be keeping them on walking in and

during the entire lengthening phase

up until they get to enough

consolidation where we can allow them to

weight bear without

the walking it all together and then

slowly progress through activities

onward

the expectation is very similar between

precise 2.2 and stride with our

follow-up

um we generally have patients stay for

at least two weeks here in las vegas in

korea

uh then we expect to see them every two

weeks at least

for an x-ray or they can send the x-rays

in as well as seeing them physically

every four weeks

during that time that's no different

between the precise 2.2 and the striding

one

so with precise 2.2 you're still

expected to do very similar type of

physical therapy routine

uh post-operatively uh we do expect you

to do about an

hour a day for five to six days per week

and that's very similar between

the precise 2.2 of the stride system in

addition to that generally ask patients

to do an additional hour

on their own uh where they can do things

like stationary bike

uh they can do stretches on a mat they

can do some low weight

type exercises such as leg breaths um

during their uh lengthening phase and

even to their consolidation phase

um so this there is a lot of

similarities between the stride system

and precise 2.2 system

uh when it comes to the rehabilitation

protocol really the only main difference

is the gate and the fact that you'll be

mobilizing with

the walking dead for the precise 2.2

during that lengthening phase and into

while with stride you may eliminate that

process um

and move forward with mobilizing without

walking in i cannot stress enough the

importance of a physical therapy

uh with this procedure whether you use a

stride implant versus a precise 2.2

there is essential to do physical

therapy during this

process like i said previously an hour

a day is the minimum to do but a lot of

patients can do an additional hour on

their own

and that is very important to the

success you basically

get what you put into it the more you do

the better you do and the more

normally you will progress during this

and the more you'll be able to obtain

from

lengthening

returning back to normal with a precise

2.2 system

generally like i mentioned before with

lengthening will keep you on a

walking aid while you're doing your

lengthening with the precise 2.2 system

if you're going for the full amount of

length which is eight centimeters that

may take you up to two and a half months

to achieve that

in addition it may take you two and a

half two months approximately to

achieve the consolidation in which case

you'll be fully weight-bearing at that

point

um it may then take up to 12 months to

regain

and return back to high-level athletic

performance

long-distance running and other athletic

endeavors

um and that will usually be dependent on

the patient so it will vary between

patient

to patient um but generally will give

you

guidance on how to progress in your

activities as you go through the

procedure

so the precise 2.2 nail as destroyed

implant should be removed at the 12

month

post-surgery mark so at that point you

no longer need the implant the

bone is fully consolidated the implant

has done its job

and the device is then removed so

generally about the 12 on

12 month point is when we would remove

the implant so as a consultant for
