Transcripts
welcome back to the
channel this is
dead we are back again in the prison
called life hope you guys are doing good
in the prison called
life now today we're going to talk about
um mental health I
guess and
um you know we can start off with
depression because it's mainly the
popular you know popular word now when
it comes to mental
health
but you know according to my
understanding I feel like most people do
not understand
depression you know even the word itself
depress it tells you that there is
something that's pressing you down you
know you cannot
express that thing it's depressing you
you know you cannot express it you
cannot push it
outwards so it starts to kill you
inside
so I
[Music]
mean when it comes to depression
according to my experience it happens
because you are not living the life that
you want to live you know there's a
situation in your life that's hindering
you from becoming the person you want to
be you know there's a situation in your
life that's hindering you from exploring
the life that you want to live and
that's exactly why so many of us are
depressed in this Society of ours
because
you know we're not living the life that
we want to
live we're just simply
not you know people have Financial
issues family issues all of these things
they cause a problem in the
mind you know they cause a problem um in
the
emotions you know so many things can be
responsible for for your
depression and man you'll find some
people out there who say that you know I
don't believe in depression it's in your
mind that's like somebody saying I don't
believe in in in in the flu virus is
just in your mind you
know you know when we talk about
depression man we talking about a very
very real thing you know this is
something
that that that that makes many people to
suffer inside
but and they have no idea how to handle
it you know
so I'll I'll just
um dive you know may maybe this might
not be a popular solution that I'm going
to talk about but
when you're going through
depression you know it's very
simple because I I've went through it
you
know I've went through my depression man
and
um I'll be honest I wouldn't
be I wouldn't be the person I am if I
did not go through the horror that I
went through which someday I will talk
[Music]
about but um you know when you find
yourself being depressed the worst thing
you can ever do is try to fight
it that's the worst thing you could ever
do the the intelligent thing to do when
you're depressed is to do nothing but to
listen listen to your thoughts what are
they telling you during that time you
know listen to those thoughts telling
you that you're worthless listen to that
you know don't react just
listen you know because when you're
depressed you tend to want to react to
what the thoughts are telling
you you know don't react you just listen
to the
thoughts Dance with the Devil in your
mind you know dance with him listen
because when you're listening to those
thoughts you'll start to realize that
wait a
minute you know something is lying to me
here you know you'll start to realize
that no that's not true what my mind is
telling me about myself it's not true I
know what I'm capable
of you know internally there will be
something in you that that begins to try
to fight back so that it can save you
from what your mind is trying to tell
you you know that's what you do when
you're
depressed don't try to to to to to seek
help and to tell other people you'll
just find negativity everywhere you turn
you'll just find people telling you no
that's not real it's in your brain and
of course it's in your brain but it's
real you know I usually say you can talk
to the therapist you know can talk to
the therapist tell them how you feel but
when you go to sleep at night it's you
and that devil
again you know so sooner or later you're
going to have to listen to that devil
and try to figure out what is this devil
saying and is and is what the devil
saying is it true or not about
yourself you know you have that
conversation with the devil in your mind
you know and sooner or later you know it
will start to click that no man you know
I don't want
this this is actually what I want in my
life you know I want better for
myself here's what I want to do you know
you'll start to climb out of that hole
little by little and before you know
it you know you have found a purpose for
yourself you know not for anybody else
but for yourself you know how you really
want to
live you
know when it comes to when it comes to
to depression
man it's honestly just a game of
who are you you know it's honestly just
that game of who are you it's it's sort
of like an identity
crisis but once you figure out who you
are there can't ever be anything that
can stand in your way if we're just
being
honest you know once you're able to to
figure out who you are you know what you
want for yourself trust me man things
like depression those are not things
that are going to affect you at all you
know
know suffering from overthinking that
will be all stuff because you know who
you are
now you
know social anxiety that will be a thing
of the past because you're not inside
your brain the whole time thinking about
how other people are perceiving you
because you sure about yourself now you
know it's all about it's all about
finding your IDE
identity you know and once you're able
to do that I promise you man you know
depression and stuff like that it all
[Β __Β ] goes out the window it all
ends it really all ends you
know I mean
um it took me a long time to figure this
out I won't lie it really did it really
took me a long time to figure out that
you know all this
time you know I thought that
okay these are my weaknesses this is you
know what I'm going through but um it's
really just I really just have to to to
to to find out who I am and what I
want you
know it really comes down to that who
you are and what do you
want and once you can have that figured
out man like it's game over you know
even for other people who try to mess
with you it's game over you know and
other people can recognize that okay
well this guy he see he doesn't seem
confused at all you know this is a guy
that believes in himself and just like
that you won't you won't be having
anybody that's going to mess with you at
all at all man
you know
[Applause]
so when it comes to depression don't be
so quick to react don't be so quick to
go to the
therapist you know because that that's a
chance to discover who you are that's a
chance to become free if we're just
being honest you know that's that's
something in you telling you that you
are not okay man
man you
know it's a symptom telling you that
you're not living the life that you
really want to live so what are you
going to do about it you know is a time
to to self introspect and find out who
you really
are you
know
so yeah man this is D
MF and I hope you guys found some value
in this and I'm signing out
