Transcripts
hey what's going on guys heads here from
Infinity loops and this might be the
best bind and fly ever made by Beta
fpv do I have proof to back that up no
but I'm still going to claim it
[Music]
first off I want to start by thanking
beta fpv for sending this out to give us
a chance to take a look at it what we
are looking at here is the air 65 Racing
Edition and I specify Racing Edition
because I've been told there will also
be a freestyle Edition that comes with I
believe different Motors and different
propellers there might be other
differences there but I'm not aware of
them this little fella here comes in at
a whopping
17.1 G uh it's pretty incredible for a
bind and fly to be that light so uh very
happy to see that out of beta fpv
something else to be excited about for
any of you other whoop Builders out
there even if you're not interested in a
65mm platform uh much like myself I'd be
more interested in a 75 mm uh this
flight controller that's in here is also
new this is the air FC by beta fpv it
comes in at 2.9 G that flight controller
is using the ICM 42 688 P gyro the air
FC comes with an integrated VTX that
goes from 25 M all the way up to 400 m I
have been told that there will be an
option in the future for this flight
controller that has Express lrs built in
however this one here does not so we are
using one of beta fpvs little 0 bitty
elrs receivers up here on the top
another interesting thing I could
mention about this flight controller is
that it is familiar to the shape of the
diamond so we have only three mounting
points and the front there is loed off
so you do have kind of a diamond shape
this flight controller has no motor
plugs on the bottom it's all direct
solder another interesting thing about
this flight controller is this USB plug
is not a USB plug at all uh it's
actually more of like a jst plug I guess
and you plug that into an adapter that
has a USBC plug on it so I'm assuming
they did this to save weight and I guess
my only gripe with that is it's it's
just another thing another little dongle
to keep laying around little dong so uh
just a potential for something else for
us to lose basically I guess is my only
grip with that but it is neat that they
considered uh I'm assuming for weight
loss reasons they they used plastic
there is a camera plug on the board
that's the only thing that plugs on this
board outside of the UFL antenna so
there is a camera plug though it's right
in the front and that is the normal
typical beta fpv size that's smaller
than uh your average camera cable moving
right along we have all of these
components sitting inside of the Beta
fpv airframe And as you'll notice the
arrow is on the back side the The Little
Triangle part it's facing out the back
that's weird right it's like a tail
arrows go forward you know
forward they also have the air canopy up
front here which I believe is around
like7 G or something like that it's very
light that has four mounting points on
it and some adjustable camera angle
there in the back and you can kind of go
from where I have it now all the way up
to about holy levels of up tilt
that I will never experience or go
anywhere close to so I didn't even
bother trying I actually broke one of
the canopies while I was flying outdoors
and it kind of let the camera sit up
more and it was closer to my native
angle that I'm used to flying at the
camera angle so I actually enjoyed that
and I flew probably 20 packs through it
and I didn't get any jello with it so if
you're interested in the lower camera
angle on this you can just Lop the uh
back part of the canopy off and just let
it sit forward a little more it worked
for me inside of that air canopy we have
the CO3 beta fpv camera which normally I
would think is a pretty decent camera as
is it's a big step up from their
previous cameras but mixed with this VTX
in this play controller I was really
pleased with how the image looked it was
really really clean image we are rocking
not one not two not three but four
beta fpv 0702 SE Motors on here the race
Edition comes with 27,000 KV which I
found to be quite peppy and the
freestyle Edition I have read comes with
23,000 KV 0702 SE Motors sitting snugly
on top of those 0702 Motors are the
gemfan triblade 129s propellers these
are 31 mm and I've heard that this only
comes on the racing Edition the
freestyle Edition should come with lower
KB Motors as well as the HQ ultral light
31 mm props and last but certainly not
least bet fpv was kind enough to send
over some of their 300 milliamp and 260
milliamp lava batteries those are 1s
bt2.0 folded cell batteries and we'll be
using those on all the flights that
you're going to see in this video on
average I was getting around 2 minutes
230 depending on how I was flying I did
a little bit of racing I'm not great but
I did my best considering this is the
race Edition uh but I also did a lot of
freestyle because that's just well it's
kind of what I do so I did a lot of
freestyle a lot of racing on average two
2 and 1/2 minutes usually closer to 2
and A2 minutes one last thing of note
about the battery power as far as this
bind and fly is concerned the bt2.0 plug
that it comes with is already at 180°
Bend which is fantastic because you're
going to put a lot less stress on the
end here at the plug instead of having
to bend the plug over to plug it into
the battery it's already facing the
right direction finally down to the most
important part how much is all this
going to cost now it has just been
released today but from what I've been
told because this is obviously filmed a
week ago I've been told that this will
be releasing today as in whatever day
you're watching this uh for
$95 that's what I've been told $95 if
that is the case uh that is incredible
considering how this thing flies and the
components that it comes with 95 bucks
is wild to me so kudos to Beta fpv if
they manage to keep the price down that
low and put out a product that flies
this well if it is in fact $95 now we're
going to get into a little freestyle
footage a little bit of racing footage
should be mixed in there as well and
then we'll come back and talk a little
bit about my experience over the last
couple weeks flying the air 65 enjoy

the flights I was able to get out of
this and the Maneuvers I was able to
execute were surprising to me it's
usually not something I can do with a
bind and Fly Right Out of the Box in
such a small space uh and crash
repeatedly over and over and over and
over uh and just I didn't break anything
it wasn't until I decided let's just see
how it flies outside just to say that we
did and I took it outside I tried to do
a matty flip over my tree I crashed and
I broke the canopy in the process
however breaking the canopy just kind of
like I said earlier pushed the camera
angle up for me which is perfect because
I thought this was a bit too spicy for
me um but having it kicked forward a
little more and there was no Jello-O or
anything I had a blast I actually really
only changed the canopy on this to take
some pictures for the video if I'm being
honest I'll probably put the broken one
back on to fly it some more the weight
on this thing being as low as it is is
really impressive for a bind and fly I
do think there are even more
opportunities to lose more weight on
this without really damaging the
Integrity of the build I'm not a huge
weight weeny myself so I'm sure some of
you guys out there could come up with
even better ways or more creative ways
to save weight with this but for now I
think where it stands it's it's pretty
well executed for a bind and I beat the
beas out of this build and I've yet to
bend a prop break the frame or damage
any of the components outside of that
crack on the back of the canopy that
broke the camera loose that was was
flying Outdoors like an idiot but I had
previously flown about 40 packs indoors
freestyling racing and things in the
basement and just I mean smashing this
thing around really hard for you Savages
out there that only watch Nascar for the
crashes I'll put a little crash reel
together here for you so you can see
just how badly I beat this thing up

overall I am very impressed with this
bind and fly like I said as far as beta
fpv is concerned and the bind and flies
that I've gotten from them for review or
ones that I've purchased over the years
I've been buying their stuff for like
four years now and I've never been as
impressed as this and I just I don't
want to change anything about it cuz I
don't want to mess up their formula here
I feel like they they nailed it with
this one but I am only me and I am not a
racer so I'd love to hear your opinion
on this and your feedback Down Below in
the comment section I hope you guys
enjoyed this video thank you again to
Beta fpv for sending this over really
really impressed with the work you guys
did on this one I hope to see more from
this platform from you guys in the
future maybe a 75 mm
version call me for now that will do it
for the air 60 5 racing Edition from
beta fpv make sure to check out that
link down below if you were interested
in one for yourself take care of
yourselves thank you for watching and we
will see you in the next one e
