modern art is contemporary art it's
understandable since both modern and
contemporary mean current now or the
present but in the art world the two are
as different as apples and oranges
modern art is a modern at all but
actually pretty old it roughly started
during the industrial revolution around
the 1860s and this time I just wanted to
stop making the same art to have been
done for hundreds of years and started
experimenting with abstractions with the
popularization of photography artists
didn't see the point in trying to copy
reality anymore and you sir paints more
freely with modern art came many isms
like Impressionism symbolism cubism
Expressionism and even futurism when ISM
in particular
Fauvism with one of its biggest painters

expressive with color the folks French
