from Amazon on and I just took it out of

the boxes I'm very excited to get

started on this so I got two of these 5

lb

bags of Freedom coconut wax all natural

coconut wax for candles it's a blend of

soy and coconut wax it had good reviews

um this was all from Amazon so quick and

solid price so I'll leave it in the

description box if you want to make your

own candles so there are actually

microwave directions as as well but I

did buy an electric stove for making

candles because I'm on like also candle

talk so we've got I think everything we

need I think solid chance I forgot

something um and then this little kit

here came with this electric stove top

then this metal pourer here and it does

have like measurements on the inside and

it also came with this little silicone

mat so it won't slip around or when when

it's hot it came with a little stirer as

well and it came with a thermometer that

is like safe for wax because I have a

food one but I want to have a separate

one obviously for this um then I got

these candle wicks um that go in the

bottom and then lastly I got our

essential oil for scent I'm really

excited to make my own candles too cuz

like I want mine like really strong so I

just feel like like some of them are

strong enough but they could always be a

little stronger do I want to like

totally overdo it maybe anyway the ones

that I got are Hotel themed which I

thought would be so nice for spring cuz

like there's nothing like the smell of

like a bougie hotel lobby so that should

give this Vibe here okay so it comes

with a bunch of different ooh

different ones we have Jasmine and mint

I naturally have to smell them all oo

that smells like a Florida a Florida

hotel then we have a grassland

Dew M okay I like that one this one's

giving very

like clean cotton and then lastly we

good but my three favorites are the

luxury night grassland Dew and white tea

if I'm going to just do one today to

start us off I'm going to do the

grassland Dew cuz I really like how it

smells but I really like this packaging

it's very easy to just put away I have

good reviews as well all right so first

and foremost let's set up our little

electric stove top so the whole thing is

you have to heat it to 160° stir in your

fragrance and or color and then pour

immediately into the Candle jar overall

it seems relatively simple but we all

know with my DIY abilities this is going

to go really well or really

badly and I want to get better at crafts

this year I really do I wanted to try to

make like aesthetic reel for this too

and post

it and I just know it's going to be like

chaos we're not going anywhere babe

every time I stand up the dog's like

where are we going okay I have so many

cute old jars so I'm just going to use

these and if I run out I'll go to like

Goodwill or Savers but today we're going

to use this this is like what I got a

bouquet in a while ago I just never

really reached for it super cute so I

think that'll be great these are little

nubbies that go on here so it doesn't

slip and slide around and honestly the

cost of all this like if I can make a

decent amount of candles like it's going

to be so much cheaper in the long run

but we'll see we'll see how this goes

all right you guys so I just plugged

this in and turned it on and now we're

going to start melting our wax so I

looked up how much of the oil to put in

with you know the wax once it's melted

um and it was looking like about 15

drops there's like a percentage of ratio

they say like 3% of oil to the amount of

wax so you know we going to wing

it we're going to wing it okay all right

you guys I just took my candle wick and

I super glued it into the bottom of here

it was actually way easier than I

thought and uh the wax is

melting really well well and I added in

a little bit more cuz obviously it goes

down when it melts and then once it's

melted we'll check it with the

thermometer and get it to 160 a few

moments later when I tell you I'm about

to have a fullblown panic attack over

this guys I

feel I'm going to cry I'm literally

going to

cry this this I don't even know how I'm

going to clean this up this is an actual

nightmare from hell I have no words I

have

absolutely no words when I tell you this

is by far one of the worst experiences

cleaning up hard candle

ax um been at it for you know maybe 30

minutes uh scraping with this plastic

scraper um I steamed

off these two little cabinet drawers and

wiped it off and then y brought me this

because he's working from home he

empathizes you know but it's uh it's

everywhere when I tell you it's here

of them they did have cherry blossom

cake which is the next shade up of the

pink uh the checkout lady did say this

has been really popular and if it

doesn't work to just bring it back so

we'll see if it works cuz I really love

the pink cupcake shade it's just like a

more pale pink but this I don't know

this might be fine we'll see I love this

powder under my eyes I was so happy they

had this if you have not tried the

tartlet tubing mascara it is so good
