Q & A
What was the significance of the report released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) in June 2021?
-The report was significant because it acknowledged the reality of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), their unusual flight characteristics, and their potential threat to flight safety and national security, marking a major reversal from years of taboo and stigma attached to UAPs by the US government.
What is the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), and what was its role in the UAP report of 2024?
-The AARO, also known as Arrow, is the US Department of Defense's UFO investigation office. Its role was to deliver a historical review report on UAPs, which was criticized for being poorly researched and seemingly aimed at dismissing decades-long allegations of secret retrieval and reverse-engineering programs of alien technology.
What were the main criticisms of the Arrow report from UAP commentators and researchers?
-The main criticisms were that the report was not objective, lacked rigorous investigation, and failed to provide verifiable information. Critics also felt that it dismissed the possibility of extraterrestrial technology and did not adequately address the claims of reverse-engineering programs.
What is the connection between the Arrow report and David Fravor's revelations about a secret retrieval and reverse-engineering program?
-David Fravor's revelations about a long-secret retrieval and reverse-engineering program of alien technology preceded the Arrow report. The report was seen as an attempt to counter these allegations with little evidence, declaring no evidence for such claims.
Who are Don Schmidt and Kevin Randle, and what is their stance on the Arrow report?
-Don Schmidt is a ufologist and lead investigator for the UFO Museum in Roswell, and Kevin Randle is a military veteran and ufologist who has written numerous books on UFOs. Both were critical of the Arrow report, believing it did not take their research and findings seriously and failed to provide new insights or verifiable information.
What was the general sentiment among the UFO researchers and commentators interviewed in Roswell regarding the Arrow report?
-The general sentiment was one of disappointment and a lack of surprise. They felt the report was not genuine in its objectivity and did not provide any new or verifiable information, reinforcing their belief in an ongoing cover-up.
What was the local reaction in Roswell to the Arrow report?
-The local reaction was largely one of resignation and expectation. People in Roswell were not angry but rather expected the government to cover up the truth about UAPs, believing that the official explanations were not credible.
What is the significance of the preliminary assessment report on unidentified aerial phenomena by the DNI?
-The preliminary assessment report by the DNI is significant because it was the first time a high-level US government agency acknowledged the existence of UAPs, their unusual characteristics, and their potential threat to national security and flight safety.
What concerns do UAP commentators have regarding intelligence failures and national security?
-UAP commentators are concerned that similar intelligence failures that led to the 9/11 attacks could be allowing oversights that threaten national security and flight safety, particularly in relation to unidentified aerial phenomena.
What was the expectation from the UAP community regarding the Arrow report?
-The UAP community expected the Arrow report to either confirm the existence of extraterrestrial technology or to continue the cover-up narrative. Many were disappointed with the report's conclusions, feeling that it did not provide credible evidence or address their concerns adequately.
What is the role of the Roswell Daily Record in the UAP community?
-The Roswell Daily Record, represented by reporter Toby Martinez in the script, plays a role in local journalism and reporting on UAP-related events and opinions within the community, providing a platform for discussion and critique of official reports like the Arrow report.
What is the historical context of the Roswell incident in 1947, and how does it relate to the current UAP discussions?
-The Roswell incident in 1947 involved the US military's initial claim of having recovered a flying disc, which was later explained as a weather balloon. This event has become a focal point for UAP discussions and conspiracy theories, with many believing that the government has been hiding the truth about extraterrestrial technology.

[Music]
welcome back to reality check now before
we get into the nuts and bolts of what
we're going to talk about today which is
the arrow the pentagon's UFO
investigation team their historical
report I need to give you a bit of a
history lesson in June of
2021 the office of the Director of
National Intelligence DN I made what is
probably the most significant admission
of the last 50 or 60 years in a report
entitled preliminary assessment
unidentified aerial phenomena this
report was significant and it remains
hugely significant because dni is not
part of the Pentagon it's the body the
intelligence Zar that was created in the
wake of the 911 catastrophe when it was
recog ized that acute intelligence
failures had led to the 9/11 hijackers
being able to penetrate America's
national security and launch the
horrendous attack that they launched on
America and one of the concerns of UAP
commentators is that similar
intelligence failures are allowing
oversights that are threatening National
Security and flight safety and so it was
extremely sign significant that the dni
in 2021 delivered a finding that uaps
are indeed real that they do on occasion
exhibit unusual flight characteristics
and they are categorically a threat to
flight safety and may even pose a
challenge to National
Security this was a massive reversal on
years of taboo and stigma that had been
attached to the UAP subject by the US
government it was an extraordinary
acknowledgement by the most senior
intelligence Zar in America's government
so it came as a huge surprise in March
this year 2024 when the US Department of
defense's UFO investigation office Arrow
the all domain anomaly resolution office
delivered volume one of its so-called
historic review report on uaps and
identified anomalous
phenomena the pentagon's arrow did not
even try in my opinion to even pretend
that it was doing an objective report
what it delivered was a complete dogs
breakfast a series of poorly researched
conclusions clearly aimed at putting a
stake through the heart of decades long
allegations of a secret us retrieval
program of alien craft and a reverse
engineering program hidden from the
public hard on the heels of David gush's
Revelations of a long secret retrieval
and reverse engineering program it was
extraordinary to see the arrow office
declare with little evidence to show
that it had done any rigorous
investigation to then go on and make a
finding that it could find no evidence
at all for claims that the US government
and private companies have been reverse
engineering extraterrestrial technology
it poo pooed the notion that any US
Government investigation academic
sponsored research or official review
panel had confirmed that any citing of a
UAP represented extraterrestrial e
technology it also found that all of the
named and described alleged hidden UAP
reverse engineering programs provided by
interviewees either don't exist or are
misidentified authentic highly sensitive
National Security
Programs now because our correspondent
Xavier Walton was deployed to Roswell
Mexico New Mexico for the latest UFO
Fest we thought it would be interesting
to get him to ask some of America's most
prominent UAP
commentators what they thought of the
pentagon's arrow
report and this is what Xavier
discovered ufologist Don Schmidt is the
lead investigator for the UFO Museum in
Roswell as for his opinion of the error
report just a cursory examination of
especially many of the case reports that
uh they've already explained away in the
past like the government's explanation
for the 1947 Roswell incident Schmidt a
best-selling author about UFOs doesn't
think officials are ever going to
disclose the information to the American
public you're we were asking the very
Arbiters of the coverup to come clean to
finally roll over and acknowledge their
culpability as well as the fact that
they have been
deceiving Capitol Hill on this subject
for now going on 77 years he feels era
will quote dismiss the subject the idea
that the phenomenon was
conceded immediately after Roswell and
yet here we are now 77 years later and
we're back to square one that oh we have
no evidence there's nothing
extraordinary as far as in our
possession and as predicted and I don't
anticipate that we are again ever going
to have disclosure I really don't
because they are that entrenched as far
as in making sure that this never comes
out SM isn't alone in his thinking we
need as the researchers to be able to
verify if I came forward to you and said
well I know this about UFOs and you can
go to this Source you go to that source
to find out am I have I communicated
convincingly and properly what is in
that other document or that other person
said with here the arol report we can do
none of that we have it's all classified
material ufologist and Military veteran
Kevin Randall has written over three
dozen books about UFOs he questions
former Arrow director Sean Kirkpatrick
as well as Arrow's research and
Reporting he says we've come to this
conclusion they don't provide us with
any information we can check they give
us one or two reports that they claim
they've solved but we can't verify
anything what we need to do be able to
do is read the report verify you tell us
this and we need as the researchers to
be able to verify it even before any of
Arrow's conclusions were made public the
Roswell Daily records U reporter Toby
Martinez had low expectations I didn't
expect anything new from the report I
figured it would say there was no you
know evidence of extraterrestrial life
sightings which directly goes against
what David grush came out and testified
as to last year saying that we've
recovered craft and biologic so while I
wasn't surprised I was a bit
disappointed grush a former UAP task
force representative in a news Nation
exclusive last year the UFO
whistleblower spoke about his findings
and his claims the government does have
proof of alien life but they aren't
disclosing it the head of the pentagon's
UAP investigations program Dr sha
Kirkpatrick told Congress Arrow that's
the pentagon's UFO investigation body
has found no credible evidence thus far
of extraterrestrial activity offworld
technology or objects that defy the
known laws of physics while a large
number of cases in our Holdings remain
technically unresolved this is primarily
due to a lack of data associated with
those cases was that a lie well I know
Dr Shan kpatrick I've known him for
about eight years and you know I
expressed some concerns to Dr katrick
about a year ago and I told him what I
was starting to
uncover and he didn't follow up with me
and he has my phone number he could have
called me like grush the experts we
spoke with in Roswell have little faith
that government will ever tell us what
they really found I don't think we're
going to get answers through Arrow I
don't I think their job is to
investigate cases I think they're only
going to release ones that are easily
explainable I still personally maintain
it's a coverup of ignorance that they
still don't have any solid answers
themselves uh I think that's why there's
a large faction at the Pentagon that
even would equate this to something
almost Supernatural magical that we
can't bridge that technology it is that
being on the P so to speak so they don't
know from where from why or from who so
what do they disclose so I can even you
know sympathize with their their
position and all this so Xavier welcome
to reality check clearly the experts and
buying
it Ross thanks for having me and to say
the least right so uh we were out there
for a few days and it was almost it was
interesting right you know you you can
you can look at a person and you can
read their body language they don't have
to say a word the moment you ask them at
least for me um there in Roswell and you
know some of the biggest names when it
comes to to UFO research um you know Don
Schmidt Kevin Randle the these guys that
have been doing this at it for decades
and you you bring up the era report and
almost
immediately I'll be honest it I don't
want to say it seemed like they were
offended that we were asking them about
that but it it almost you could sense
that they just didn't they didn't take
it seriously because they didn't take
the error report seriously they're like
that what what what the government put
out was uh I mean it was a joke and
honestly it was what a lot of people
just said was it was expected you know
that that's what we were expecting you
know we weren't surprised by the lack
thereof or or the substance or anything
like that and to be honest that you know
that when you talk to people that some
of the UFO olist that we spoke to that
was their take on it you know we weren't
surprised at all because why would we be
this is what we expected all along when
it comes to to uaps or UFOs or anything
of the sort when it comes from the
government one of the things that I I
think we should all do our hats to is
the extraordinary work that you're quite
right Don Schmidt and Kevin Randle have
done over the years the two of them have
probably done more to expose what really
happened at Roswell in 1947 than any
other researchers their work is
formidable and what characterizes it
Xavier is methodical detailed interviews
with firstperson Witnesses they've done
the homework they've Tracked Down the
firstperson witnesses who have direct
knowledge firstand evidence of what
really went on and I'm just interested
to know because one of the things that
um I know David grush has pointed out is
that Arrow made this declaration without
interviewing any of witnesses that he
has provided to the Congress and he's
refused point blank to cooperate with
ouro because like a lot of people he
doesn't trust them he doesn't think that
their Endeavors to investigate the
phenomenon are indeed objective or fair
was that the impression you got from
Kevin Randall and um Don
Schmidt absolutely it's and you know it
was interesting because I was speaking
to Kevin Randle and not knowing you know
how many years he's been at it he's
written like something like 30 books and
that you know Pals a comparison you
think about all the people he's talked
to and then he started talking about
this report and he was almost
discrediting it because of the fact that
did did they even do their their
homework you know and I think he was
again I don't want to say he was
offended by this report by no means but
in my mind it it it almost seemed like
it was doing everyone a disservice like
like the report itself was just a waste
of time like you're you're wasting our
time telling us what either a we know or
a we don't know but you're not giving us
anything new and I think that was the
sentiment from talking to Kevin Randall
talking to to to Don Schmidt too I mean
they had more information from their
sources and the people that they're
tapped into their networks um and the
error report in their eyes didn't even
scrape the surface of what should be you
know publicized and discuss with the
public and I think that's why they were
just a little I don't I'll say
disappointed to be polite um and that's
why they weren't surprised as to to what
the error report was when it came out
it's actually very instructive to look
at the history of what they uncovered
about Roswell because if we go back to
1947 when the story first broke the
public was told and there was a huge
press release put out by the Roswell
Army Air Force Base announcing that they
had indeed found a flying disc and the
pr man for the military guy called
Walter H from recollection he's one of
the people that Don Schmidt and Kevin
Randall interviewed and how before he
died did a deathbed deposition where he
flatly admitted that he was basically
put up to a lie and uh similarly with
their conversations with major Jesse
Marcel who was the intelligence officer
who actually went out to the site the
one thing I respect and admire Don and
Kevin for is that they've done their
homework they've gone on the ground and
the the thing that really shocks me is
how poor in comparison the efforts by
the pentagon's UFO office are if what
they're trying to do genuinely is to try
and rebut and to be seen to be
scientifically rebutting the claims that
being made of some kind of conspiracy of
recovered non-human craft of recovered
bodies the very way that the arrow
historical review report was written has
actually undermined their credibility
and done more to strengthen the belief
in a conspiracy and a coverup than the
other explanation which is that it's all
nonsense and that it really was a spy
balloon is that your impression from
Kevin and Don as well in relation to the
arrow
report absolutely and you said something
just a second ago um you use the word
genuine Ross and when it comes down to
it I I don't think that you know um
Arrow was genuine in being objective
when they were going about um this
report and that's at least coming from
from both Don and Kevin and those guys
they've done their homework they're
still doing their homework they're still
trying to uncover more it never stops
you know with them and that that that's
the interesting thing and that's why it
almost you know to guys like that you
know it almost seems like for them this
was a slap in the face um there was
another guy I talked to who is uh you
know he's a a UAP reporter for the I
think it's like the the Roswell Daily
Record Toby Martinez and he's another
guy who is you know deep into this and
has been studying it for years and he
almost thinks it's like you know don't
insult my intelligence with this piece
of I don't know what you want to call
you can use whatever word uh
but but it almost was like a slap in the
face to these guys because at the same
time they've spent countless hours
trying to to prove things to get their
story straight and then you you read
something like this it's like well did
they even did they genuinely make an
effort to try and provide more
information um to the public and to us
and a lot of times just doesn't seem
like it at least according to Don and
Kevin and Toby the other gentleman I
spoke with well one of the things that
we do know from the preliminary
inadvertent leaking of Lou Al's book Lou
alzando of course had served in the
Pentagon investigating uaps for the
military and uh in the inadvertent
release of his book by the Publishers in
the United Kingdom which have been
leaked all over the web in the last few
weeks what we do know is that Lou
apparently says that the Roswell crash
was a real crash of extraterrestrial
craft so that's going to be a very
interesting Revelation to actually see
the detail on in Lou's book it would
appear that there is some if you like
semiofficial confirmation from somebody
who's been inside the loop in the
Pentagon so watch this
space Xavier I think um I'd also like to
conclude by asking you what was the
local reaction what are people thinking
on the street the sort of people who are
attending you o Fest are obviously
Believers they're people who are
convinced about the reality of if you
like a a non-human Intelligence on this
planet um but did anybody talk to you on
the street with the locals angry at
what's happening inside the Pentagon the
perception that there's perhaps another
cover up happening 77 years after the
first one took place in Roswell in
1947 yeah I I don't think and this is
just talking to to locals there it's
hard to get angry and be frustrated when
it's something you've been you know
enduring your entire life like it's same
thing with with this report from Arrow
or the arrow report you know they they
weren't angry so to speak because they
expected it and a lot of these folks you
know you talk to them they almost expect
the the government to to cover up what's
really going on a lot of people believe
yeah it was real what happened back in
1947 the crash was real it was
extraterrestrial you know the stuff
uh that that that our good friend Frank
Kimbrell is founding finding compelling
evidence they believe yeah that is real
um all these things are are adding up
right and they just think the government
is lying to them so to say that they're
angry I I didn't get that sentiment more
so it's just kind of status quo this is
what it is this is what we're used to
this is what it's been our entire lives
and honestly I don't think anyone
believed it was going to change at all
it it wasn't interesting though we we
did um ask some people you know like why
do you think or why do you believe um
that there is other life out there and
the the the answers are are obviously
you know uh the ones you you hear
normally and the the the big one was you
know do you really think we're the only
intelligent life out there considering
how massive the universe is and every
time that's the one I I just kept
hearing over and over again and then you
know they would hear about news nation
and they would hear about David grush
and they'd hear about Ur Ross and and
then it would come back to I think
they're hiding something but then again
they wouldn't get mad about it they just
believe in their heart of hearts that
you know the government's just not
telling us
everything well 77 years on from the
mystery of what happened in Roswell New
Mexico in July of that year I don't
think people accept the official
explanation for what happened back then
and I don't think they accept the
official explanation that's been pedal
by arrow in its most recent report this
year Xavier Walton thank you so much for
joining reality
