Transcripts
so this is normally my setup that you
know 50 mm a nice balance when it comes
to shooting people in terms of video but
also Stills but we're going to Showcase
some differences before we start talking
about the phone the new Bia C60 Ultra
and right now we're recording at 24 mm
and of course you can straight away see
quite a bit of a difference my face is
much more stretched out and there's much
more in the background itself and this
is what normally a smartphone shoots it
but there's a phone that does it a
little bit different let me show you and
this is 35 mm and you can straight away
see a big difference yes there is much
less in the image itself in the
background but also my face it's much
less stretched out and this is where the
Nubia C60 Ultra lies 35 mm equivalent so
let's showcase what that kind of
difference makes in terms of Photography
now of course before we start talking
about results let's talk about the
specifications that matter we get a 50
megapixel main sensor with an f- stop of
1.6 35 mm equivalent and a 1 over 149 in
sensor size for the Periscope itself we
get a 64 megapix sensor with an ftop of
3.3 85 mm equivalent and a 1 over 2 in
sensor size and then the 50 megapixel
Ultra wide as well with an f-stop of 1.8
18 mm equivalent and again a huge sensor
for the ultra a 1 over 155 in sensor
size video recording can go all the way
up to 8K and 30 frames per seconds but
you can also record 4K and 120 frames
per second and for those who are
wondering yes you can record that 4K 120
frames per seconds on all the sensors
for the front facing camera there's a
little bit of a difference for the
international model you get 12
megapixels for the Chinese version you
get 16 megapixels with an ftop of 2.0 26
mm equivalent and a 1 over 2.8 in sensor
size
of course you do get a hugee battery
which definitely is helpful that is
6,000 milliamp hour and you can charge
set up at 80 wat and yes this is
included in the Box itself going for
USBC to USBC in terms of CPU you get the
Snapdragon 8 gen 3 now the nuia z60
ultra really has this benefit with the
35 mm is you can create compositions
that for me look a little bit
more
natural it especially when it comes to
people itself 35 mm is just a more
natural
look this could stand up really
nicely if I make it
straight after to hold my phone not
straight it's not going to
work
that as always the question why do I
hold it like this and why don't I hold
it up uh straight up simply put more
leverage more control over how I take my
shots see and it's stuck I don't lose it
it's of course after some training with
it what I can do is easily take a shot
like
this load to the ground with the camera
is loow to the ground where if I take it
any other
way as in
such I cannot not only can I not put my
Wrist like that my hand is not close to
capture button and I can only use volume
buttons which pushes the phone that way
therefore I do it as such what you can
also do is create shots where you look
up at the tree you see those branches
and everything light hitting it like the
sunrise on the side itself so use an
auto ride in this case and go really
down low use this stump for instance
a little bit as a kind of dep of field
she natur really don't have a lot of
with the phone especially with the ultra
sensor even though this is quite large
now again reason why I the DRS are down
good luck trying to take it like this
not only will your hand be straight more
but also it's just far less secure this
way thumb Right add of course the
shutter button and it's so much
easier basically that's why
here for instance you can clearly see
like light hitting this kind of button
because it comes through the trees
itself hitting it like that now this is
a shot that I would normally not take on
a phone but I can see like an Envision
an edit on it uh we trying to create
more
effect with the way light hits it and
then create like a kind of different
color for it
to just give it a little bit more of an
effect again what I try to do often as
well is limit the amount of things in
the shot itself too many things makes
this shot just look plain example if I
take this shot what am i
showing there's way too much to focus on
there's no depth there's no proper
contrast nothing so therefore I take a
shot that not only is like this because
you limit what is visible but also it
just allows you to focus on one single
thing those are basically some of my
tips when it comes to especially mobile
photography now when it comes to the
Nubia z60 Ultra and a camera setup
there's a lot to like not only because
of the sensors being so large but also
because of the different focal lengths
the main sensor with a 35 mm equivalent
makes me approach shots differently
because with a white sensor that
composition will be very different this
35 mm is all also amazing for portraits
giving a very natural look without
stretching the person out too much as I
demonstrated in the intro and here you
can see how that looks as well as using
85 mm in terms of portrait and I think
it's one of my favorites when it comes
to capturing portraits of people though
I will say adjusting the depth of field
isn't really a good thing you can do it
technically but it just looks at it very
differently and therefore I would say
the results that you getting from the
shot itself is the one that you have to
accept and I think with the Nubia set 60
Ultra that the 35 mm also drives me to
take more shots of my city street
photography of people will probably be
amazing on it which I don't do much of
because I don't like taking sneaky shots
of people but follow orange scooter on
Twitter for that link in the description
and while you're down there don't forget
to check out my Instagram as well where
I post a lot of pictures though I will
say I do miss proper black and white
when it comes to the nuia set 60 Ultra
and when it comes to my setup I always
have it a natural and not a gorgeous
then when it comes to the Periscope the
zoom is really solid at that 85 mm focal
length shots look detailed and it can
really take some really nice
compositions with it again with City
photography I like what I got out of it
but again I do miss black and white yes
you do have that other black feature but
there are some colors in there but with
this Nubia set 60 Ultra it shouldn't be
slapped on when it comes to that
performance in daytime photography and
yes you can zoom in to 170 mm as well
and if you really want to go for it Time
study is the max possibility but I never
use that and then the ultra wide yes
this is not as wide as a lot of other
phones offer there's no 12 mm it's 80 mm
and that's fine by me shots that I
create with this are still giving me
that right feeling and shots look very
detailed with highlights being handled
well as well as dynamic range and again
in general shots look pleasing though
will turn down the brightness yet again
when it comes to using any of these
sensors because it just gives that bit
more natural look so when it comes to
video recording all of course support 4K
60 frames per seconds as well down siiz
is well I can zoom in like this this is
digital Zoom this isn't zooming in
between different focal lengths if we go
to one see that's
digital stability is on standard cu the
that you use super it is only limited to
10 MP at 60 frames per second now we are
using the 35 mm lens again you cannot
zoom out to the ultra right from this
not zoom in to the 85
mm 85
mm curious how this one comes out on the
phone it looks a little bit shaky we'll
see of course there's some processing
afterwards no
only to see how it
performs just to Showcase this is 4K 30
frames per seconds trying to zoom out
right now and it doesn't work zooming in
again you can technically but it's all
digital this should be the equivalent of
the 85 mm which is the
Periscope but it doesn't look like
it it did anything
now for 8K it is limited to the main
sensor only so this is 8k 35 per
seconds and again limited to only the
main
sensor now of course having your camera
under the
display has its physical limitations it
going through kind of like pixels to
create then still an image that you can
see is it a good image not really but
for myself someone who doesn't take many
selfies at
all um not too bothered about it but for
those who want to see what the quality
is for it it's of course important to
see how it performs and this is it now
before we go to low light I also wanted
to showcase the 4K in 120 frames per
second and again this you can do on all
sensors more and more phones have the
possibility to record at set 4K 120
frames per second but not on all sensors
this is an impressive feed but it is
limited to 15 minutes also we're talking
about video recording while all of these
support 120 frames 60 frames and 30
frames per seconds on all sensors you
cannot switch between the different
focal lengths while recording a video
you have to stop recording and then
switch to the lens that you want to use
now when it comes to low light
photography I will say I got a bit
sucked into using dark black this is is
one of the filters that you get on Nubia
set 60 Ultra it really gives a nice look
to the shots I've taken in low light
giving a more dramatic look to the shot
itself even a bit cinematic but when it
comes to L light photography shots can
come out amazing with great detail some
shots I've taken are really really solid
and also gives that really nice low
light feel though in some cases the
Periscope is a little bit weird effects
while zooming in can be a little bit of
softening happening and sharpening and
everything happening at one spot there I
would say the Periscope is the weakest
sensor when it comes to that lowlight
photography but in terms of look and
feel in general I will say that the
Nubia z60 Ultra honestly is a pretty
solid performer though I would say also
not the most consistent but when you get
the shots they can look amazing this
shot this shot that I took with ultra
white is truly stunning the light the
reflection on the t Road the person
having light on him the night view in
the shot being really well maintained
and also the nice details in the shot in
general and if
edited it's totally one of my favorites
even without editing I think that this
shot looks really amazing taken on a new
set 60 old f
so what do I think at the end of the
Nubia set 60 Ultra I actually really
like taking pictures with it yes there
are situations where I really need to
turn down the brightness of the shell
itself but that's easy you just step on
the point that you want to focus on and
turn down the brightness and then you
will get a pretty natural looking shot
and it's definitely beneficial to have a
35 mm focal length this just adds
something to the shot itself the
composition is a little bit different
and therefore I would say also this
phone is more orientated to street
photography especially when it comes to
people in street photography that kind
of shot really fits well with a phone
like this especially with the style that
it's going for and the style options
that you have in the phone now there are
some things worth noting I think in low
light it's a little bit inconsistent
when it comes to having those shots but
if you do get it right you get beautiful
shots as stated but overall low light
isn't the strength of it but neither is
it the weakness of it it just needs to
work a little bit on the consistency of
set shots and then of course we have to
talk a little bit about the video
recording as well while I don't do it as
much having the possibility to switch
between different focal lengths is
pretty handy to have especially if you
record 4K 60 or 30 frames per second of
course that's the quality that I
normally always go for I hardly ever use
8K I only use it for samples like this
to Showcase how it performs but having
the possibility to quickly switch
between different focal lengths while
recording is useful and I don't have
that on this Nubia set 60 ult you need
to stop the recording and then switch to
a different focal length that you then
want to use and then you can continue
but it isn't beneficial to do it that
way I'd rather have it that you can just
quickly swap between different focal
lengths and I feel like it should be
possible on a phone like this especially
with that Snapdragon 8 gen 3 inside and
of course the possibility to record 120
frames per second on all sensors you you
would assume that then it would have the
possibility to switch between the
different focal LS but sadly it does not
have the possibility the Nubia set 60
Ultra for me has been a really good
telephone when it comes to those
photographies yes you're not going to
take selfies with the phone because
let's be fair the camera quality well
not the camera quality but the light
going through the screen itself to take
a selfie does affect the quality of the
shot itself and therefore shots that
come out of it video recording that
comes out of it just isn't very good but
I think most people that buy a phone
like this would know but if I would say
something that's definitely a weakness
when it comes to the Nubia set 6 either
I've been really enjoying my time with
the nuia set 60 Ultra I'm going to take
it on more trips as well to see how the
camera holds up against others but it's
really difficult to compare a phone like
this because of the different focal
lengths that it uses compared to some
others again as stated the composition
becomes very different when you take
shots with something that has 35 mm
equivalent compared to something that
has 24 mm equivalent white balance can
be very different because of course the
shot is very different so therefore I
would say
it's not the easiest to compare this
kind of phone with something like for
instance my xiaomi 14 Ultra either way I
hope you enjoyed this video of course if
you are interested in the phone itself
there is an affiliate link below you can
check that out no they did not pay me to
make this video or anything like that
they don't have an opinion about my
video this is my opinion and that is
what matters to me and of course I want
to tell you about how it performs in
general but if you are interested after
this video don't forget to check out the
affiliate link that does help me either
way hope you enjoyed this video of
