to dye my hair so I usually dyed my hair

myself it's about time that I dye my

hair now because you can see I'm having

starting to have black roots and it's no

good so I'm gonna dye my hair well

anyways um so I'm not going to dye my

hair this exact color again I'm going to

diet medium golden chestnut brown so I'm

just going to go a little bit darker and

a little bit firmer so it comes with

developer which is awesome and it comes

with the actual hair dyed color and it

also comes with instructions and it

comes with a conditioner cool so the

first thing that I'm gonna do is first I

want to make sure that I'm wearing a

t-shirt that I don't care about because

that's really important you know you

know you might just leave some stains on

your shirt so you want to make sure

you're where you're sure that you don't

want to care about then for extra

coverage then I use a garbage bag and I

poke a hole in it money poked my head

through like that

the other important thing that you have

is gloves it doesn't matter what kind of

clothes you have but these gloves are

from Sally's Beauty Supply and they're

actually just made for dyeing hair and

they're reusable so they're awesome

they're really strong and sturdy and one

more thing um for a Dyer hair it's also

good to note that your hair color will

stay in a little bit longer if you dye

so hair has been washed the other day so

it's like day-old dirty hair so first

thing we're going to do is snip off a

little tip on the applicator bottle okay

it's nipped off yes it is but then we

remove the and up then we take the

colorant very careful always feel like a

chemist when I do this then we're going

to pour the liquid into the developer

bottle and we are going to replace the

lid okay and then you have to make sure

you put your fingertip on top of the

little opened tip because when you shake

it you don't want any of the liquid to

go into your face or into your eyes

cover it and then shake it away from

your face so the next thing it says to

do is to section off your hair in four

sections so I don't really do that it's

because I just filmed instead I just do

look my own section so I do kind of like

a half ponytail so I can get the under

layer

I actually do is I rub it onto my hand

and then I just kind of pump it through

like rub it in or sometimes they just

draw a line here

and I know you're supposed to use a comb

and everything so I mean you might look

at me and think wow she is a long lazy

girl it's not that I'm lazy oh maybe I

am lazy but it's also that I am thick

wavy hair and my hair type is not

supposed to be combed through it because

it just ruins the waves and it breaks it

down as it slightly damages your hair

especially wavy hair because it's like

not even jumbled and then you try to

like break that it's not good for it so

I know what you're thinking um you know

I'm being lazy and my hair's not going

to come out even but my hair always

comes out fine so um and sometimes it

doesn't come like yeah it doesn't come

out like all one color but it does come

out for the most part and listen thanks

about it is that since it doesn't come

out one solid color like Vicky's off as

like almost like I have highlights so

it's like a mixture but um usually I do

a good job and people are surprised when

I tell them that I do it middle and I do

concentrate out of it on by the scalp

you're not supposed to rub the product

into yourself but I just do it I just

kind of um rub the product right by my

scalp where I need it the most

kind of comb through with my fingers

there's any combing involved I'll use my

fingers okay so that's that for now and

I'm going to go back to it later and now

I'm going to do the top section of my

hair

apply the product directly on to my

um change in haircolor right now so

what's the same it just looks a wet um

but I'm going to keep on distributing

product and also as time on the product

should um I mean the color should change

to whatever color this is gonna be it

just remembered that I forgot to mention

that um you really want to concentrate

in the root you want to really make sure

that the roots get colored the most and

what's really important is that you kind

of play around with your scalp but you

don't want to rub it the product into

your scalp but we want to do is want to

comb your hair back as if you're going

to put it into like a ponytail or

something and make sure you really

distribute the product you can wing it

throughout the scalp and also make sure

your get underneath by the scalp

look at my face so I'm going to leave

the product in for um well paper says 40

minutes it depends on what hair dye

you're using um while I wait I'm going

to put my hair up and put it in a shower

cap make sure it's all away from my face

and then just note you want to make sure

that you wash off all the product that

is on your skin because it could harm

your skin um

days after you die hair is really when

it's going to start showing up make sure

you just follow all the directions on

the box and condition your hair after

like at least wait a day at least and

then you can shampoo and conditioner so
