you guys were able to do so well in the

second half that wasn't going right for

you in the first half we really just

went back to our bread and butter uh we

just calm calm things down pre snap we

to know where we're going who we're

blocking and what our assignment was and

the first half what what happened why

did you guys fall behind by seven 17

points at half time it's a very small

margin of error in this league and when

one guy's off of off of his game on a

play it looks really bad and they're

gashing us embarrassing us and we looked

ourselves in the mirror and wanted to be

looked at as a good defense it really

seemed like when Dean Campbell decided

to really challenge you guys and go for

it on fourth down passing up very

makeable field goals that he gave you

guys the opportunity to seize momentum

that definitely bit him in the butt but

uh I feel like going forward on fourth

down a lot kind of will come back to

bite you you made it to the Super Bowl

in your rookie season you're coming back

this season how does this one how is it

more special or is it more special how

do you feel about this one it it is more

special just because of the bonds I've

made over the years uh when I was a

rookie I was just along for the ride and

I feel like I'm a big part of it now I'm

a leader and uh we most definitely are

not done

and congratulations on filling up that

what was it like in that first half what

were how did it feel I mean you guys

were down and it didn't look good for

the uh for the team for the fan base

here for anybody with associated with

the 49 yeah I mean it's tough obviously

being down like that season's on the

line um but for all of us it was like

man it's it's the first half um it's the

first half

and what's up G appreciate man love you

um yeah down 17 we still have a whole

half to play and so we went in the

locker room like we got to take take

advantage of every single Drive no

hiccups or anything defense do your job

offense let's put up points and uh we

needed momentum we found a way to do

that what was the temperature in the

locker room like how did you guys feel

about that going back out there down 17

I mean we all I think we all felt it

like all right this is it you know we

have to do something we had to step up

there's nothing that's going to be given

to us we have to go and take it and so

we all felt it there wasn't really much

that everyone's like we know what we got

to do and so we came out we did that

found a way we knew it was going to be a

tight game all the way to the end and

sure enough we found a way when the

defense came up that first fourth down

stop did that light a fire in or you

guys that was huge huge um obviously I

feel like we were rolling from the drive

that we had as an offense and then for a

defense to get a stop like that you feel

that in the whole stadium everyone's

going crazy um and then for us we just

we just went and rolled from there and

then the second fourth down stop yeah

obviously yeah I mean they showed up man

they've shown up last couple years like

time and time again for us as an offense

uh the defense has shown up and so it's

a team sport um everyone does their job

really well in this organization and and

uh I can't say enough good things about

everybody man I love my team we haven't

seen a whole lot of Brock P scrambling

skills until tonight tell me what was

there that opened that for you yeah I

mean obviously you got to find a way um

you dropped back they did a good job

with just bringing some pressures and

different looks if someone wasn't there

I was like I got to use my legs this is

it you know um it's an NFC Championship

you got got to find a way got to give my

team some juice got to move the chains

and so that that's what was going

through my mind but um outside of that

man can't I can't tell you everyone did

their job Kyle called a great game

offensive line did a great job love the

boys does it make it any more special

after what you guys went through last

year in the NFC championship game I mean

yeah obviously you get to the NFC

Championship Game some things happened

um we weren't able to do it and then to

come a fast forward a year later here we

are and we finished the job so obviously

we we still got one more to go but we're

extremely uh thankful for this

opportunity as sunk in you're going to

the Super Bowl what's that has it sunk

in that you're going to the Super Bowl

yeah I mean this is crazy I'm still

taking all this in but yeah we got one

Willock and Steve how do you explain the

switch of your Defence from the first

half to the second half well I just summ

it up like this and Cal said this last

week uh just character man uh the men in

that locker room uh I knew for a fact

that we were going to win that football

game and it wasn't really a lot lot of

yelling and screaming we just talked

about the things that we had to correct

and everybody just had to do their job

and starting up front the D line took

control we started playing a little bit

more man man which is allowed our

linebackers to get down thehill and we

needed someone to spark us we talked

about trying to you know create a

takeaway and 26 he carried the ball

loose we mentioned that all week and

when Gib came up with that play Gibson

man it was phenomenal I knew right now

that was the one that was going to turn

the tide for us there were a lot of gam

or a lot of plays that the defense made

that one also the fourth down stops did

you feel like the the door was kind of

left open for you guys and the challenge

was on your guys to make those fourth

down stops well we knew coming in all

week that they were going to go for it

on fourth down that I mean that's just

who they are and that's why we always

talked about really trying to keep them

out of third and short because we knew

they were going to go for it and then in

the second half given the opportunity

they did and we Rose to the occasion

yeah what what does it mean just for

this unit that you know it wasn't a it

wasn't smooth sailing the whole year for

this defense but now there's two teams

standing and your unit as one of them

just to be resilient you know it's

always going to be that somewhat

criticism about what we should do uh I

know we we're one or two that's still

left all right and we're heading to

Vegas and to to be in this situation

we're going to make the corrections we

need to correct uh it's going to be a

difficult task ahead you talking about

two first ballot Hall of Famers in

Mahomes and Kelsey so uh we got our work

cut out for us but I'm excited about the

opportunity that we have and looking

forward to it and what about you on a

personal level what does it mean for you

to get to that Super Bowl it means a lot

you know uh third time hopefully is a

charm I've been saying it for so long

I've been it to and uh matter of fact

you know the last one on this field

right here uh Super Bowl 50 and we

didn't win uh but to come and do it here

with these men this is the best

organization man I've ever been a part

of they do it the right way that you

know uh Jed and and and the whole York

family and and Kyle and John uh they

collaborate on everything and it it it's

just phenomenal man so I'm just blessed

to be a part of it and looking for for

to finishing this day I know your

concentration was on the other side of

the ball but did you happen to catch a

peek at Brock pie and did you see him

work his magic in that second half I

heard the crowd man and you know I

looked up a couple of times and he he

was doing his magic this guy is just so

great man I I I love to see him play and

you know they try to talk about a game

that but I know he took control of the

game today Eric is the longest tenured

49er can you put this into perspective

what happened here today man it's uh it

was a hard far win you know uh game of

football uh doesn't always go perfect

but uh you keep playing till the end and

uh we found a way to win today and I'm

so proud of my team uh this journey that

we've been on the ups and downs um to to

have a win like that and send us to the

Super Bowl was an amazing feeling man I

thought you guys dug a hole in that game

against the Packers but this one was a

real big hole 17 points at halftime did

you guys ever feel it kind of slipping

away was there any Panic with you guys

man it was just getting back to uh what

we know we're capable of man and um that

was a message at halftime and we don't

need no motivation you know our season

was on the line and we just needed to

play better and execute better and then

the the fumble recovery that was a big

play uh did you guys have a a suspicion

that you could get a turnover against

jir Gibbs well turnovers are huge um you

know they're the biggest indicator and

win wins and losses and um you know we

needed to make make some big plays and

get some turnovers if we wanted to get

get the momentum shifted and um we we're

able to do that and what did you guys

think on those two fourth Downs where

instead of sending out the field goal

unit they decided to test you guys they

decided to challenge the defense those

were huge plays you know we knew that uh

that was going to come up in the game

you know we knew they were going to be

aggressive and um you know we knew we're

going to have to play Big in in those

moments and those were those moments

were going to be the you know deciding

factor in the game and and huge plays

for us and so to get off the field when

they go for it you know turnover on

Downs that's huge and now a rematch with

the Chiefs in the Super Bowl have you

had that have you thought about that at

all and and has it has it sunk in that

you guys are going back to the Super

Bowl it hasn't yet man this game was

crazy it'll sink in tomorrow um rematch

of 2019 it's going to be a great game

man I can't wait to get down there demo

what did Kyle say to you guys in the in

halftime in the locker room to turn this

game around uh really just picking up on

the mistakes you know we we didn't play

our best game but um you know we found a

way got and got the dub uh a comeback

win you know offense was on fire in the

second half defense was we was on fire

needed to be made we made them I mean

that fourth down stop the first one

down stop man we just KN it was all or

get the back the ball back back to the

play lights out and that last play We

depend we put we put everything in on

that last play and and then from the

sidelines watching Brock pie what did he

look like out there very poised he's

very mobile he used his legs today oh

man I love Brock man he's a real

competitor you know he come in and work

day in and day out um he's a he's a he's

a true he's a true leader all right

how does that feel feel great you know

first first thing what they say we go to

the first half to tying it up and then

down everybody counted us out um the

only thing that really matters is is the

team you know we we kept pushing we kept

fighting we we said it on the sideline

we if this was going to be our last bang

you guys say to each other on the

sidelines in the second half uh it

really was Fred you know the the voice

you feel the voice of the defense um he

came to us and say how y'all want to be

remembered is either we going to lay

down or we going we going to nut

up and we got the duve so it look like

honestly was just one of the things we

had to look ourself in a mirror we

wasn't playing our Brandon football it

almost seemed like the moment was big

for us at the end of first half man and

we knew the type of guys that we had in

there great leaders like Fred and Bosa

man everybody just said hey we took

accountability nobody was playing all

Brandon football we had to just settled

down we came out second half offense got

the firing my fake never waver I know

through this second half playing from

behind what can you say about his Poise

only say I'm just happy he's my

quarterback and I say this confidently I

wouldn't rather have no quarterback in

the National Football League than 13 and

man I'm happy that guy's on my team such

a humble hardworking young dude I mean

to be so young and early in his career

witness this right now it's just a

of this culture man having guys like

that on the team man you can't let those

able to come out here and get a win all

body through everything man at my old

ripe age right you put your body through

the hard training camps and the and the

offseason workouts and you do it for

me and appreciating me and showing me so

of my life and how was the energy in the

stadium today the energy from the time

we W walked out here it was ridiculous

it was going to be electric it just was

kind of like man it just got to be a

this and even against the Cowboys I

thought that was the most electric I've

heard and then you here this year this

stadium was rocking it's something I

Brock py tonight well he's the reason I

gave him the Kaki nuts tonight so he got

the player of the game because the way

he managed the game and go out there and

put a plays there's a reason why he

should be MVP and so I'm very excited

definitely I saw our guys just rally

something that this is the reason why

they call the faithful they're faithful

to the the the fans are are great and

they just know what to do and they bring

it every day so I know you're not going

to be playing in the Super Bowl but you

still were part of this season I mean

how proud of you are your of your

teammates I got a lot of respect for my

teammates I think they show up each and

every day with a willingness to work

willingness to get better uh and if you

just want to get better every day then

you're you're going to have a lot of

success so uh really proud of these guys

and excited how everything turned out so

great Christian what happened to the

locker room at halftime to turn this

game around uh just a resilient group

guys that didn't Flinch uh we knew it

was on the line obviously and just so

proud to be a part of this team and how

big were those fourth down stops huge

man I mean our defense stepped up when

they needed to and uh we just kept

chipping away all right you're going to

the Super Bowl for the first time how

does that feel feels amazing man God is

good man I'm just so blessed to be a

part of this team real quick Frank what

did you see from this team on the field

today it showed toughness it showed

everything man they was down 24/7 and

then you know didn't didn't crumble man

they just kept fighting and they got the

win and hey that let you know like

championship team don't fold um things

weren going right um you know all sides

of the ball offense defense but they

kept fighting and got the win I mean how

huge were those fourth down stops in the

second half it was great man and you

know I don't know what Cary told him in

the second um going to the halftime but

it was a totally different team and I'm

so happy man because this team very

talented and you know they deserve to be

where they at and especially how the

game went they let you know you got one

more and they'll be Champions I mean how

much can you feel it on the offense when

the defense makes a fourth down stop to

change the momentum like that oh you

ready they let you know hey let's go you

know what I'm saying and um

you know when they make they made a you

know um key stops and offense came back

and and did what they had to do and

that's all the part of the football you

know you I see one part of the ball ball

all all all night you know and know then

once they make a key sto and they they

get you going man and that's what

happened tonight what what can you say

about Brock P's play oh he bald bro you

know uh everything you know you in

football you going to have ups and down

but he kept he stayed pull and you know

uh what I loved about it you know when

he had to run the ball when he had to

run and get first down he did it at the

end and that's why we got to win thanks

know we we fell short last year and we

was we was now 17 at half it was just

time for us to buckle up and just come

we came out and got the d man that's

right weren't able to get in there but

watching this what did you think man

dream come true I feel like the guys we

set we set our minds to a goal at the

beginning of the year and this is

hopefully it's going to be on our side

guys were calm coaches came in gave us a

great speech but at the end of the day

we've been here before we've been in

tough games and we knew that you know a

lot of people had we had a Target on our

back but we had to come in we had to we

had to own our house today so that's I

mean how big were those fourth down

stops woo they were major major at the

end of the day playing a tough team like

that you got to have some make you got

to have some big plays and our guys came

in and made a big play with the fumble

with the stop it was major major thanks

know coach came in there and said you

know we we're not going to go out like

play how we played that first half this

second half and that's all he really

said we we pretty much got the message

from there and uh the way we came out

second half man that that show you the

willpower of this team our coaching

staff you know we went out there and we

went and fought we wouldn't fought and

the lions played great you know and and

and they they're a great team but we

fought for it baby we fought for it and

what about those fourth down stops how

huge were those those were big stops

right there um we couldn't get a stop in

that first half you know and uh you know

we sat down as the defense and all we

needed was a stop we said a couple stops

offense going to start clicking and and

we going to end up right where we want

during halftime to turn this game around

well first and foremost I got to thank

God you know uh get us opportunity to

even be here and uh man we just did what

we need we what we've been doing all

week man we went out there and just we

weren't laying eggs we just weren't

executing honestly we just weren't

executing well uh and we had to just go

in the locker room and I don't think

there was no yelling man we just like

man let's go back out here man the

up excuse my French let's go out here

and do what we've been doing all year

and that's just what it was and

defensively

defensively they they play Lights Out

second half and uh offenses did what we

need to do and put points on the board

finish drives and uh came out with a W I

mean how huge were those four down stops

for you guys to get back out on the

field big and that's why I said defense

St man they play they play lights out

tonight and uh offense just answered all

right and what can you say about Brock

fie

MVP man what happened in the Locker him

to turn this game around at halftime man

we just we just understood that you know

that first half just wasn't us uh we

just had to get back to playing our

football we knew that we were still in

the game um and we were able to come out

and do it all right watching Brock

pretty from the sideline what did you

think unbelievable man I mean he's had a

hell of a year he's been playing at a

high level but today was just different

and he played better than I've ever seen

him play um and I'm just glad he's our

quarterback all right those fourth down

stops especially that first one that was

the beginning of it what happened on

that fourth down stop I mean just just

doing our job you know as just as a

defense we knew that we just had to get

him off the field to let our offense get

going um we just able to make a play and

you're going to the Super Bowl going to

the Super

Bowl all right it was a tough first half

how are your nerves I have none I have

none I that was a such a display the

second half of the character of this

football team we just knew that if they

all came together that that this is what

could happen and they did it man I'm so

proud of every guy on that field

unbelievable I mean you saw Brock pry

take a big hit your son take a big hit

in that series and then he bounced right

back up I mean what can you say about

how your son performed in this game um

I'm so proud of him and the resilience

and just uh you know after what went on

last year and how bad he felt for the

guys I knew he was going to do

everything he could to take these guys

back and to get in there and uh 2023

Champions unbelievable humbly and now

are your nerves okay now I am I am so

full of joy right now it's not even

funny not even funny I I I got to pinch

myself it's unbelievable I'm so happy

for the uh for the Niner Nation man the

faithful are unbelievable I mean you

were out in the stadium so how loud was

it out here it was loud even his brother

plays college football he was like man

this is amazing you know these people

showed up it was just unbelievable and

everybody behind us and around us stayed

so positive the whole time so uh it was
