Ok. Now, tell us about your preparation journey in 1 minute.

After that, we will come to the main topic.

that How to actually read Biology NCERT book?

So, over to you Bhavya.

So, I started preparing in 2020,

in my 10th std.

I talked with Dr Rajat, in 10th std.

He gave me Aman Sir's number to guide me.

Aman Sir, asked me to start studying from now onwards.

So, I started studying a bit.

My main preparation was from 11th and 12th.

Like up till 3 months before NEET.

I called Aman Sir, 3 months ago.

He told me very important thing,

which boosted my scores a lot.

So, I want to share it with all of you.

Because that is the most important thing, I could have done.

If I would have not done that,

I could not get 355 in any condition.

I could get around 330 or 340.

I am going to share that from my NCERT,

in the upcoming video.

So, let me tell you from starting. When I firstly read NCERT twice,

I do not highlight anything at that time.

Because that is the 1st time, you are reading NCERT.

So, there are so many things, you don't know.

When I read for the 3rd or 4th time, that is when I start highlighting.

At 1st, you may see 2 highlights here.

I highlight 1st with yellow.

After that, in the next reading, I highlight with blue.

So, these are the points which I am forgetting and doing wrong.

What happens with it? You get a concise thing,

that what do you need to study later on.

I don't need to read the entire NCERT.

Because if you will read the entire NCERT again and again, then you won't get that much time.

So, what I do is, I read only highlighted things after that.

So that, I can easily revise for my chapters.

Right. 2nd thing.

If you will see, in the last few years, ARs and statement based questions have increased a lot,

in NEET.

Those questions are mostly, which is done wrong by you.

So, the best way according to me, to tackle them is.

If we talk about ARs, then, wherever in NCERT,

'you can see 'due to' words or 'because' words

You write AR there.

Specially in those places, where Assertion and Reason statement is not forming, so obvious.

You feel like, if it will come like this, then I might not understand it.

So, you write 'AR', there.

So that, when you will see it again, then you will think that, "I know this.

This is written in NCERT."

Correct.

The 2nd thing, where statements are asked.

When they make any statement true to false.

What they change is, 'Not', 'Every', 'All, 'Always'.

Always and all statements are written in a very few places in NCERT.

It is written maximum 2-3 places in 1 chapter.

So, that is easier to find and it will not confuse you more.

Because when a statement with 'Always' comes to you,

then you get confused if it is true or false.

If you will know, in how many places 'Always' is written in NCERT,

then you can be very clear.

What I used to do? Wherever, always is written, I used to circle it.

So, that it will come to my eyes, everytime.

After that, we come to, the star marks.

You will be having tests in the entire duration.

The questions you ae making wrong, according to me, at least in Bio,

it is better to mark the same thing in NCERT, than making an error analysis,

in any manner. I used to do star mark. You can do it, in any way.

Because NCERT is the only book, that you are going to read again and again.

That helps. You see the same in front of you. Ok, I have made it wrong previously.

So that, you will not do the same mistake again.

So this is done.

After that, the main important thing, which Aman Sir told me,

3 months ago, focus on the topics of PYQ.

There are 2 things.

Either you mark PYQ questions, mark them in NCERT,

or make a folder of those questions which you find difficult.

I would suggest, folder is fine in Physics and Chemistry.

But the same thing is here. You have to see Bio's NCERT again and again.

So the pyq that came from NCERT lines,

I used to mark them with green pen,

so that it will be visible separately.

If you will see, in this entire page, only at 2 places, pyqs are marked.

So, I know, when I revise, these are the most important topics,

thatI have to revise.

By the way, how many years of PYQs do you have? I have last 10 years PYQs.

You mean, from 2013 - 2022.

Right, you mean of every 13-14 times, when NEET happened.

Ok. Now, this is a question of Francis Crick.

This pyq has repeated for 2-3 times.

So, I used to mark star on PYQ, to show it is more important, and repeated for more no. of times.

Your 12th and 13th PYQs have some facts,

have 4 options, or such lines,

which is not in NCERT.

Because NEET has asked it, it may come again.

I used to write it here, as a fact, no matter what line it is.

So that, I can see that it is already asked by NEET, and it can be asked again.

Correct.

You can say, this is also the same. Here, we wrote extra thing,

which is not in the NCERT.

And like some questions, which I did wrong in 'large loops',

then I circled it.

I've circled every time I've done it wrong.

So that, I can see it extra from darkness.

Ok.

Now, you see this is a page of mole bio.

You can see, only 1 paragraph and 1 line is highlighted.

Only 1 line has come in PYQ,

the lowest one.

So, you will feel, just read this. If you are reading this,

then also, it a question of 2023, you will do it easily.

So, you look, on what content you are focused, and things are working out for you.

From this page, what we understand, from the above genetic code,

5-6 PYQs, have come.

If you are studying only this part from this page, then also you will do questions easily.

These are some extra informations, which is given in some questions.

Here, you can see, I used to write incorrect statements separately because,

sometimes it happens, the questions NDA is asking, the lines in it,

given in the options, can be a bit different from NCERT.

You need to keep those lines in your mind.

Because it may happen that they repeat it.

So that is 1 point very important.

Then your diagrams come.

Now, normally people ignore this diagram.

Questions can be made from this too. It is not asked yet. But it can be asked easily.

Like, from which end of TRNA, amino acid is added.

You need to understand diagram in depth, that questions can be made from this too.

Because it is not written anywhere in the text.

But, you must know the in depth knowledge of diagram.

After that, look at this, there is only 1 PYQ, in the entire page.

And same question came from it.

I remember when I talked with you in February,

in detail, We had discussion for 1-1.5 hour.

So, what I told everyone on Youtube.

You did previous year topics more than PYQs which is more important.

Whatever line you read. Look, you need to do PYQs definitely. There is no doubt about it.

But, everything which is asked related to it in NCERT,

before and after, if you do it,

then definitely, you will make right answers.

What she has done, is something truly amazing.

What she has done exactly? She saw PYQs.

All the PYQs, of 10 years. NEET happened for the 1st time, in 2013.

From that time till today, she has actually underlined them in her NCERT.

When she used to revise it, then the PYQs which she has marked with green pen,

she revised it again and again.

But, when you read NCERT, because the PYQs are a lot in number,

So, it is very concise, and written in a very lovely way.

You need to understand everything in this diagram. They can ask questions from anywhere,

very nicely.

Whose peak is going more? Who is coming before, how many times? It is not written in text.

But, you have to analyze it. Questions as such will come from it.

Right.

You know about this diagram. Questions have come from it many times and will be coming.

Then the most important thing comes, summary.

My idea about summary is, you read text once then just after it, you read summary.

You know these lines are not in the text.

You just underlined it.

When you ae revising summary, you don't need to revise the entire summary, just read those lines,

because there are few lines, which is not written anywhere in the text.

It is written only in summary.

Like this last line, cortisol, and estrogen. It is not written anywhere else.

PYQ has come from it as well.

Then such tables come. Many times, questions have come from this as well.

This is of evolution. You have to remember these animals, and everything.

It is not described anywhere else in the text.

After that, people say, chapters like evolution, you need to do extra.

All questions are not solved.

If will leave such diagrams,

then questions won't be solved. This diagram look easy.

But, you have to see very details.

You need to remember order of every 4 things.

You can make a mnemonic out of this.

After that, what is coming out from the 1st line or 2nd line?

In which era it is coming? That is also important.

Then comes your last diagram. Questions can be made from this as well.

Which two animals have the closest related line of evolution?

Which are related the farthest?
