same as the other.

play02:46

So there's differentiation throughout.

play02:48

And he said the water flows throughout the homes

play02:51

and this is the case of all

play02:52

of the homes of Jannah,

play02:53

that you have water flowing throughout.

play02:55

Wa masaakina tayibbatan fi jannatiadh

play02:59

And beautiful mansions in gardens of everlasting bliss.

play03:02

SubhanAllah

play03:03

notice that Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la says,

play03:05

"masakina tayyiba"

play03:07

He says "mansions,"

play03:09

so it's not just one mansion, "mansions."

play03:12

And he said,

play03:12

"tayyiba."

play03:13

They're beautiful,

play03:14

and they're pure, and they don't require any maintenance.

play03:16

You know, sometimes people worry

play03:18

that a big house means big trouble.

play03:20

And by the way, there's no kitchen

play03:21

in Jannah because

play03:22

what would you need a kitchen for anyway?

play03:25

You don't need to wash dishes, you don't need to vacuum,

play03:27

you don't need to clean anything of these houses.

play03:29

That's all taken care of.

play03:31

And Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la says it's not just houses

play03:32

but it is all sorts of properties.

play03:34

So Allah mentions 'buyoot', homes.

play03:36

Allah mentions 'qusoor', which are palaces.

play03:38

Allah mentions 'guraf', these special apartments,

play03:41

these special rooms and

play03:43

Allah mentions 'khiyam', the guest houses

play03:45

and the pavilions that reside

play03:47

on the outside of these gardens.

play03:49

And Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la says,

play03:50

"Wa itha ra'-ayta thamma ra'ayta

play03:53

na'eeman wa mulkan kabeera"

play03:55

Everywhere you look around

play03:56

you just see indescribable blessing.

play03:58

And that's reflected on your face.

play04:01

Taa'rifu fee wujuhihim

play04:03

nathrata an-naa'eem

play04:04

You look at the faces of the believers

play04:05

and you just see that they're so happy,

play04:08

that they're full

play04:09

of so much bliss as they look around.

play04:11

"Wa mulkan kabeera"

play04:12

And a vast Kingdom.

play04:13

It's not just one construction,

play04:15

but all sorts of constructions that belong to you.

play04:18

So what did these look like?

play04:20

Where the Prophet

play04:21

SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam,

play04:22

you know,

play04:24

talks about this particular palace

play04:25

that he says he SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam that belonged to

play04:27

Umar radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu.

play04:28

He said it was a palace of gold.

play04:30

Imam Hassan al-Basri Rahimahullahi

play04:31

comments on this,

play04:33

because again, they're degrees in Jannah.

play04:35

He says,

play04:36

"A palace of pure gold is only for a Prophet,

play04:39

a siddiq, a martyr, or a just ruler.

play04:42

And these are, of course, very similar

play04:45

to the same categories that are shaded

play04:47

under Allah's throne. Because remember the virtues

play04:49

of the Day of Judgment carry over

play04:51

into Jannah now.

play04:52

So you have a rank of palaces of pure gold, and in Jannah

play04:56

carats, of course, not in worldly carats.

play04:58

And that belongs to the highest level of

play05:00

its occupants.

play05:02

And Ibn al Qayyim Rahimahullah

play05:04

said, "There are palaces in Paradise of gold.

play05:07

And then you have some of silver,

play05:08

and then some of pearl, and some of ruby,

play05:10

and some of crystal."

play05:12

And 'Ubayd ibn Umayr radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu says,

play05:14

"And the lowest person in Paradise will have a home

play05:18

of one single pearl with its multiple

play05:22

rooms and gates."

play05:23

So the highest level is actually, funny enough,

play05:26

the word in the Qur'an

play05:27

that sometimes gets translated as apartments.

play05:30

But it's not what it may seem

play05:32

to people because apartments can seem lower

play05:36

in this dunya.

play05:36

In Jannah, they're actually

play05:38

describing something higher,

play05:40

something that belongs only to the Sabiqun,

play05:42

to the forerunners.

play05:43

And that's the word,

play05:45

'ghuraf,'

play05:45

so the rooms or the apartments.

play05:47

And these are what the Prophet

play05:49

SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam

play05:49

describes as constructions that are made of crystal.

play05:53

And they sparkle in the horizon of Jannah.

play05:55

So they're like these glimmering chalets

play05:58

in the sky that look like stars

play06:00

to the rest of Jannah.

play06:02

And he said,

play06:02

SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam,

play06:03

the rest of the people of Jannah,

play06:05

they see the residents of the

play06:07

ghuraf

play06:08

as you would see a long gone star in the horizon.

play06:11

And Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play06:13

describes the qualities

play06:14

of these

play06:15

ghuraf

play06:16

and the people that get them.

play06:17

Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la says that

play06:18

"Lakini al-Ladhina-ttaqaw rabbahum Lahum Ghurafun

play06:20

min fawqihā ghurafun mabnīyyatun tajrī

play06:23

min taĥtihā al-anhār

play06:25

"That for those who are conscious of their Lord

play06:27

they have these rooms.

play06:29

And above those rooms, there are other rooms

play06:31

and they have been built with rivers

play06:35

flowing beneath them."

play06:36

Waa'da Allah.

play06:37

And this is the promise of Allah

play06:39

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play06:39

And He does not fail in his promise.

play06:41

So first,

play06:43

'taqwa.'

play06:44

The first quality here is

play06:46

'taqwa',

play06:47

people that are God conscious.

play06:48

"al-ladhina-ttaqaw"

play06:49

And people

play06:50

of

play06:51

taqwa

play06:52

gave up the sins that spoke to their lower selves.

play06:54

So now they get the higher rewards of the

play06:57

ghuraf.

play06:57

Then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says,

play06:59

"illa ma aamana wa 'amila salihan

play07:01

fa'-ula'-ika lahum jaza'-u-ddi'fi bima 'aamilu

play07:04

wa hum fil ghurufati aaminoon"

play07:06

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says

play07:07

that it's those who do good deeds, those who believe

play07:11

and do good deeds that have multiplied rewards

play07:15

with us for all that they did.

play07:17

And they live in safety in these

play07:19

ghuraf,

play07:20

these lofty dwellings of Paradise.

play07:22

So basically now you have those who had lofty deeds

play07:26

and now they have lofty dwellings with Allah

play07:29

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la.

play07:30

And finally, Allah

play07:32

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play07:32

says particularly

play07:33

after mentioning

play07:34

'ibadu ar-Rahman,

play07:35

the Servants

play07:36

of the Most Merciful who tread the earth lightly.

play07:39

And when they are harshly addressed

play07:41

they respond with salam.

play07:43

And Allah

play07:43

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play07:44

goes on to mention all of these lofty qualities,

play07:47

the qualities of the people who are most beloved to Him.

play07:50

And they're not easy qualities to maintain.

play07:53

And Allah says, after the description of

play07:55

'ibadu ar-Rahman,

play07:56

the Servants of the Most Merciful,

play07:58

"ula'-ika yujzawnal ghurfata bima sabarau"

play08:02

They will be rewarded

play08:03

with high apartments because of their patience.

play08:05

For their patience of harsh addresses from the ignorant

play08:09

towards them when they responded with salam.

play08:12

And now Allah

play08:14

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play08:15

is responding to them

play08:16

with salaam and the way that they would

play08:18

forego certain things

play08:20

in this world.

play08:21

And now Allah

play08:22

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play08:22

is giving them dwellings

play08:24

that they could not have imagined in the Hereafter.

play08:26

So these dwellings have to do with taking the higher road.

play08:30

And so now they occupy the higher room

play08:34

And that's why Asiya

play08:36

'Alayhi Salaam

play08:37

gets this high dwelling

play08:39

"'indaka"

play08:39

with you

play08:41

because she bore the abuse. Not just

play08:43

of someone that was insulting, she bore the abuse

play08:45

of

play08:46

Fir'aun,

play08:47

and she took the high road.

play08:48

So now she has a room

play08:49

in the highest rank with Allah

play08:51

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la.

play08:51

Also the Prophet

play08:53

SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam

play08:53

mentioned homes for

play08:54

for those who leave off arguments, even when they're right.

play08:57

So they don't engage

play08:59

in lower manners and they leave off foolish joking.

play09:03

So they don't engage

play09:04

in lowliness with their humor to impress anybody.

play09:07

And they have good character.

play09:08

So they have high standards

play09:10

that other people don't necessarily abide by.

play09:13

And Rasulillah SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said,

play09:14

"There are rooms in Paradise, the inner of which is seen

play09:19

from the outside and the outside, seen from the inside.

play09:23

And you might be thinking, well, where's the privacy?

play09:26

Well, you don't have to worry

play09:27

about privacy because of the expanse and the elevation.

play09:30

No one can see you in these rooms.

play09:32

So these transparent homes, and we said,

play09:34

"Ya Rasulullah,

play09:35

Who are these for?"

play09:37

And he said, "Allah

play09:38

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play09:39

has prepared them

play09:40

for the one who feeds the poor

play09:41

and then who fasts consistently

play09:43

and who prays at night when other people are sleeping."

play09:48

So you can have multiple homes in Paradise

play09:51

but you have to commit to multiple deeds

play09:53

and strive to have golden qualities befitting

play09:57

of the golden palaces that we so desire.

play10:00

Ya ayyatuha

play10:04

an-nafsu al mutma'-inna

play10:10

irji'i ila rabbiki

play10:15

radiyatan mardiyya,

play10:19

fadkhuli fi 'ibadi

play10:22

wadkhuli jannati

play10:26
